Suri finally achieves partial transformation but find it hard to be happy about it. The fight between Suri and JJ is on. Who comes out on top?

Suri should have been ecstatic right now.

She should have been able to take the time to marvel over the feat she'd finally been able to achieve. Something she'd been trying to learn how to do for almost three years now. Something both of her older brothers, her dad, her mom Eve, and Grandma Kuroyashi could all do. Hell, even Pazuzu and that bitch Akeno could do it.

Right now she should have been marveling over the fact that she'd accomplished partial transformation, shifting only her left arm and hand to beast form. Without even a pop in power to boot! No pop of energy to boost the outcome, just the flawless flow from a human arm to one covered in fur and thicker muscle and claws.

All of those things that she could have, and should have, been doing. Instead she was clutching Taiga, her friend and one of the witches of her coven, and holding off an attack from someone she thought she'd never see again.

"Huh. Funny finding you here," he said with that ever so slight southern accent, staring down at her with interest. His crimson eyes watched her like she'd done something fascinating.

In truth, she had. Partial transformations were a bloodline trait but not everyone in the bloodline had it or would ever achieve it. It was one of those abilities that signified that you were either really powerful or had the potential to become super powerful. Suri had always hoped that by developing the ability young like her brothers, she'd be on a fast track to leadership.

Go figure that after three years of training, trying and failing a million times, the one time she never thought to try it, it happened.

"Yeah. Good to see you too… JJ," Suri responded in kind. Part of her wanted to ask him what he was doing here but the fact that he was here now… It felt redundant. Still, a girl could hope for a different answer than what her gut was screaming at her. "What are you doing here?"

"Loose ends," he smirked.

It was one of those smooth roguish curls of the lips that usually came with a tip of the hat. And she'd seen him in a hat. In fact, she'd got him a black cowboy hat when they'd first started dating and he practically wore it daily. Hell, the last time she'd seen him in that hat… well it was the only thing he'd been wearing. Luckily Atiena was there to bat away any lingering thoughts about an ex boyfriend and lover, especially with him in this predicament. Atiena wrapped herself around Suri in their mind, letting the energy roll with a concussive wave of power. One second it was Suri there with one her arm in beast form, the next her and Atiena were one taking her advanced beastwoman form. Now her entire body was covered in a light coat of fur, her human features minimized as her bestial features took the forefront and around her was a warm heat of electric wind coursing around her. For Taiga, it was calm and felt like a summer breeze with the added bonus of reinvigorating her and boosting her vitals. She felt like she could run in the wild for days and be at absolute peace with it. For JJ, the energy burned and whipped at him, testing to see what his true intentions were.

"What kind of loose ends are we talking about?" Suri asked, narrowing her eyes at the young man across from her. She used to love seeing that cocky smile of his, but seeing it now as he tested her power, it was haunting.

"The tiger kind," he chuckled and rolled his eyes to look up from where he touched the electric wind of Suri's energy to her and then to Taiga.

In a split second, he was gone, leaving a crackling of crimson lightning from where he was standing to a spot past Suri. When she blinked, she realized she felt lighter and found the reason why. Taiga was gone. Suri heard a choking sound and turned on her heels to find Taiga on the ground with JJ's hand at her throat, squeezing tightly as he watched her struggle. The hand around Taiga's neck was transformed, a thick beastly wolven arm with silver and charcoal colored fur from the elbow down. Rage boiled inside of Suri and with a pop of fiery energy she left a shimmering after image in her place followed by a streak of golden green fire as she spanned that distance from her to him in less than a second.

She'd wound up in that moment where time blurred, and drove a strong kick aimed at JJ's head, one that would knock his block off. Instead she got caught, his free hand now taking a beast form as well, and he held her still above him and the weretiger beneath him. When his hand around Taiga's neck tightened, making the girl gasp for air, Suri growled and leaped upwards, bringing her left leg up and drop kicked his shoulder. The force of the kick was enough to rip him off of Taiga, releasing both her and Suri as he skidded and rolled against the floor. Suri didn't spare the time to watch him as he was kicked away and instead checked on the other girl.

"Taiga, you okay?" Suri asked, her eyes focusing on the small puncture wounds on the side of the girl's neck. They were just beginning to be beaded with blood.

"I'll be fine," Taiga nodded, hissing as she reached up to touch the marks on her neck and then looked up to Suri.

"Will you now," JJ spoke, letting a full southern drawl come out as he stood up and rolled his neck with a wide grin. It was a sign he was ready to fight.

JJ chewed on his bottom lip as he watched the two girls, more than happy to let them drink the sight of him in. Suri had always known that he was secure in himself and knew how attractive he was. It was one of the bragging rights she'd had back home before the night with Hyrum ever happened. The girls around her were jealous of Suri and she loved the attention. But how could you not bag a guy like JJ if you had the chance?

He was tall, easily six feet, even when his cowboy boots or leather boots didn't give him the extra inch or two. Tonight, he was in his leather work boots that were mostly tan except for the black soles and a pair of dark Wrangler jeans that had patches of light fraying on the knees and thighs. They were tight but not in the way skinny jeans were, these were slim jeans made tight by the muscle definition in his calves and thighs underneath. He'd bulked up from the last time Suri had seen him, made all the more abundantly clear in the way that the crimson red button up shirt hugged his chest and biceps. The crimson button up, that had the sleeves rolled to his elbows, matched his eyes which were a bright crimson with almond shaped pupils in them. The shape of his pupils and the tapering of his ears meant that he'd spent a little too long in wolf form and sacrificed part of his humanity like Suri had.

His eyes also reminded Suri of Bakugou and she just realized why she'd felt guarded or reserved around the explosion user at first. Their eyes, the way they had a similar jawline, one that was strong, defined, and overtly attractive, the same attractive cocky smirk. But where Bakugou had spiked ash blonde hair, JJ's was wavy with thick strands of crimson, black, and golden brown that begged to have fingers run through it. Normally he wore it off to the side in a kind of pompadour fashion, tonight it was slicked backwards. Bakugou had model looks because his mom was a supermodel, JJ on the other hand was a model himself. He looked like he stepped right out of a Wrangler jeans catalog cover and into this room.

There was a reason Suri had fallen for him two years ago; he was fucking hot. Even back then.

Now… his model looks couldn't hide the way he was looking at Suri and Taiga. Like they were both lost property that he'd come to claim.

"You can still walk away from this, JJ," Suri leveled with him, hoping for that ever so tiny chance she wouldn't have to fight her old flame.

"C'mon baby, you know I can't," he chuckled in response and licked his lips. "Remember? When you have a dream, you gotta buck up and do the damn thing?"

JJ ducked then, letting a pop of power expand outward as he sank to the floor into a crouched, pouncing position before his image began to shimmer. When Suri blinked he was right in her face, his fingers splayed over it as he grabbed her and threw her down. There was a split second of weightlessness as Suri was sent backwards, her legs buckling from beneath her just as her back and the back of her head slammed into the floor below. He had one hand on Suri and the other was going for Taiga. In that moment or realization, Suri rolled her hips upward, launching herself into a backwards somersault that rolled her out from under him and let her grab his arm on her face with both hands. When her feet hit the ground, she dug in, putting all of her strength into her thighs and core as she twisted and took him with her. The motion pulled him back, jerking him by the arm as he went around Suri horizontally in one spin and then over her shoulders in the second as she violently shoulder tossed him to the ground.

The impact let the werewolf hit hard enough that he bounced off the ground for a few milliseconds. It was enough time for Suri to spin again, going from a standing position to twisting onto her knees as she wound up for a second strike. She hit his side with a palm strike that packed an extra punch. As she had been moving from the shoulder toss, her and Atiena began drawing their combined power into her palm, so much so that streaks of green flame trailed from her fingertips before it was pulsed into JJ with a concussive blast of lycanthropic energy. It sent him skidding across the ground again, rolling and tumbling away from the girls.

Then he began laughing.

Suri took in a deep breath and then let it out slowly as she watched JJ get up. His movements were like her hits hadn't even phased him, he simply stood up, patted his jeans off and straightened out his shirt. As he rolled his neck with a few audible pops being made from the stretching motion he let his eyes sink onto Suri once again. The smile was similar to the ones he'd shared with her at the dozens of Lupanars they'd shared growing up. It was the smile that said he welcomed the fight, was excited about it, but this time it didn't show any signs that he thought about losing to Suri. No. Tonight it held more of a sadistic nature to it.

JJ looked like him.

"What's wrong, baby? Looks like you just saw a ghost or somethin'," his grin only grew wider. "And don't tell me this is all you're givin' me cause that would be a damn shame after all this time. Guess I need to step things up a bit so you'll take me seriously."

"Vashra; Third Form!"

Suri's vision blinked and flicked in and out. One second she was standing next to Taiga staring JJ down a few meters away. The next she was crouched down, the feeling of Taiga's hand on the back of her neck keeping her from going to the ground completely, looking up she saw the translucent golden dome above her ripple from impact and then begin to crack. The impact was from a fully formed beast arm connected to a fully shifted werewolf above them, fur so dark it looked black though Suri knew that truthfully, the red of his fur was just that dark.

There hadn't even been a flux in power or a change in the weight of the air in the room. He'd shifted into full beast mode in less than a second. Suri had the time to contemplate that display of power because a rush of torrential wind hit Taiga's magic dome, shattering it completely and sending both of them backwards like they'd been blown away by a tornado.

"C'mon, baby, where's all this power I've been hearing about," JJ spoke, his voice filled with a rasp and growl that came from speaking in full werewolf form. "The power that you had that night. The power that beat one of the Nomu freaks. The power that took Gemini for a nice lil' dance. The power that scared the vampires here."

"Glad to know you followed my career so far," Suri breathed out, rolling her eyes up to look at him as he slowly stalked forward. She then tried to call his bluff in power, something she didn't know if it was the smartest plan, but she was trying to buy time. If King Saber fell, then JJ would be a walk in the park, there was no chance he'd take on Alpha and her together, right? "I don't remember needing all that much power to kick your ass back home."

JJ paused, narrowed his eyes at Suri and then began to grin even wider.

He'd called her bluff.

"So I was right, you're just keeping me busy. Is that all?" JJ chuckled, as he clicked his tongue and shook his head. "Damn, baby, I thought you were smarter than that."

There was a sickening chuckle that left his throat as he came to Taiga and let his fist punch on her land. The sound of her gasping and flinching in pain made Suri's gut begin to wrench. Then came the second and Suri couldn't stop the tears from rolling down her cheeks. The third, she flinched, watching Taiga's face become a mask of red, bleeding from lacerations from her lips, brow, and nose. Suri was caught between trying to pull herself up and get the courage to tear into JJ before he hurt Taiga even more and the girlish crush she still had for the guy. Why was she still having a sense of longing for him when he was beating the shit out of her friend?

The dread in Suri's gut clenched as she looked up at him. She'd made a gamble and it had been the wrong one. She'd gotten too cocky for her own good in that split second because she thought she knew him. Hell she knew she knew him. She'd grown up with him from the time his family came to the pack. She knew JJ like the back of her hand, had him burned and engraved into her memory. His voice, his laugh, the way he looked at her. The way he tasted, his scent. How he felt…

Suri knew Jesse Jameson Blackhurst, the outgoing werewolf with a spice of Texas drawl and southern charm. The guy that Suri had found gorgeous from the first time she'd seen him. The guy that her mind had memorized every inch and curve of, the subtle freckles across his cheeks. The way he felt when he kissed her. Of course because he'd been her first kiss. Hell he'd been her first for everything.

JJ was her first.

Her mind raced because she thought she knew JJ. She thought she knew him better than herself and it was only the image of him standing over Taiga in the same way Hyrum stood over Mathias over a year ago that made her move. Truly move.

In a flash of speed and power, Suri and Atiena became one in truth as fur and muscle flowed, pushing her back into her advanced beastwoman form. There wasn't a large pop of energy and power but a wind of heat and sparks of green gold fire danced around her as she shot from one point to another.

This time she didn't zig zag through a crowd.

This time she wasn't scared.

This time she would not kill.

This time she pulled JJ off of Taiga, letting him float for a split second above her before receiving a hard fist to his gut that sent him into the ceiling. Then came the strong roundhouse kick that connected with him as he began to fall to the floor and delayed that meeting. Instead of hitting the ground once, he hit several times before rolling end over end and ending up halfway through a wall. He growled but began to laugh as he slowly pulled himself out of the hole his upper body had made and gave Suri an amused grin.

"Taiga, run. Get back to headquarters," Suri growled out beneath her breath as she stared the grinning werewolf down.

"That is something I cannot do, my queen," Taiga replied, still trying to be as elegant and posh as ever, despite how beaten she was.

"Then take it as an order from your queen." Suri growled again, her eyes flicking to the side to see the weretiger, now in beatwoman form, standing next to her.

"Lookit that," JJ laughed as he rolled his neck. There was a flash of crimson electricity before he seemed to vanish from the other side of the room to right in front of Suri. "Not much of a queen if you can't control this little bitch, can you?"

JJ was lunging for Taiga again, ignoring Suri on purpose. It might have just been a tactic to throw her off, but it backfired. JJ had forgotten one thing; Suri liked to fight harder, the more pissed off she was. So when JJ went to grab Taiga by the face with his clawed hand, he found that hand pulled back over his shoulder, driving the crook of his elbow into his own throat. Suri had grabbed that hand, pulled it around her own shoulder and now had it being driven into the back of his shoulder blades. Her free hand went low, grabbing the seat of his jeans and lifting from there. With a rolling motion, she brought him off his feet, flipping him backwards onto his chest with Suri riding him down.

It was a hard impact that dented and cracked the flooring beneath them and left JJ choking because, when his elbow hit the floor, the crook of his elbow was strained around his neck. And with Suri's weight bearing down on his back, he was all but in a self induced sleeper hold.

He countered. Thanks to one shoulder being dipped to the ground because of the hold, it meant that he wasn't flat on the ground. He pushed off the ground, jolting Suri and getting her off of him enough that he could swing his legs back beneath him. As Suri stumbled to a crouched position beside him, he was in a crouched stance faster, pouncing at her. First came a hard right fist, jolting Suri's neck and hitting her with a spike of heat and pain. Then came the second blow, harder and more solid than a fist and Suri heard the crack inside her head. He'd kneed her in the face, the sound was from the cat-like bridge of her nose cracking. He hadn't broken her nose, but the blood that began pouring from her nostrils said he might as well have. She ignored the pain and the spray of blood though, which was really hard to do, and instead grabbed that knee and lifted.

Her muscles in her arms, back, and core rippled as she lifted JJ above her, with his legs almost straddling her shoulders. Her leg muscles rippled next as she stood, putting him at even more height above the ground. He knew the move she was going for and began struggling, he raised his fists to try and bash to top of Suri's skull but was met with resistance as his hands hit a plate of shimmering golden energy. Before he could contemplate hitting a small wall of magic, he began the hard ride down. Suri lifted again, digging her claws into JJ's thighs as she grabbed him and powerbombed him to the floor beneath them. He took the hit, coughing and growling as his back hit the floor hard enough that it bounced him. The second ride down was just as hard because Suri rode him down this time, pinning his shoulder down with one hand while she raised and readied a fist with the other while she dug one knee into his stomach.

"Stand down, JJ," Suri growled with a thick, beastly rasp.

"This shit really has gone to your head hasn't it," he chuckled, grinning from ear to ear like he didn't have an enraged lycanthrope queen sitting above him. "You're worse off than I am. You really think I'd submit to you?"

He had a point.

In that case.

Suri narrowed her eyes and let out a deep breath. She focused a deadly glare into JJ's eyes as her eyes came to life with golden green fire that flicked and poured from around her domino mask. The heat around her went from a comforting warmth to a scorching desert heat that pounded down on the man beneath her as the air pressure more than tripled. To add to the heat and suffocating weight of power came the flickering arcs of golden green fire and electricity that danced across Suri's fur and skin while whipping and lashing out at the werewolf. The longer she stood over him with wave after wave of power and lycanthropic energy, the more he began to choke, suffocate, and flinch from the burning whips that seared and stung him again and again. He growled and snarled up at Suri who simply gave him a look of pure disdain.

"Do you yield?"

Suri snarled at JJ, her lips quivering as a low rumbling growl filled her throat and she bore that threat of violence down on him. It was like staring up at an angry doberman that was growling at you for coming too close. JJ, instead, gritted his teeth into a grin, pushed himself upwards and got closer to Suri's face.

"Not a chance… Baby."

The way he said it flipped Suri, she went from angry to absolutely fuming. It had been grading on her that he kept calling her baby, like he still had that privilege. Who was he to think he could ghost her, work for the bad guy, and still call her baby of all things? With anger boiling up, Suri launched her raised fist, hitting him square across the nose to break it and jerk his head to the side. He grunted with the hit, hissed as pain shot through his face and neck and blood began to pour from his nostrils. When he smiled and began chuckling, Suri hit him again, burying her fist into his orbital, jerking his head to the side as she broke skin around his brow and left eye. Still he persisted, turning to look up at Suri with a grin, his face becoming a bloody mask as he stared up at her with glee.

"C'mon, baby, gimme the ol' Hyrum treatment. You know you wanna," he drawled and chuckled as the pain and blood filling one of his eyes seemed to make him more delusional.

"Shut up!" Suri roared, hitting JJ with another wave of force and energy that began to squeeze the air around him even tighter.

He laughed again.

He was starting to sound like her.

"Did ya ever ask yourself, why is he here but not the other two?"

"Stop provoking and just give up. She has you beaten," Taiga growled, carefully watching Suri's expression which seemed to flicker at his words.

"Cause, surprise, baby, we were all here," JJ grinned, wiggling his eyebrows up at Suri.

"Stop talking, JJ," Suri growled, low and under her breath. She hit him with a third or was it a fourth Wave of Dominance. She'd lost count.

"Even after we showed them the truth, Robbie still wanted to be by your side, still trusted you after everything. Man, she was always the ditzy bitch, wasn't she?" JJ kept going, kept provoking, grunting and hissing as the Wave of Dominance squeezed around him tighter. He wanted a reaction and Suri knew it, but she wasn't going to give him what he wanted. "Oh well, guess you'll see the two of them soon enough. That beach you like going to with all your sluts and whores would be a nice spot right?"

Suri flinched at that.

"You know, where you first met him?" JJ practically purred with that line. He made sure to get every threat and intention across. He'd never been one for subtlety or innuendos, he wasn't poetic like that.

It meant JJ had been there.

The flinching also meant that Suri's grip had loosened and, with a roar, he powered through her as he jerked his hips upward with enough force that he flipped her. She rolled end over end, hitting her back against the floor from the flip, which shocked her out of her daze enough to get her to react. Suri rolled, going to all fours in an animalistic pose in the same manner that JJ did. They stared each other down for a few seconds, seeing who would be the first to make a move and it was Suri. She launched herself at him, keeping herself low to the ground to avoid the first swing of claws as she rammed her shoulder into his chest.

Suri grabbed JJ after plowing into his chest, lifting him off the ground as she then rammed him into one of the observation deck's support columns. It buckled as she drove him into it, leaving him coughing for air. When she backed off enough to wind up for another attack, it gave him the opening he needed. He kicked Suri. Hard. His left foot drove into her stomach, doubling her over as air and bile both threatened to escape her before that escape route was closed off by his hand wrapping around her throat. A tight squeeze and the pinching of his claws into her neck meant that he was drawing blood and was threatening to rip her throat out, if the feeling of wet warmth was anything to go by.

Instead of ripping her throat out however, JJ did the next best thing; he lifted her by the neck and swung her around. She felt her feet leave the ground and felt a massive amount of force being applied to her neck before she was weightless for a split second. The weightlessness only lasted for a second but she was reliving the first fight with Gemini once again, remembering the time she'd thrown her. Now, instead of trees, she went through what remained of that steel and concrete support, ripping the remains of it from the floor and ceiling as she tumbled and rolled like a ragdoll away from JJ.

"Gods, you are so easy," JJ snorted, shaking his head with a grin.

"You shut your mouth," Taiga screamed at him, rushing the werewolf from behind.

Suri's eyes widened in horror as she watched. One second, Taiga was rushing him, the next, she was flying, having been hit by another swift roundhouse kick to the side of her head. JJ had looked like he'd barely moved when he heard her coming which meant his speed was still just as fast, if not faster than Suri. She watched as her friend left the ground for some painstakingly long seconds before she hit the ground, rolling and flipping across it before she finally came to a stop all the way on the other side of the room.

Suri could only scream.

She screamed Taiga's name in a voice that was strained with horror, worry, and pain. Her body moved on its own in the next second, becoming a blur or green gold fire and lightning as she rushed JJ, hitting him with a hard right hook, speeding past him only to stop, twist, and launch herself at him another time, hitting his back right shoulder blade with an elbow check. She would hit a point, twist again, and launch herself back at him, hitting him with another strike and then repeating the process.

Suri ran as fast as she could, hitting JJ again and again in hard blows that sent him rocking and teetering back and forth. This time she wasn't holding back, she stopped treating him like the lover that a piece of her still yearned for. There was no reason for that piece to still exist. Not when she thought back and realized that she didn't really know JJ at all. Not when she remembered herself saying that even at their happiest, her relationship with JJ, Lin, and Rob couldn't compare to what she had now. JJ may have been her first for everything, but he hadn't been the first to show her what true happiness and friendship looked like. He didn't show her what love truly was.

"Yeah, I'm easy," Suri growled, pulling her escrima sticks from their holsters as she ran, circling JJ. "Fine, I'll admit that much. But if I'm so easy to read, then you should've figured out that that would be your downfall."

As she spoke, Suri seemed to be standing still in front of JJ, then another of her popped up, then another, and another, until JJ was staring at a swarm of Suri clones. There were at least twelve that he could see and he growled at one of them, only to get him from behind, then in front. He wasn't able to see where Suri was crossing, instead, all he saw was a glowing circle surrounding him that seemed to be spinning. When he looked down he saw lines of green gold fire and energy taking the shape of a pentagram that was spinning with him in the center of it.

He knew this trick. He'd heard about it, seen it.

JJ grinned and growled again, giving Suri a sinister glare. She was too easy. This trick had already been done before, he knew how to counter this so-called Jury of Wolves. He swiped at random, knowing that was the easiest way to throw her off track and get her to spiral out of control. It was easy. Suri was…

Glowing!

JJ's eyes widened in time to get rocked with a blow, one that was harder than before. It didn't come with the relief that the stinging of claws brought, this was blunt and hit with the force of a truck. Then a second blow came, this time to the back of his neck. He was rocking back and forth more violently than he was before, getting hit harder than he was before. And it didn't help that when he looked up, it wasn't only Suri staring back at him. Suri's eyes were glowing with a chartreuse neon light, not just fire pouring from her irises, her fur was glowing from the same color of energy and lightning surrounding her and sparking off of her body. Her fists were set ablaze with green gold fire and then, to top it all off, she had a glowing figure surrounding her that looked like a monster at her back. Suri and the glowing outline of the monster inside her lit up the room as a dozen of those glowing figures surrounded JJ. The hits were coming faster, leaving his ears ringing and filling with a high pitched whistling sound and the thunderous roar of blood pumping through his veins. His eyes began to burn with the struggle to keep them open, not only from how searing the brightness was but from the pain hitting him again and again.

The heat in the middle of the circle became sweltering as the air pressure around JJ became heavy. He was on fire. It wasn't just the burning that came with the pain of being hit, it was the heat from the fire burning inside of Suri. The power and energy radiating off of her felt like a giant bonfire that you were standing too close to and then multiplying that by twelve, because every single Suri in the circle carried that same weight and heat of pure power. The heat and power of the Suri he once knew was nothing compared to this and now he was paying for that choice to underestimate his old lover. JJ had the weight and power of not the moon, but the sun itself coming down on him, leaving him choking and gasping for breath as the circle imploded in on itself and the hits came in a rapid succession.

"Jury of Wolves: Queen's Judgement!"

Two dozen blows came all at the same time, which threw JJ upwards. He crashed through the ceiling and into the night air. He was left floating for a few moments before gravity took hold and brought him careening back towards the Earth. The second impact widened the hole JJ had flown through, bringing more debris back with him and leaving him in a pile of rubble. Any sign of beast JJ had on him was gone, left human and broken on the floor surrounded by a pile of glass, steel, concrete, and dust.

Suri panted, trying desperately to catch her breath as she collapsed to one knee. It was only the grip on her bo staff that kept her from falling over as she watched the pile with a stern concentration. With the last blow, she'd connected the escrima sticks into her staff and hit JJ with a crescent swing to the jaw. It was like the uppercut she usually used to finish the Jury of Wolves, only harder. The diamond-like moon crystals embedded in the staff also left a pretty gnarly mark when you got hit with them.

She took in a deep breath, chancing the motion to get back to her feet, and took the moment required to settle herself. She let out a long breath and then looked down at JJ, her old friend and lover, now enemy, and narrowed her eyes at him.

"I win," Suri smiled softly, chuckling under her breath. "That's thirteen to five, hun"

With him knocked out and immobilized, Suri turned to go to Taiga. She found the weretiger slowly picking herself off the ground and coughing from the force of the hit she'd taken. Suri began trotting the best she could to her friend's aid when she saw her earpiece on the floor. She'd realized she'd stopped hearing voices a while ago and realized the first hit from JJ had knocked the communication device off of her.

"You okay, hun?" Suri breathed as she began to reconnect the device.

"Yes, I believe I will be," Taiga responded, her breath shaky as she tried to straighten herself up.

"Whoa, are you two okay?"

Suri turned to see another pro hero that she recognized from the agency that went by the hero name Polarity. She was about the same height and build as Suri with short charcoal grey hair and heterochromatic eyes, her left being a bright silver color with a minus shaped pupil, her right being a bright vibrant red with a plus shaped pupil. Her costume was a sci-fi theme similar to Ochako's but flipped the pink to red and the white to silver. In fact, they had almost the exact same boots for their hero costumes, being large space themed heels, and similar large rounded gauntlets. Her gauntlets were black instead of white and had a red plus sign on her right hand and a silver minus sign on her left. It was a reflection of her pupils.

Suri's first thought, after seeing her costume for the first time and learning about her Quirk, was a living breathing version of when artists turn an inanimate object into a hot anime girl. Polarity was the sexy anime girl personification of a double A battery. Or was she the sexy anime girl version of a C battery? She was definitely a thicc with two c's kind of girl.

Suri remembered her being a second year pro who had been on Team Whiskey, just a couple ranks above Zeta, but got moved up to Omega when the restructuring happened. They'd talked a few times on the ground floor and in the locker room, since their lockers were on the same row. Neither of them had made it a secret that they found each other attractive but Suri had made it well known that Yumei would be her only office fling. The wandering eyes still occurred but they'd stayed as professional as possible. Polarity's Quirk regulated a magnetic field around her, making it possible for her to move herself at great speeds or repel enemies based on how she fluctuated her field. She had a great Quirk and had done a lot of improvement from the first time Suri'd met her.

"Yeah, we're gucci," Suri chuckled as she finally got the comm piece in and started picking up a cacophony of sounds coming through the other end. Yumei's voice was elevated, meaning she was stressed the fuck out. "Wild Eyes to Vipress, sit rep."

"Wild Eyes! Where the hell have you been?" Yumei shrieked into Suri's ear.

"The asset and I encountered an enemy here at my location and he knocked my ear piece out during the fight. He's currently unconscious," Suri replied as she moved to take a look out the windows towards the office building where her dad and King Saber were. From the sights and sounds it looked like the battle was still on and hadn't shown signs of slowing down at all. The building was completely trashed with the only light being the police bars swirling in red and blue from the base of the building. "What's going on? Do you want Polarity and I to return the asset back to base or do you want us to move in and help?"

"Wild Eyes, get the asset and get out of there!"

Suri's eyes began to widen. She recognized the voice on the other end of the comms but it wasn't the voice she'd expected to answer her. Suri realized then that, when she put her comm device back in, she'd switched channels from being direct to her team to the entire operation. It explained the absolute chaos in her ear. In that moment time seemed to slow to a crawl as she turned back around to see the pro heroine behind her. The look in her eyes and face had nothing but pure unadulterated lust on them, her cheeks blooming bright pink as she looked Suri over again. That look of lust and desire seemed to switch though as soon as her eyes met Suri's and the beast girl just now realized that the familiar scent she was breathing in wasn't that of her coworker. Her pupils seemed to shift, her pupils becoming slim almond shapes while the silver and red changed to gold.

Polarity also didn't have fangs.

Before Suri could react, she found the large sci-fi styled boot buried into her gut, hitting her with as much force as the other girl could manage. It was enough to pick her off the ground and float her above the ground as she began sailing backwards. She heard Polarity, the real one, in her ear screaming that she wasn't with Suri and that she needed to run. Suri's back hit the observation deck's windows in time to see Twice leaping out of the darkness to grab Taiga and inject something into her neck, making her eyes flutter as she collapsed. The glass shattered and still Suri continued with her momentum, watching as Polarity's face began to melt off of her and reveal Toga underneath.

Once she was out the window, time seemed to catch up. It was right in time for Suri to begin falling at a rapid pace with several roofs coming up fast, all of which she was going to miss on her way down. The only thing Suri could do was brace for impact and hope to the gods that this fall wouldn't kill her. Of course however, when you pray to gods that test your faith by trials of iron, they tend to hit you with curveballs. In this case, the curveball was a fire escape coming from the apartment building below and the iron railing hit her hard.

And everything went black.
