At Home, Later that Same Day:
Theo's POV:
"You suspect they were a part of a yakuza gang of sorts?" Yasaka asked and I nodded, Rossweisse thankfully sipping on a cup of tea as we once again sat in the tower.
"The possibility does exists, but they might take a while to find me since the bodies aren't recognizable at all. That's unless they have any rogue Shinto priests working for them, which would be a bit annoying to take care of." She nodded before Rossweisse spoke.
"Should I place runes around the house just in case?" I mulled over the thought before I nodded.
"Better to be over-prepared than be under-prepared. Make sure the runes are hidden well where any potential priests would be unable to see them. Also, put tracking runes on all four of us just in the unlikely event they try to kidnap one of us" She nodded and I turned to Yasaka.
"How many of your clones can you make that won't be detrimental to you or distract you during the day?"
"About 5." I smiled and nodded.
"Make one clone that will protect the house while we're not here and another to make sure they don't place any sort of bombs on the car. If you can make one more clone, make another to monitor the school grounds when we're there during the day." She nodded and I sighed.
"I'll keep Hydro-Seismic sense active throughout the day and focus on the entire city. We'll might need to inform the Devils of them, but I'm pretty sure they know about it and want to stay out of it." I muttered as I took another sip from the whiskey in my glass, Yasaka drinking her wine down in one gulp before pouring another glass as Rossweisse just drank her tea.
"Thank you for protecting Kunou again." Yasaka said as she began drinking from her wine again.
"Like I said, it's my pleasure." She just giggled as she sipped from her glass.
"I forgot to ask before. How are your classes going so far?" I asked and Yasaka shrugged.
"Other than the Gremory girl being slightly afraid of me since our meeting, my classes are going along swimmingly."
"The same with me. The peerage Devils were scared at first, but after a few meetings, their fear disappeared and now they're no longer afraid. What about you? How's the Soccer Club and your classes?" Rossweisse asked with a smile and I chuckled.
"It's going good so far. The classes are just physical work and mostly, it's just tournaments between the classes. With the Football Club, I've just taken notes of their teamwork and formations, so now, I just have to create new individual training regimes for each of them and give the training programs to them tomorrow." I said and she nodded as she took another sip before she shivered as a cold wind blew through the tower.
"I think that's enough night air for me. I don't want another hangover to deal with." She said as she gave Yasaka a stare, who just giggled as she sipped from her wine.
"Of course. Good night."
"Good night." She said as she walked back down the stairs of the tower to her room, leaving Yasaka and I sitting alone. I turned my head to give her a stare, which she noticed as she raised an eyebrow.
"Am I that irresistible?" She asked, her teasing smile on.
"Indeed you are, but I was wondering if you're going to bed as well."
"Clone, remember? Also, are you that bored of me already?"
"Not at all." I said and she giggled as she scooted closer, leaning her head on my shoulder and I chuckled as I wrapped my arm around her waist, finishing off my whiskey.
"We're like an old married couple." She whispered and I chuckled.
"Let's hope Kunou doesn't find out about our nightly adventures or I'm getting whacked on the arm again." I said and she giggled, sighing as she leaned against me while we stared out into the city.
The Next Day, Afternoon:
"Okay, team! Here are your training regimes! Once you've analysed them, follow them to the letter. It has everything scheduled for you to make you all the best team you can be! Wash time, sleeping time, studying time and training time! Everything must be followed or that training regime is as good as useless! Am I understood?!" I don't know why I was shouting, but acting like a drill sergeant was fun, so that's the role I'm taking.
"Um, sensei?" I heard a voice ask, looking up to see the centre forward raise her hand.
"Yes, uh…Yamada right?" She nodded and I smiled, gesturing for her to speak.
"Are you 100% certain that this regimes would really help us become the best in the country?"
"I never said you would become the best in the country. I just said you would become the best you…you can be. However, if you're still uncertain, I followed the same program and you girls have seen how good I am with a ball. I've done all I can to help you girls individually. Now, I need you girls to do your parts and help me help you work on your teamwork and your combinations. Okay?" I asked with a smile and she nodded happily, with me chuckling as I nodded.
"Good. Now, like I said yesterday, today is a day off, so you girls are free to go home. See you all tomorrow."
"Bye, coach!" They greeted as they walked towards the exit of the field, with me staying on the field as I waited for all of them to leave the field and the school before I spoke out loud.
"You can come out now." I waited until they wanted to reveal themselves, but I let out a sigh as they stayed hidden under their invisibility spells, slowly trying to get closer.
Fine, have it your way.
Before they could communicate with each other and run away, I raised a hand, a light green aura covering my hand and the numerous invisible individuals around me.
"From one professional to another, if you do not have any concrete information on your opponent or their abilities, it's better to use modern technology to spy on them from afar instead of being overconfident and putting too much hope on your mediocre abilities." I said with a smirk as I send out a pulse of magic, the magic disabling their invisibilities and revealing women dressed in form fitting black bodysuit and black blank masks hiding their faces from view. with one standing out as she had a red bodysuit with a black rose on her chest and wearing a unique, snarling black oni mask.
"So…are you the group sent to take care of me after I took care of your men yesterday?" I asked, with none answering as they kept silent. They couldn't move since I was stopping them from doing so, but I assume they had created a special code between each other that they only need their magic for since I could feel their mana pulse in some sort of morse-code.
I sighed once again as I raised another arm, pulling another invisible being towards me from where they were sitting in a tree near the field before snapping my fingers. The invisibility disappeared to reveal a man dressed in a black suit and a sniper rifle hanging on his shoulder as he glared at me.
"Yakuza, huh? I really know how to mess with the wrong people, don't I?" I muttered as I stared at the tattoo on the left side of his neck.
"I'm going to let you all go and I want your friend that was sitting next to you to come out. I'm sure we can talk this out without me killing every Yakuza in the city and dyeing the city red with your blood." I said with a smile, the man sweating as he stared at me for a few seconds before nodding.
"Great!" I cheered as I released my spell, the women jumping back instantly to circle me as the man sighed before waving his hand. I looked up to the trees to see a man dressed in a black suit walking out of the forest, a katana and a wakizashi tied to the left side of his waist. He gave the first man a concerned glance, but the first man just nodded and he nodded before turning back to glaring at me.
"Ah, right. Introductions. I'm Theodore Richards, or Richards Theodore since my surname is Richards, and I'm the P.E. teacher for the entire High School Division of Kuoh Academy. Now you guys." The two men and the woman in the crimson bodysuit gave each other glances before the two men nodded and the woman sighed.
"I'm Rose, the leader of the assassination group Black Rose."
"I'm Kiryu, the right hand man of the leader of the Demon Dragons of Kuoh." The man with the katana said, his long brown hair tied into a ponytail as his light brown eyes stared at me.
"I'm Kazuma, the left hand man of the leader." The other man said as he adjusted his rifle to sit more comfortably on his back, his black hair cut short and his black eyes flitting between me and his partner.
"Pleasure to meet you all. So…can I ask why I'm being attacked by assassins?" I asked with a smile, water condensing below me before it formed into a solid chair as I sat down on it with a smile.
"…You're very calm for a man that has numerous assassins around him." Kiryu was the first to snap out of his shock and I chuckled.
"Firstly, assassins are a bit lacklustre and boring compared to the devils, angels, dragons, vampires, werewolves and other mythical beasts I've fought" I said, my smile still on as they stared at me warily
"Secondly, I could kill all of you, your leader and your entire gang all by myself."
"Oh really?" Kazuma asked with a sceptical look on his face and I chuckled lowly, a blue barrier encompassing the entire field before I looked up with my eyes glowing a bright crimson. A thick, purple miasma radiated off me and crawled across the ground, moving around the assassins and the two men as it stretched to cover the entire field before it disappeared as it seeped into the ground. The air was silent as they waited for something to happen before they lowered their guard.
"…What was that suppose-!" Rose was cut off as a decayed hand came out of the ground, its flesh purple and barely hanging on as it pressed on the ground before it pulled itself out of the ground. A literal decayed human/ zombie crawled out of the ground as it growled lowly, pulling a large greatsword out with it as a rusty helmet was on its head. It was not the only one as dozens upon dozens of zombies crawled out of the ground, each clad in a piece of armour and a different in their grasp. It was not long before they were surrounded by an army of zombies while also locked with me inside the barrier.
Uncle Hades would be so proud.
"You were saying?" I asked Kazuma with a raised eyebrow, petting the two decomposing zombie tigers sitting next to me as my chair had transformed into a throne. None of them dared to move or speak as the zombies growled before I raised a fist, silencing them all.
"Like I said, I could have just killed all of you, but I don't want to shed unnecessary blood, so here's my proposition. This is my address. Give it to your leader and ask him to come meet me there today. He can bring as many men as he want with him to the building as security. Just make sure they are able to respect me and the people in my home or I'll teach them respect, alright?" I said as I held out a card, Kiryu taking it slowly and I smiled before walking away. Snapping my fingers, the barrier around us dissipated and the zombies were swallowed once again by the ground.
"…Why did he have to be hot?" I chuckled as I heard Rose's muttered words before my green magic circle appeared under me and I disappeared in a bright green flash.
Later that Day, Evening:
"I believe you are the leader of the Demon Dragons as you call yourselves?" I said as I stared at the man dressed in a white suit, his black hair slicked back and his brown eyes staring at me before looking at Yasaka and Rossweisse standing on both sides of me. Kunou was hidden in her and Yasaka's room along with five of Yasaka's clones keeping her busy and protecting her from any that try to kidnap her during the meeting.
"And you're the man who killed five of my grunts and who threatened someone who is a sister to me?" The man asked as he glanced back at me.
"Indeed I am. Please, come in." I said as Yasaka and Rossweisse walked back to the house, the man along with Kiryu, Kazuma, Rose and a dozen other grunts walking in as I closed the gate behind the last man before gesturing for them to follow. Walking through the hallways, we reached the meeting room and I gestured for him to sit down, sitting down on the opposite side next to him as Yasaka sat down on my right and Rossweisse sat down on my left. Kiryu sat down on his immediate right and Kazuma on his immediate left with Rose next to Kiryu. His men walked to stand near the walls, covering the exits and being near enough to protect any of them.
"You never told Kiryu that you had a harem." I chuckled as Rossweisse flushed red and Yasaka giggled, none of us denying it.
"I didn't think it would be necessary information for you to know." I said with a shrug and he hummed, glancing at both women.
"Wasn't it better to hide them away from me? I know their faces, so who knows what will happen to them?" I just gave an amused smirk, but that didn't stop all of them from paling as they felt the daggers made out of golden flames against their throats, magic circles made out of Nordic runes floating above their heads as Rossweisse was ready to disintegrate them all in an instant.
"I do not believe I have to worry about them." I said with a smirk, the women huffing as the magic circles disappeared and the daggers dissipated into thin air.
"I...see." He said shakily as he felt at his throat, feeling the raw skin as he let out a shaky breath.
"Now, before we start with our meeting, please introduce yourself." I said as I waited for them all to calm their racing hearts.
"I-I'm Yamaguchi Hajima, the leader of the Demon Dragons and a shateigashira(Regional Boss) of the Yamaguchi-gumi." He said and I raised an eyebrow as I saw Yasaka winced slightly in the corner of my eye.
The largest Yakuza gang in Japan and one of the biggest crime families in the world? …I really know how to pick them, don't I?
"I thought Shateigashira were not allowed to start unnecessary conflict with others." At least, that's what the info we have on them say. He just chuckled before he spoke.
"I'm the son of the current boss of the Yamaguchi-gumi, so I was given a bit more authority that the others. However, the old man might still get pissed at me for starting a fight." He shrugged and I chuckled before my smile slowly disappeared.
"Let's get to the reason of this meeting. Why did you send assassins after me?"
"Why did you kill my men?" He answered my question with a question and I shrugged.
"They were harassing Yasaka here and were about to kidnap her daughter. I did give them a chance to do nothing, but they didn't listen, so they served as a warning to anyone else who try to do the same thing." I said shamelessly and Yasaka giggled as Hajima sighed.
"Of course they did. Hiro always was arrogant because of him becoming a big brother in my gang. I would like to formally apologise for his actions., but I still want compensation for my men. If not, my men will see me as weak and that might cause them to rebel against me." I just raised an eyebrow.
"Do you have your father's number?" He looked confused, but he nodded.
"Call him and put it on speaker." I said with a smile.
"You think-!" One of the grunts began to speak, but was forced silent as I just turned my stare to him. He froze as he didn't dare make a move before I turned back to Hajima.
"Call him and put him on speaker." He just sighed before he pulled out his phone, typing in a number and calling it. He put the phone on speaker before putting it on the table in front of him. It rang for a few seconds before a click sound came from the phone as someone picked up.
"You must have a good reason for bothering the Oyabun, boy."
"I apologise deeply for calling, Ken-oji-san, but there's a bit of a problem in Kuoh. Some of my men were killed and I'm currently sitting with the culprit."
"So? Just kill him and his family and get rid of the bodies." The other person sounded bored and I smirked as Hajima sighed.
"I tried that already, oji-san. I sent Rose and her group along with Kiryu and Kazuma after him. He sent them back, humiliated." The three culprits in question looked a bit ashamed as the man on the other end chuckled.
"Hah! Tell those brats we're redoing their training if they're already losing to people. Is the phone on speaker?"
"Yes, oji-san."
"Oi! You, bastard who killed our men! What's your name so I know what to put on your gravestone?"
"So you think you're powerful to take me on now, Kenpachi?" I asked with a smirk, the Yakuza and the girls looking surprised at me knowing the person's name. The line on the other end went completely silent before he spoke.
"Hajima, this person in front of you. Does he have dark brown hair and golden brown eyes? Light caramel skin and has the body of a Greek God?"
"Uh, he does, oji-san." Hajima looked confused and Kenpachi sighed.
"…Fuck. Oi, Richards. I apologise for their ignorance and whatever they did." They were shocked at hearing him apologise and I chuckled.
"All is forgiven, Kenpachi. Just tell your men to not bother me or my family again and I won't slaughter every single Yamaguchi-gumi in Japan, okay?"
"You're one fucked-up bastard. Fine. Oi, gaki. Apologise for what your men did and get out of there as fast as you can. The bastard in front of you has fought gods and dragons. Don't fuck with him. See you, Richards."
"Good bye, Kenpachi." And with that, the call disconnected, with all of them looking nervous as I smiled.
"You've already apologised, so there's no need to do so again. Now then, it's getting a bit late and we still have tests to grade, so we'll unfortunately have to say goodbye." I said with smile and Hajima gave a shaky and hasty nod, his men hurriedly leaving the room as he, Kiryu, Kazuma, Rose and I walked out with Rossweisse and Yasaka walking to check on Kunou in her room.
"…Thank you for sparing us. I'd rather not let any of my men die because of the actions of a few idiots."
"It would have been too much work to kill everyone and then have to clean it up, so this was the easiest option to pick." Hajima chuckled nervously as he nodded shakily.
"Well, goodbye, Richards-san." He said with a bow and I smiled.
"To you as well, Yamaguchi-san." I said as I reciprocated his bow before he climbed back into his SUV, Rose blowing a kiss at me with a sultry smirk as she along with Kazuma and Kiryu climbed into the same car. I watched all of them climb into their SUV's before they drove off, waiting until they turned the corner at the end of the street before I walked back into the yard and closed the gate behind me.
"Well, that went much better than I expected." Yasaka said as soon as I walked into the dining room and I sighed as I sat down on the pillow at the end of the table, with her pouring me a glass of red wine and I gave a thankful smile as I took a sip.
"There was no need for me to kill them all, so I might as well talk to them and see if we can't fix the problem through diplomacy." She giggled as she sipped from her own glass and I just noticed the blue rimmed glasses she had on as well as the test papers next to her.
"I thought supernatural beings don't need glasses." I said with an amused smirk and she just gave a smile.
"Kunou and Kurama bought them for me as a Mother's Day present, so I like to use them whenever I do paperwork."
"So your son's name is Kurama?" I asked and she nodded, a proud smile on her face.
"Yamamoto Kurama. My little Juubi prince." I chuckled as I finished the glass of wine, with her pouring me another glass as I raised an eyebrow.
"Help me grade and keep me company? Rose was supposed to work with me, but Kunou won't let her go, so she's doing her grading work in there." Usually, I would have denied her, but I also wanted to spend more time with her. I don't know why, but I can't deny what I instinctively wanted.
"Sure. I don't have any tests to grade, so I was just going to go up to the tower." I said with a smile and she gave a thankful smile as I moved to sit down next to her, taking the pen she handed to me as we began to work. Half an hour later, we were joined by Rossweisse, who informed us that Kunou was sleeping and we divided the test papers between us three.
A/N: Like I said the last chapter(I think), this is a slice-of-life fanfic for now since I'm still trying to figure out the battles that are going to take place for the year. Also, the relationship is a slow burn, mostly because I've only had one girlfriend and that one didn't last long. After that, it was just a few one night-stands here and there. So forgive me if the romance and build-up is a bit cringey.
Another also, I noticed a few reviews saying that I'm making Rias stupid on purpose. Hehe~ you'll be surprised. That's all I can say. Anyway, yeah, leave your reviews as always and I'll see you all next time. Until then…Ba-Bye~!
