Chapter 11: Peace is an Abyss (2/4)

Raziel Baratheon:

"NO!"

"My Lord, please, the damage in your arm is too severe."

"I SAID NO!"

The number of people injured was considerable. All that could be done was try to help as best as they could. Sadly, that was proving to be a problem for a particular individual.

"What is the yelling about?" Raziel, who was still digesting the information about what had happened to Mya and everyone else asked.

There was a group of Knights, servants and a Maester, surrounding Andar Royce. Who was sitting on the ground with visible injuries. There was a cut on his head that a middle aged woman was pressing on with a piece of cloth, there was a big bruise on his torso that looked bad, but the injury that called the most attention was the one on his arm. His arm seems to have been completely crushed, apparently by a club or a mace and it didn't seem that it was salvageable.

"M-my Prince..." The Maester was a thin and gaunt looking man with a clean shaven face but short and unkept gray hair. "I was simply informing the son of Lord Royce that the damage on his arm is too severe and it will require amputation in order to prevent an infection that will kill him later."

Raziel did read about the danger of having an infected wound, so he understood what the Maester meant. "And what exactly are you waiting for?" The Prince asked.

"You see..." The Maester tried to respond but it was interrupted by yelling.

"NO!" The yelling came from Andar, who was yelling at the Knights that were apparently in his service. "I AM NOT GOING TO BE A CRIPPLE!" He stated to the man that was trying to convince him to allow the Maester to amputate his arm.

"Really?" Raziel asked the Maester in an exceptionally unamused tone, which the Maester responded with a simple nod. I guess being whiner is a family trait. That was his opinion as searched around for Robyn, who seemed to be searching for his grandfather, who obviously didn't come back. Bronze Yohn is a great warrior, I'm sure he is alright. That was his honest opinion since he saw Yohn Royce fighting at Tourneys in King's Landing on a few occasions and could safely say that his skills are on par with some of the best.

"My Prince, the longer we take to amputate the arm, the worse it's going to get." The Maester informed Raziel.

It only took a second for the boy to understand what the Maester wanted from him. Because he was the only one with authority to order him to go through it against his will. But Raziel wasn't interested in doing that and if he actually dies because of it, he doesn't really care. But... Robyn would be upset and I have a deep respect for Bronze Yohn, and Jon may be disappointed so... The black haired sighed before he took a step forward and stood in front of the injured heir of Runestone as a young boy who seemed to be a Squire, removed the bottom of his armor, where a deep cut could be seen on his left thigh. Then he noticed the parts of Andar 's bronze armor. Paying close attention to the nice looking helmet that was there.

"I must insist for you to reconsider." A Knight that seemed to be in service of House Royce, kept on pleading to the stubborn idiot. "The Maester said th-"

"I SAID NO!" But he kept on being a stubborn fool. "I WILL NOT LOSE MY ARM BECAUSE OF A SAVAG-"

While he was screaming at the poor Knight that was only trying to help him. Raziel decided that there was no point in wasting his time trying to argue with the idiot. So he simply picked up Andar's visorless helmet and while he was looking at the knight, smashed into the side of his head, hard. Knocking him out cold.

That surprised everyone around , who simply stood there, looking at the Prince in deep confusion. But Raziel didn't pay any attention to them and was busy inspecting the helmet. This is just painted steel.. He thought in disappointment before dropping the helmet down. Then the boy spared a look to Robyn's uncle, whom he just knocked out with his own helmet. Fool... Before turning around and asking. "Are you going to do it or are you going to wait until he wakes up and starts refusing again?" That was a question directed at the Maester, who was standing there with a confused expression.

The Maester snapped out of it and understood why he did what did and immediately moved towards the unconscious heir of Runestone. "Not quite what I was expecting but thank you, my Prince."

"My Prince, was that necessary?" The Knight that was trying to make Andar see reason asked. He was wearing Plate armor and a padded surcoat with the colors of House Coldwater.

"It was either that or having all of you hold him down, but that would have only complicated his work." He responded to his question while pointing at the Maester.

"The Prince is correct." The Maester spoke as he applied a tourniquet on Andar's arm.

"Forgive me, I was simply surprised." The Knight apologized to the Prince for doubting his decision.

"You are forgiven." Raziel told him before turning around to leave. "If he wakes up, hold him down so the Maester can finish tending to his wounds and that is an order." If he dies because of it, that is on him and I did my part.

"Yes, my Prince." The Knight bowed as Raziel walked away in order to think about the situation.

For hours , the Prince couldn't do anything but wait. Everyone was too busy tending the wounded and discussing what they would do next. There was still the problem regarding the ones that haven't returned. Mainly Bronze Yohn for most people, but for Raziel, it was Mya Stone that concerned him.

Currently, he was inside of the stables. Trying to clear his head.

"I know, I know..." The Prince was feeding Mya's favorite Mule. "Muddy, I'm worried about Mya." The Mule made a sound that indicated that he was also worried. "Basically her and the other half of the group that went to inspect that cave haven't returned yet." He touched his face in frustration as he was hoping that she would return with the other group. "I don't want to wait anymore but I don't know what else to do." There was no way that they could risk sending another group to search, especially after getting confirmation that the location was indeed the one that Jon Arryn tasked Yohn Royce to search for. "And to make matters worse, Mya was last seen entering a cave that the Mountain Clans seem to be utilizing to enter the Vale." Raziel couldn't get over that. "I mean, where did this cave come from anyway?" It was something that didn't make any sense to him. How could such a thing exist and only be discovered now? There is no way that this cave appeared out of thin air, so it probably was already there and someone just found it. That was his best theory.

Muddy simply rubbed it's nose on Raziel's cheek. With the boy basically caressing his head in response to that. Why do I feel so... Bad? The idea of Mya being in danger just made him feel awful. Taking a look outside, he realized that it was going to get dark soon, which made him feel even more awful due to the images of Mya being stuck inside that dark cave with the Mountain Clans around. I... I... I want... I need to do something... The Prince only had that on his mind at the moment, but he had no idea what he did. I can't order people to go search because that would only cause more casualties, and I highly doubt that Lord Redfort has men to spare. He kept on caressing Muddy's head while thinking of what to do.

"Raziel." Suddenly, he heard Robyn's voice.

"What is it?" He didn't even bother to look at his annoying friend.

"Why did you hit my uncle with a helmet?" Robyn asked as he approached the Prince.

"Because your uncle was being a fool and his foolishness was going to kill him if I didn't do what I did." Raziel replied as he stopped caressing Muddy. "How is his arm?"

"The Maester cut it off but he is going to be really upset when he wakes up." Robyn informed him.

"I don't care." Raziel bluntly responded to him. "It was his arm or his life."

"I know..." Robyn wasn't really chastising him. "But it was his dominant arm." That was the thing that upset Robyn about what happened to his uncle. "And grandfather is still missing."

"First, that is indeed a sad thing and I do feel bad for your uncle but like I said, it's better than dying and trust me, it could have been much worse." I can certainly think of worse things to happen than losing your dominant hand. Like losing a leg or your vision. That was Raziel's honest opinion, he would be upset for not being able to fight anymore but not being able to walk or see would be ten times worse in his opinion. "Second, your grandfather is one of the best warriors in the Vale, it's going to take more than a few savages to put him down." He reassured Robyn. I can't say the same thing for Mya though and that is the main reason why I'm so worried.

"Some of the soldiers that were accompanying him and my uncle mentioned that they saw my grandfather and a group of Knights entering a cave." Robyn mentioned and Raziel listened closely since it was definitely the same cave that Mya entered. "They think that the reason that he hasn't returned is because he was finishing what he went there to do."

Raziel heard what Robyn told him and it actually made sense. Bronze Yohn must have taken the chance to try to clean up the cave or at least find a way to seal it to prevent more people from the Mountain Clans to get into the Vale. That was Raziel assumption, since Yohn Royce gave his word to Jon Arryn that he would help him solve this mess regarding the other entrance to the Vale while Jon deals with whatever is going on at Gulltown. "Now that you mentioned, I actually agree with them." Raziel told Robyn. "It is actually possible that your grandfather is simply trying to complete the task that was given to him by Jon."

"But, he only has half of the man now!" Robyn pointed out the obvious, although it's actually less than the half if Raziel counted right.

"Trained Knights wearing armor are vastly superior in combat than untrained armorless savages." Raziel pointed out. Although, if the savages have the higher numbers it will certainly pose a threat, but I can't really tell him that. "All we can do is wait and hope for the best." He tried to reassure him, but he can tell that he is as uneasy as he is. "Did they place your uncle in a room or did they leave him where he was?"

"I... Think they placed him in a room." Robyn sounded unsure. "Actually, I'm going to go ask where, " He informed him while pointing at the door with his thumb. "Because I wanna be there when he wakes up."

"Considering the fact that he is going to wake up and notice that his arm is gone, I think that's a good idea." Raziel supported Robyn's decision. "I'm going to stay here a little longer..."

"Alright, see you later, my friend." Robyn decided to take his leave, so he moved towards the exit while waving at the black haired boy.

Now, Raziel was alone once again with only a Mule and some horses to keep him company. The boy sighed because his thoughts went back to Mya. "I guess she left you behind in fear of something happening." Muddy made a sad sound in response. "It turned out to be the right decision because something did happen." Taking a deep breath, he continued. "I'm not worried about Bronze Yohn and the other soldiers, they can take care of themselves but Mya can't." Though, something tells Raziel that she actually has potential. "What if they simply ignore her in favor of accomplishing the task." That was his biggest concern.

Muddy made a sound that seemed to be a concerning one. "I know, I know..." He touched his head to calm him down. "Truth is, all I want to do right now is mount you and go to that damn cave to make sure that she is alright."

...

...

...

...

Should I?

For the next hour or two, Raziel contemplated whether he should actually do it or not. Since the idea was foolish but there was a part of him that was simply pushing him into actually following through it.

Eventually, he came to a decision.

As the night finally arrived, Raziel came to a decision. Which was to sneak out of the castle and make his way to the cave in order to search for Mya Stone despite the danger. So he broke into the room that Bronze Royce was staying in and stole a map that had the location of the cave in it. Then he moved towards the stable and took Muddy before leaving through the main entrance after he lied saying that he was going out to hunt. The guard was confused, but he knew better to not question the Prince's word.

Hilariously, despite being a terrible horse rider, he was doing a very good job riding Muddy. Probably because Muddy likes Raziel. He also took an oil lantern to illuminate his way. "Once again, I apologize for this but I appreciate your company." Of course, Raziel wasn't really alone.

Sandor Clegane was actually following him from behind on his stallion, the heavy courser named Stranger. Unsurprisingly, all that Raziel had to do was inform him of the plan and the scarred man followed him without question. "If you get yourself killed, my head is going to be on a spike, so don't get the wrong idea." He spoke coldly.

"Actually, I'm pretty sure that my mother would have burned you alive instead." He pointed out, causing Sandor to frown in response. "And probably have your brother do it just to piss you off before you die."

"The Queen does seem like the type." Sandor commented with a strange smirk. Apparently finding that amusing for some reason.

You have no idea... Raziel thought in regards to his mother, deeply wondering how she was doing at the moment. But he quickly shaked the thought off his mind since he needed to focus on the task, though, he would be lying if he said that he didn't miss his mother's touches from time to time.

Raziel and Sandor both followed the location marked on the map that he took. The map indicated that the location of the cave was actually west of the Redford, in a path of a very strange open field, with absolutely nothing but grass around. Looking back, Raziel could actually see the Redfort from a distance, but partially and they will definitely lose sight of it soon. If his calculations are correct, the cave is four hours away from the Redfort, if you are travelling on a horse. Or on a Mule in Raziel's case.

The Prince had his Dragonbone bow and arrows with him, alongside his Valyrian steel dagger for protection. However, he also took a shortsword from the Armory Room of the Redfort. The shortsword is shorter than a longsword but longer and heavier than a dagger, is a one-handed blade generally meant for thrusting. If a battle does ensue though, he would simply maintain his distance because facing an opponent that is much bigger than him at close-range would be foolish. But if the situation calls for it, at least he is prepared. He also thought about wearing some kind of armor, but Raziel couldn't find anything that fit him and it would restrict him more than it would protect if he tried to wear it anyway. Though, he did put on a helmet on his head, the same helmet that he used to knock Andar Royce out earlier.

The Hound on the other hand had a longsword as his side weapon and a battle axe as his main weapon. He was wearing an olive-green cloak over plain, soot-dark armor, and a distinctive helm sculpted into the shape of a snarling dog's head. Clearly, if a battle ensues, Sandor will be the one getting close to his opponents, not that it's a bad thing since they will be the ones in trouble in Raziel's opinion.

Moving his head up, Raziel noticed that night was going to be dark and that the cave would be even darker. The Prince was having second thoughts about everything and a question came into his mind, so he decided to ask the only person that he could speak to at the moment.

"You think I'm doing something foolish?" That was a very stupid question and he already knew the answer.

"Yes." Sandor bluntly replied to him.

"And, why didn't you try to stop me?" Raziel asked since Sandor could have informed Lord Redfort and they could have prevented him from actually going, all they had to do was inform Jon of the reason later and they would get a pass.

"Because I'm pretty sure that you would have me killed for telling on you." Sandor informed him.

"Sadly, you are wrong, so you are basically following me for no good reason." Raziel pointed out half-jokingly , since he definitely wouldn't kill his own sworn-shield over this.

"Hah..." Sandor let out a fake laugh in response to Raziel's comment, though it was probably because he found his comment at least somewhat amusing.

"But, seriously, is that the only reason?" Raziel asked out of curiosity.

"Does it even fucking matter?" The Hound asked the Prince in a cold tone.

"No, I was just curious." Raziel replied. "And I appreciate your honesty."

"Hm..." Sandor only grunted in response as he followed behind the Prince.

Soon enough, Raziel Baratheon and Sandor Clegane arrived at the location. Strangely enough, once they arrived at the end of the large open field that they were passing through. They ended up finding a strange group of trees that grew right next to one of the mountains of the Vale. But as soon as they passed through, there was a very small climb that they had to go through, thankfully, Raziel found a path thanks to the signs that someone actually went through there. Sadly, Raziel and Sandor had to leave Muddy and Stranger behind in order to go through the path.

"Dammit..." It was Raziel's reaction, because once they crossed the path, the two of them were greeted by the sight of a completely destroyed camp that was filled with corpses. Corpses of both soldiers and Mountain Man. They were easily distinguished by the fact that some were wearing animal skin while others were wearing armor. "I can kind of understand now..." He commented out loud. "This spot is quite hidden and someone would only find it by pure luck." That was his opinion because he was only able to find it because of the map and the signs left by the previous people that went there.

There were exactly ten dead members of the hill tribes and nine dead soldiers from House Redfort there. Raziel can tell that it was a bloody battle because some of them were dismembered and there was blood everywhere. The superior equipment of the party that was being led by Bronze Yohn was certainly the deciding factor but the element of surprise clearly worked in the Mountain Men's favor as well.

The camp was uninhabitable at the moment due to corpses around, so it would take too long to move them away. There wasn't anything there that they could use either, not a single supply. However, Raziel can't tell which side took it.

"Hey." Raziel heard Sandor call him. "There's someone coming." The Hound informed him.

Raziel, who was busy inspecting the camp, heard it. So he moved his head to see what he was talking about and noticed a noise coming from the path ahead. Moving his head around once again, the Prince searched for a spot to hide in case of it being an enemy. Luckily, he saw a mostly intact tent that he could hide behind. So he signalled to Sandor to follow him while he grabbed his bow, which was on his back.

Both the Prince and the Hound got behind the mostly intact tend that Raziel assumes that it actually belongs to Bronze Yohn due to how high quality it was. "Let us see who it is first." Raziel told Sandor as he crouched with his bow at hand. From the distance, Raziel could see two men and a woman walking together. It only took a second for them to actually start to loot the corpses of the fallen.

For the next minute or two, Raziel and Sandor simply observed them in hopes of seeing something. But all that they saw was one of the men stabbing the other over a poor quality sword. Then the woman tried to attack him with an axe, and he chopped her nose off with the same poor quality sword. Sandor found the entire situation amusing, while Raziel was repulsed.

"Waste of time." Raziel aimed his bow at the sky, he took a few seconds to actually shoot the arrow. Sandor looked at him with a somewhat confused face and Raziel basically smirked before pointing at the last savage remaining. "Wait." He told Sandor as they watched the savage try to remove the armor from one of the soldiers. "Wait..." A second after he said it, the arrow that he shot fell from the sky, and landed perfectly on the top of the savage's head. "There you go."

"Nice shot, but what exactly are we going to do?" Sandor asked the Prince.

Raziel simply signalled Sandor to follow him. The two walked past the corpses in order to go through the same way that the trio of savages came from. Moving slowly, once they turned around a corner, they saw.

"What the..." That was Raziel's reaction.

To their shock and surprise, they finally found the so-called other entrance to the Vale. Right in front of them, there was an immense hole on the mountain that clearly was the cave that Bronze Yohn's party came to inspect. The hole was the size of a castle gate and there was nothing but darkness inside. And to think that this has probably been here the whole time and was only found now. Raziel thought as he was quite impressed by the sheer size of the entrance to the cave. But brought a lot of questions into his mind, mainly how large was the interior of that cave. There was also the thought of possible dangers that could exist inside other than the Mountain clans. Maybe there could be a beast or something similar inside of it.

That was something that the Prince contemplated for a second. Until the image of Mya Stone appeared on his mind. And just like that, all doubts disappeared from his mind. Please be alive, so I can find you. Raziel practically begged, despite not knowing why he cares so much about her. All that he knows is that he won't stop until he finds her.

Taking a deep breath, the boy with black hair grabbed the oil lantern and lit it on. "Are you ready for this?" He asked his companion.

Sandor spared a good look towards the Prince and his response was to grab a leather bottle that was strapped to his belt and gulp it down. It only took a second for Raziel to figure out that it was wine. But he waited until he was finished. Once he drank the whole bottle, he dropped on the ground.

"I'll take this as a yes." The Prince said, before he moved forward. Sandor followed behind him with his battle axe at hand, ready to kill any more savages that came their way. But Raziel Baratheon was still having a very bad feeling about this entire situation, which got slightly worse as he and Sandor Clegane stepped inside the cave.

It was cold inside and the darkness seemed like it was going to eat them alive. With the lantern being the only thing keeping them from being devoured by the darkness. As expected the inside of the cave was as big as the giant gaping hole that they entered through, which surprised Raziel slightly as he wondered for how long was that cave there and how did they discover it. It only took a few steps for him to step on something, and when he illuminated, he saw that it was a severed arm. Hmmm... Raziel picked up to inspect and noticed that it didn't belong to anyone from Bronze Yohn's party due to how skinny it was and the lack of armor on it. So he tossed to the side and kept moving. Sadly, if they ran into anyone they wouldn't have the element of surprise as their steps echo through the cave despite their best efforts to try to stay quiet. Although, that was also a good thing since they will be able to hear someone coming if it comes to that. The cold inside the cave was considerable, mostly because of the wind that was coming from the entrance. I hope Mya came with the mantle that I gave to her. The Prince hoped.

It only took a dozen steps for Raziel and Sandor to arrive at an impasse. "Great..." Sandor spoke as the two of them arrived at a spot that had several different pathways to go through. Four to be more precise, one on the left, two in the front and one on the right.

Raziel observed the paths one by one in order to see if he could determine which one was the one that either Mya or Lord Royce had used. I guess this is why Lord Royce wanted the numbers, so they could scatter and investigate each pathway. That was his conclusion. Slowly, he inspected the entrance of each of the pathways in an attempt to find any trace or maybe a sign that someone went through there. Unfortunately, he found some traces in each of the pathways, which was both a positive and a negative.

The left pathway, there was a strong smell of piss and he was sure that he wasn't mistaken. Indicating that someone has relieved himself on the pathway.

The right pathway, there were blood drops that went all the way in, indicating that someone that was injured went that way.

The two pathways in the front, one northwest and the other was northeast.

There absolutely nothing on the northwest entry that indicated that someone went through there

Then, there was the northeast path. Strangely, there was a pretty considerable gush of wind coming from that pathway, which Raziel assumed that it could be the other end of the cave where the mountain clans came from.

Okay... Raziel had to make a decision about which path he and Sandor should go through. If Mya actually went inside when the battle was occuring, then chances are that she entered without a source of light. This cave is exceptionally dark and it would be dark even in daylight, so Mya probably couldn't see anything. The path from the entrance to here is straight, so she probably went forward all the way here. Meaning that she probably went through one of the two front pathways blindly. The Prince theorized what the natural daughter could have done during her escape. He was rationalizing what she could have done, but it was better than blindly searching for her in that visibly large cave. Sadly, now all he could do was use his intuition since he has no idea which of the two pathways she could have gone if his assumption is correct.

It took him a whole minute in pure and complete contemplation. Until he finally came to a decision.

"What the fuck are you doing?" Sandor asked.

Raziel pulled a golden coin from his pocket. "Leaving this to fate." That was a very foolish thing to say, but truth is, he was going to blindly choose anyway, so why not test his luck. " Front side, northwest." He showed him the heads of the coin. "Back side, northeast." He showed him the tails of the coin.

"Flipping a coin?" Sandor asked.

"You know the old saying about the Targaryen?" Raziel decided to make an observation that had little to do with their current situation but it happened to involve coins as well. "Every time a new Targaryen is born, the gods toss the coin in the air and the world holds its breath to see how it will land."

"You're literally just deciding which side you are taking inside of a cave that smells like piss and blood, and you actually want compare this, with gods deciding which one in that incest filled family is going to turn out mad?" Sandor pointed out how foolish that comparison was, but Raziel was aware of that.

"No, but that was the only thing regarding coins that I could think of at the moment." Raziel explained to him.

"Just toss the fucking thing so we can get this over with." Sandor bluntly told the Prince, because he clearly didn't want to be there anymore than he had to.

"As you wish." With that, Raziel flipped the coin and watched as it landed on the ground. "Northeast." It turned out to be the spot where the gush of wind was coming from, which gave Raziel a bad feeling due to the fact that it might have led Mya straight to the hill tribes. "Come on, and stay alert, we don't know what could be crawling inside this cave."

The two moved forward for a considerable amount of time, thankfully, they didn't run into anything but it clearly made Raziel wonder if they were actually going somewhere or they were heading towards a deadend. The oil lantern did a good job to illuminate their path, but they also brought a torch in case of needing another source of light. After a dozen more steps, Raziel could feel the wind getting stronger and it was an indication that they were getting somewhere, which was a good thing. Eventually, they arrived somewhere.

"Wait... What?" That was Raziel's immediate response as they saw where the wind was coming from.

At the end of the pathway, there was a strange open area. The wind that he felt was from a giant hole at the ceiling that allowed the moonlight to illuminate the area. But what the moonlight was illuminating was the most interesting part, which was a small river with a dead tree next to it. But the thing literally called the most attention, was what was covering the dead tree.

"What the hell is on the tree?" Sandor asked as he noticed the same thing that Raziel did.

"Let's see..." Raziel decided to approach due to his curiosity, despite being disappointed that there was no one there.

Both the Prince and the Hound approached the strange river and the tree. The river seemed clean enough, but he didn't want to take his chances. Looking above, Raziel noticed that the moon was shining but he also saw that it was already past midnight thanks to the position of it. Not that it mattered on their current situation but it was nice to know the time. Despite Raziel's worry, Sandor had no such problem and took a very small sip of the water by hand. By his lack of reaction or response, he could assume that it was clean, so Raziel decided to drink some as well. It was refreshing but he didn't drink much. After that, he finally reached the strange dead tree that was there. To his surprise, there was a skeleton next to the tree.

"Hey..." It was Raziel's reaction, normally, he wouldn't really care but. "That armor..." The skeleton was wearing some very fine pieces of armor, despite the fact that it was completely rusted. There was also something exceptionally strange over the armor, sadly, Raziel couldn't tell what it was but unlike the armor, it was completely intact, but he couldn't identify what kind of fabric was that, it seemed like some type of clothing that he was wearing over the armor but he never saw anything like that before . But what certainly called the most attention in whoever's remains was that, was something that was tied to it. Just like the strange piece of clothing that he was wearing over the armor, there was a large piece of cloth that was completely covering the dead tree, it was clearly originally tied to the skeleton as he could see what were remains of rope or something similar on the ground next to the tree. Raziel was curious about what that large piece of cloth was, so he moved around the tree to see if he could get a better look at it. But once he got behind the tree and took a few steps back, he saw something interesting. There was a strange looking painting on the cloth that Raziel kept on trying to get a better position to look at it more closely. Until he got far enough and saw that it resembled something. Wait, it's that... a Falcon? It was the image of a Falcon on that piece of cloth, a nice looking piece of art if Raziel must say so himself. But, with that however, came a doubt that he couldn't shake it off. But, what the hell is that?

The Prince kept pondering for a second, as he couldn't understand what exactly that thing was. Honestly, if I saw that from far away, I would think that it's a giant Falcon or something... After that passed through his mind, he realized something. No way... Raziel immediately made his way back to the tree where the skeleton was, Sandor was simply standing there, wondering what exactly he was doing. Approaching the skeleton once again, Raziel inspected the strange piece of clothing that was over the armor and he saw that there was something that resembled wings on his arms and legs. Once he saw that, Raziel had a realization which caused him to burst into laughter as he couldn't believe it.

"What's so funny?" Sandor asked as he didn't understand why he was so happy.

Raziel looked at the scarred man with his blue eyes and let out a big smile. "Sandor Clegane," He stood up and highlighted the skeleton with his hands. "I present to you, The Winged Knight." Obviously, the Hound made a surprised expression. "And that must be his huge falcon." He spoke with a huge smile on his face as he pointed at the large piece of cloth that was covering the tree.

Thanks everyone for reading my story. Personally, when I started to write it, I was not expecting it to get so successful. I still cannot believe that it actually passed the 1000 fav and follow. I only want to say that, your support means everything to me and I appreciate it.

As always: Q and A:

have you seen house of the dragon and if you have what do you think so far my favourite character is daemon?

Daemon is also GRRM's favorite Targaryen.

kinda not likeing how the mc seems to only be a slightly better version of joffery and how he seems to have a fascination with death that you seem to be hinting at I just dont see any reason for it sure him being angry and killing the boy in anger but it's the foreshadowing of his character that's annoying especially with him being so young to be apathetic to it I'd find it making more sense if he was apathetic about it as he got older but still

Once again, you are making assumptions and I once again will inform you that you are wrong.

Of course, he's going to have similarities with Joffrey, the two had the exact same upbringing but with a few differences. Some good (Robert actually spending time with him.), some bad (Cersei's molestation.)

Anyways hearing about all the stuff in Gulltown in the back of my head I'm thinking right how much of this shit is Littlefinger responsible for

I kinda like how Raziel only ensured Robyn would be brought along just to make hm shit the fuck up haha and he's only going because he wants to spend more time with Mya anyway sweet scene with her with Raziel talking about teaching her to read more

Now the arrival at the Redfort showed me Raziel is already quite charming so I imagine him learning charm from Renly won't be a formal thing just Raziel casually observing how Renly interacts with everyone

Glad Raziel learnt some more about that second entrance into the Vale proper

Loved the scene with Mya again all very sweet but I'm looking forward to when their relation is revealed Mya I imagine will be a bit embarrassed at first while with Raziel I can't help but picture him thinking huh despite knowing that I'd still happily kiss Mya must be the Targaryen in me haha

Enjoyed Raziel kicking Mychel Redforts ass and liked seeing Artys again course then things went sideways with what happened to the party that was sent out

Loved the terror of the stable boy when he realised just who he had told to fuck off and loved Raziel's lack of patience and concern for Mya

As for Robyn's worry about Bronze Yohn considering he's probably the best fighter from the Vale at the moment I figure he'd be fine

But got a feeling some hill tribes men are going to die if they get between Raziel and Mya

Isn't Neds who passes the sentence should swing the sword thing just a Northern thing in general

Small council wise so yeah Tyrion is the ideal pick and I think Asha would accept the offer to become Mistress of Ships I mean one another thing to go down in history as the first iron born and woman to hold the post but also on Raziel's behalf she'd get to command not only the Iron fleet but also the Royal Fleet and I can see her somewhat ironically enjoying going out with portions of the fleets on Pirate hunts

Yeah now I picture Raziel and Alayne's daughter as someone that would only actually listen to them I also picture her as being someone that would abduct and kill anyone if she heard them say anything even remotely negative about Raziel all the while counting the days till she's back in Raziel's bed haha

Also with Alayne and the Stark sisters yeah even with what her relationship is like with each one I can see her still joining them when Raziel fucks them Arya because I think Arya would be fine with Alayne taking part and as for Sansa she'd join in just to show off that she can last longer being fucked by Raziel than Sansa

Plus while she might force Sansa to see Raziel fuck other woman I can see with Arya her asking to watch and Alayne takes her to watch and alongside encoring her behaviour definitely see Alayne encouraging Arya to hop in Raziel's bed to get fucked

In regards to the Valyrian steel blades would be cool if one day we got like a compendium or something about the 227 blades of Westros and maybe a few of the blades that are Essos based like Truth and not to surprised that none of the daggers history was given since when it comes to Valyrian steel the attention is given to the swords made from the stuff

As for the dagger in canon would surprise me if it was something like a gift given to one of the past kings from one of the leaders from the free cities or heck something the Targaryens had buried in their luggage when they left the free hold haha

Been meaning to ask with the potential dance of the dragons/ house of the dragons era Oc the son of Daemon that you could write about after this story is all wrapped up would he be the son of Daemon and his first wife Rhea Royce be pretty neat for the Oc to have not only his own great skills and one of the better dragons from that era but also Rhea could have gifted her son Lamentation

I'm glad...

A lot of it...

Raziel does consider Robyn a friend, but he simply cannot stand his whining. She's too lazy to read, so poor Raziel will have to read for her.

He will learn how to take full advantage of his natural charisma, kind of imitating some of Renly's gestures, mannerisms and some of his grooming methods. {Despite the fact that he views Renly as his least favorite uncle.}

By accidentally eavesdropping in a conversation.

Haha! Yes, sadly, he will only discover when Jon finally reveals to him.

Funny fact: If Mychel did the same thing he did to Mya here {It won't happen don't worry.} Raziel would have pulled out the same attack but with a real sword on him. Artys always follows Raziel...

I didn't want Raziel to be too humble and to actually take advantage of his status as the Prince (I just think that he's more interesting like this.) He already cares a lot about Mya and that will only increase after the revelation.

Yup...

It won't be an easy task but...

Kinda, but a lot of Ned's code of honor definitely came from Jon.

Well...

Precisely, unless it's her mother or father, she just won't listen.

Mya and Jon would probably make sure that is not going to happen {At least until Arya is old enough.} Sansa is a little more complicated than that.

...

It definitely would.

Kind of it...

Either Rhena or Mysaria. {Mysaria would REALLY love her son.}

Make Sure to Have Ros of North

Raziel's yandere Paramour will bring her to him as a gift.

Love this story!
thank you for the great work ! I'm looking forward to Raziel rage

Thanks.

He will go medieval on the Mountain Clan's ass.
