So this is takes place two weeks after the defeat of Z-One. Also the monsters are real not holograms and they don't turn blue when in defense mode they stay their normal colors. Shout out and special thanks to Bopdog111.
In a dark and mysterious realm which appeared to be an eternal void of darkness, there stood an unknown figure who seemed to be looking for something. As the figure looked around it noticed something. An opening. As the figure approached the opening it noticed that it led to another world.
"So this is the world I had sensed." The figure said to itself. "Equestria." The figure let out an evil chuckle. "My enemies may have defeated me once but when I access this world I will gain immeasurable power and will rule all!" The figure laughed and approached the opening.
But as they tried to go through the opening they found that they couldn't enter and were blocked by an invisible force field.
"Ah, I should have known." The figure said. "My time here in the Shadow Realm has weakened me to the point where I'm not strong enough to escape."
The opening then disappeared. "No worries, eventually I will be strong enough to gain access to Equestria and escape the Shadow Realm, but first I must regain my strength. So rest easy beings of Equestria, because soon you will fall!" The figure laughed manically.
Meanwhile high up in the sky beyond even Cloudsdale, Ancient Fairy Dragon the Guardian of Equestria slept peacefully, but her sleep was disturbed when she sensed a disturbance. She immediately jolted awake when she sensed something. "A threat." She told herself.
Meanwhile in the world of Humans. There were two kids Leo and his twin sister Luna. They were just coming home after a day at Duel Academy. When they got back they were greeted by their friends Tanner and Yanagi. Ever since Yusei asked them to watch over Leo and Luna, Tanner and Yanagi had moved in with them because their parents were never around and Yanagi would even tell Luna and Leo stories about his Archeological world adventures before bed.
"Leo, Luna, you're home." Said Yanagi.
"How was Duel Academy?" Tanner asked.
"It was great." Leo said. "I actually won a duel."
"Good job kid." Tanner said.
"Well wash up and change your clothes you two." Yanagi said.
"You got it." Luna agreed.
So Luna and Leo went and changed into their normal clothes. While Luna was in her room a familiar voice called out to her.
"Luna."
"Ancient Fairy Dragon?"
"Luna I need your help." Ancient Fairy Dragon said.
"What's the matter?" Luna asked.
"It is my home." Ancient Fairy Dragon said. "It is in danger."
"The Spirit World?" Luna asked.
"No not the Spirit World, another world." She explained. "My true home."
"The Spirit World isn't your true home?" Luna asked.
"No Luna I only watch over the Spirit World." Ancient Fairy Dragon admitted. "My true home is a magical, enchanted, and majestic land known as Equestria."
"Well what's wrong?" Luna wondered.
"There is a threat against Equestria." Ancient Fairy Dragon revealed. "I have sensed that an evil from another world is trying to gain access to Equestria." Ancient Fairy Dragon continued. "I do not know who or what it is but I do know that this threat is sinister."
"So how can I help?" Luna asked.
"Luna you must come with me to Equestria in order to protect it and its residents from the evil when it comes." Ancient Fairy Dragon instructed. "We must leave right away."
"But if the evil hasn't appeared yet why do we have to go now?" Luna wondered.
"Because the only reason the evil hasn't appeared yet is because it is weak and needs to become stronger in order to gain access to Equestria otherwise it would appear now." She answered.
"So you must go there now so you can become stronger as well."
"I see." Luna understood. "Okay then let's go."
"Wait Luna there's one more thing you should know." Ancient Fairy Dragon warned.
"What?"
"Once we leave, I cannot bring you back home until after the threat has been defeated and Equestria is safe." Ancient Fairy Dragon told Luna. "So you will have to stay there, and I'm not sure for how long. Also Equestria has its own dangers to offer and you may have to face them as well"
"Oh." Luna said getting nervous.
"I understand if you do not wish to do this, but I need an answer now."
Luna took a deep breath and made her choice. "Ancient Fairy Dragon, you know very well that you can always count on my help. I'll go."
"Thank you Luna." Ancient Fairy Dragon said.
Luna then got out a back pack and put some stuff into it. A bottle of water, some snacks, a teddy bear, a picture of her and her friends and of course her duel disk and cards.
Soon Ancient Fairy Dragon's wings began glowing and a small portal appeared.
"Luna this portal will take you to Equestria."
"Wait shouldn't we tell everyone so they'll know I'm fine and where I am?" Luna asked.
"I'm sorry Luna, but this must be a secret."
"I understand." Luna said before walking through the portal and it disappeared leaving behind an empty room.
Meanwhile...
A young unicorn was reading a book.
Once upon a time in the magical land of Equestria. There were two regal sisters who ruled together and created harmony for all the land. To do this the eldest used her unicorn powers to raise the sun at dawn, the younger brought out the moon to begin the night. Thus the two sisters maintained balance for their kingdoms and their subjects. All the different types of ponies. But as time went on the younger sister became resentful. The ponies relished and played in the day her elder sister brought forth, but shunned and slept through her beautiful night. One faithful day the younger unicorn refused to lower the moon to make way for the dawn. The elder sister tried to reason with her, but the bitterness in the young one's heart had transformed her into a wicked mare of darkness. Nightmare Moon. She vowed that she would shroud the land in eternal night. Reluctantly the elder sister harnessed the most powerful magic known to ponydom. The Elements of Harmony. Using the magic of the Elements of Harmony she defeated her younger sister and banished her permanently in the moon. The elder sister took on responsibility for both sun and moon, and harmony has been maintained in Equestria for generations since.
The unicorn who read this was lavender with an indigo mane and tail with a pink and purple stripe going through them. Also on her flank was a mark known as a cutie mark. Hers was a big pink star surrounded by tiny white stars. Her name was Twilight Sparkle.
"Elements of Harmony I know I've heard of those before but where?" Twilight asked herself.
So Twilight grabbed her things and trotted along. As she walked she bumped into three other unicorns. Twinkleshine, Lemon Hearts, and Minuette.
"There you are Twilight." Said the white unicorn named Twinkleshine. "Moon Dancer is having a little get together in the west castle courtyard. Wanna come?"
The three smiled at her, Twilight just looked nervous. "Oh sorry girls, I've got a lot of studying to catch up on." Twilight said before dashing off.
Twinkleshine just sighed. "Does that pony do anything except study, I think she's more interested in books than friends."
As Twilight galloped she passed two other unicorns one waved at her but she just ignored them.
Twilight went all the way to her home in the castle and when she opened the door she knocked down her dragon assistant Spike.
"Spike! Spike!" Twilight called before noticing him on the floor. "There you are, quick find me that old copy of predictions and prophecies." She noticed a ruined present. "What's that for."
"Well it was a gift for Moon Dancer but..." Spike said.
"Oh Spike you know we don't have time for that sort of thing."
"But we're on a break."
Twilight just kept looking for her book but couldn't find it. "No. No No. No. Spike."
"It's over here." Spike said. Twilight took the book and began reading it. "Elements Of Harmony." She read. "See Mare In The Moon."
"Mare in the Moon. But that's just an old pony's tail." Spike said.
Twilight just read. "Aha the Mare in the Moon. A powerful Pony who wanted to rule Equestria and imprisoned in the moon. Legend has it that on the longest day on the thousandth year the stars will aid in her escape and she will bring nighttime eternal." Twilight had a sudden realization "Spike do you know what this means?"
"No." Spike fell from a latter he climbed but Twilight caught him.
"Take a note to the princess please." Twilight said. "My dearest teacher my continuing studies of pony magic have led me to discover that we are on the precipice of disaster."
"Hold on?" Spike asked. "Preci-"
"Threshold."
"Thre-"
"Brink?"
"Bri-"
"Uh. That something bad is about to happen."
Spike got that. "For you see the mythical mare in the moon is in fact Nightmare Moon and she's about to return to Equestria and bring with her eternal night. Something must be done to make sure this terrible prophecy does not come true." Twilight said. "I await your quick response, your faithful student Twilight Sparkle."
"Good." Said Spike.
"Send it." Twilight ordered.
"Now?"
"Of course."
"I don't know Twilight, Princess Celestia is busy getting ready for the Summer Sun Celebration and it's like the day after tomorrow." Said Spike.
"That's just it Spike." Twilight said. "The day after tomorrow is the thousandth year of the Summer Sun Celebration. It's imperative that the princess is told straight away."
"Impera-"
"Important!"
"Okay, okay." Spike sent the letter. "There it's on its way but I wouldn't hold your breath."
"Oh I'm not worried Spike the princess trusts me completely. In all the years she's been my mentor she's never once doubted me." Twilight said.
Suddenly another letter appeared. "Ah I knew the princess would wanna take immediate action."
Spike cleared his throat and read the letter. "My dearest most faithful student Twilight you know that I value your diligence and that I trust you completely." Twilight looked proud hearing this. "But you simply must stop reading those dusty old books." Twilight gasped hearing this.
Later Twilight and Spike were being taken on a flying chariot pulled by two Pegasus royal guards. "My dear Twilight there is more to a young ponies life than studying, so I'm sending you to supervise preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration in this year's location, Ponyville and I have an even more essential task for you to complete, make some friends."
Twilight just looked annoyed.
"Look on the bright side Twilight, the princess arranged for you to stay in a library. Doesn't that make you happy?."
Twilight then smiled. "Yes, yes it does. You know why, because I'm right! I'll check on the preparations as fast as I can then head straight to the library to find some proof of Nightmare Moon's return."
"Then when will you make friends like the princess said?" Spike asked.
"She said to check on preparations." Twilight said. "I'm her student, and I'll do my royal duty, but the fate of Equestria does not rest on me making friends."
"Thank you sirs." She thanked the guards.
Suddenly near the edge right outside Ponyville there was a huge flash of blinding light. When the light died down everyone was astounded.
"I guess we'd better go check that out." Twilight said nervously.
The flash of light was the portal Luna had come through and she had arrived at her destination.
"Welcome to Equestria Luna." Ancient Fairy Dragon told her.
"It's beautiful." Said Luna.
"Be warned Luna this land is also dangerous."
Suddenly Luna noticed a small glow coming from her extra deck and went to check it out. She couldn't believe what she saw.
"My friends' dragons." She said. "How and won't they realize their cards are gone?"
"Do not be alarmed Luna, these are not the cards your friends have on Earth they are the spirit cards of my fellow Signer Dragons." Ancient Fairy Dragon explained. "They will aid us in battle, while in Equestria."
"Oh." Said Luna.
"One final thing you need to know Luna." Said Ancient Fairy Dragon. "There are no humans native in Equestria."
"Wait then what exactly lives here?"
Suddenly they heard footsteps so Ancient Fairy Dragon disappeared.
Luna looked to see Twilight and Spike approaching her. Both sides were astounded to see the other.
"Uh hi." Luna said.
"Twilight, is that what I think it is?" Spike asked.
"A human child." Twilight said.
"Aha, and if I'm not mistaken you're a unicorn and a baby dragon." Luna said.
"You bet." Said Spike. "I'm Spike."
"And I'm Twilight Sparkle, but you can just call me Twilight." Twilight told her.
"Hi Twilight and Spike, I'm Luna." Luna introduced herself. "Uh pardon me for asking but how did you know I was a human, cuz I was told that there are no humans in Equestria?"
"Glad you asked Luna." Twilight said. "You see throughout Equestrian history we ponies have travelled to other worlds and have seen humans before." She explained. "Those adventures marked history and pretty much every being in Equestria knows what humans are, you're highly respected by everypony."
"Really?" Luna said amazed.
"So what brings you to Equestria?" Spike asked.
"Well it's kind of a long story." Luna said. "But what are you guys doing?"
"Well I'm not one to brag but I'm the prize pupil of Princess Celestia and she sent me to supervise preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration." Twilight explained. "But mainly I'm preparing for Nightmare Moon's return."
"Nightmare Moon?" Asked Luna.
"C'mon Twilight don't fill her head with that nonsense, Princess Celestia already told you it's just an old pony's tail." Spike said.
"Well we got work to do?" Twilight said. "See you around Luna."
"Wait, seeing as how I just got here mind if I tag along?" Luna asked. "I could use some help."
"Why not?" Said Twilight.
So Luna accompanied them.
Unbeknownst to them, they were being watched through another opening in the Shadow Realm by the unknown figure.
"Oh so this is the one Ancient Fairy Dragon chooses to defend Equestria and all of its residents from me when I gain access, a child, a little girl." The figure laughed. "What a joke, I almost feel bad."
Back with Luna and Twilight a pink pony with a darker pink poofy mane and tail, who's cutie mark was balloons came up to them.
"Maybe the ponies in Ponyville have interesting things to talk about." Spike suggested.
"Uh hi." Twilight said.
"How's it going?" Luna asked.
The pink pony just let out a huge gasp before storming off.
"Well that was interesting." Said Twilight sarcastically.
Soon the three went to what seemed to be a farm.
"Summer Sun Celebration, official overseer's checklist. Number one, banquet preparations, Sweet Apple Acres." Spike read.
"Yeehaw!" They saw an orange pony wearing a cowgirl hat with a blond mane and tail and three red apples as her cutie mark. She bucked a tree which caused apples to fall into baskets.
"She seems strong." Said Luna.
Twilight just let out a sigh. "Let's get this over with."
They walked up to the orange pony. "Good afternoon, my name is Twilight Sparkle." Suddenly the orange pony began shaking Twilight's hoof extremely fast.
"Well howdy-doo, Miss Twilight, a pleasure makin' your acquaintance." Said the pony. "I'm Applejack. We here at Sweet Apple Acres sure do like makin' new friends!"
Twilight looked nervous. "Friends, actually I-"
But the orange pony now known as Applejack cut her off. "So what can I do for you and-" She stopped when she noticed Luna. "Well chop my trees and call me sliced up bits. Am I lookin' at a human child?"
"Yeah, I'm Luna." She said. "Nice to meet you Applejack."
"The pleasure's all mine."
"Well we're or I'm here to supervise preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration and you're in charge of the food?" Twilight asked.
"We sure as sugar are care to sample some?" Applejack wondered.
"Well as long as it doesn't take too long." Twilight said.
Suddenly Applejack began ringing a triangle instrument. "Soup's on everypony."
Applejack then put the three on a picnic table.
"Now why don't I introduce you all to the Apple family." She offered.
"Thanks but I really need to hurry-" Twilight started but Applejack cut her off.
"This here's Apple Fritter. Apple Bumpkin. Red Gala. Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Caramel Apple, Apple Strudel, Apple Tart, Baked Apples, Apple Brioche, Apple Cinnamon Crisp." She took a deep breath. "Big McIntosh, Apple Bloom and..." She shoved an apple in Twilight's mouth. "Granny Smith. Up'n'attem, Granny Smith, we got guests."
Granny Smith who was green with a white mane and tail and had an apple pie as a cutie mark woke up. "Wha? Soup's on?" She said. "Here I come."
Applejack patted Twilight on the back. "Why I'd say you're already part of the family."
Twilight just spit the apple chunks out. "Okay well, I can see the food situation is handled so we'll be on our way."
"Aren't you gonna stay for brunch?" Asked Apple Bloom, who was a little yellow filly wearing a pink bow tie with a red mane and tail, who didn't have her cutie mark yet and gave them puppy eyes."
"Sorry but we have an awful lot to do." Said Twilight.
"Aww."
"Fine." Said Twilight.
"YAY!"
Later the three were in town.
"Food's all taken care of next is weather." Said Spike.
Twilight however had over eaten. "Ugh, I ate too much pie."
"I'll say, you look like you're pregnant." Luna joked.
"I'm not even in a relationship." Said Twilight.
"Hmm, there's supposed be a Pegasus pony named Rainbow Dash clearing the clouds." Spike told them.
"Well she's not doing a good job is she?" Twilight said. When suddenly out of the blue something flew right into her.
That something was a sky blue Pegasus with a rainbow colored mane and tail with a cloud that had red, yellow, and blue lightning as her cutie mark.
She laughed sheepishly. "Uh excuse me, lemme help you." She got a rain cloud and washed Twilight up with it, but it made her all wet. "Oops, I guess I over did it." She admitted. Then got an idea. She created a small twister around Twilight. "How 'bout this?" She asked. "My very own patented Rain-Blow Dry!" She told her. "No, no. Don't thank me, you're quite welcome." Suddenly she noticed her actions made Twilight's mane and tail a big puffy mess. She and Spike burst out laughing.
"Let me guess, you're Rainbow Dash." Said Twilight.
"What was your first clue?" Asked Luna. "The rainbow colored mane or the fact that she dashed right into you?"
"Yep, I'm the one and only Rainbow Dash, you've heard of me?"
"We heard your supposed be keeping the sky clear." Said Twilight with a sigh before smiling. "I'm Twilight Sparkle, and the princess sent me to check on the weather."
"Yeah, yeah, that'll be a snap." Said Rainbow. "I'll do it in a jiffy. Just as soon as I'm done practicing."
"For what?" Luna asked.
"The Wonderbolts!" She answered. "They're gonna perform at the Celebration tomorrow and I'm gonna show them my stuff."
"The Wonderbolts." Said Twilight. "The most talented flyers in all of Equestria?
"That's them."
"Pfft! Please, they'd never accept a Pegasus who can't keep the sky clear for one measly day." Said Twilight.
"Hey!" Said Dash. "I could clear this sky in ten seconds flat."
"Prove it." Twilight challenged with a smirk.
Soon Dash had cleared the sky much to the other's amazement.
"What'd I say?" She bragged. "Ten seconds flat. I'd never leave Ponnyville hanging."
"Well actually that was eleven seconds, I counted, but still." Luna applauded.
"Why thank you." Said Dash before realizing something. "Hey wait a second. Aren't you a human child?"
"You bet. I'm Luna"
"That is so awesome!" Said Dash. "I've always wanted to see a human. Almost as much as I've wanted to be a Wonderbolt."
"Well today one of your dreams came true." Said Luna.
Twilight was still astounded. Dash laughed. "You should see the look on your face. Ha you guys are a laugh Luna and Twilight Sparkle. I can't wait to hang out some more." She said before flying off.
"Wow! She's amazing!" Said Spike. He laughed at Twilight's puffy mane again. Twilight just started walking away. "Wait it's kinda pretty when you get used to it."
Later the three arrived at where the celebration would be taking place.
"Decorations." Said Spike before getting distracted. "Beautiful."
"Yes, the decor is coming along nicely." Said Twilight. "This oughta be quick. I'll be at the library in no time. Beautiful indeed."
"Not the decor." Said Spike. "Her." They all saw a white unicorn with a combed purple mane and tail with three blue diamonds as her cutie mark. She seemed to be having a hard time deciding which decoration would be best.
"No. No. No. No. Oh, goodness, no."
Spike eyes had turned into hearts. "How are my spines are they straight?" He asked as his eyes went normal again.
"No offense but maybe you should stick to female dragons." Said Luna.
Twilight just walked up to the unicorn. "Good afternoon."
"Just a moment please." Said the unicorn. "I'm in the zone, as it is." Said the unicorn. "Ah yes sparkle always does the trick, does it not? Why Rarity you are a talent. Now how can I help you-AHHH!" She screamed seeing Twilight's messed up mane and tail. "Oh my stars, darling! What ever happened to your coiffure?!" The unicorn now known as Rarity asked.
"Oh, you mean my mane?" Asked Twilight. "Oh well, it's a long story. I'm just here to check on the decorations, and then I'll be out of your hair."
"Out of my hair? What about your hair?" Rarity asked before she began pushing Twilight somewhere.
"Wait, where are we going?" Asked Twilight. "Help!"
Spike and Luna just followed. Spike looking lovestruck and Luna looking confused.
Soon they were at the Carousel Boutique Rarity's home and place of business. She was currently trying different outfits on Twilight.
"No, too green. Too yellow. Too poofy. Not poofy enough. Too frilly. Too shiny." Then she put an outfit on Twilight that seemed perfect. "Now go on my dear. You were telling me where you're from."
Twilight winced in pain as Rarity tightened the outfit. "I've... been... sent, from Canterlot... to-"
She was cut off when Rarity let go which made them both fall in opposite directions. "Canterlot?" Rarity said getting up. "Oh, I am so envious! The glamour, the sophistication! I've always dreamed of living there!" She said. Suddenly she took notice of Luna. She was too distracted earlier to notice her, but now she had. "Sweet Celestia, am I losing my mind, or are you a human child?!" Rarity asked.
"You're not losing your mind." Luna said.
"Oh I've always dreamed of meeting a human! You're so rare!" Rarity said. "Oh I can't wait to here all about what life in Canterlot and being a human is like! We're gonna be the best of friends, the three of us." Rarity said before realizing something else. "EMERALDS?! What was I thinking, let me get you some rubies." She said before leaving.
"Quick!" Said Twilight. "Before she decides to dye my coat a new color!"
"I don't think she'd do that." Luna said.
"Now where did I put that hair dye." They heard Rarity say.
"Then again." Luna said before they left.
Later they were outside. Spike who was still lovestruck was being carried by Twilight. "Wasn't she wonderful?"
"Yeah, but I still think you should stick to dragon girls." Said Luna.
"Focus, you two." Twilight said. "What's next on the list?"
"Music." Said Spike. "It's the last one."
"Ooh, I love music." Said Luna.
Then they heard birds singing. They looked to see birds performing for a yellow Pegasus pony with a pink mane and tail and three pink butterflies as her cutie mark.
Suddenly she realized something. "Oh my. Um, stop please everyone." She went up to a blue jay. "Umm, excuse me sir. I mean no offense, but your rhythm is just a teeny-tiny bit off." The blue jay understood and the Pegasus decided to continue. "Now follow me, please. A-one. A-two. A-one two three-"
But they were interrupted by Twilight. "Hello." The birds flew away and the yellow Pegasus was startled.
"Oh my. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to frighten your birds." She apologized. "I'm just here to check up on the music and it's sounding beautiful." The Pegasus didn't say anything so Twilight decided to introduce herself. "I'm Twilight Sparkle. What's your name?"
She said her name very quietly.
"I'm sorry what was that?" Twilight asked.
She whispered even quieter.
"Didn't quite catch that." Said Twilight.
The Pegasus just squeaked. The birds came back.
Feeling awkward Twilight decided to leave. "Well um, it looks like your birds are back, so I guess everything's in order. Keep up the good work."
Luna and Spike came out. "Okay that was easy." Said Twilight.
The Pegasus took notice of them and gasped. "Huh! A baby dragon and a human child! Oh, I've never seen a baby dragon before, he's so cute, and a human child, this is a dream come true!"
"Well well well!" Spike said.
"Thanks." Said Luna.
"Oh my I knew humans could talk, but I didn't know dragons could talk." Said the Pegasus. "That's just so incredibly wonderful, I don't even know what to say!"
Suddenly Twilight levitated Spike and put him on her back. "Well in that case we'd better be going." Said Twilight.
"Wait what are their names?" The Pegasus asked.
"I'm Spike."
"And I'm Luna."
"Hi Spike and Luna, I'm Fluttershy." The Pegasus now known as Fluttershy introduced herself. "What do dragon's talk about?"
"Well what do you wanna know?" Spike asked.
"Everything."
Twilight groaned knowing this was gonna take a while.
"Well, first I started out as a little purple egg."
Sometime later they were walking through town.
"And that's the story of my whole entire life. "Well up until today. Wanna hear about it?" Said Spike.
"Oh yes, please." Said Fluttershy.
Suddenly Twilight stopped.
"I'm so sorry, how'd we get here so fast?" Said Twilight as they approached the Golden Oaks Library. "This is where I'm staying while I'm in Ponyville and my poor baby dragon needs his sleep."
"No I don't." Suddenly Twilight caused Spike to fall off her. "Aww, wook at dat, he's so sweepy he can't even keep his widdle bawance."
Suddenly Fluttershy flew and picked Spike up in her hooves. "Poor thing." Said Fluttershy. "We simply must get him to bed." She flew in the library. But Twilight got her out.
"Yes, yes, we'll get right on that." She said as Luna got in the library. "Goodnight." She closed the door. The light was off so it was really dark in the library.
"Huh. Rude much?" Said Spike.
"Sorry Spike. but I have to convince the princess that Nightmare Moon is coming, and we're running out of time." Said Twilight "I just need to be alone so I can study without a bunch of crazy ponies trying to make friends all the time. Now where's the light?"
Suddenly the light flicked on and there was a whole bunch of ponies in the room.
"SURPRISE!"
This made the three surprised indeed.
"Surprise!" Said the pink pony who the group had met earlier. "Hi, I'm Pinkie Pie, and I threw this party just for you guys. We're you guys surprised? Were ya? Were ya?"
"I was." Said Luna.
"Very surprised." Said Twilight. "Libraries are supposed to be quiet."
"Well that's silly." Said Pinkie Pie. "What kind of welcome party would this be if it were quiet? I mean, duh, boring." Pinkie told them. "You see I saw you guys when you first got here, remember, you guys were like "hi" and she was like "how's it going" and I was like "huh!" Remember?" She asked. "You see I've never seen you guys before, but I knew she was a human child, and I've never seen a human before, and If I've never seen you before that means you're new, cuz I know everypony and I mean everypony, in Ponyville. And if you're new, that meant you haven't met anyone yet, and if you haven't met anyone yet, you must not have any friends, and if you don't have any friends then you must be lonely, and that made me so sad, then I had an idea, and that's why I went "huh!" I must throw a great big ginormous super-duper spectacular welcome party and invite everyone in Ponyville! See? And now you have lots and lots of friends! " Pinkie finished as Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Fluttershy appeared..
While she spoke Twilight decided to pour herself a drink. When she drank it her face became red and her eyes started to water.
"You alright, sugarcube?" Applejack asked.
Suddenly her mane and tail turned into fire and ran upstairs.
Pinkie Pie smiled. "Aww. She's so happy she's crying." Luna then looked at the bottle Twilight drank from. "Hot sauce." She read. "That explains it."
Pinkie then took the hot sauce and poured it on a cupcake before gobbling it up. The others looked at her in disgust. "What? It's good." she said with her mouth full.
As the party went on Twilight was upstairs in another room. She was laying in bed trying to get some sleep, when Spike came in.
"Hey Twilight, Pinkie Pie's starting pin the tail on the pony." He told her. "Wanna play?"
"No!" She yelled. "All the ponies in this town are crazy. Do you know what time it is?"
"It's the eve of the Summer Sun Celebration." Spike told her. "Everypony has to stay up or they'll miss the princess raise the sun. You really should lighten up Twilight it's a party." Twilight just muttered in annoyance as Spike left.
Twilight groaned. "Here I thought I'd have time to learn about the Elements of Harmony but silly me all this ridiculous friend making has kept me from it!"
Suddenly the door opened. "What is it now, Spike?" but Twilight was surprised when she saw that it was Luna. "Mind if I join you?"
"Well seeing as how it's just you, sure I could use the company." Twilight said.
"Thanks, I'm just tired and needed a quiet place to sit down." Luna said.
Luna noticed Twilight kept staring at the moon. "Is something wrong?" She asked her.
"I just can't stop thinking about Nightmare Moon." Twilight told her.
"You mentioned "Nightmare Moon" before but never really explained who that is." Luna said. "Care to enlighten me?"
"Alright." Twilight said. "It all began a thousand years ago." Twilight began telling Luna the story. "There were two Alicorn sisters."
"Uh pardon me for interrupting, but what's an Alicorn?" Luna asked.
"Oh, an Alicorn is a pony that has the horn and magic of a Unicorn, the wings and flight of a Pegasus, and the strength and power of an Earth Pony." Twilight explained.
"Wow a triple threat." Said Luna.
"Precisely." Said Twilight. "So like I said there were two Alicorn sisters. One of day. One of night." Twilight continued the story. "The older sister who was of the day had the job of raising the sun at day and setting it at night. The younger sister of the night did the opposite raised the moon at night and lowered it during the day. Which I'm sure you already guessed." Twilight told her. "So doing that they maintained balance in Equestria. But with each passing day and night the younger sister, the one of night, started to become jealous of her older sister."
"Jealous?" Said Luna. "Why?"
"Well because everypony cherished the day her sister gave, but slept during the night she offered." Twilight answered.
"Yeah that's kind of what everyone's supposed to do." Luna said.
"Well the younger sister took it too personally." Twilight said.
"I know I'll regret asking but, what did she do?" Luna said.
"One day she refused to lower the moon so the day could begin." Twilight answered. "The older sister tried to reason with her, but it was too late."
"What do you mean "it was too late?"" asked Luna.
"The anger and jealousy inside the younger sister had caused her to transform into an evil, wicked, dark mare." Said Twilight. "Nightmare Moon."
"So the younger sister was Nightmare Moon?" Said Luna.
"Yes."
"I've hear of letting your anger get the best of you but this is ridiculous." Luna said.
"It gets worse." Twilight warned. "Nightmare Moon vowed that she would shroud Equestria in an endless night forever."
"Is she insane!?" Asked Luna.
"You could say that." Twilight told her.
"So what happened next?"
"Seeing as how she had no other choice, the older sister used the most powerful magic in Equestria." Twilight answered. "The Elements Of Harmony. Using the Elements' magic she defeated Nightmare Moon and banished her, imprisoning her in the moon itself. After that the older sister took over raising and setting both the Sun and Moon and balance has been kept in Equestria ever since."
"So if that's the case and Nightmare Moon was imprisoned in the moon, then why are so worried she'll return?" Asked Luna.
"Because Luna, the legend says that on the longest day of the thousandth year, which is today, the stars will aid in Nightmare Moon's escape and she will bring everlasting night."
"What do you mean "the stars will aid in her escape?"" Luna asked.
"They'll position in a form which will allow her to be released and return to Equestria." Said Twilight.
"Oh no." Said Luna.
Twilight looked at the moon again. "I hope the princess was right. I hope it really is just an old pony tale."
"Well I can't say for sure if it's fact or fiction." Said Luna. "But if Nightmare Moon does show up, I'll know and will tell you."
"How?" Asked Twilight.
"With this." Luna showed Twilight her mark of the Crimson Dragon. "Now this'll take some explaining but Twilight this is-"
But Twilight cut her off. "The mark of the Crimson Dragon!" She shouted. "Luna you're a Signer?!"
"You know?" Asked Luna. "How?"
"I study up on it." Twilight answered.
"Well then I guess I don't have to explain it then."
"Nope." Said Twilight. "That mark will warn you of upcoming danger."
"You bet." Said Luna. "So it'll tell me if Nightmare Moon is coming."
"Well that makes me feel slightly better." Twilight said. "I just hope-" Suddenly Spike came in.
"C'mon, you two, it's time to watch the sunrise."
Soon they were all at Town Hall for the celebration.
Pinkie Pie was excited. "Isn't this exciting? Are you excited, cuz I'm excited, I've never been so excited. Well except for that time I saw you guys walk into town and I went "HUH!" But I mean really who can top that?"
Suddenly the ceremony began. The mayor of Ponyville Mayor Mare appeared. "Fillies and gentlecolts, as mayor of Ponyville, it is my great pleasure to announce the beginning of the Summer Sun Celebration!"
"In just a few moments our town will witness the magic of the sunrise and celebrate this, the longest day of the year!"
While the mayor spoke Twilight looked at the moon she noticed the stars were aligning and that the shadow of the mare on the moon vanished.
"Uhh." Luna placed her hand on her arm in pain.
"Luna what's wrong?" Twilight asked.
"My mark, it's trying to warn me of... danger." Said Luna.
"And I think I know what it is." Said Twilight.
"And now it is my great honor to introduce to you the ruler of our land, the very pony who gives us the sun and the moon each and every day, the good, the wise, the bringer of harmony to all of Equestria... Princess Celestia."
But when the curtains opened there was nothing there. Everyone was confused.
"This can't be good." Said Twilight.
"Remain calm everypony." Said the mayor. "There must be a reasonable explanation."
Pinkie Pie spoke. "Ooh, I love guessing games! Is she hiding?"
Rarity came back after taking a look around "She's gone."
This made everpony gasp. "Ooh she's good." Said Pinkie before screaming. Everyone gasped again as a strange blue mist appeared. All of a sudden the mist changed into an Alicorn. She was all black wearing a blue helmet and moon necklace. Her mane and tail were made up of the same blue mist and her cutie mark was a crescent moon.
"Oh no." Said Twilight. "Nightmare Moon."
Spike fainted and Luna's mark started to hurt even worse. "That's her alright." Said Luna. "Just ask my mark."
"Oh my beloved subjects." Said Nightmare Moon. "It's been so long since I've last seen your precious little sun-loving faces."
"What did you do with our princess?!" Rainbow Dash demanded before attempting to charge at her. Only to be stopped by Applejack who caught her tail in her mouth. "Woah there Nelly."
Nightmare Moon only chuckled. "Why? Am I not royal enough for you?" She asked. "Don't you know who I am?"
Pinkie spoke again. "Ooh, ooh, more guessing games!" She said before saying random names. "Hokey Smokes. How about Queen Meanie? No Black Snooty, Black Snooty." She was stopped when Applejack stuffed a cupcake in her mouth, causing her to make muffled sounds.
"Does my crown no longer count now that I have been imprisoned for a thousand years?" Nightmare Moon asked Fluttershy. "Did you not recall the legend? Did you not see the signs?" She asked Rarity.
"I did!" Said Twilight deciding to speak up and be brave. "And I know who you are." She revealed. "You're the mare in the moon... Nightmare Moon."
"HUH!" Everypony gasped.
Nightmare Moon was impressed. "Well, well, well, somepony who remembers me. Then you also know why I'm here."
Twilight got nervous. "You're here to, to." Twilight just gulped.
Nightmare Moon chuckled. "Remember this day little ponies, for it was your last." She said. "From this moment on the night will last FOREVER!" Nightmare Moon said before manically laughing as thunder boomed and lightning struck.
Everyone looked scared while Twilight and Luna looked at each other nervously.
