Two Months Later:
Kuoh Academy Track Field, Kuoh Town:
3rd Person POV:
"How was the date with Rossweisse-sensei, coach?" Yusada asked with a smile as she finished her laps and Theo just rolled his eyes as he marked her time down.
"I don't see how that's any of your business, Yusada." Theo said with a smirk as he noted the times of those that were finishing as Yusada giggled.
"Come on, Yusa-chan. We both know Sensei won't tell us anything about his personal life if he doesn't want to." Yamada said as she skipped to us and I grinned as I gave her a thumbs-up while Yusada pouted.
"Besides, I'm sure shitty coach probably failed to impress her." Shiho said as she walked towards us and I chuckled as I patted her on the head.
"Don't worry, chibi rabbit. Your coach knows how to woo the ladies and keep them happy." I said, making her pout as she swiped my hand away before styling her hair back to normal as Yusada and Yamada giggled.
"And done!" Shigiru exclaimed as she jumped over the finish line, making me smile as I nodded before noting down her time before I looked around.
"Why is Gremory taking so long?" I frowned as I watched Rias jogging at the far back in last place, Akeno, Sona and Tsubaki already finished with their laps as they watch her run with concerned frowns and even Kiyome, one of her biggest rivals, looked a bit concerned.
"We don't know. She just came to school like that this morning and she hasn't talked to anyone. Not even to Akeno, Souna or Tsubaki." Yusada said with a frown and I hummed before I nodded.
"Okay, then. Tell everyone that when they finish, they can go take a shower. I need to speak with Gremory." I said and they all nodded before they walked towards where most of the class were resting. As everyone slowly finished, I saw Rias just slowly jogging towards the finish line and I frowned as I watch not even say anything as she just turned to walk to the locker rooms.
"Gremory!" I exclaimed, making her stop in her tracks as she turned to look at me and I frowned as I saw her slightly red and puffy eyes. I sighed as I walked closer, with her staring in confusion before her eyes widened as I wrapped her in a hug.
"U-Um…sensei? I don't think this is appropiate." She tried to joke with a smile, but I shushed her.
"It's okay. Just let it out. I'll be a shoulder for you to cry on."
"E-Everything's fine, Sensei." She tried to say with a smile, but I just stared at her as I watch her slowly break.
"Something is bothering you and you're slowly breaking down, so just let it out." I said and she was staring at me as the tears slowly grew before she nodded, resting her face on my chest and I smiled softly as I felt my shirt growing more and more wet.
"Shhhh. It's okay. Everything will be okay. Just let it out. Sensei's here to protect you." That made her choke/ giggle and I smiled as she quieted down, just hugging me tightly. We were probably just standing in the field for maybe five minutes before she slowly pulled back. I smiled as I saw the slight smile on her face and wiped the tears away.
"A shoulder to cry on always works, huh?" I said with a smile and she giggled as she nodded.
"Now, what's bothering you?" I asked and her smile dropped as she frowned.
"It's just business with my clan, sensei. Nothing I can't fix myself." She said and I frowned before I sighed and nodded.
"Okay, but if you need me to do anything…"
"Can you join my peerage?" She asked hopefully and I smirked.
"We both know Yasaka would kill us as soon as you try to make me a member of your peerage." She just giggled as she shrugged.
"Didn't hurt to try. See you tomorrow, sensei…and thanks for the hug." She said and I smiled as I nodded before she skipped off the field with a smile.
'Perhaps, Yasaka was treating her a little too badly…If I say that to her, I'm getting fireballs thrown at me from all directions before I could even blink.' I thought to myself with a smirk before I shook my head and walked around to pick up the cones.
Later that day, Afternoon:
Theo's Home/ HQ:
"So, hm~how was your day?" Rossweisse asked as I softly massaged her shoulders and I were seated in the living room and Yasaka and Kunou were out on a mother-daughter shopping trip…for the fourth time this month.
Really, how many pieces of clothing does a woman need?
"It was all good. Just Rias having a bit of trouble with her family, but I gave her a pep talk and she's alright now."
"I thought you hated Devils?" Rose asked as she turned slightly to stare at me with a frown and I snorted as I shook my head.
"I don't hate them. I just dislike the fact that they try to use Humanity to replenish their numbers without giving a person their consent or agreeing to become a Devil. If they had the humility to ask the person and give the reincarnated Devils a chance to rise in their ranks, then I would have had no problem whatsoever in what they were doing." I said, to which she nodded.
"I suppose that is true." She muttered and I chuckled before we turned to the side as Yasaka and Kunou walked in, Kunou giggling as she hid something behind her back while Yasaka just smiled.
"Hey, ladies. Where have you two been?" I asked with a smirk as I stopped my massage and sat down next to Rossweisse, with her giggling as she turned to face them. Yasaka sat down on the sofa on my free side and Kunou giggled as she came to a stop in front of me.
"Ta-da! We bought you something!" She exclaimed happily as she held out a jewellery box and I glanced at it before back up at her face, with her smiling happily as I took it softly.
"She spent her entire allowance to buy this for you." Yasaka said and my eyes widened as I looked at Kunou, who giggled as she nodded and smiled happily.
"You always take me out for ice cream, so I thought I should get you a gift too."
"…Oh, you're far too precious and innocent for this world." I muttered with a smile, making the two ladies giggle as Kunou grinned. Opening the box, I smiled as I saw a watch and a necklace inside.
The watch's straps was made with a black leather, with fox insignias made out of gold carved into the leather straps. The lug and case were also made out of gold and the dial was a dark crimson, with the dial and the hands being a bright gold.
The necklace was made out of gold, a golden fox head with rubies as its eyes and diamonds used as its teeth hanging off the front as the centrepiece and my eyes widened before I looked up at the grinning Kunou.
"How much is your allowance?"
"About ¥16 000 000 a month and I only use about ¥3 000 000 a month, so I had a lot saved up." She said and I smiled as I shook my head, carefully taking out the watch and putting it on my wrist before taking out the necklace and putting it around my neck.
"I love them both. Thank you, Kunou." I said as I opened my arms with a smile and she giggled as I hugged her before giving her a kiss on the forehead.
"Aw~Where's my hug?" Yasaka asked with a pout and I rolled my eyes as Kunou glared cutely at her.
"Fine~But I want more hugs tonight." "Me too!" Rose chimed in and I chuckled as I nodded. "Sure, but don't complain tomorrow if you're too tired." I said with a teasing smirk, Kunou glancing at us confusedly as Yasaka giggled and Rose blushed.
Two Months Later:
"And so, we say goodbye to our 3rd Year students, who have graduated and are now embarking on a new chapter in their lives. We wish you nothing but the best of luck and hope to see you all prosper."
"Wooo!" The 3rd Year girls cheered as they all threw their caps in the air, the crowd cheering as everyone clapped and celebrated with them. I chuckled as I saw the Soccer Club hugging each other in celebration and smiled as Shiho turned to give me one final glare as I waved at her.
"Another year, another group of prosperous students set out into the tough world." Ms. Nanao said with a smile as she watched the students and I smiled as I nodded.
"Maybe being a teacher isn't such a bad thing, after all." I said, to which she smiled as she held out a stack of papers.
"I've already asked Rossweisse-sensei and Yasaka-sensei, so you're the last one." She said as she held out the papers and I smiled as I took them from her.
"And you already know my answer, Nanao-san. I'll be seeing you next year then." I said with a smile and she giggled as she nodded before she glanced behind me.
"Speaking of next year…" She said as she looked behind me and I turned before I smiled as I saw Yasaka, Kunou and Rossweisse walking towards us.
Yasaka was dressed in a crimson dress that showed a bit of cleavage and red heels. Kunou was dressed in a similar crimson dress just like her mother's, though she also had a fur-collared black jacket on.
Rossweisse was dressed in a long-sleeved silver blouse that was open at her shoulders and showcased a bit of cleavage, a dark grey skirt that stopped just above her knees and silver high heels.
"Until next year, Richards-sensei." Nanao said with a smile and I smiled as I nodded, with her walking away before I turned and walked towards the girls. Kunou rushed towards me and I smiled as I picked her up, making her giggle before I turned to the amused ladies.
"So, with this year finished, I suppose my contract is ending as well." I said with a smile, making Yasaka and Rossweisse frown as Kunou frowned in sadness.
"D-Does…does that mean you're leaving?" She asked and I grinned as I shook my head.
"Nope, I called Gil last night and since Kuoh Town is slowly becoming a centre point with how much supernatural activity has appeared since I arrived in town, we've decided to open a headquarters in the city." I said with a smile and Kunou cheered happily as the ladies sighed.
"And here I thought you were leaving us for another floozy." Yasaka muttered in mock-relief and I raised an eyebrow at that.
"Leave two goddesses for a random woman? Are you kidding me?" I asked and she smiled as Rossweisse giggled before Kunou spoke.
"So…can we go for ice cream now?" She asked hopefully and I rolled my eyes as Yasaka and Rossweisse giggled.
"You know what? Maybe going back to HQ wasn't such a bad idea after all."
"Too late now!" She exclaimed happily as she hung off of my shoulders and I gave a dramatic sigh as we walked towards the car.
A Week Later, Afternoon:
HQ Backyard:
"Argh!" Issei screamed as I spun him by his leg before tossing him at the ground, Issei managing to flip through the air and land on his feet before he grunted as I landed and stomped a foot on his feet.
"Issei-san!" Asia exclaimed from the sides and I smiled as I shook my head, taking my foot off and letting him get to his feet as Asia quickly rushed towards him. Kunou just giggled at Asia's worrying as she ate a plate of dango sticks in her lap.
"I-It's…okay, Asia." Issei said with a pained smile, making her frown cutely as a silver ring with a blue-green gem appeared on each of her middle fingers before a light green glow covered Issei and he sighed in relief as his wounds visibly disappeared.
"You shouldn't heal him that much, Asia. If he's in battle, the enemy won't give you a chance to heal him and rushing out to try and heal him puts you at even more risk."
"B-B-But…I want to be useful." She muttered and I sighed as I knelt besides them.
"If you want to help Issei, you can figure out a way for you to heal from a distance as well as ways to hide yourself or become invisible whenever the enemy tries to find you." I said with a smile and she nodded before I turned to the grinning Issei.
"You, on the other hand, need a lot more work. You're an Ultimate-Class fighter yet your skills are subpar for someone at that level. Boost and Transfer aren't going to be helpful when you're faced against someone that can kick your ass before you can even blink." His grin dropped as he frowned before he sighed.
"Well, I have another move…"
"But…" I trailed off and he gave a sheepish giggle as he rubbed the back of his head.
"It only strips the clothing off of a person."
"That's an idiotic spell." Rossweisse said as she and Yasaka walked out of the house, with her carrying a tray of glasses filled with juice and Yasaka carrying a plate of sandwiches.
"Well, as stupid as it sounds, I can see the benefit." I said with a nod as Asia, Issei and I stood up and walked to sit down on the porch, thanking the two as I took a glass and a slice before I began eating.
"And what benefits are there, besides the ones you're thinking of?" Yasaka said with a smirk and I chuckled.
"Well, if he can figure out the deeper mechanics of this ability, what's stopping him from tearing the enchantments off of weapons and armour? Better yet, he can rip off the armour a person might be wearing or the scales of a dragon to expose the soft flesh underneath." I explained and Issei just stared at me before he grinned.
"I just made it because I thought it would be funny to strip random people, but now I need to train it. Richards-san, Rossweisse-san, thank you for the meal, but I need to go train. It was nice seeing you Kunou-chan…and you too, Sensei." Issei said excitedly as he bowed to everyone before quickly rushing out.
"T-Thank ywou forr the foodt." Asia thanked Rossweisse and Yasaka with a full mouth and puffed cheeks before she rushed after Issei, the four of us watching them leave before I spoke.
"Everyone but Issei knows she likes him, right?"
"Yep/ Uh-huh/ Clear as day." Kunou, Yasaka and Rossweisse said respectively and I nodded in agreement before I grinned as I turned to Rossweisse.
"So, you want to spar?"
"Right now?" She asked and I nodded.
"Yeah, I've realized that I haven't seen how you fight, so I'm curious to see."
"Um, okay, but don't have high expectations. I'm not that good."
"You were the bodyguard of Odin. You're going be better than most Valkyries." I said with a smile and she sighed as she smiled and nodded, the two of us walking to stand in the middle of the backyard as Kunou and Yasaka got themselves comfy for the battle.
A light blue Nordic sigil appeared under her, a bright silver glow covering her body before it dimmed down and my eyes widened as I heard Yasaka whistle.
A set of Valkyrie armour enveloped her body. A breastplate, fingerless gauntlets, boots and hip guards, all white, covered her form with wing-shaped hair clips on her head. Under the armour, she wore a black leotard, black thigh-high stockings and a pale blue cloth under her hip guards, all of which also had pink lacing running along them.
"I have to ask if the men in Asgard are blind, because you just got far more beautiful than ever." Rossweisse turned a bright red as I heard Kunou giggled.
"Hey, I'm the main wife~!" Yasaka whined from the side and I chuckled as Rossweisse turned even more red.
"How about a movie night?!" I asked, to which she smiled happily as she nodded, making me sigh with a smile and Kunou giggle before I turned to the blushing Rossweisse.
"So, you ready?"
"As I ever can be." She muttered and I gave a reassuring smile as I nodded.
"In three…two…one…begin!" As soon as I stopped talking, a sheet of ice appeared under my feet and carried me skywards as dozens of elemental blasts shattered the ground where I stood, with me staring at Rossweisse and the dozens of magic sigils floating around her.
She gave me a cheeky grin and I smirked before I disappeared from the ice, flying towards her and waving my hand as dozens of ice drills appeared floating around me before spinning rapidly and rocketing towards her. She just smiled as she snapped her fingers and the sigils floated to be in front of her, expanding to double their size before linking together, forming a dense barrier in front of her.
A protective barrier appeared around Yasaka and Kunou to protect them from the loud screeching ripping through the air as my ice drills fractured her shield before they shattered, shards of ice slowly floating around her before they all turned back into water and formed a water bubble around her. Rossweisse floated in the water before a blue sigil appeared under her and she disappeared out of the sphere, reappearing above me before a light grey cube formed around me.
Looking around at the cube, I chuckled as I noticed the Nordic runes imprinted onto the corners of the cube before I pulled a fist back, a white aura with light blue fractures running across it cladding my fist before I sent it flying forward. The sphere cracked before shattering, Rossweisse looking surprised at seeing her barrier cage shatter as I smiled at her before I disappeared, reappearing in front of her with the white aura now covering my body and as I punched forward, I stopped just short of hitting her.
That didn't stop the destructive shock wave from ripping through the air around us and destroying her magic sigils as I grinned at her, though her grin made me chuckle as I looked down at her hands on my chest, light blue Nordic runes covering my body and pulsing as I felt the power behind them.
"Not bad." I said with a nod as I dispersed my aura and she smiled and nodded as the runes shattered, a light silver glow covering her body once more before she transformed back into her previous outfit.
"Nicely done, both of you. I didn't expect you to be able to turn it into a draw, Rose." Yasaka said as we sat down next to her and Kunou, making Rossweisse blush as I chuckled.
"The only way for the battle to end was for him to beat me, but I also know that Theo wouldn't actually attack us, so I just had to wait until he was close enough and then, I just had to be quick enough to force a tie. I didn't even see him move until he slowed down right in front of me." She admitted, to which Yasaka nodded.
"Yeah, he takes it too easy on us sometimes." She said as she gave me a piercing stare and I shrugged.
"I don't want to hurt either of you too badly by just attacking recklessly, so I pull my punches whenever I can. It's just integrated into my mind by now." I said, to which she sighed as Rossweisse gave me a pat on the back with a smile.
"Come on, Theo! You get to fight me next!" Kunou said excitedly as she ran out onto the backyard and I glanced at Yasaka, who smiled and nodded.
"Sure thing, but I'm not going easy on you!" I said, t which she grinned as I walked out onto the field.
"And if I win, you buy me ice cream, right?!" She asked and I smiled as I nodded.
"Sure thing! In three…two…one…go!" I began the fight and she was all too eager as she sent a barrage of blueish-white fireballs blasting through the air towards me.
Safe to say, I didn't win this one out of necessity.
A/N: And now, we're finally done with the first year! Thirty chapters ain't that bad for the year.
