Chapter 12: Moonlander (2/4)
Raziel Baratheon:
"It is right at the end of this path." The black haired boy informed them.
"I was expecting a more complicated path." Bronze Yohn told him as he rode his horse besides the Prince.
"I really don't understand why you want me to show you the way when I could simply mark it on a map for you. " The Prince replied slightly annoyed with the unnecessary trip that he had to make.
After a few more days, Bronze Yohn and Lord Redfort were able to completely seal the cave. Now no one can use it to get in and out of the Vale and once that was dealt with, everyone finally decided to make their way back to the Gates of the Moon. However, upon their arrival, he received a request from Bronze Yohn, who wanted Raziel to show him the way to the home of the Shepherd whose son he killed. Raziel was a little annoyed with that request because he really wanted to go see Symeon. But, it turned out that the Shepard may know the whereabouts of Bronze Yohn's sons. So the Prince decided to help.
"Here we go..." Once again, Raziel mounted Muddy to make the trip. "Mya got it just for you." The boy fed an apple to the Mule.
Muddy made a happy sound before he bit the apple. Raziel smiled and patted his head.
The Prince and the Lord of Runestone were being accompanied by five guards and Sandor Clegane, who were all riding behind them. The day was quite windy, which was why the Prince had a hood in his head. I really don't understand the logic behind such a foolish decision. Raziel really didn't, because he kept trying to understand who could be as foolish as this Shepard to aid in the abduction of one the high Lords of the Vale.
The path that they were taking was quite peaceful, with a road that was surrounded by a large grass field. So far, he hasn't seen a single sheep in the area, but that might be because he wasn't paying much attention to it.
"Forgive me for asking, but there seemed to be quite the commotion during our return to the Gates of the Moon." Bronze Yohn spoke to the Prince as he rode on top of his beautiful horse beside him.
"Everyone was asking me about what happened in the cave." In truth, ever since what happened, several different versions of the story had been spread around the Vale. With each version being more exaggerated than the next.
One of those versions claims that Raziel went to the cave alone and single handedly killed all of the members of the Moon Brothers.
Another claims that he actually climbed the whole mountain and descended to reach the other side.
The most absurd version was the one that claims that he actually flew on the Winged Knight's giant falcon and fought against the Moon Brother's leader in combat.
Raziel wasted no time in disproving any of those claims, but he didn't confirm them either. Not like they would have listened to him anyway, since they were so caught up in those versions of the event that the truth simply didn't matter to them. A similar thing happened back in Casterly Rock, with several people making exaggerated versions of his first hunting trip with his father. With people claiming that he was the one that wrestled the Lion instead of the King.
"Everyone keeps bothering me about what happened in the cave." The Prince replied in slight annoyance before continuing. "Is quite annoying." Then he reached into a small bag that was strapped to his saddle. The bag contained some mint leaves that he enjoys chewing.
"Trust me, some men take pride in recounting their adventures." Bronze Yohn pointed out to the Prince as he scratched his beard. "Others, honestly, simply wish to be left in peace and not be reminded of them constantly."
"Which one are you?" The black haired boy asked as he chewed mint leaves.
"I certainly enjoyed recounting them when I was younger," The Lord of Runestone answered. "Now, it's simply tedious to be asked to repeat a story that I told more than enough times."
"It's tedious to be asked to repeat a story that I haven't even told once." Raziel only gives the basic details of the story to whoever asks. That he went in to rescue someone, although everyone assumes that this someone was actually Bronze Yohn when it was actually Mya.
"My Lord." One of the Knights under Bronze Yohn's command called him. "I think we reached our destination." The man pointed towards a small looking shack from a distance.
"We did." Raziel confirmed as it was the house that he visited alongside Jon to give compensation to the boy's father. It's just as bad as he remembered and he sees no sign of sheep.
"Let us proceed then, the sooner we discover where he took my sons, the better." Bronze Yohn spoke as he began to gallop towards the Shepherd's home at a surprise speed. The Knights followed his horse just as quickly.
"No need to hurry." He told Muddy as the Mule moved at the same speed. With Sandor quietly following him from behind.
He could see them reach the Shepherd's home from afar, not really caring about the outcome since all they wanted was for Raziel to show them the way. I hope Bronze Yohn's sons are alright. Despite not knowing them personally, it will be really saddening for Jon, Robyn and Bronze Yohn if they perish.
A few minutes after the others reached the location. Raziel and Sandor reached the Shepherd's home. With Raziel slowly descending from Muddy, patting his head before moving towards the place with Sandor slowly descending from his horse. The shack was in really poor condition, with the wood being rotten, the roof having several holes on it and the door being just an open spot that was shaped like a door. The place had an awful smell and there was no sign of sheep in the area. Only a considerably old cart that is probably going to fall apart soon.
The Prince decided to enter the shack in order to see what was going to happen, once he stepped in, he saw Bronze Yohn and the knights standing over something on the floor. "Is he dead?" The "Something" was the man that they were looking for. The Shepherd was around the same age as his uncle Stannis. With dark, short hair awkwardly hanging over a thin, menacing face. Hollow hazel eyes with freckles are spread graciously across his cheeks and forehead, leaving a compelling example of his unfortunate looks. He was wearing a dirty worn out white shirt and even dirtier white breeches, but strangely, he was wearing fine looking leather boots that really didn't match the rest of his outfit.
"No..." Bronze Yohn made a disgusted face as he looked at the man. "He is simply drunk."
"Oh..." As a matter of fact, Raziel was feeling a familiar smell of piss and vomit. "If that is the case." Out of nowhere, the Prince kicked the unconscious man in the ribs with the tip of his shoe. "WAKE UP YOU SMELLY BASTARD!" Yelling as loud as he could after that.
That surprised the people inside of the shack, but no one said anything since they needed to wake the man up anyway. "Aaahhh.." The man grunted after Raziel's kick, but barely reacted to it and simply rolled to the left.
"Just like my father." Raziel spoke sarcastically, because he did the same thing to the King once. He actually heard one of the Knights chuckling in response to what he just said, probably making the connection. "Can someone bring me my Waterskin?" He asked the older men.
One of the Knights actually nodded and proceeded to move towards the door of the shack to make his way back to the horses and Muddy. He heard Muddy making a noise, probably not wanting the Knight to take his things. But the Knight returned with his waterskin soon after.
"Thanks." Raziel held a waterskin made of very fine looking leather, opening and taking a sip of the clean fresh water that was inside of it. Once he took his drink, however, he poured all of the remaining water on the Shepherd's head to wake him up.
"Ahh..." The drunk grunted in response as water fell on him. "What the fuck!" The man yelled angrily as he rolled around and stood up.
"Forgive me, but you were in clear need of a bath." Raziel joked with a smile as he watched men try to shake the water off his head.
"YOU LITTLE FUCKER, I'M GO-" The Sheperd was angry and was clearly about to attack the Prince, but before he could, Bronze Yohn stepped fowards and grabbed the man by the shirt.
"You are speaking to the Crown Prince of Westeros, you filthy drunk." The Lord of Runestone spoke in a calm but incredibly booming voice. "Now, I am going to ask you a question and you will answer it." The man seemed to be barely conscious, but his facial expression indicated that he understood. "You were paid a considerable amount of gold to transport two young men out of Gulltown." It wasn't a question, it was a clear accusation. "Those two were my sons and you will tell me where you took them right now." He demanded calmly, but Raziel could tell that he was impatient.
"Ahhhh..." The Shepherd grunted in response to the question. "I don't remember...",
Raziel, who simply stood there, moved his head around and realized that the shack barely had anything inside. Just a table with no chairs and the bed was basically a bunch of hay on the floor. I guess he wasted all of the gold in beer. That was his guess since the place smelled like beer.
Bronze Yohn, understandably, did not like that answer. So he proceeded to grab the man with both hands and push him towards the wall roughly. "WHERE ARE MY SONS?!" He yelled angrily at the man.
"The Knights simply told me to stop in the middle of the road and they carried the two away." The man responded, clearly disoriented due to drinking. "I don't know where." Raziel could tell that the man was telling the truth.
"Then you shall take us to the road where you left the Knights and my sons." Bronze Yohn regained his composure and demanded the man.
"What exactly would I gain by doing that?" In an act of pure and complete stupidity, the Shepherd tried to snatch something out of this situation.
Predictably, his response was getting punched in the gut by the Lord of Runestone. "You will receive the blessing of keeping that empty head of yours where it is!" That was his response as the Shepherd fell to his knees after the punch. "Now, get up!" Bronze Yohn angrily grabbed the man by the collar and dragged him towards the door.
The Knights followed behind their Lord, with Raziel simply standing there. Looking around the home of the boy he killed. Which made him wonder where the Shepherd buried the boy. Well, I got nothing better to do... Raziel thought as he moved towards the door as well. Stepping outside of the ugly shack once again, the Prince observed as Bronze Yohn argued with the Shepherd about the location of the spot where he left the Hedge Knights had his sons captives. Looking around for a bit, he decided to take a look around the place.
Taking a few steps to the left, he moved around the corner in order to reach the backside of the shack. Once he did, he came across a large grass field with no sign of sheeps. Can you even call yourself a shepherd if you don't own any sheeps? Raziel asked himself. Was the sheep I ate the only one you had? Now that he thought about it, that would explain why the boy was so angry when Artys killed the sheep. The boy scratched his black hair as he searched for the spot where the boy he killed was buried. "Mmm..." Eventually, he found a spot that was clearly dug.
Approaching it, Raziel decided to pay his respects. "I am truly sorr-" The moment he stood in front of it, he decided to apologize. But stopped halfway because he didn't want to lie. "Actually, no, I am not sorry at all." The truth is, he enjoyed it. "The worst part is that , I would have paid a good amount of coin as compensation for that sheep, but you decided to attack me instead." That was the most ironic part. "So, may the worms feast on your filthy flesh." That was the last thing that Raziel said before he smiled and spit on the grave where the boy was buried.
Before he could turn around and move back to where the others were, he noticed something else in that area. A few steps away from the grave, there was another spot that seemed to have been dug. Approaching it, Raziel noticed that it seemed to be another grave. Wait, is someone else buried here? The Prince asked himself as he noticed that both graves seemed to be identical.
Confused with the second grave, he decided to ask who else was buried there. So he turned around and made his way back to the front of the house. Where he noticed that Bronze Yohn was yelling angrily at the man.
"I don't know." The Shepherd continued to deny knowing the location where he left the Hedge Knights and Bronze Yohn's sons.
"Don't give me that!" Bronze Yohn rebuffed angrily. "I swear that the only thing keeping me from beheading you myself is the fact that you know where my sons are, so start talking!"
"M'lord, I- '' Before the Shepherd could continue with his excuses. Raziel approached and interrupted him.
"Excuse me?" Raziel decided to call his attention. "Who else is buried behind your home?" He asked the Shepherd in curiosity as he pointed at the direction of the grave.
Both men looked at the Prince in confusion, though the Shepherd made a strange looking face after he asked.
"What do you mean, my Prince?" Bronze Yohn asked him in confusion.
"I went to spit on the grave of the boy I killed and realized that there was another grave next to his." Bronze Yohn and the Knights looked at him with shocked faces after he said that he spit on Shepherd's son's grave. "Who else is buried on the back?"
"Ummm..." The man seemed to be nervous after receiving that question. Which was something that everyone noticed. "It's my wife." The man replied while avoiding looking at them.
"No, it isn't." Raziel was quick to point out. "You don't have a wife." When he and Jon came to offer him compensation for what Raziel did to his son, Jon asked about the boy's mother and the Shepherd just scoffed in response. Then Raziel observed a detail that stood out about the man. "You know, it is a little odd that the only thing about your outfit that isn't worn-out are the boots." He just couldn't overlook that. "Would you kindly tell me where exactly you bought them?"
Bronze Yohn and the Knights moved their heads to look at the Shepherd, only now realizing that he was wearing fine looking boots.
"I... ummm... I got them at Gulltown, M'Prince." Everyone noticed that the Shepherd seemed nervous.
"Those are fine looking boots that only a noble would be able to afford." Bronze Yohn decided to join the conversation. "I don't know how much you were paid by that bastard, but I can tell that it wasn't enough to afford that." With that, the Lord of Runestone grabbed him by the neck once again. "If these boots belong to one of my sons, I will -" Before he could finish that sentence, the old man widened his eyes. "No..."
It took less than a second for Raziel to realize what he was probably thinking. "Oh no..."
"The grave on the back of the shack, see who is buried there." Bronze Yohn ordered the Knights. "Now!" He raised his voice to rush the Knights.
The Knights immediately made their way to the grave in order to check who was buried next to the Shepherd's son.
The Prince could only touch his face in frustration because he is pretty certain that it is who they think it is. "Unless you want to end up like your son, I suggest that you confess." Raziel told the Shepherd as Bronze Yohn was visibly restraining himself to not slaughter the man.
"I-I don't -" The Shepherd made a futile attempt to deny it, but they were having none of it.
"Sandor, gouge his eyes out." Raziel ordered his sworn-shield. Who stepped forward to fulfill the order, with the Shepherd making a terrified expression as the Hound closes the distance.
"T-the boy managed to break free!" He finally said it.
"What did you say?!" Bronze Yohn's voice increased as did his hold of the man's neck.
"The younger one, he managed to break free and kill one of the Knights." The younger one that he is referring to was probably Waymar Royce, the third and youngest son of Lord Royce. "The other three overwhelmed him." The moment he said that, Bronze Yohn pushed the man into the ground and immediately rushed towards the back of the shack. Leaving Raizel and Sandor alone with the Shepherd.
Raziel closed his eyes and waited.
...
...
...
...
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" A loud scream of grief came from behind the shack. It was definitely coming from Bronze Yohn, confirming what they feared.
Opening his blue eyes after hearing the scream, the boy only had one thing to say. "The older one, what happened to him?" Raziel was referring to Ser Robar Royce. The Shepherd opens his mouth to respond but is interrupted. "If you say "I don't know", then there is absolutely no reason for you to be alive and I will have my sworn-shield chop your arms and legs off with his axe." Sandor heard that and immediately pulled out his axe. The Shepherd was clearly terrified of the scarred man.
"After I made the Shepherd talk, Bronze Yohn personally executed the man for aiding in the abduction of his sons." Raziel explained.
Once the Shepherd told them what had happened to Robar Royce. Bronze Yohn had the Shepherd handed on the nearest tree that they could find. The fool kept begging saying that the Hedge Knights threaded him and forced him to get rid of the body, but Bronze Yohn had none of it. Then they took the body of Waymar Royce back to the Gates of the Moon.
"That is so sad..." Mya thought as she looked through the window.
Mya and Raziel were both inside of the room that he has resigned in since his arrival, with the two of them looking through the window where they saw Bronze Yohn, Andar Royce and Robyn Arryn, mourning the loss of Waymar, as they stood next to his corpse. Waymar was killed by being stabbed multiple times by what appeared to be daggers. He clearly fought, but not well enough.
"It is..." Raziel replied as he observed them. Jon is going to be really upset. He thought as Jon was investigating their disappearance and will probably blame himself for not uncovering their location sooner.
"What about the other one that is missing?" Mya, who was sitting down on a chair, asked.
"The Shepherd said that he was taken to Wickenden." The seat of House Waxley. The town is on the northern shore of the Bay of Crabs, northwest of Crackclaw Point. It is famous for making scented beeswax candles, which Raziel is quite fond of. We still have no idea why, but Bronze Yohn will make his way there as soon as the preparations are ready." It honestly made no sense to Raziel, since there's no way that they can get away with this now that Waymar Royce was killed. Unless... But then he was able to actually think of an explanation. The Hedge Knights were paid to take the two and since Waymar broke free and tried to fight... The remaining Hedge Knights will probably try to blame Waymar's death on the knight that he killed. But the reason why they were being taken to Wickenden was still a mystery.
From above, the two of them actually saw Robyn cry over his uncle's corpse. Which made Raziel upset, despite considering Robyn to be quite annoying, he viewed him as a good friend. Jon will definitely be quite upset when he finds out as well.
The Prince sighed before he reached to grab a cup of goat milk that was on top of the table. "How is your ankle?" He decided to change the subject.
"Still hurts, but not as much anymore." Mya replied as she lifted her injured foot up to demonstrate. "Did Muddy like that apple?"
"He loved it." Considering that he made a happy sound after he gave it to him. "You know, I never th-" Before Raziel could continue, he was interrupted by the sound of a roar. "Finally." He spoke before moving towards the door.
"What?" Mya asked in confusion.
Raziel opened the door of the room and peaked to the left, where he saw a terrified servant walking next to his beloved pet. "Symeon!" He squealed happily when he saw his Hrakkar.
The Hrakkar roared happily and immediately charged towards Raziel. With the boy opening his arm widely and hugging his pet. Waving at the servant to go away, which he gladly did.
"I missed you..." He told his pet as he hugged him tightly.
"This is Symeon?" Mya limped towards the door and approached the boy and the Hrakkar.
"Yes." Raziel moved his blue eyes to look at Mya. "Symeon, this is-" Before Raziel could introduce his Mya to him, Hrakkar wastes no time in launching himself towards the girl.
"Hahahaha..." Only for Mya to laugh as Symeon licked her face.
"He likes you already." Raziel commented with a smile after seeing that.
"As do I." Mya replied as she caressed Symeon's fur with a smile.
Raziel then kneeled down and caressed his fur alongside Mya.
The two spent the rest of the evening enjoying the company of his pet.
Jon Arryn:
"Despite my visible reluctance," The Hand of the King stood up from his seat slowly. "This is something that must be done."
"You don't necessarily need to take such drastic action, my Lord." Lord Baelish spoke in response.
Currently, Jon Arryn was inside of his chambers at the company of Petyr Baelish. The two men were discussing how they should proceed with the matters regarding House Grafton . After an extensive investigation, Jon was able to discover a considerable number of deals that were done by Lord Grafton, where he would allow smugglers to sell their illicit goods at Gulltown by a conspicuous amount which he receives a good part of. Practically embezzling the coin that belongs to the crown and keeping it for himself while simultaneously allowing illicit trade to occur freely. Crimes that were completely unacceptable, which Jon had to do something about.
He was still completely unsure of what exactly Yohn Royce's sons had to do with that situation, but that was a different matter entirely.
"What else is there to do?" Jon asked in confusion. "Despite being unsure of the value of some of these items, I am certain that the total amount is the equivalent of five years of taxes." The Knights that were under Jon's services disguised themselves as buyers, taking notes of every single item that were sold. Jon made the proper calculations and was surprised by the amount that the illicit trade made.
"Not exactly what I meant." Lord Baelish, who was sitting on a chair in front of the table, replied . "I simply don't think that confronting Lord Grayford directly is a good idea."
Of that Jon agreed. "It is not, but unfortunately, I suspect that Lord Grafton is already aware of this investigation." One of the Knights actually saw one of the smugglers speaking to Lord Grayford in the port, which leads Jon to believe that he at least suspects of the investigation. "So the longer I take, the more of a chance he will have to escape justice." He wouldn't be surprised if he was planning on fleeing Gulltown to escape punishment, which is why Jon placed his man to keep watch around possible routes that he could use to escape.
"Indeed, he does." Petyr spoke in an affirmative manner.
But the way he spoke made Jon suspect something. "Lord Baelish, what exactly do you mean by that?"
"You see, I may have insisted to Lord Grafton that the Hand of the King was suspecting of something illicit happening in Gulltown." They spoke with a strange smile that Jon could tell was quite insincere.
His mouth may have been smiling, but his eyes weren't. That was Jon's observation. "And I assume that you didn't jeopardize this entire matter over nothing."
"Indeed, I did not." Lord Baelish crossed his legs. "Lord Grafton will be meeting me in the property where we had our first meeting under the guise that I am actually aiding him in exchange for a portion of the profits."
Hearing that made Jon think carefully. He would be away from his keep and I could place him under arrest... He considered the possibility carefully. I don't really trust Petyr Baelish, there's something about the individual that makes my skin crawl, but he has been nothing but helpful in this matter. Which is the main. reason why Jon has been giving him the benefit of the doubt.
After some careful consideration. Jon made a decision. "When will this meeting occur?"
Raziel Baratheon:
"Wait, are you serious?" Mya asked in clear disbelief.
"It is true." Raziel confirmed.
Raziel, Mya and a few others were standing in the middle of the courtyard, where the armor that supposedly belonged to the Winged Knight was on display for everyone to see.
"Look, I'm gonna show you." Raziel was holding his dragonbone bow, and he signalled her to step back.
Standing at a considerable distance, Raziel prepared his bow and aimed at the armor. With several other archers joining him and preparing to shoot at the armor at his command.
Everyone, including the archers, were clearly confused and wondered what was the purpose of shooting arrows in an empty armor on display.
"Ready..." Raziel spoke. "Loose!"
With that, Raziel and the archers fired at the armor. And the result was everyone, except for Raziel, being surprised by the fact that not a single arrow landed on the armor. With each arrow either passing by it or falling in front of it. Once all the arrows were shot, all of the archers made confused expressions as they didn't understand how exactly they missed.
"You weren't kidding." Mya pointed out in surprise.
"No." Raziel replied with a smile.
The Prince then stepped forward and stood in front of all of the archers. Where he pulled out his Valyrian steel dagger. "You all must be asking yourselves how exactly you all missed, the answer is quite simple." He then tossed the dagger towards the armor, only for the knife to be pushed away the moment it got close enough. "The answer is that, despite it being a considerably weak armor, it possessed a very interesting quality." He approached and retrieved his dagger, and held it in front of the armor before letting it go. Only for the dagger to get launched away from the armor. "It seems to repel certain kinds of metal." Retrieving his dagger and placing it back on his sheath, the Prince continued with the explanation. "Iron, Cobalt, Steel and a few others." The boy then lifted his index finger. "However..." He picked one of the arrows that fell in front of the armor. Placing on his both and shooting once again at the armor, only that this time, it hit perfectly. "It doesn't work so well while at close range."
The archers were visibly impressed by the feet either way. Not that Raziel can blame them, since the usefulness of an armor that can deflect arrows coming your way is something beyond amazing. Especially since several great warriors fell from an arrow that killed them from afar. That mixed with that strange device that could slow your descent from the sky only added to his amazement. If those remains indeed belonged to the Winged Knight, he must have been some sort of genius. Making it even more impressive since this is from a much more primitive time.
"What are you going to do with that armor?" Mya, who had approached him while he was thinking, asked.
"I was thinking about melting it and reforging it into something else." The armor itself is pretty useless, the only thing making it worthwhile is this uncanny ability to repel metals.
"But... Can you actually do that?" Mya asked while looking at the armor that had an arrow stuck in it. "Doesn't it belong to House Arryn?" She asked that since there is the common misconception that the founder of House Arryn was actually the Winged Knight, but that's mostly speculation with no actual bases to prove it.
"I already gave the remains up for research," Raziel pointed out. "Besides, I found it, so it's mine." The Prince then smiled before wrapping his arm around Mya. "Which is funny, because you were the one that I was actually trying to find."
Mya blushed a bit in response to that. "Don't even think about it."
Raziel made a confused face. "What?"
"You know what." Mya signalled towards the Archers, who seemed to be discussing the supposed Winged Knight's armor.
"Oh..." Raziel understood.
So he did it anyway and gave Mya a quick chaste kiss on the lips. Causing the girl to look at him angrily despite the fact that no one paid attention to it.
"I just love kissing you." He confessed while placing his head on her shoulder, causing the girl to blush even more.
"Idiot." She replied while caressing his black hair. "What are you going to turn the armor into?" The black haired girl asked in curiosity.
"I was thinking ab-" Before Raziel could answer the question, he was interrupted by someone calling him.
"Excuse me, my Prince." It was the Keeper of the Gates of the Moon.
"Yes, Ser Nestor." Nestor Royce technically is also called Lord Royce, but in order to not confuse him and Bronze Yohn, the Prince simply calls him Ser Nestor.
"A letter from the Hand of the King addressed to you has arrived." Ser Nestor informed him.
He extended his hand for the letter. "Actually, a servant has taken the letter to your chambers, I simply came here to inform you." Nestor clarified to him, before bowing and turning around. "All of you, return to practice!" He ordered all of the archers.
All of them immediately scattered around to return to their training.
Raziel sighed. "I'm gonna go see what is on the letter." He informed Mya.
"I'm gonna go bathe Muddy." Mya replied in clear annoyance.
"You mean try to bathe Muddy." He pointed out in amusement because Muddy never had a bath without a fight.
"Try?" Mya folded her arms and smirked. "I always win." It was true, Muddy always lost during their bathing battles.
"Not without a considerable amount of struggle." Raziel commented in amusement.
Before making his way back to his quarters, Raziel got on his tip toes and kissed Mya on the lips, an open mouthed kiss with his tongue entering her mouth.
"Seriously?" Mya asked in clear annoyance.
"There is no one around anymore." Nestor Royce and the archers were all gone.
"It's embarrassing." Mya folded her arms and blushed.
"Fine," Raziel decided to just not insist. "I won't kiss you in public anymore, but I get to kiss you as much as I want when we're alone." Those were his terms.
"Deal." Mya accepted with a smile.
Raziel smiled back , before he proceeded to make his way to his chambers.
Bronze Yohn left a few hours ago to make his way to Wickenden. Robyn and his uncle are incredibly sad with the death of Waymar Royce. I don't know whether Jon was informed of it yet. They are simply waiting for Bronze Yohn's return to take the body back to Runestone.
Raziel thought about that whole mess as he reached the door of his chambers. Opening the door right away, the boy with black hair made his way to the table. Passing by his beloved pet, who was sleeping on top of his bed. He could see the letter on top of it, and he wasted no time in sitting down to read it.
Dear Raziel.
I decided to write you this letter simply to express how incredibly frustrated I am.
You cannot put yourself in this kind of danger. I am perfectly aware that you are very capable, but even the most capable man can fall due to unfortunate circumstances. And I sincerely don't want to add you to the list of loved ones that I have already outlived, which is much longer than any man would like.
I am not angry at you, but you are the closest thing to a grandson that I have in this life and my old heart certainly cannot take another loss.
Also, Lord Royce informed me that the reason why you went into that cave was to rescue Mya Stone.
I apologize for not telling you sooner, but I simply thought that it would be better for you to establish yourself in the Vale first. I know you well enough to know that you would want to spend every possible second with her.
You probably have questions, but I would rather answer them personally.
My only request is that; If Mya Stone is still unaware of the fact that you two are brother and sister, please do not tell her yet. I will explain why as soon as I return.
Yours faithfully,
Jon Arryn

"WHAT THE FUCK!?" That was Raziel's only response to what he had just read.
Q and A:
So when it does come to Raziel's coronation and him having all the hallmarks of Targaryen power ie at least Darksister, Aegon the Conquerors crown and a Dragon when it comes to who places the crown on his head to really keep hammering home how Raziel is in a way a continuation of both Baratheon and a bit of Targaryen rule have Dany and Rhaenys be the ones to jointly place the crown on his head as further symbolism that House Targaryen has submitted fully to Raziel sure seeing the two 100% confirmed Targaryens of the main line crowning him would be quite the show
I mean really the only way a bigger spectacle of Targaryen submission to Raziel could be made would be if Raziel sat on the Iron Throne and Dany and Rhaenys had golden slave collars on that had leads Raziel was holding and where dressed in the skimpiest bed slave clothes you could imagine
Hm could have a scenario like that in the bedroom though haha
But back to the coronation while Dany and Rhaenys place the crown on his head when it comes to who conducts the ceremony I can see Raziel having Melisandre conduct it over the Fat High Septon I mean I think by that point Raziel would know he would have to deal with some kind of issue with the Faith by that point due to his tolerance and acceptance of other religions spreading in Westros so really him having Melisandre in place of the High Septon could be him prodding certain factions in the faith
To be honest with the Faith I don't see it being the entire Faith of the Seven that Raziel will deal with I can see it mostly being a extreme wing of it ie the Sparrows I don't see them forming due to the devastation of war like in canon or maybe a bit due to it depending on if Raziel has to deal with them before or after he deals with Aegon and Viserys anyway I see them forming mostly as a response to Raziel's tolerance of other faiths
Also in response to Raziel himself don't imagine the hardline members of the faith would like hearing the followers of the old gods from the North whispering Raziel is a Warg due to all the beasts around him nor the Ironborn coming up with stories when they see Raziel interact with Krackens and maybe Leviathans to just don't think the Sparrows would appreciate their King being of such significants to other faiths you know the old god followers naming him a Warg and the Drowned God followers debating if he's the son of the Drowned or Storm God haha
So unlike in canon where the Sparrows became the whole official faith and the High Sparrow was the official High Septon and they legally could reform the Faith Militant in this I can see the High Sparrow being a self proclaimed High Septon recognised only by the Sparrows and the Poor Fellows and Warriors Sons both not having as many members as when they reform in canon due to still being illegal for the faith to bare arms
Could see Raziel having a bit of fun denouncing the Sparrows because they are clearly breaking Maegor laws plus if Raziel does delve into magic could be fun if he is able to send visions and he could send a vision to the High Sparrow where he sees Raziel at first in a black and gold Septon outfit with a gold staff standing before the Seven who are all kneeling before him as if to say the Seven support Raziel over him
Then to really fuck with the High Sparrow he could see the Mother and the Maiden strip themselves and Raziel and then he sees Raziel fuck both the Mother and Maiden just one thing Raziel could do to torment the High Sparrow who could for a second see how most I hope could see Raziel in abstract visions that being a man made from shadow and flame with a lions mane made of fire, stags antlers, dragons tail and lighting eyes maybe throw a crown of ice to haha
Actually do hope Raziel learns to send visions because he could have some real fun fucking with his enemies heads just think of what he could send to Aegon for example haha
Something I've been meaning to mention is when Raziel goes North of the wall and you know gets Val as a lover and comes to realise he has to get the free folk south at some point but make them kneel and give up their ways of life to do so etc since the environment north of the wall isn't suited to Horses hope Raziel takes to riding around on a Great Stag like Coldhands does and a Mammoth
Actually he could also take to riding around on Symeon again hope his Hrakkar grows to a size where he's larger than the Direwolves
Also I imagine Varamyr will look apon Raziel's giant ass lion, majestic eagle and possibly red furred Direwolf and try's warg into them what I hope happens is because each beast has such a strong bond to Raziel Varamyr gets the psychic equivalent of hitting a brick wall and getting set on fire when he tries to warg into one of them
Raziel then in turn gentle slips into Varamyrs poor snow bear and has her fling Varamyr off her back and kill him before he can warg into one of his wolves to get a second life
Oh and if we ever get Loras talking to his family about his experience in the Kingsguard can see him grumbling that while his new "brothers" have all welcomed warmly each one has made a subtle warning to him if he ever put his feelings for Renly above his loyalty to Raziel and also maybe grumbling a bit over how it's a open secret that Raziel will absolutely name Ser Jon Snow the White Wolf as his next Lord Commander
Another topic I've e been meaning to breach is Euron and hope in this we have one of two things happen one is Euron dies laughing during Raziel's time sailing with the Greyjoys or in this world Euron is something like a worshipper of Raziel say Euron saw visions regarding Raziel due to drinking his shade of the evening and unlike in canon where Euron seems to want to become a God himself he sees Raziel as something akin to a God
Another good Chapter
His coronation will be a painfully bleak affair and that's all I can say.
The sparrows will only play a minor role, mostly a minor antagonist that Raziel has to waste his time dealing with it. (Raziel is an Atheist, but he has some minor believe in the Lord of Light despite not really thinking that it's a god.)
Sadly, his relationship with the freefolk can be describe as Frenemies at best.
No... It will only be slightly larger than a direwolf.
That's an interesting idea.
There will actually be a scene like that between him and Margaery.
Not quite but close enough.
Thanks.
Obrigado pelo capítulo incrível Autor-San!
De nada.
Ha nice little classic fairy tail reference with Raziel waking Mya up with a kiss very sweet scene with Mya seemingly now fully understanding how much Raziel cares for her and with his statement of marrying her well Raziel's thinking to himself likely that a rule was never set in stone that a King on the Iron Throne couldn't have more than one wife
The mutual finger sucking at the end was just a tad weird should have just had Mya suck on his fingers
No surprise Jon Arryn is getting a headache from this mess with the Graftons and Bronze Yohn sons also knew that shepard was a idiot but this is something else now
Here's what the Maesters are going to do with the remains of the winged night or what should happen really they'll get it set it up at the citadel and stare at it, stare at it some more then think to themselves they have no idea what the fuck they are doing haha so by the time Raziel gets to Oldtown and sees they aren't so much as studying the remains more they've just made a decoration out of it he will have them send it back to the Vale to be displayed their
Love that despite being so young Lords Royce and Redford heed Raziel's authority as crown Prince and he has no problem commanding such lords going to be fun seeing the reactions of his friends seeing Raziel so easily command any lord
Well needless to say do hope you go with Raziel getting his swords and Dragon egg when he's next back in Kingslanding thanks to the Seastar leaving them for him that way he can carry them with him from then on meaning we get a ton of time with Raziel using Darksister and Storm Queen as his primary weapons and his egg can hatch and the Dragon can have plenty of time to grow to a good size in time for when Raziel would need him for battle perhaps with the free range it's given and all the food it could want and hunt it could be the size of Meleys by the time Raziel needs it for war
But yeah it just makes sense to me that when it comes to Raziel and Daegon's dragons that instead of them both having dragons they've hatched from eggs that Raziel is the one to hatch his dragon while Daegon claims a grown dragon ie Vhagar
So with the Martells then as much as this pains me to say then given they are probably the hosts I'm most eager to see Raziel with I suggest having them be the second to last family that host him before his progress ends with the Starks so Raziel will be what 14 to 15 when he's with them
Anyway glad you do like the idea that the Martells kept Aegons crown you could say to they didn't give it to Daeron the Good because well they didn't know how things would pan out at the time and that Rhaegar frequently asked for the crown but Doran never gave it to him
Hence why I love this idea that Arianne and Oberyn and well everyone in Dorne who's been charmed by Raziel pester or ask Doran to give the crown to Raziel and the Martells that like Raziel make a big show of them presenting the Crown to Raziel at a feast ie Oberyn calls for everyone's attention and Arianne walks up to the table Raziel is sat at and presents him with the conquerors crown
So since Raziel will have to go North after his time with the Martells hope you have it then that Arianne, Oberyn, the Sand Snakes, Ellaria and of course Rhaenys all join him on his trip back to Kingslanding where they stay for the month then when Raziel heads North they go back to Dorne after enjoying their fill of Raziel for the month haha
Thought about this some more to and I really think for the year with the Martells Sandor should be left behind in Kingslanding so for that year Brienne gets to act as Raziel's sole sworn shield after all Sandor gets to enjoy all the time as Raziel's sole sworn shield before the Stormlands so let Brienne enjoy a year as his sole shield
With getting Loras in the Kingsguard to I can picture Raziel even if he knows he's going to add him to the order somewhat jokingly asking Margaery if there's anyway she can further convince him and he definitely jokingly says he's going to add Loras anyway because he doesn't want Olenna to badger him about making Loras a Kingsguard
As for Alayne it's funny because I picture her still being a effective Lady Paramount of the Riverlands or very least Lady of Harrenhall but in terms of importance to her ruling her domain isn't nearly as importance as serving Raziel as his mistress of whispers like when it comes to the time of day she dedicates to work she spends like half an hour if that on her domain the rest of the time spent on her spy master job yet despite the little focus she gives it she still rules the Riverlands well
Also with the Danelle comparison could see alongside being known as Alayne the Shadowcat and other epithets some would call her Mad Alayne Whent/Tully
But yeah in order of importance to Alayne I see it as being Raziel's happiness and pleasure first, her Shadowcat second, her role as his mistress of whispers third, the friends she does make in the harem and her hand maids Roslin, Amerei and Bethany Blackwood fourth then finally her lands
Not exactly what I was aiming for but interesting observation.
It's a weird gesture that they developed.
Pretty much.
That would be funny.
That's an trade that he inherited from Tywin.
Like I said, Raziel will have two swords. A one handed sword and a greatsword.
Kind-off...
Dorne will be the second last place that he will stay. (Before the North.) Yes, he will be 14 during his stay with the Martells and 15 during his stay with the Starks.
Yeah...
Actually, something else is going to happen that is similiar to that but not quite.
Unfortunately, Doran doesn't allow it and he has to say goodbye to them right there. (Mostly Arianne and the Sand Snakes.)
Raziel actually thinks the same thing, but Sandor personally doesn't give a fuck.
You literally predicted.
She's as effective as her father and that's all that I'm going to say.
Pretty much.
Yup...
Heeeyyy love the chapter however I HAVE TO say that I miss Cersei and her toxic relationship with Raziel lol. Will he actually get pregnant with her second prophesied child? Like could we get some more preview of their forbidden bedroom tales?
No more previews, they take too much of the chapter length. Don't worry, their toxic relationship will return soon.
I honestly like Cersei she has her flaws being arrogant and thinking she's very smart but she's not the worst character I don't know why she gets so much hate, despite being weird I like the incestuous relationship between Cersei and the MC
Because she did a lot of nasty shit like ordering two twins that Robert sired to be drowned and their mother sold to slavery simply because he knocked the woman up in Casterly Rock. Their relationship is supposed to be disturbing, it's a mother molesting her own child due to a completely narcissistic attraction.
