Kyoto, Japan:

Ten Minutes Later:

Theo's POV:

"…So you're Theseus Richards, commander of the strongest Division of the Huntsmen Organization & the man who wants to date my mother?" The handsome crimson haired boy sitting in front of me asked, making Yasaka giggle as I nodded. We were seated inside the largest shrine of Kyoto, which could be seen from all angles of the Youkai city.

"Indeed I am. And you must be Kurama. Your mother has told me so much about you."

"Nope. I haven't." Yasaka denied instantly with a teasing smirk, to which I just rolled my eyes as Kurama never removed his glare from me.

"You know, lying to the man you want to impress might not make the greatest first impression." He spoke in a monotone, to which I just raised an eyebrow.

"Well, the only thing I do know about you is the fact that you're her pride and that's about it." Kurama just glanced dryly at his mother, who was smiling innocently, before turning his glare back on and back at me.

"Let's get to the reason you're actually here. What makes you worthy of dating my Kaa-san?" He asked with a frown.

"Well, for starters, I can look after her and Kunou when you're not there to do so, which I know is one of the reasons you're doing this."

"Do not presume that you know my thoughts." He growled and I stared at him before letting out a soft sigh.

"Listen, I'm not one for all this traditional stuff, so let's just cut to the chase. The reason you're doing this is because there's a little voice inside your head right now. It's whispering to you that there's a chance your mother will forget about your father as she dates this new guy. There's also the fact that you don't believe any man, no matter who your mother brings, will be good enough for her, because somewhere in your mind, you still think that maybe, just maybe, she'll decided to live her life on her own without remarrying or taking another man."

"I would advise you to be quiet, ningen!" He snarled, his crimson aura now visible as his tails whipped about, Yasaka now frowning disapprovingly at both of us before I sighed.

"Look, man to man. I'm not here to be your father and I'm not here to try and take his place. Yasaka is a wonderful woman, probably the only woman that's made me feel as if I have butterflies in my stomach every time she smiles at me. Kunou…Kunou's like a daughter to me. In just the three months that I've known them, I've been more happy than I've ever been with any girl in my entire life. I don't want to be the one who destroys the wonderful relationship you have with your mother and sister, but I also don't want to lose this small bit of sunshine in my life that I gained. So please, for their sakes, can't we just get along?" I asked, a pleading look on my face as Kurama just glared before he spoke.

"No." Kurama!" Yasaka exclaimed with a glare, which Kurama reciprocated.

"I said no, Kaa-san and I meant it! Was one man truly enough to get you to forget about Father?! The man who sacrificed his family and life for you…and just one ningen was enough to make all of that worthless? Are you truly that pathe-!"

"Enough!" I exclaimed, my aura blasting out as both of them froze. The ground was trembling, the air was quaking and I was furious as I glared at Kurama, who was now silent as a slight look of fear appeared in his eyes.

"Listen here, boy and listen good! Your mother has been nothing but kind and reserved towards me! Hell, I was the one who asked her on a date and we've only kissed a few times as she wanted to ask for your blessing before our relationship went any further! Now, I'm damn sure you weren't just going to call your mother pathetic. If so, you're not worth the beautiful smile she has whenever she speaks of you! Now, you're going to apologize to this lovely woman for everything hurtful you've said or were about to say or I'm going to make sure you never see her or your sister ever again! Do I make myself clear, boy?!" Yasaka looked shocked at my words as I glared at Kurama, who had now snapped out of his shock and fear as he glared back. His aura was slowly rising as the crimson aura reappeared.

"I ASKED A QUESTION AND I EXPECT AN ANSWER! DO YOU UNDERSTAND, BOY?!" I roared, the entirety of the shrine being completely destroyed as the visage of the green Kraken appeared behind me. Kurama was frozen as it screeched loudly, glaring at him. Every being in the city were far too scared to move, as even the Tengu guards flying in the air were frozen and slowly floating in midair.

"Y-Yes." He stuttered out, to which I let out a deep breath as I retracted my aura. The trembling seized and I kept my glare on the subdued Kurama before turning to Yasaka.

"I'm sorry you had to see that side of me. It's not something I like to do for the fun of it." I whispered as I hugged her softly, Yasaka hugging me back before I felt her shake as she shook her head.

"It-it's okay. I-It was…just unexpected." She got out as I slowly felt my yukata began to get wet, now fully glaring at Kurama, who looked a bit ashamed but not stopping with glaring at me.

"Nii-chan! If you made Theo or Kaa-san mad, I'm going to start ripping out your tail hairs again!" I heard Kunou's voice exclaim.

"Kunou! Your mother said to stay close!" Rossweisse's voice came after and Yasaka let out out a soft, choked giggle as I sighed. Well, there goes family vacation day.

Later that day, Evening:

Kyoto:

"…If you're not stop glaring at me, could you at least sit down?" I asked as I downed another cup of sake, Kurama not stopping with his glare as he sat down a few meters away from me. We were on the back porch of Kurama's mansion, formerly Yasaka's, that they were gifted by the Shinto Gods. It was late evening and after Kurama calmed down the populace of Kyoto, we went back to his mansion where he, Yasaka & a very pissed-off Kunou spoke for hours.

I mean like a pissed-off Kunou. I'm just glad it was aimed at Kurama and not me because, dear gods, I'm never making her angry ever again. This was not the 'I'm angwy' angry Kunou I'm used to seeing. No, this was the 'I'm going to fucking cut your balls off and boil them in oil before feeding them to you' angry Kunou.

"So, why don't you want me to date your mother?" I asked after we just sat in silence for about half an hour, staring at the star lit sky.

"What has she told you of my father?" He finally spoke, to which I just shrugged as I poured myself another cup.

"Nothing. She doesn't like talking about it." I said and he sighed as he nodded.

"I'd figure. She still feels that it was her fault that he died." He muttered softly as he took another sip from the gourd in his right hand.

"Kaa-san and Tou-san met seventeen years ago when Kyoto was being attacked by Emperor Sutoku, who wanted to take vengeance on the Royal Family who exiled him. Since my maternal grandmother is Rika Yamamoto, the second daughter of the current Emperor of Japan, he decided to try and kill Kaa-san to spite her family. Unfortunately for him, Tou-san was there to stop him. Musashi Miyamoto, the human and descendant/ inheritor of the spirit of the first Musashi Miyamoto, the wielder of Masasume and Muramasa." I was shocked at his words as he just kept staring at the sky.

"According to the elders, he was the Second Coming of Miyamoto himself, able to fight and clash against Satan-Class beings with naught but his two katanas and his Touki. I'm more powerful than my Kaa-san, but according to her, I do not come close to his power without having to make use of the leylines." He took another swig and I took my chance to take a sip of my sake.

"When he fought against Sutoku, it was a clash that lasted for half a day, with Kaa-san having to send them to a pocket dimension in the Dimensional Gap to stop any further damage to Kyoto. When the battle finally ended, Tou-san walked back into Kyoto, bruised and tired beyond belief, yet a broad smile was on his face as he carried the decapitated head of Sutoku in his right hand. Since Youkai are beings of instinct and power and no one wanted to anger the man who fought and killed one of the Three Great Vengeful Spirits, he was allowed to marry Kaa-san. A year after their marriage, I was born." Here, he let out a deep breath as he stared at the gourd. I was just downing another cup before pouring another.

"Twelve years ago, on the birth of Kunou, Sugawara no Michizane & Taira no Masakado let an assault on Kyoto to avenge the death of their great friend Sutoku and their pride as two of the last members of the Three Great Vengeful Spirits. 5000 Rogue Youkai from all over Asia attacked Kyoto, each on the same level of Ultimate-Class or higher with both Masakado and Michizane being on the same level as Sutoku. The average Youkai guard in Kyoto was only High-Class, but there were about 15000 of them, which was enough to fight against them. The real problem, unfortunately, were the two main threats." We both took a sip/ swig before he continued.

"Michizane had an ability that allowed him to create a barrier around him that slowed everyone and everything that tried to attack him. Masakado had an ability that allowed him to summon 10 Satan-Class Shikigami, something never seen before in the history of Youjutsu. To just face off and hurt Michizane and Masakado already took all he had, but factoring in the 10 new Satan-Class fighters as well as Michizane's defences…it felt as if all was lost. Fortunately for Kyoto, Tou-san was not going to let it end there. By releasing the suppressing seals that were placed on Masamune by the first Musashi, he was able to release the full power of the blade, allowing him to reach the same level as the Top 10 Strongest Beings in the word…but at a cost." He muttered as he placed the gourd next to him on the porch before leaning back.

"Muramasa has a very potent poison that is a combination of Samael's Blood, Hydra Venom and the venom of Izanami's blood. No matter if you're a Devil, Angel, God or Dragon God, one hit from it and you're dead. Unfortunately, that also works both ways. The moment the wielder of Muramasa activates its ability, the wielder has 10 seconds to finish his battle or the poison will kill him before he can do so. My last vision of him was weeping over his smiling body as Muramasa slowly sheathed itself." He muttered before he turned to me and I noticed the unshed tears in his eyes.

"You asked me why we can't get along. It's because in my mind, I did not see a man who loved my mother. Instead, I saw someone who was going to try and replace the sight of my father's victorious smile with theirs. As much as my mother and sister love to be around you, I feel far too attached to those memories to let another man become my father. So, you have my blessing to take your relationship with my mother further and you have my blessing to marry her. As childish as it is, just know that in my heart, there is only one man that is good enough for her." He said as he stood up before I sighed.

"I understand where you're coming from and I won't try to force you to like me. Just know that your father would want you to live your life happily with your mother and sister instead of drowning yourself in your cardinal desires and misery. Don't worry about your sister and mother either while they're in Kuoh. I'll make sure to protect them with my life." I vowed as he just stood still before continuing with walking away.

'Slow and steady. Just slow…and steady.' I thought with a sigh as I leaned back on my hands, staring up at the sky.

Two Days Later:

"Promise me you'll start going out instead of just staying indoors all day." Yasaka asked with a pleading look in her eyes, to which Kurama sighed but nodded.

"Asami, make sure he stays away from the drinking and kick him out for an hour a day if you need to. I give you permission."

"Of course, Yasaka-sama. I will do it gladly." Asami said with a slightly sadistic smile, making Yasaka nod in gratitude as she missed the flash of nervousness in Kurama's eyes.

"Nii-chan, you better listen to Asami or I'm coming back, you hear?" Kunou said with a cute glare as Kurama just chuckled and nodded, leaning down to ruffle her hair.

"And you make sure to look after Kaa-chan. We both know how cranky she can get." He whispered loudly, Kunou giggling as Yasaka playfully rolled her eyes.

"Don't worry! I'll just throw Theo at her and he'll make her happy again."

"Right." He muttered as he glanced up at me briefly before turning to the frowning Rossweisse.

"I do wish we met under better circumstances, Rossweisse-san."

"I do too." Was all she said, making Kurama awkward as Yasaka raised an eyebrow before turning to me, to which I just shrugged. Was she still pissed at Kurama for what he said to Yasaka and I?

"I hope that you keep your vow, Richards-san." Kurama said with a stoic face and I nodded.

"And I hope you'll listen to my advice." I said, to which he nodded before he held his hand out. I smiled as I shook it and he nodded before walking away.

"As shy as always." Yasaka muttered before she turned to Asami.

"We'll see you at the annual Kyoto festival later in the year, Asami."

"We'll be graciously awaiting your arrival. Goodbye to you all." She said with a bow, which we reciprocated before Rossweisse created a silver teleportation crest under us and we disappeared. Well, I can't say it was good, but it wasn't bad.

A/N: Yeah, don't ask me why I made it so overdramatic and cringey. It just popped into my head and I did it. Now, we go over to a new arc, which is…I have no clue. To the planning machine!

Oh wait, before I go, leave your reviews, enjoy and I'll see you all next time.

Until then…Ba-Bye~!

Now! To the Planning Machine!
