With Issei:
Issei's POV:
Kuoh Town:
[Partner, behind us near the bookstore. Another one.] Ddraig said to me and I groaned as I gave a quick glance back, sighing as I saw a blonde haired guy following after me while also glancing through the bookstore's display window
'How long?' I asked as I walked into an alleyway before leaping up to the roof, frowning as the same guy quickly ran into the same alleyway before cursing as he saw the busy street on the other side of it and walked back out.
[That one's been following you ever since you walked out of your school.] I just grumbled at that as I followed the same guy and frowned as I saw him meet up with four other blonde dudes.
I have to admit, they were good-looking as they drew giggles and blushes from the groups of teenage girls walking past them, but I was more focused on the fact that each one of them were a guy that followed me in the past before I shook them off. Not just that, but I could feel the weak Holy energy coming off from them and the slight bigger Holy energy signature coming from their pockets.
'Why are exorcists following after me? Did I upset the church in any way, Ddraig?' I asked him and frowned as he spoke.
[No, not at all, which means three things. Either they know about me and the Boosted Gear and are trying to see if you're either a threat to the town or not or…]
'Or they're rogue exorcists who want to recruit me and/ or assassinate me to either get back into the church or they're affiliated with the Grigori and they want to recruit me.' I finished his thought with a sigh and he hummed in agreement as I followed the men silently up until they arrived at the abandoned church just on the outskirts of town. My frown deepened as I sensed even more weak Holy energy signatures residing inside of the church along with four larger ones.
Three of them were relatively stronger than the rogue exorcists, which meant that they were probably exorcists with named Holy Swords, which I didn't think was possible since according to Ddraig, Holy Swords will deny rogue exorcists from wielding them if they're no longer affiliated with the Vatican, or the three signatures were Fallen Angels, which supported the Grigori theory even more.
The last signature was the one I was a little concerned about, because it was nearly triple as strong as the three Fallen Angels, which meant that this one signature was probably a 4-winged angel, if not more.
'Ddraig, where would you gauge the last energy?'
[Hm…your four-winged estimation was most likely correct, though it's nothing to be worried about at your level.] I hummed as I nodded, glancing at the groups of exorcists entering and leaving the building before I shook my head and turned to walk away from the church.
Maybe, I can get Sensei to take them out for me.
Later that day, Afternoon:
With Theo:
Kuoh Academy Track Field:
Theo's POV:
"And nice job, ladies! Good work, everyone. That's a collective average of 10 minutes 14 seconds, which is 31 seconds faster than the one you achieved last week." I exclaimed with a grin as the final girl finished my small obstacle course, which was a 100 metre sprint, 100 hurdle jumping and 50 meter tire hops back and forth two times.
"Woo!" The girls, along with their parents cheered and I chuckled as I finshed writing down their results before I nodded.
"Now, since this is the final period and I'm sure your parents want to talk with you all, you're free until the final bell, so go ahead and wash off the sweat."
"Because we stink?" Akeno asked with a giggle and I chuckled.
"Your words, Akeno. Not mine." I said with a shrug, making her pout as the class and parents giggled before the girls went to wash off while the parents conversed amongst each other as I smiled.
Man, who knew that being a teacher was so easy yet so much fun?
I blinked as I felt my phone vibrate and pulling it out discreetly, I glanced at the text message at the top of it before I frowned.
Hey, Sensei.
Found a few exorcists and Fallen Angels from the Grigori taking refuge in the abandoned church on the outskirts of town. They've been following me for the past week.
Thought that you wanted to know about it.
'What are the Grigori doing here? Could they be here for Satanael? No, if they were here for him, they would have just went after him instead of holing up in the Church. Then, are they here to spy on Rias and Sona, but what good would that do them if they won't be able to do anything against the girls?…Something isn't right here.'
Hey, Issei.
Keep an eye on the Church and let me know if any other people come to town to join them. I wrote back and smiled as I saw the quick return.
Sure thing. I'll keep you up to date.
"Issei should be able to take them on if anything goes wrong, so now, I need to talk with Satanael." Thankfully, the parents were not trying to talk with me about their children's marks, so as soon as all of them left, I quickly disappeared in a bright green flash towards where I could feel Satanael's energy.
A few seconds later, I reappeared in front of a black gate, dark gray brick walls surrounding a large two story house with a small lawn as I smiled and rang the gate.
"Hello. Who's there?" Satanael's voice came through the intercom next to the gate and I chuckled.
"Hey, Satanael. Can I come in? I have something I want to talk with you about." I said and I heard Satanael chuckle before the gate unlocked, with me smiling as I opened it and walked through right before it snapped back shut and locked behind me.
"Did you miss me that much already?" Satanael asked with a smile from where he was leaning against his front door and I chuckled as I walked up to him.
"Nah, I just found out about something and I thought you might want to know about it."
"Is it related to the past?" He asked with a frown and I nodded, making him sigh as he nodded and gestured for me to come in. Following him in and closing the door behind me, I followed him down a hallway and into the living room, with him sighing as he sta down in the loveseat and I sat down on the sofa opposite of him.
"So, what's happened?"
"My student has discovered that the Grigori has placed a cell in the abandoned church on the outskirts of town and according to him, they've been following him for the past week. I wanted to know if you knew anything about it."
"If I did, I would have told you about it the moment we met. Besides, my family all think that I was killed by you during our battle, so there's no need for them to be here for me, if that's your next question." I sighed as I nodded before I stood up.
"Well, that's all I had to ask. Also, do you think Azazel would place a group here if he found out that a Longinus was in this town?" I asked and Satanael chuckled as he nodded.
"My older brother would come here himself if he thinks a Longinus Gear is in Kuoh Town. However, if he's not at the very least 10% sure, he'll place a few low level angels in town to search it for him and get him more information. Why do you ask?" He asked with a frown and I chuckled as I shook my head.
"No reason. I was just curious." I said and he just raised an eyebrow before he shook his head.
"No need to tell me. Like I told you, I want nothing to do with the supernatural world anymore. The only thing I'm worried about is my daughter."
"Speaking of which, where is the chibi-rabbit?" I asked with a smirk and he chuckled as we stood up.
"At her friends' house. They're either talking about boys or studying, whichever of the two interests them more." I chuckled at that before he held out his hand and I smiled as I shook his hand.
"Well, I got to go. Otherwise, the girls will be upset about me staying out for too long."
"You know, a warning about you being with the Strongest Female Youkai in the World and a Valkyrie would have been nice." He said with a glare and I gave an amused smirk as I shrugged.
"Surprise." I said with mock excitement and he sighed.
"Forget what I said. You haven't matured whatsoever." I chuckled and he just smirked as my bright green magic crest appeared under me.
"Well, if anything happens, I'll notify you about it."
"I'll appreciate that." He said and I smiled before the crest flashed and I disappeared.
Kuoh Academy Track Field, Kuoh Academy:
Reappearing on the field once more, I saw the empty field and sighed as I stretched my arms above my hand, giving a satisfied groan as I felt my back pop before I walked off of the field and towards the parking lot.
"Hey! Theo! What took you so long?!" Kunou exclaimed as I walked through the main building and into the parking lot, smiling as I saw her, Yasaka and Rossweisse waiting at the car.
"Ah, sorry. I had to go speak with an old friend about something." I said as I took out my keys and unlocked the car, making Kunou pout as Yasaka and Rossweisse giggled.
"Then why couldn't I go with you?!" She asked after I put everyone's bags in the trunk and climbed into the driver seat.
"We both now your mom will rip my limbs off if I took you to a dangerous place without her knowing."
"Skin you alive, rip your limbs off and then dip you in saltwater to make the pain even worse." Yasaka corrected with a smile, making me raise an eyebrow at Kunou, who just gave a sheepish giggle.
"Don't worry, Theo. I'll protect you from her if she does." Rossweisse chimed in with a smile, making Yasaka giggle as I smiled.
"Ah, my hero." I said with an over-exaggerated swoon, making her nod as I started the car and slowly drove out of the parking lot before heading home.
One Month Later, Late Afternoon:
Theo's Home/ HQ:
"So, have they followed you ever since you told them about me?" I asked Issei as we sat in the backyard of the house, smirking as Kunou ate a bowl of mochi while sitting next to me.
"Yeah, a few times they've been following me and this time, they've been following me in groups of four. Their usual formation is one walking a few meters in front of me, two on the rooftops hidden under illusion magic and one walking behind me far away while still being able to see me."
"So, how did you manage to shake them every time?"
"Walk to the abandoned warehouse area near the outskirts of the city and the one in front has to move if he didn't want to inform me of him being there. Then, the other three can be tricked with a basic illusion and duplication spell that turns me invisible while creating a clone for them to follow." He said with a shrug and I smirked.
"I thought that you were unable to use any kind of magic?" I asked and he grinned.
"Oh, magic is still very hard for me, but basic illusion and duplication spells are the only type of magic I can do with Ddraig's help." He said and I hummed as I nodded before I spoke.
"Well, they're either going to keep on spying on you or take you out whenever you lower your guard, so we might as well go see what they want. Meet me at the arcade near the church tomorrow and we'll go and figure why they're here." Issei nodded as he stood and created an emerald crest under him before he stopped.
"And what if they don't want to talk?" He asked and I grinned. "Then we blow the place sky high and call it a day."
"Now, I'm really hoping they don't tell us anything." I just chuckled at his words before he disappeared, leaving me and Kunou sitting on the church before she spoke up.
"I'm going to tell Kaa-chan that you're going all psycho again."
"15 scoops of vanilla-chocolate with everything you want on it and you'll keep quiet."
"Deal." She agreed instantly and I chuckled as I stood up, with her jumping onto my back while still carrying her now empty bowl.
"Now to the kitchen, my steed! I'm hungry and Kaa-chan said she's making chocolate-chip muffins."
"Well, why didn't you say so?" I said with an excited grin, Kunou giggling gleefully as we rushed to the kitchen.
A/N: So, another short chapter, because as you guys may know from the lack of upload on Wednesday…
I was struggling( and I mean STRUGGLING) to even write this chapter because not a single idea came to mind whenever I tried writing, but I've revised the timeline and canon's going to start a little early in this story!
Now, I won't say anything and if I keep writing, I might spoil it, so as always, read, enjoy, review and I'll see you all in the next chapter.
Until then…
Ba-Bye~!
