3rd Person POV:
Unknown Neighbourhood, LA:
'Maria the Ripper, the signature ability of Jack. It allows him to summon every female he has slain, no matter their age, and use them as extensions of his own body. Every single girl has the same number of daggers that Jack has, though they lose their enchantments and are reduced to just jagged daggers. In exchange for that, though, if you kill one, two more spaw.' Theo thought with a smirk as he watched the horde of female Jacks rush towards the monstrous Iapetus.
Some of them were killed by his spear and some were burned to ashes by his silver flames, but a few of them slipped through his guard and cut chunks of his flesh off only for the flesh to regrow and for his snarls to grow louder and more frequent.
If that was not enough, illusions of Holmes dashed through the mist, cutting and stabbing through his body while also slowly injecting more and more of the Nightmare Fuel into his system and while most of it was burned away by his rapid healing, some of it stayed inside his body and continued to make him hallucinate.
"How many insects do I have to kill?!" Iapetus roared in frustration as he bifurcated a dozen Jacks only for even more to crawl out of the pools of blood and continue attacking him. A never-ending onslaught of lethal blows meant to either combat an army or battle a powerful foe in a duel of endurance.
'However, from what I remembered, Hades and Iapetus fought for hours before Hades finally landed the finishing blow and defeated him. Jack might last long enough to weaken, but Holmes on the other hand,…'
'This is not my kind of battle.' Holmes cursed in his mind as he barely ducked under a spear thrust, quickly slashing at the back of Iapetus' head before leaping back into the mist just in time to dodge a barrage of fire spears.
'Unlike Jacky-boy, I'm not the front-line battler, so why did Theseus put me here? Yes, I can coordinate the best of us two with Jack, but what help is that going to do when the foe can take on hundreds of him and still manage to nearly kill me?!' Holmes screamed in his mind as he ran through the crimson mist at his top speed, slipping around the flying bodies of the Jacks and Iapetus' attacks to slice into him and get even more Nightmare Fuel inside his body, only to curse in his head and frown as most of the Fuel was pushed out of his body by his healing factor before the wounds sizzled closed.
Even when he had injected about 500 ml of Nightmare Fuel into the Titan, enough to make thousands of humans hallucinate for decades on end, it just made Iapetus snarl and attack even faster.
'Besides, I'm not sure that Iapetus would want to keep on fighting us. Instead, I think he would want to run away and use the humans living outside the runic field to try and throw us off his trail and make his escape.' Theo thought with a frown as he leapt into the air, Anaklusmos morphing into its trident form as Theo created a water platform under him before leaping even higher.
Something he cannot allow.
Reaching the apex of his jump, he turned back to the ground, where the battle was nothing more than specks in his eyes before he created an ice platform under him and used it to rocket towards the ground. Sonic booms echoed throughout the night sky of LA as Theseus barrelled towards the ground, the planes protected from the hurricane force winds thanks to the runic field around the neighbourhood as he grinned before spinning rapidly.
As Theseus spun in a corkscrew towards the ground, a bright green glow covered Anaklusmos before he quickly came to a stop, aiming at Iapetus before he heaved and chucked the golden trident at him with a roar.
"Wha-?!" Iapetus barely had time to gasp as he looked up at the sky, the trident spearing through his body and into the ground, impaling him into the ground as he could only give a cough.
"Now!" Theseus shouted and Holmes nodded as he pulled out the iron sealing rods from his pocket dimension, quickly stabbing them into the ground in an overlapping hexagonal formation. He then pulled out the bracelet and tried to tap it against a rod only for his eyes to widen as a large shadow covered his form, looking up in shock to see Iapetus leering over him with his spear grasped tightly in his right hand. He had a look of utter loathing on his face as he pulled the spear back.
"Your little poison has messed with me for the last time. Now, di-!"
"Hey, Iapetus!" Theseus' voice roared and Iapetus looked to the side just in time for a glowing green fist to smash into his face. The air around his head warped as the shock waves drilled into his skull before he was sent skidding back into the formation just in time for Holmes to smirk and nod at Theseus.
"Good night, Iapetus." Holmes said with a smirk, Iapetus' eyes widening before he tapped the bracelet against the rod. In a bright flash, silver chains erupted from the rods before wrapping around the limbs of Iapetus, with him roaring as the rods flew towards his body and stabbed his limbs to the ground.
"No! NO! I AM IAPETUS! I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED BY MORTALS! I WILL-!" His final words were cut off as the chains wrapped him up in a cocoon, the chains flashing once before his form disappeared in a flash of silver just as a communication crest appeared on the back of Theseus' right hand.
'Theseus, this is Hephaestus. Iapetus is sealed back in his cage. Good job.' And with that, they all finally relaxed, Theo and Holmes dropping to the ground as the crimson mist and pools of blood disappeared. All of the Jacks walked into the disappearing mist before a few seconds later, Jack, dressed in nothing but tattered pants, his hat and his daggers strapped to his sides, walked out of it, giving a tired grin as he fell onto the ground besides him.
"Good job, Jacky-boy." Holmes said with a smirk as he pulled out a flask from his jacket, uncapping it before taking a deep gulp of its contents and putting it back.
"Thanks…captain." Jack muttered as Theodore chuckled.
"Come on. Let's get some good sleep before the runic fields drop." Jack just raised a thumbs-up in acknowledgement as Holmes chuckled before a green teleportation crest appeared under them and they disappeared in a flash of green.
Ritz-Carlton, LA:
The Next Day:
Theo's POV:
"-And I delivered the final blow before Holmes sealed him away, sending him back to his cage." I finished our report to Gil as Jack and Holmes continued eating their breakfast, the holographic projection of Gil in the middle of the table nodding as he hummed.
"Well, good job, all of you. It's not every day one has to defeat a Titan, let alone one of the Four Titan Lords, the closest confidants of Kronos himself."
"Well, the fact that he kept underestimating us and treating us like dirt under his feet may have helped us a lot in the battle. If he was fighting at his full power from the start, we would have had a far harder time with him."
"This is the best news I've received this morning." He muttered with a sigh, to which we all frowned.
"What do you mean by that?" Holmes asked and he sighed before he spoke.
"This morning, I received concerning messages from the bases stationed in the North Pole, the South Pole and the Diomede Islands. Stars and constellations are shining brightly day and night in the South Pole, freezing temperatures of -130 were reported in the North Pole and scorching temperatures of 90 ºC and higher were reported on the Diomede Islands."
"You've got to be fucking kidding me." Jack & I groaned in unison as Holmes just grimaced.
"Not just that, but there have also been reports across the entire world of the livestock of thousands of farms being found butchered the next day and entire fields of crops destroyed."
"Koios, Krios, Hyperion and Kronos." I muttered softly and Gil nodded.
"When we went to check their cages, we found them completely empty and every living being within a 5 kilometer radius of their cages slaughtered." I just shook my head at that before he turned to Jack and Holmes.
"Division 6, you are to report to the South Pole, where the captains & lieutenants of Divisions 2 & 5 will be awaiting you. I want you to do a sweep of the entirety of Antarctica and if Krios is still there, seal him away. Hephaestus has already given Division 2 the sealing supplies."
"Looks like we're going for a cold dip, Jacky-boy." Holmes said with a smirk as Jack grinned.
"I wonder if the skin of a Titan is warm." He muttered, to which I shook my head with a smile as Holmes and Gil chuckled before he turned to me.
"Theseus, you're on standby until further notice. I've already sent Division 3, 4 & 7 to the North Pole to check it and Division 1 to check out the Diomede Islands."
"You do remember how destructive Cao Cao can be, right? I'm fairly certain that he wouldn't listen to Sieg, no matter how much Sieg shouts at him."
"Don't worry. I warned him that if he causes trouble, I'll just hand his ass over to Indra. Besides, the Diomede Islands only have a little over a hundred inhabitants and those were already moved onto another uninhabited island, so they can go all out."…Yep, that would be enough to keep in line.
"Okay, then. I'll wait." I said with a nod and he smiled before he disappeared, leaving the room silent before Jack spoke.
"So…wanna play poker until our flight tomorrow?" He asked as he pulled out a deck of cards.
"I'll get the chips." I said with a grin as I stood up and walked towards the cupboards.
"And I, the alcohol." Holmes added as he walked to his room and I chuckled as Jack grinned and began shuffling the cards.
Now this is a vacation.
The Next Day, Morning:
Los Angeles International Airport:
"Well, good luck on your mission." I said with a smirk and Jack grinned as Holmes smiled. We were standing just outside the airport, with their bags still in the car as they were going to just teleport to the South Pole while I had my duffle bag in hand, ready to fly out.
"And you in yours. Relish your vacation because it's not everyday a Hunter gets a day of rest." Holmes advised and I smiled as I nodded before Jack hugged me tightly, making me chuckle as I patted him on the back.
"Good luck in keeping the town safe, Theo!"
"And you try and not to destroy half of Antarctica when you're done."
"I'll try!" He said with a cheeky grin, to which I just shook my head before I turned to Holmes, holding up a fist as he just raised an eyebrow.
"Come on. Just one." I said with a grin and he shook his head with a smile, lifting his fist up and bumping mine as I nodded.
"See you guys." I said with a nod, to which they nodded back before I walked into the airport with a smile.
Later that day, Night:
Home/ HQ, Kuoh Town:
As I unlocked the door connecting the main hallway to the garage and carried my bags out, I couldn't help but smile as I saw the three cute angel fast asleep on the ground, a blanket covering Yasaka, Rossweisse and Kunou as they quietly slept away.
Not wanting to disturb them, I softly put my bags down on the ground before skilfully putting myself in the middle of them, wrapping my arms around Yasaka & Rossweisse and placing Kunou on my lap before wrapping the blanket around all three of us.
As if knowing it was me, Kunou had a smile on as she snuggled deeper while Rossweisse locked her right hand and my left hand together and Yasaka unconsciously placed my hand on her right boob. I just rolled my eyes with a smirk before I let out a soft sigh.
"Good night, girls." I muttered softly before I closed my eyes, feeling the jet lag settling in as I fell asleep.
The Next Day, Morning:
"Theo! You're back!" Kunou's loud exclamation abruptly woke me up from a very good dream involving me, Yasaka, Rossweisse, chocolate syrup, strawberries and…a spatula?
I really have the weirdest dreams.
"Hey, Kunou." I muttered with a grin as I gave a yawn, with her giggling as she kept me wrapped up in a tight hug before I heard footsteps coming closer.
"Well, well, well. Look who finally decided to wake up." Yasaka said with a giggle and I smiled as I stood up, holding the grinning Kunou in my arms as I picked up the blankets.
"We already put your bags away." She said with a smile as I looked around for them and I nodded before following her towards the dining room, where I saw Mom and Rossweisse sitting at the table. Mom grinned at Rose's blush as I smiled and leaned down to give her a kiss on the cheek, placing Kunou down next to her as I sat at the head of the table and Yasaka sat down on my direct right next to Mom.
"So, how was the mission?" Mom asked as I picked up my utensils and began eating.
"Better than we were expecting. We managed to seal away Iapetus without receiving any injuries, though now we learned that the other three Titan Lords along with Kronos have been unsealed."
"What?" Mom asked in shock, the other three looking just as shocked as I smiled.
"Don't worry. Gil has sent out the Division leaders throughout the world towards where he believes they might be. He also said that I had to be on standby just in case." I said as I ate and she smiled before she nodded.
"Forgive me for asking, but how powerful are the Titans exactly?" Rossweisse asked and I sighed as Mom answered.
"Each are about roughly as strong as an Olympian God, with the Four Titan Lords and Oceanus being on the same level as Hades and Poseidon & Kronos being equal to Zeus in power." She said and Rossweisse nodded before I smiled.
"But don't worry. The Division Commanders are Satan-Class and higher and each one is either a legendary figure in history or an inheritor/ descendant of a legendary figure, so they'll be fine if they work together to take them down."
"Not to mention that three of the Top Four High-Level Longinus are also just lieutenants in the Organization." Mom piped up with a smile, to which the others just stared at her in shock before turning me as I nodded.
"Like I said, the Organization is powerful enough to take on the Titan Lords and win."
"…What is your exact ranking in the Organization, Theseus?" Yasaka asked and I smiled.
"Commander of the Elite 1st Division & Vice Supreme Commander of the Organization." I said, to which Kunou just gave a look of awe as Yasaka shook her head with a smile.
"And I'm dating you."
"Along with Rose. Can't leave her out, which reminds me. Are you free later tonight?"
"H-Huh?" She stuttered in shock, making Mom and Yasaka giggle as I smirked.
"Remember the promise I made when I left for the US?"
"T-The date?" She asked and my smirk turned into a grin as I nodded.
"Yeah, from what I hear, there's a little festival taking place tonight and I wanted to see if you wanted to go."
"T-That sounds great. I'd like that." She said with a smile and I chuckled as I nodded as we continued eating.
Later that day, Afternoon:
HQ/ Home's Backyard:
*DING* *DING* *DONG*
"I'm coming!" I shouted as I walked towards the door, everyone watching a movie in the living room as I opened the door, frowning slightly at Kiryu and Kazuma standing in front of the door, both of them leaning over as they tried to catch the breath
"Hey, it's the Imp Lizards!" I exclaimed with a happy grin.
"The Demon Dragons!" Kazuma exclaimed back with an irritated frown before his eyebrow twitched as he noticed my grin.
"I should have known you would do that." I just shrugged before I leaned against the door.
"So, what can I help you Demon Dragons with?" Both of them just glanced at each other before Kiryu sighed and began speaking.
"The Boss sent us here as fast as possible. About 60 SUV's just blocked off the streets around the Yamaguchi Enterprises as well as making blockades around it to make sure no vehicle can go in or out." I frowned at that before extending my senses to outside Yamaguchi Enterprises and sure enough, I counted roughly 480 men surrounding the building and the streets, each of them equipped with a rifle and watching all of the exits and windows.
"Everyone! I have to go save the Yakuza again! Rose, I'll be back in time for our date!" I said as I placed my hands on their shoulders.
"Okay, Theo!/ Come back safe!/ Kick their butts!/ Give them an ass-whooping they'll never forget!" Yasaka, Rose, Kunou & Mom shouted back respectively right before a green teleportation crest appeared under us and we disappeared.
Time to go kill some Mafia.
A/N: And there we go! Another chapter done!
So…about that extra chapter…I've decided on a plan that might strain my imagination but also keep me on my toes. Basically, instead of making it a double upload on the same day…what if I upload twice a week?
Like say, I do my usual Friday/ Saturday/ Sunday upload(depending on where you are in the world) and then I'd upload again like 2 or 3 days later. This sounds stupid as I'm typing it out, but it also sounds like it might work, so I'll give that a try.
