Two Days Later, Afternoon:
Nozuta Stadium, Machida:
"I can't believe we're here." Shigiru muttered with a look of shock on her face, the rest of the girls just as shocked as her and I chuckled as we walked onto the field.
"We're playing on the home field of FC Machida Zelvia! They're one of my favourite teams!" Yamada exclaimed with a happy smile and I just smirked before I glanced over at our opponent for the semi-finals. The team of Machida Girls High was staring back at us, their coach giving a confident smirk that made me grin before I turned back to the girls.
"Okay, girls. First half, take it easy. Keep them from scoring and make sure that you don't use too much energy. The second half, though, Shiho, you go all out."
"Will do, idiot coach." She said with a grin and the girls giggled as I rolled my eyes with a smile.
"Sure thing, chibi rabbit." I fired back and she glared cutely as I patted her on the head before turning to the team.
"Okay, ladies! Let's defeat this sideshow and make sure that we move on to the tournament! Kuoh on three!" I said and we huddled in a circle before I grinned.
"One! Two! Three! Kuoh!" We cheered and I clapped happily as they walked onto the field to warm up, glancing back at the other team as I made mental calculations in my head.
'That centre forward looks like a goal poacher and left footed as well. That's pretty unorthodox. Those wingers though, their kicking accuracy are perfect with both of their feet and they look the same. Ambidextrous twins, perhaps? If so…that's a problem.' Ambidexterity is a sought-after skill in football and if you're born with it, your value shoots up very high.
Combine that with the fact that your kicking accuracy is 99% every time, you're the perfect winger for any time.
'And we have to deal with two of them.' I thought with a frown before I grinned as I looked over to our own pair of twins and double at that.
"Lisa, Lya, Tia, Tina come here!" I shouted and the blond-haired, emerald-eyed duo and the black-haired, crimson-eyed duo skipped over with cheerful grins, their hands behind their backs as they gave me mischievous grins.
""""What's up, coach?"""" All four asked in unison and I chuckled before I turned my head to the other team.
"You four noticed the two wingers on the other team, right?" I said and they all grinned as they nodded.
"They're yours. Go wild."
"Looks like Christmas came early, didn't it ladies?" Lisa said and the other three nodded as they glanced at the wingers while walking back to the team. I chuckled as the wingers looked a bit confused at why the four were grinning at them and I nearly burst out laughing as I heard Yusada's sigh and her muttered words.
"Two more victims sent to the slaughter house."
"Go, Theo! Go, Kuoh! Kick their asses!" My mother's loud voice came from behind me and I sighed as the team and the forming crowd around her looked confused.
"Don't worry about the crazy woman, team! Just keep on warming up!" I shouted at them and they all gave me confused stares before they shrugged as they went back to warming up.
Quickly reaching behind me while also making it seem as if I was stretching, I grabbed onto the invisible ice spear that was sent flying at my head before I glanced back and winced at the glare my mom sent me. Thankfully, Kunou was there to quickly calm her down as she went back to smiling and hugging her, making Yasaka and Rossweisse let out relieved sighs as I chuckled. '
Thank the gods for the blond little guardian angel I have.' I thought with a smile before I nodded at the team to go and get changed.
Five Minutes Later:
"Welcome back, everyone, to the All-Girls High School Japan Football Tournament! A few weeks ago, we finished the regional qualifiers and the top eight teams from those qualifiers are now facing each other for a chance to win this tournament and become this year champions! On the right, we have a team who has made it to the Semi-Finals in every tournament and has won the tournament three times, but will this year be their fourth win or will they be turned around right here?! Give it up for Machida Girls High!" The gold-and-black crowd cheered loudly as the Machida team waved and blew kisses at them.
"And on the left, we have a team who, up to this year, has not even made it past the first round of the regional qualifiers! This year however, they have completely dominated every match they've been in thanks to the astounding teachings of their coach and, according to our sources, also their PE teacher! Put your hands together for the team seen as the dark horse/ underdog of the the tournament, Kuoh Academy!" The Kuoh crowd's cheers were nearly deafening and I chuckled as some of the team cheered with them.
"And now, with everyone warmed up and ready to go to battle, let the match…begin!"
*PPPPIIIIIIII* Yamada kicked off as she passed the ball to Yusada before running down the middle towards the goal box, Shigiru and Shiho keeping up with her ease as they ran down the right and left side respectively.
To the other team's surprise, Yusada didn't pass straight to either of them as she just stood there, the rest of the team going on the full defence before she smiled as she, to the shock of Machida's team and their crowd, passed the ball to them.
"Go ahead." She said as she moved out of the way for them, giving them a clear path to the goal.
"Are you looking down on us?!" One of the twin wingers exclaimed and she just giggled as she shrugged, walking past them to where Yamada, Shiho and Shigiru were standing leisurely with grins on their face. The twins just glared at her before they grinned as they passed to the centre forward and ran up the field, the brown-haired centre forward keeping up with them, but to their shock, the rest of the team let them pass as the Quartet defensive line were waiting for them with feral grins.
3rd Person POV:
'They got cocky and now, they're gonna lose.' Hana Inazuma, the prized centre forward for Machida, thought with a happy grin as she got just in front of the goal box before aiming at the right of the goal box, where Dia, the left winger of the twins, was waiting for the ball.
Hana crossed the ball over the blond bimbos, who just smirked at her as they watched the ball sail through the air, but before Dia could even touch it, they only saw a flash of maroon as one of the black-haired girls was already in the air, her eyes solely focused on the ball before she headered it away. Landing on the ground, Tia gave Dia a grin before she spoke.
"Compared to Shigiru, Shiho and Yamada, you're just so slow~" Dia growled as she glared at her before they turned to the ball, which was perfectly headed back to Hana's feet as Lisa and Lya smirked at her.
"Try again." Was all they said and she snarled before she grinned as she caught sight of her teammate. Kiyome was in the blind spot of the blond duo, shifting in the shadows and Hana grinned as she made to score before she shifted it into a cross at the last second, the ball having a bit of backspin to it as it sailed through them and into the grasp of Kiyome, who made to score before she stopped as the second of the black-haired duo appeared in front of her out of nowhere.
"Come on, now. You didn't think you'd get past me that easily." Tina said with an amused smirk and Kiyome just glared as she tried to pass her with a La Boba only to stare in shock as Tina was already in front of her.
"This is going to be easy with coach's training if this is the best you guys can do." Tina said and Kiyome once again tried to do a high-speed Scissors Feint, but in the blink of an eye, the ball was gone from her feet as Tina passed her before she crossed it back to Hana. She stared in shock at the ball as Tina and Tia kept on their marks while Lisa and Lya grinned.
"Why don't you try?" Lisa said and Hana just blitzed towards the goal box. Lya sprinted towards her and she tried to do a roulette around her only for her to stop with her back to the box as Lisa stopped her from turning.
Before Hana could think, Lya already stole the ball from her feet and the three forwards of Machida stared in shock as Lya crossed it back to the front, but Yusada didn't even try to run for the box as she just dribbled it to the middle of the field before leaving it there as she went back to the front.
'And so, the psychological warfare begins.' Theo thought with a grin as he watched the war fully begins.
45 Minutes Later:
Theo's POV:
*PPPPIIIIIIII*
"And the score is still 0-0 as Kuoh has decided to just play around with the other team! Will they actually try in the second half or will they just keep on playing?!" The announcer exclaimed and both crowds look bored as I just smiled.
"Coach, why did we just defend?" Yamada whined as the team huddled around me and I chuckled.
"Well, I wanted the defensive line to get some experience in a real match before the finals. Besides, that's also to get you guys restless to get you wanting to shoot more." I said with a grin and the three forwards and Yusada glared cutely at me as I smiled.
"Now come on. It's time for Shiho's debut and all eyes are on her." I said as I glanced at Shiho, who pouted as the team giggled.
"You ready to showcase that right foot of yours?" I asked and she grinned as she nodded.
"Then, let's take the rest of the 15 minute break to get yourselves ready to demolish them." I said with a feral grin, which they all reciprocated before I explained our plan for the second half.
15 minutes later:
3rd Person POV:
*PPPPPIIIIIIII*
'Okay, as soon as they kick off, Shigiru, take the ball.' Shigiru blitzed past the front line players, the centre midfield of Machida not even getting a chance to kick it away from their half as she quickly stole it before passing it to Yusada.
'Yusada, your job is to carry it all the way to the goal box. Yamada, Shigiru, keep up with her.' Yusada was gone before they could reorganize their defence, dancing as if she was the star on a stage as she dribbled and ran her way to the goal. The defenders ran out to try and take the ball from her, but she was giggling as she spun and manoeuvred around their onslaught.
'As soon as she gets near the goal box, Shigiru and Yamada, do it to confuse them.' As Yusada got near the goal box, Shigiru and Yamada, who was running on the left side, sprinted to the centre of the field before running past each, Yusada grinning as she made to pass.
'The cross run will confuse them as well as make them uncertain of what your next move is. That's where you come in, Shiho.' Unknown to all of the defenders, Shiho was weaving in the shadows, Yusada aiming for Shigiru before she grinned as she crossed it to her. Shiho jumped into the air and softly trapped the ball, letting the defender skid past under her.
As she and the ball floated in the air, the ones marking the others tried to rush towards her, but in the blink of an eye, the ball sailed past the goalie and into the net. Everyone stared in shock as it spun in the net before falling to the ground as she landed with a wide smile.
'Semi-Finals…here we come.' I thought with a grin as Shiho and the other three walked back to their starting positions, the Kuoh crowd and the announcer cheering widely as I turned to Machida's coach, who was just in utter shock as I waved at her with a smile.
The Next Day, Afternoon:
Theo's Office, Home/ HQ:
Theo's POV:
"So, Rizevim and Crom Cruach are working together along with an unknown silver-haired Devil, who I might had an inkling of who he is, and they unleashed the Minotaur to distract the Greek Pantheon?" Gil asked once more and I let out a sigh as I stared at the communication rune on my desk.
"Yes, but why? Even with me being busy with the Minotaur, it still doesn't make sense why they would think that the other Greek Gods would also be too busy."
"Unless they planned for Zeus, Poseidon and most of the Olympic Gods to come and protect you as soon as they arrived." Tesla spoke up and Gil hummed as I frowned slightly in confusion.
"Continue with your theory, Tesla."
"What if all of this was to get a word to someone or something inside Olympus itself? Since Artemis and Apollon were with you all, the greatest eyes on Mt. Olympus were not there to detect any threats and Hephaestus is also the main defensive guard of Olympus. With him gone, most of his golems and guardian drones won't work as well as they usually do. If they had sent in someone specializing in stealth and being invisible, that someone could have gotten word to a forgotten enemy that was sealed inside or near Olympus and possibly recruit them to their cause." As Tesla spoke, my mind went a mile before my eyes widened as I realized it.
"The Titan Keys! Of course!" I exclaimed in shock as it all connected.
"What do you mean Titan Keys, Theseus?" Gil asked and I quickly spoke while I created a call to my Dad.
"Deep inside Mt. Olympus is a vault guarded by the most powerful warriors of Olympus, all of them hand-picked by Ares and Athena themselves. Inside that vault are different keys that acts as the release seal to the cages that all of the Titans are currently sealed inside. If I was Rizevim and I knew about them, I would sent my spy to go and take the keys before releasing the Minotaur in order to take everyone's attention off of the vault for just a few seconds in order to give the spy a chance to escape!"
"But why would he know of this?" Isaac asked and I sighed as the call finally connected.
"Because Hades is one of the few gods that know of the Titan Keys and would have told Rizevim about it. Father, are you currently near Apollon?!"
"Right here, cousin! What's up?" Apollon's cheery voice came through.
"Okay, Lord Zeus, Father! I'm sorry for speaking of this to those that don't know, but Apollon! Use your Farsight and check if the Titan keys are still in the Sacred Vault!"
"Boy!" Lord Zeus' growl came through the call before Gil spoke up.
"Zeus! This is Gilgamesh speaking here! Forgive the boy for speaking of Sacred Secrets, but this is important! We have reason to believe that they might have been stolen!"
"Ha! Impossible! Athena and I have chosen the strongest of men to guard it, so no one could have gotten through." Ares exclaimed with a scoff and I sighed.
"Ares, shut the fuck up! Athena, I can already feel you and Artemis about to speak up, so you two shut up as well! Aunt Hera, I can feel the animosity through the screen, so you keep your mouth shut too! Aunt Hestia and Aunt Demeter, this is not the time for you guys to want to ask questions, so please be quiet and also hello to you two and I love you two! Lord Zeus! This is no time for your ego to fucking show its face and I wasn't speaking to you, so be quiet! Apollon, fucking check if the seals are in the vault right fucking now!" I roared and there was silence on both ends before Apollon and Samson spoke in unison.
"Damn/ Damn." I sighed at their words before I gritted out my next words.
"Apollon, you have ten FUCKING seconds to check the vault or I swear on my name as Theseus that I will come up to Mt. Olympus and stuff my arm down your throat before ripping out your lungs!"
"Okay, okay! Fine!" He said quickly before the call went silent. A few seconds later, I heard Zeus spoke.
"Well, boy! Speak!"
"The….The keys are gone."
"What?!" Zeus exclaimed and I sighed as I fell back into my chair.
"Thank you, Apollon. Lord Zeus, I'll talk to you later." And before he could speak, I disconnected the call, leaving my office in silence before Holmes spoke.
"I'm going to get wasted. This is too much info in one sitting."
"We'll meet later this week at HQ in person. The Organization needs to figure out our next steps. Meeting adjourned." And the communication rune died down, returning to its dull blue as I leaned back, staring up at the ceiling.
How did just being a teacher for a year become a battle against Dragons, Gods and Titans?
'Sometimes, this Demi-God luck of mine is too much work.'
*KNOCK* *KNOCK*
"Come in." I muttered and glanced slightly to see Mom looking inside.
"How bad?" She asked with a soft smile and I sighed.
"Cataclysmic bad. The Titan Keys are gone."
"…That is cataclysmic bad." She muttered with a frown as she walked in and closed the door behind her.
"Do you remember the time you nearly punch the crap out of Triton?" She asked with a smile as she walked behind him, slowly rubbing her hands through my hair and massaging my scalp.
"That also led to you chasing me through Atlantis with a solid bronze sandal as Auntie Amphitrite and Dad laughed their asses off."
"Ah, the good ol' days when that would have hurt you." She said with a happy smile and I chuckled.
"Do you remember what your dad said after I whooped your ass?"
" 'No matter how much your mother hits you or scolds you, she would sacrifice her well-being and all of the riches in the world just to see you smile.'" I quoted with a smile and she leaned over and nodded as she gave me a quick peck on the forehead.
" 'No matter how much the world tries to kill you or turn against you, your mom would be there to protect and nurture you until the time comes where you can face it on yourself.'" She muttered with a smile as she wrapped her arms around my shoulders.
"'And no matter what the world has against you, your mother will always pick your side and destroy any foe you have until you can do so yourself.' Every time a merman or mermaid tried to hurt you, I was there to kick their ass black-and-blue. Every time you fell, I was there to pick you up. So don't worry about having to face the Titans for I'll be there to pick you up and kick their asses with you." She said and I smiled before she patted me on the shoulders.
"Now, come on. Kunou and I are going out for a girl's day out and that gives you, Rose and Yasaka about three hours of personal time. By the time I come back, I expect at least three future grandkids on the way."
"And you ruined the movement." I groaned and she grinned as I stood up from my chair.
"That's what I'm supposed to do. It's my sacred duty as a mom." She said and I sighed as I opened the door before we walked out of my office and towards the front door, where Yasaka was adjusting Kunou's clothes and Rossweisse was busy with her hair.
"See? That one has experience as a mom and that one is already training to be one. You won't find any better candidates." Both Rossweisse and surprisingly Yasaka blushed slightly as Kunou giggled and I sighed.
"Just enjoy your trip and try not to kill anyone."
"They flirt with me, I rip their throats out." Was all she said before she and Kunou walked out of the door with happy grins. Yasaka, Rossweisse and I just looked at them leaving through the gate before I spoke.
"Rossweisse, have the Japan Defence Force on standby just in case."
"You must be joking, right?" She said with a shaky grin, which slowly withered as I just sighed.
"I wish I was."
"Theo, I feel bad for you having to deal with that on a daily basis while you were younger." Yasaka said as she patted me on the back and I just grinned.
"Believe me, she's gotten softer."
"…What?" Both of them muttered in shock and I chuckled before they both squeaked as I picked both of them up and put them on my shoulders.
"Theo! Put us down~!" Rossweisse whined as she bashed her fists against my back as softly as she could and I grinned.
"Nope, we still have a 44-44 draw in Call to War and Yasaka asked me to show her what a game is like, so that's my goal for today!" I exclaimed with a grin as I kicked the door behind me before carrying the giggling Yasaka and the whining Rossweisse back to my room.
…That's a sentence I never thought I'd say in my life.
