The aftermath of the fight ensues. Will De'Jon take the L? Grandma reminds everyone why she's the Queen of the Leopards.
The fight was over and Suri's team had won.
Exhausted, everyone had begun to crowd around Suri and Izuku who were already being smothered by an equally exhausted Mina and Tooru. The crowd went back and forth from checking on each other, inspecting the hole that Suri and Izuku and sent De'Jon crashing into and then the magical binding the vampire had on him now. Something that the greenette was a mere second away from pulling out his pen and notebook to take notes on. However, while they all agreed the fight was over with, one person thought otherwise.
"Master De'Jon," Akeno hissed, limping forward and clutching her side tightly as she made her way towards the group. She was covered in blood and her clothes were torn to pieces from the fight that she'd gone through with Aiko and Mai. When she got closer, she snarled up at Pazuzu who stepped in front of her, blocking her path towards the vampire. "Get out of my way, wolf!"
"Are we done here?" Pazuzu asked in a low, stern tone.
"Move, wolf! Or I will move you," Akeno sneered as she tried to push past Pazuzu and was met by Aiko and Mai, now standing beside him and blocking her path.
"Are. We. Done?" Pazuzu asked once again, emphasizing every word.
"I," Akeno started harshly, paused and looked between the wereanimals, past Suri, and to the still unconscious vampire lying on the ground bound by a casted familiar. She growled out in frustration, then took in a deep breath and let it out slowly as she tried to calm herself down. The group watched as her expression went from that of a rage filled wild animal to someone who longed to be beside the boy on the ground. "Yes. We are done."
She pushed again, this time finding little resistance from Pazuzu and Aiko, and circled around Suri and Izuku to come to De'Jon's side. The group watched as she fell to her knees and looked down at the unconscious vampire, beginning to stroke his cheek affectionately. Her brows furrowed as she looked at the glowing snake wrapped tightly around him and shot Ryuko a stern glance of disapproval which was returned with an incredulous look and a quick head shake. There was no way Ryuko was letting De'Jon loose yet and Suri couldn't blame her or agree with the sentiment more.
"You should take your lions and go heal up. He's not going to be going anywhere for a while and I will wait here until he wakes up tomorrow evening if I have to," Suri stated bluntly.
"No, I will stay," Akeno replied with the same bluntness in her voice while not even making an effort to make contact with Suri. "I will need those of my lions that have more severe injuries come to me please," she continued, again refusing to make eye contact with anyone that she wasn't associated with.
Two lions cautiously proceeded towards the group, going wide to avoid any of them and coming around the backside of the hole to where Akeno and De'Jon were. One was limping with an obvious broken leg, hissing every time any sort of pressure touched his leg in any way. Mai smirked, which made it known that that had been her own handiwork on the lion. The other was a lioness who was currently missing an arm and had several shirts tied around the wound to stop the bleeding. She gave Aiko a sour look mixed with pain as she came to Akeno beside the other lion and together they outstretched their hands and cupped either of Akeno's shoulders. The head lioness then closed her eyes and let them roll to beast as she let a flood of her power out of her and into the room, filling it with heat and the scent of sun baked savannah grass.
The scent of lion and the spread of energy made the other lions audibly purr and stretch out, acting like oversized house cats as they bathed in that warmth and let it increase their own healing factor. All traces of their battle with Suri's group disappeared, some healing completely and some leaving nothing but small scars as a reminder of fighting with Pazuzu, Aiko, and Mai. Akeno's own injuries disappeared, several becoming small scars left by Aiko and Mai, before she shifted, going into beastwoman form and letting out a low rumbling growl that filled the room. With her hot, wild energy flowing around the room, Akeno then placed her hands on De'jon's chest where it transformed, going from energy hot like the dessert to being mixed with energy that was cold and dark that wanted to swallow the warmth whole.
It was an eclipse of contrasting energies that made it just that more brilliant and powerful as the colliding storm of power made the two lions behind Akeno call out in silent screams. Their eyes went from human, to beast, to pure white as the energy flowed from Akeno and De'Jon and into them where it reshaped them and made them whole. The male lion's leg reset in an instant, the rumbling of growling and purring from the room hiding the sound of bone snapping back into place and ligaments realigning. It was enough to cover the sound of the lioness' arm reforming in a display of bone, muscle, and skin reforming out from underneath the bundle of bloodied shirts. Most had to look away from the sight because of the grotesque nature of it all, the wereanimals were used to it but Izuku watched out of fascination. When it was over, the lions, all of them, were back to full health and full form with plenty of lycanthropic energy radiating from all of them. Especially Akeno.
"You've got to be fucking me right now," Suri scoffed, shaking her head as she watched Akeno work and the results of her power on full display.
"I… have so many questions," Izuku admitted.
"Same. I'll start. Why'd you hold back?" Suri narrowed her eyes at the lioness and let a growl fill her throat from the blatant disrespect her and her pride had shown.
"What makes you think we held back?" Akeno said, her voice doubled and layered with a thick sultry rasp. Her tone was also clearly sarcastic.
"Seriously?" Suri shook her head and motioned to all of the lions in the room. "You healed everyone, replenished all of their auras and energy, you… You fucking called flesh!"
"That's something rare, right?" Mina asked curiously, leaning in closer to Suri so that she was whispering into Suri's ear but loud enough everyone heard her.
"Yeah," Suri snorted in disgust. "It's something only incredibly powerful lycanthropes can do. Like, it's one thing to call beasts, but calling flesh? That's… you're on a completely different playing field if you can do that."
"Can you do it?" Aiko asked curiously but got her answer from the expression Akeno gave Suri which clearly stated that the lioness was feeling high and mighty right now.
Suri watched Akeno's expression and the rage inside her began to boil. She snarled at the lioness as her energy rose to the surface and spread outward in an instant, pushing and whipping at Akeno's power violently. The warm electricity of Suri bathed her allies in comfort and a feeling of home while it snapped and bit at anyone else. As that summer breeze flowed around them, Izuku, Mina, Tooru, Yumei, and Ryuko all gasped at the sudden rush of life and energy that filled them. For Pazuzu, Aiko, and Mai, they all let out low growls that borderline sounded like pleasure and desire as their own energies were replenished and filled back up to the brim. It took more energy and a display or raw power from Suri to amplify the healing properties of her own group. Sure, she was able to help heal the cuts and bruises that were riddled across everyone's bodies but it wasn't as fast and as flawless as Akeno's.
"No. No I can't," Suri grumbled as she stared a hole right through Akeno. "I could probably call beasts if I wanted to but it would hurt. I don't have the stockpile like older lycanthropes do. I have a lot of raw power and brute force, sure. But you on the other hand?"
"Oh please, don't try and flatter your way out of this, Suri," Akeno scoffed. "You'll find that flattery gets nowhere with me."
"Yeah! And neither does the truth, you dumb thick headed bitch," Suri snapped back.
"What's thick headed is you! How could you refuse my master?" Akeno spat, angrily leaning herself forward towards Suri over De'Jon's form.
"Where do I start?" Suri laughed bitterly. "First, his dad mind fucked me and Yukari Kurogami to test us to see if we were fit to mate with his offspring. That was creepy as fuck by itself. Then he," Suri spat, pointing angrily at De'Jon. "He comes, kidnaps me and my girlfriends, mind fucks all of us and messes with me, Aiko, and Mai's beasts. Then he started going on about us being his brides? He was going to force me to be a queen for him. Like, come on Akeno, I know you're not this fucking stupid to ignore every nonconsensual thing he's done and how much a creep this motherfu-"
Smack!
Suri blinked as heat filled her cheek and her skin radiated with the sharp pain that came with the slap that the lioness had delivered. When Suri retrained her eyes, she found Akeno breathing rapidly, seething with rage, but her eyes were distraught, filled with sadness and pain, and she had tears pouring down her own cheeks. Her breath was shaky as her chest rose and fell rapidly from the rush of emotions that filled her as she went from staring angrily at Suri and then panicking over the fact that she'd just slapped Suri. For the group, it was painful to watch, even for all of the lions because there might as well have been a billboard over the lioness' head that clearly spelled out her feelings just now.
"Oh, girl, I am so sorry," Mina said after a long moment of complete and utter silence while Akeno tried desperately to put her emotions back into a cage.
That task was a lost cause as Akeno broke down, sobbing and wailing as she fell forward and crashed down onto De'Jon. Her hands clutched and crumpled at his shirt as she held it and cried into his chest. The other lions looked away sadly and sighed because they'd seen the breakdown coming from miles away and couldn't have done anything to stop it. The same unsure emotions filled the faces of the vampires in the room as well which made it clear the only one who hadn't seen Akeno's feelings for De'Jon was the dumbass vampire himself. Suri and the others looked back and forth between each other awkwardly, unsure of what to do in the situation at hand.
"A-Akeno," Izuku said gently, focusing his eyes on the lioness and vampire. Not getting much of an answer he focused on the snake wrapped around De'Jon and then turned to look up at Ryuko. Her breathing was a little heavy and he could tell she was straining to keep the serpent's hold on the vampire secure. Which had been saying something since Suri's power had just revitalized them all. "H-Hey Ryuko, you can let him go now. That's probably taken a lot out of you, right?"
Ryuko nodded and looked then back and forth between Izuku and Suri who nodded in agreement before she took in a deep breath, said something under her breath and then swept her hand like she was flicking water off of it. The motion made the snake collapse into a line of glowing water that quickly floated back into Ryuko's flask, filling it before the cap twisted closed by itself. Ryuko grunted and fell to one knee once the water was back inside before catching her breath and mouthing a thank you towards Izuku and Suri.
"Akeno, um, have you," Izuku started nervously, watching the pair in front of him before turning and looking into Suri's eyes and then into Mina and Tooru's. He then turned back towards Akeno and narrowed his eyes and spoke with confidence. "Have you asked him if he'd take you?"
The lions standing over Akeno rolled their eyes and looked at the greenette sympathetically as they shook their heads. It had been an obvious answer to say the least.
"No," she choked out. "Of course not!"
"Why?"
"Because it's not my place!"
"Why?"
"Because I'm not powerful enough!"
"Bullshit," Suri interjected. "You're just as, if not more, powerful than I am."
"Lies!"
"You… You just saw the difference in your power," Aiko snorted, waving her hand between Akeno and Suri. She then squeaked and looked away from Suri shyly. "No offense."
"None taken, hun," Suri shrugged. "But she's right. Knowing that you can call flesh and I can't, how your power mixed with his perfectly just now even though he's out cold, how could you possibly say that you're not good enough?"
"Akeno, has he ever used his fantasies on you?" Tooru interjected then, cutting off all conversation and turning a pointed question right on the lioness' head.
"Pfft, of course! I would never not allow his power inside me," Akeno blurted out defensively. The double entendre she'd apparently missed made nearly everyone snicker or smirk with glee from the direction all of their brains had gone in unison.
"Okay, so what happens in them?" Tooru asked again.
"I dream of my master, of course," she scoffed in disgust and then brazenly declared her desires to the entire world. "In them, I am his queen, by his side in everything he does and mother to his precious offspring!"
As soon as the words left her mouth, her eyes went wide and her hands shot up to cover her mouth. It made everyone around her begin to grin and chuckle from not only her words but then her trying to take back everything she'd just said.
"Then, by all means, fuckin do it," Suri rolled her eyes and shook her head. "If you want him that badly, then you've got to get a hold of him because tonight and meeting this kiss y'all belong to has been an absolute nightmare. One that I want nothing to do with."
"But-"
"But nothing!" Mina interjected with an apologetic grin. "Like. Okay. Suri, what were your fantasies about? Both between De'Jon and his dad."
"Izuku."
The greenette spat and turned his head to Suri rapidly as he looked at her with wide, shocked eyes and a look that was clearly flabbergasted. Suri simply smirked, not quite meeting his eyes but clearly telling him that, yes, in fact, he did hear her correctly.
"Him?" Akeno scoffed and then grinned deviously, like she was so sure of something. "And what about the beast prison he uses to punish us? Is he not the perfect dungeon master?"
"Yeah, Izuku is," Suri stated simply, her smile growing wider. "Right, girls?"
That made Akeno and Izuku's shock grow to the point of nearly bursting at the seams. Akeno's did when she caught the massive blush that covered Aiko's face while the leopard girl tried to say nothing at all and the large, wry grin that Mai wore, unabashed by what had occurred. Izuku had traced Akeno's attention and stared up at both Aiko and Mai in disbelief mostly because it had never once crossed his mind that the two of them felt any way about him at all.
Akeno made a noise and then screamed as her reality came crashing down and she realized that not everyone was as smitten with De'Jon as she clearly was. It also made her more angry and frustrated that, if she was the only one who thought of him, why didn't he feel the same? Because he clearly should feel the same way, right?
Now that she thought about it; what did De'Jon want?
He desired someone strong, with vast amounts of power and potential of power, which Akeno had plenty of. Someone that would be his queen, which Akeno was and wanted to be so badly. Someone that was submissive to him and would follow him to hell and back, which Akeno clearly was. And his most important goal, someone who would bear strong offspring so that he and his kin would survive the coming apocalypse and outlast humans long after they were dead and gone. Something, Akeno was sure that she could most certainly do. Her mind filled with anger, not because Suri hadn't chosen De'Jon but because De'Jon hadn't chosen her! She had been jealous of others he'd tried to seduce before, especially after sharing a bed with him.
Now she was furious at him.
He needed to see that it should have been her all along. That she was who he had needed all along. And now? Now he'd left her no choice but giving him no way to escape her, who had been his perfect mate standing in front of him the entire time.
"What is all of this ruckus? Akeno?" De'Jon spoke, finally stirring. His mind and eyes were still swimming in his daze but he could clearly make out the lioness above him. "Is Suri-"
"Shut your goddamn mouth," Akeno hissed, clutching at De'Jon tightly and turning her sights downward onto him.
"Akeno that is… Akeno?" De'Jon's confidence never had a chance to flourish because every ounce of it fled his body as he looked up into Akeno's eyes which were now pure black with a tiny ring of mint green in the middle of them.
"Who is your queen?" Akeno growled low, dipping her face towards his and scaring the shit out of him because she was able to stare directly into his eyes. That fact shocked Suri because it meant that the lioness had been powerful enough to get out of his vampire mind tricks from the get go. She'd just wanted them and had given in before.
Again, she had been holding back for no fucking reason at all.
"What is the meaning of this?" the vampire tried to kindle a bit of his arrogant fire back into his voice as he glared upwards at the lioness.
"We're done here, right?" Suri asked, smirking as she watched the exchange between the lioness and the vampire held underneath her.
"No-"
"Yes," Akeno interrupted De'Jon, grabbing his mouth and chin with one hand before moving to stand and holding him by the jaw while he flailed and tried to catch any sort of footing. "We are and I do hope you accept my apology. My master tends to get ahead of himself and forgets his place here at home. I will do my best in… rehabilitating this imbecile. My imbecile."
De'Jon screamed as the lioness began dragging him off behind her, literally kicking and screaming, out the door and down the hall. Suri remembered that Akeno had led her to this room down that hallway from De'Jon's bedroom and she couldn't help but begin to chuckle. It also didn't help the vampire's situation as the werelions and vampires all began snickering and chuckling as well.
And then Ryuko broke the room.
"Twenty five hundred yen, she's gonna peg him."
Everyone, even the werelions and vampires, laughed for a long moment that helped clear any of the tension that was left in the room. Both groups of vampires and werelions turned to leave the room in time to run into a man standing at the door looking everything over with an upturned eyebrow. He looked back and forth between the vampires and werelions and then to the group beyond including Suri. Then he noticed the hole in the floor and couldn't help but begin to chuckle to himself and sigh with a long, sauve cajun drawl.
"Well I'll be damned. Trouble seems to follow you everywhere don't it, Wild Eyes?" Hellfire chuckled and then gave the snake girl next to her a smirk. "And lookie here, you go on leave for a couple weeks and you get yourself into trouble too, Vipress."
"You two should have called if you were in trouble," DreamWeaver said next, coming into the room right on Hellfire's heels. She shook her head and sighed as she looked at the room, the damage, and then the group including her protege.
"Sorry, I was gonna send a distress call but I didn't get a chance," Yumei apologized and gave the two heroes a weak smile.
"We got mind fucked, dragged here, and by the time I was able to break the spell for them, a fight was already on," Suri admitted quickly. "Listen, if there's any repercussions needed, I'll take full responsibility. Since this is sorta my mess anyway."
"Oh, no need," DreamWeaver chuckled and waved one of her hands. "We were confronting Master Yasuke tonight anyway when we responded to a call about explosions and destruction of property here."
"Yeah," Hellfire laughed then and shoved his hands into his pockets casually. "Apparently, Master Yasuke, Lady Oda, and the Golden Forest Pride haven't been very forthcoming with us and Lady Whiplash. She's not a very happy camper at the moment."
"Wait, Grandma's here?" Suri asked in awe, eyes going wide. Then the words that she wasn't a happy camper clicked and she let a shiver of fear run through her entire body. "Well, cool, we… should um totally get going right about now."
"Wait, why? Don't you want to go help her?" Izuku asked curiously.
All of the wereanimals began shaking their heads in unison, looking more than nervous about the implications that the Queen of Leopards was pissed right now. Mai and Aiko helped Mina and Tooru to their feet before quickly ushering them and Yumei towards the door. The snake girl quickly took the opportunity to hug both of her mentors, bid them farewell, and then squeaked as Aiko grabbed her hand and pulled her along faster. Pazuzu quickly took Ryuko by the hand and walked her right behind the group in front of them, quickly heading for the elevator. Finally, Suri did the same, grabbing Izuku's hand and quickly dragging him behind her.
"You guys sure you want to hang around?" Suri asked, making a quick stop next to her mentors who both shrugged and nodded.
"We're on call with her so we're here if she needs backup and to clean up any stragglers," Hellfire chuckled. He had humor in his eyes seeing all of the werelions and vampires scrambling to the stairs, shouting something about getting into the bunker as fast as they could.
"Though, I don't suspect there will be many," DreamWeaver shrugged.
"Well, if we don't see you again tonight," Suri smiled and quickly stepped into the two heroes hugging both of them tightly. "It was great seeing you two. Send Alexie and Masato my love."
"We we will, darlin," Hellfire drawled and tipped his big hat, giving Suri and Izuku a wink. "Now run along, don't wanna keep your friends waiting."
"Yeah yeah you got it, Aly" Suri grinned wide and faux saluted the hellspawn before turning and bowing her head towards the spider woman next to him. "Jomo. I'll see you two around."
With that, Suri quickly led Izuku to the elevator, squeezed the two of them with their group and then watched the doors close. It was a relatively quick ride down before the wereanimals ushered their friends out the front doors of the building and into the large plaza in front of it. Already there were four other individuals waiting and sitting on the edge of the massive fountain in the middle of the plaza. Everyone's brows shot upwards in confusion as they all came face to face but once Suri remembered the reports of explosions, it now made sense why Bakugou was here. And still sort of surprising was the fact that he was by Yukari's side who huffed and rolled her eyes at the company now joining them.
"What the hell are you doing here, Deku?" Bakugou scoffed before eyeing Suri next. "Don't tell me you and Mohawk got kidnapped. Buncha idiots you-"
"Oh please, you got mind fucked too, didn't you?" Suri rolled her eyes, folding her arms as she smirked at the explosion user.
"At least we put up a fight," Yukari rolled her eyes, staring at the other hybrid and trying her best to be just as cocky as her boyfriend.
"Ooo! So she's the other mixed lycanthrope? How interesting! She's cute! I- Pretty! Super duper pretty!" said one of the figures standing beside Yukari and Bakugou. She was tall, well over six feet, and incredibly curvy, so much so that the pink dress did a really terrible job at keeping her enormous chest, wide hips, and thick thighs in check. All of those curves bounced like a bundle of water balloons as she wrapped Yumei and Mina into her arms and squeezed them like they were stuffed animals. "You're so pretty! And you're so pink! Oh my gosh you two are so super duper adorable!"
Suri stared in dumbfounded disbelief as she watched the bubbly amazon of a girl pick up both girls, which was not an easy feat in Yumei's case, and held them like toys. The girls in question looked around for help, unsure what was happening or what to do but let the girl hug them to death. Though there were worse fates than death by snu snu.
"Mimi, please put them down," Yukari sighed with exasperation as she held her forehead in her hand. It was a rare look at the smaller lycanthrope queen showing any emotion other than pride or anger. It was a look of embarrassment but there was also a hint of something that said that this Mimi girl was a total ditzy dumbass but she was Yukari's ditzy dumbass.
"Oh! Yes, Mistress," she squeaked and then carefully put Mina and Yumei down before bowing over and over in an apologetic fashion. "Sorry. I just see cute things and I sorta can't resist."
"And how you did that to the oaf is still beyond me," the next figure said, pushing up his glasses and staring at everyone with a stoic look of either disgust or uninterest. He himself was dressed in a pair of clean cut black slacks, a white button down shirt with the sleeves rolled to his elbows, and a black vest over top of it. He was long and lanky like Pazuzu but even more pale so his baby blue eyes looked white inside of his black sclera. He wore the same glasses as Iida which made him look like he was the speedster's skinnier long lost brother that got left, by accident, in a Hot Topic store. Instead of stiff and robotic, he was stiff and melodramatic. "Do try to contain yourself, Fujioka."
"Oh! Right, sorry, Hachimura," the tall girl sighed and apologized. She then had an epiphany of sorts and turned back towards the goth boy and furrowed her brow at him. "Hey! Don't tell me what to do, I outrank you, meanie head."
"She's lucky I didn't blast her face off," Bakugou growled under his breath, not meeting the amazon girl's eyes, then turned to Hachimura and snarled at him at full volume. "And you're lucky I haven't killed you yet!"
"Please do try," Hachimura smirked.
"Mako, Katsuki," Yukari snarled, peering at both boys with pure unadulterated rage in her eyes while balling her fists tight against her hips. The two of them took one look at her and looked away from each other, Bakugou huffing in disapproval and Hachimura pushing his glasses up again to hide his eyes. With both of them calmed down, she sighed again. "Good boys. And Mimi, please try to not be so scatterbrained for once, okay?"
"Yes, Mistress!" Mimi squeaked, stiffening her body and saluting the much shorter girl.
"Wow," Suri snorted. "And I thought my pack was dysfunctional."
"Fuck off, Kuroyashi," Yukari growled, eyeing Suri with frustration. "What're you all doing here anyway? And what's with Granny Kuroyashi?"
"So you guys didn't get kidnapped by vampires and werelions too? Lame, guess we're the only one who had such a damn good party," Suri replied sarcastically.
"Oh we so did!" Mimi replied excitedly. "We were following these two cause I wanted to see them being all cute and stuff together. Cause they totally are! Anyway, these vamps cornered them and they were all like - Hah! Wah! Wacha! And Bakugou was all like - Boom! Die! Bang! I'll kill you all! Hah! Don't touch my girl! And then we got caught and it was scary cause we didn't know where we were and then Bakugou went - Bang! Bang! Boom! And Mistress was all - Rawr! Die! Puta pendejo! And I got to grab some vampires and lions and I threw them out a window! But not before I crushed them with my bare hands."
As Mimi spoke, she punched the air and exaggerated every one of her motions as she put on her best impressions of Katsuki and Yukari in her very animated retelling of the night's events. Her squeaky, alto voice was as sweet as a mountain of sugar and matched her attitude which reminded Suri a lot of Nejire's but possibly even more hair brained. The entire time, Bakugou's eye was twitching as he grumbled and groaned from listening to and watching her in her act, especially when she was pretending to be him. He really wanted to blast her and get her to shut up. Yukari was cringing and practically mortified from the retelling of the night but in the end, her cringing turned to a weak smile as she watched Mimi become sinister in her own way as her voice quieted in her telling of her own actions.
Suri just nodded and let her mouth hang agape as she listened to the tall beast girl talk and recount their evening. The small fact that she sounded proud and adorably happy as she mentioned she crushed people with her bare hands made warning flags go off in her mind. Yes, this girl was ditzy and probably had two brain cells in all, possibly did her homework in crayons, and was sure to have more pink and plush outfits in her closet than Tooru ever dreamed of. Yes, she was tall and probably had the grace and coordination of a rhinoceros but that's what made her terrifying. Because as cute and bubbly as she came off to be, Suri's hair on the back of her neck as her nose caught the girl's scent and a flicker of her lycanthropic power.
"Eh, well, I guess introductions are in order," Yukari sighed and shrugged her shoulders. "Suri, this is Mimi Fujioka and Mako Hachimura. My enforcers and the Betas to my Lupra."
"Pleasure," Suri smiled and nodded her head to the two of them with Mimi happily bowing while Mako gave the smallest of nods humanly possible before going back to reading his book. "As for my pack, this is Pazuzu, my second in command, Aiko Nishijima, my third in command, and Mai… We haven't decided on a rank for you yet, have we?"
The werewolf in question shook her head and then shrugged with a small smile. It was clear she didn't really care for titles or ranks at all and was more or less just happy to be there and included. That realization made her realize that she really needed to get to know her pack mates better, because she really didn't know that much about Mai at all. That was the point of the date in the first place and then it had ended up like this. It made Suri feel bad about the date because it was yet another one that had been interrupted by such trivial bullshit.
"Actually, I really need real titles for you two as well," Suri said, turning to Pazuzu and Aiko. "Gotta make it official, ya know?"
"In that case, I'll just be Husband 2," Pazuzu grinned wide, posing a little with his arms folded across his chest and looked a little proud of himself for claiming a made up title.
"I call dibs on Wife 3," Aiko blurted out, caught what she'd said in the moment and then slapped her hands over her mouth and screamed into them. What came next was her turning on her heels, squatting down and then going into a muttering fest that was eerily similar to Izuku's own muttering fests but instead of heroes it was the implications of being a housewife.
"You're an ass," Suri snickered and shook her head at Pazuzu, sighed and shook her head with a grin as she watched Aiko and then rolled her eyes as she tried to get back to business and continue with introductions. She then presented Ryuko next, followed by Yumei. "This is Ryuko Takemura, the head of my coven, and finally Yumei Nagamaki, one of my partners at the Outsiders Agency and UA hopeful."
"Tch, you left off villain," Bakugou scoffed and rolled his eyes.
"Former," Yumei hissed, surprising everyone that she didn't back down from what Bakugou had said and how he'd said it. "My record's clean now. I've done my work, got my life back on track, and I've got the blessing of pro heroe's, UA staff, and my friends."
The more she said, the closer she slowly slithered towards Bakugou, fists balled and leaning down so that she could look him right in the eye. It was a mistake on both of their parts because they'd both forgotten, in that moment, that Yumei could put people into trances if they stared into her eyes for too long. It wasn't strong like a vampire gaze but was enough to make the explosion user make a slip of the tongue.
"No wonder Shitty Hair likes you."
"..."
"..."
"W-What?"
"Huh… Hey! What the hell did you do to me, Scales?!"
"N-Nothing! I swear!"
"I'll kill you!"
Before Katsuki could do anything else, a loud scream ripped through the night air from the skyscraper behind them. It was that of a leopard scream that was deafening and had all of them grabbing at their ears tightly to shield from the intrusive noise and they turned to watch where the sound had come from. Starting at the top level of the vampire hideout, the windows began blowing outward in showers of glass and debris, rapidly running down the building until the wave of destruction hit the bottom floor. It was like a chain of explosions had shot downward through the building before a mushroom cloud plumed outward from the ground floor of the building leaving it with a low lying cloud of dust surrounding it. All of the lights in the building went dark, leaving it illuminated in nothing but moonlight.
Suri and the others turned and readied themselves for another fight as she and the other wereanimals felt a wave of power radiating outward coming through the front doors. Power that felt like it had the weight of the moon itself coming their way. It felt vaguely familiar to Suri but she wasn't sure who was coming due to all of the dust and the scent of ruble clouding her senses. There was a halo of blue fire coming from someone's eyes as they walked forward slowly through the cloud of dust towards the teens, making them all tense and nervous at the unknown assailant. It occurred to Suri that it could be a number of people, werelions or vampires that they weren't aware of, another villain, anyone. And then a familiar old lady calmly stepped through the dust, closing her eyes to hide the icy blue fire and give everyone a warm caring smile. The smile did well to hide the rage inside her and was a perfect distraction to the otherwise massive amounts of pure unadulterated and unfiltered lycanthropic energy flowing around her.
"G-Grandma?" Suri spoke cautiously as she finally saw the old woman, her mouth hanging agape before letting a small smile cross her lips.
"Ah! Good evening, my dear. I take it you kids are safe then and the Outsiders were able to escort you out here?" she asked warmly as her power was shelved and gave the hair on the back of everyone's neck a rest.
"Yeah, for the most part," Mina answered, taking one for the team and being the first to really speak for the group.
"Good. I will have Ryo pull around and he can take you kids back to UA," she nodded, grinning wide as she let her hands come to rest behind her back. The action was both her resting and calming to calm down and hiding the fact her hands were still in beast form. "Yukari, my dear, shall I call your parents to take you and your friends home?"
"No, ma'am," Yukari answered, shaking her head. "I had been planning on staying at UA tonight, had it cleared with the teachers and all. My friends-"
"Are going to crash on the couches at the dorms," Katsuki answered, surprising everyone with the mere hint of generosity.
It left everyone in stunned silence for a long moment before Izuku spoke up nervously, looking back at the cloud of debris finally coming to rest. His eyes focused solely on where the front door used to be and the piles of glass and steel surround the base of the building now,
"H-Hey, Lady Whiplash," he asked, swallowing hard.
"Oh, please, my dear, you know you're more than welcome to call me by name. I may be in uniform at the moment but I don't think we need to be so formal, right my boy?" she asked in a sweet, grandmotherly voice. It occurred to Suri that she was basically just that to him now.
"Oh! Right," he chuckled nervously, scratching the back of his head and taking a deep breath. "Can I ask… what happened in there?"
"Oh?" Grandma Kuroyashi tilted her head and then turned around to see the wake of destruction she'd apparently left behind. She turned back with the same warm smile but it held not as much love and care behind it as it did pride and righteous fury. "Oh that."
There was another long pause and the teens got to listen to the old woman giggle happily. Like she'd gotten a good grade or, in fact, had just beaten one of the four vampire kings of Japan.
"I think Master Yasuke and I now see eye to eye on a lot of things, he just needed a good… talk... He and his family shouldn't be too much trouble for you in the future, my dears."
And with that, everyone shivered and swallowed a painful lump of fear in their throats. They had just now been front row to a fraction of the old woman's power and by the gods was it scary. All of that power that rivaled a full powered All Might in his prime packed into the frame of a kind, caring old woman with an unhealthy obsession with lemongrass tea and cheesy soap operas.
Yeah.
Pretty fucking scary.
