I don't not own anything related to Dinosaur King. Dinosaur King is owned by Sunrise, Shout Factory, and 4kidsTV.
Today had gone from horrible to worst in D-Team's opinion.
It started with Max damaged some CDs, placed the blame on Chomp before coming clean. He got in trouble for it, resulting in his dad, Spike Taylor, putting him on janitor duty for the D-Lab. Shortly after, he and his friends, Rex and Zoe, had another dinosaur sighting. Only problem was that it was in the middle of the ocean.
Or so they thought.
It turns out the new dinosaur was in the Alpha Gang's secret hideout. The dinosaur was the same from the Mega Mall's Cardfolio: a Ceratosaurus.
They had managed to get the card but then they were spotted. Escaping they planned to leave but Max 'suggested' to explore the base, wanting to find out more about their enemy and secretly avoid his punishment of cleaning toilets.
Things weren't going as smooth once Zoe made the comment of the old lady, enticing Ursula to come charging and banging on the storage door. It got worse once the D-Team found out they could be traced so Max had to cut the connection between them and his dad since they were chatting.
They escaped again but then Paris ran off, hearing a call. Zoe chased after but was caught in a trap by Dr. Z and his grandchildren, Rod and Laura. Rod had mimicked a Parasaurolophus call to lure Paris, which succeeded. Zoe tried to put up a good fight with her partner but was defeated by a combination of Spiny and Tank.
Things weren't good with the boys either. Chomp had run off, prompting Max to chase after him. This left Rex alone in the base of their enemy.
Chomp eventually came across an old friend: Styracosaurus. They had lost him during their Hawaii mission.
Unfortunately, their friend was mind-controlled and attacked. Ursula, Zander, and Ed appeared and summoned a full-sized Terry into battle. Max had summoned Chomp to his full size and was about to use his Move Card but the droids restrained him.
The battle continued to turn for the worst. Battling Styracosaurus and Terry at the same time proved too difficult for the Triceratops and resulted in being beaten.
Rex summoned Ace once he saw the condition Chomp was in and prepared to attack when Terry appeared and frightened the Carnotaurus. Then Dr. Z and his grandchildren appeared with a captured Zoe, causing Rex to stand down, much to his dismay.
With a swipe of Move Card, Terry incinerated Ace with Volcano Burst and reverted back to his card.
"What now?" Max uttered at the defeat of their last remaining dinosaur. Terry let out a triumphant roar as did the Styracosaurus. They reverted back to cards and landed in Ed's hands.
"I got them." Ed said and swiped the card in the opposite direction and called out a smaller version of Terry. The smaller version of Spiny and Tank began to roughhouse with the red dinosaur as the Alpha Droids appeared and held onto Rex to prevent his escape.
Laura used the Grappling Claw to pick up Ace's card. "Here you go." She said to her grandpa as she handed him the card.
Dr. Z held all three of the D-Team's cards in his hands and smiled mischievously. "Hehehehehehehe! Ah yes, my dinosaurs have come back to me!" He cackled.
Once he said those words, Max was peeved and yelled. "What'd you mean your dinosaurs?! Chomp isn't your dinosaur! None of them are!"
Dr. Z just shot a smile to the boy, "All the dinosaurs that became cards are mine, you snotty brat. And I'm about to put your little friends here to work building my dinosaur kingdom once we capture them all."
"What's that supposed to mean?!" Rex yelled.
"They'll never obey you!" Zoe added.
"Our dinosaurs aren't your slaves, you old fossil face!" Max said aloud.
Dr. Z was taken aback by the insult. "What?! What did you call me?!"
Ursula stepped right in front of the brunette and looked him in the eyes. "You'd better start minding your manners, little boy." She lectured him before pulling his cheeks. "And you could start right now by apologizing."
"I'll never apologize to him! Forget it!" He told her through his stretched cheeks.
"So, what exactly should we do with these three? We can't exactly let them go or they could find a way to come back and bring reinforcements." Rod then asked. He remembered that they had other dinosaurs beside the three.
Dr. Z thought about what to do with the D-Team. "It's times like these I wish we had a plank."
"Ooh, Dr. Z!" Zander said eagerly as he raised his hand in the air. "You could have them work for Ed and I!"
Ed immediately agreed. "Oh yeah, that'd be great! We could make 'em cook lunch for us and stuff like that, and really, really boss them around." He fantasized.
The dream was immediately shot down from Ursula, since she was the 'de-facto' leader in the field. "What? Are you kidding me?!" She asked them, getting in their faces. "You two aren't qualified to boss around a worm."
"What'd you mean? I just tell them to squirm left to right to left." Zander answered as he did the motions.
"Put a sock in it!" Ursula yelled at them, causing them to cower in fear. "The only one who's going to be bossing them around is me!" She stated.
"Yeah, I can live with that." Ed said as he hugged Zander and vice versa tightly.
"Silence!" Dr. Z shouted. "I'm the deranged dictator around here, and don't you forget it!" He reminded them before stroking his beard in thought. "Now let's see." He thought before something shined off in the corner of his eye. Looking towards the source he noticed Rex holding a card in front of his Dino Holder. "Aah! That's mine!" He exclaimed.
Rex glared at the doctor and held the card up. "The Ceratosaurus you were beating up before is now mine! Let's go!" He said and swiped the card. The Ceratosaurus appeared and roared. "Go, Ceratosaurus! Pay them back for what they did to you, now!"
The Jurassic theropod growled in agreement and turned to the Alpha Gang. The group tensed up and before running for their lives as the Wind dinosaur chased them. A stomp near them caused the Alpha Gang's dinosaurs to flee and pounce onto Dr. Z and a set of Alpha Droids. Soon afterwards, the 'dictator' and his lackeys were running for their lives with the Ceratosaurus on their tails.
With the Droids distracted, Rex freed himself. "You guys, let's go!" He told the rest of his team.
"Right!" Max agreed before bashing the robots holding him. Once they were down, both of them kicked down the ones holding Zoe and made a break for it. "Let's get out of here!"
"Alpha Droids! Catch those brats!" Ursula ordered the remaining droids as they ran after the trio. Rex found an elevator and pushed a button, opening the door. They all ran in and the door closed right before the robots could reach them.
While the elevator headed to who knows where, the D-Team took this moment to catch their breaths, with Rex working on the ropes tied around Zoe and Max's hands. "Wow, that was a close one." Zoe sighed.
"Yeah, but we still have to get our cards back, and find the rest." Max reminded her. "There's no way I'm letting the Alpha Gang keep Chomp." He said as he massaged his hands.
"And I want Paris back, but it's only us three against all of them." Zoe reminded him.
"They may outnumber us, but we can outsmart them." Rex said as he worked on Zoe's knots.
Once the elevator had made its descent, it opened to reveal the engine room of the hideout. They all gasped in astonishment at the room. "Who, what kind of place is this?" Max asked. Looking around, they could see different robots working on some kind of large contraption in the center of the room."
"I don't get what all the machines and stuff have to do with dinosaurs." Max whispered as they went to get a closer view but stayed hidden.
"And there's a bunch of robots, too." Zoe added. "That's so weird."
"Robots and droids? Maybe they're from a different planet." Rex suggested.
"Yeah, that would make sense. They're Martians." Max said sarcastically.
Before Rex could respond, Zoe noticed something near the generator. "Hey, check it out." The boys turned to see what she saw and went wide-eyed.
"Are those…" Max trailed off.
With the engine, there were a few devices that helped the machine run. And powering it was none other than the Fire, Water, and Earth Stones.
"It's the other Stones!" Rex whispered in shock.
"Do you think they are powering this machine?" Zoe asked.
"Who knows? I say we grab 'em!" Max whispered eagerly. He was about to sneak across when Rex and Zoe pulled him back.
"We can't just storm out and take them." Rex chided. "With all these robots and droids around, it will be hard to get them."
"Plus, we don't have any dinosaurs with us." Zoe said. Max winced as his friends had a point.
Rex vaguely looked around, not seeing anyone from the Alpha Gang in the same room as them. "We'll have to be quiet. Carefully plan, lookout, and then get one each."
Max and Zoe nodded. The D-Team snuck around the various machines, avoiding the busy robots and droids with their tasks. They had been lucky since the machines were more focused on their agendas to see the kids sneaking around. Once the D-Team reached the engine and got to the three missing stones, they silently sighed in relief.
"Thank goodness that was the easy part." Rex said.
"Now the hard part is getting out of here the same." Zoe admitted.
"Well then, let's pick a Stone and go." Max hurried. The brunette reached out and grabbed the Fire Stone. Rex picked the Earth Stone and Zoe got the Water Stone.
Once they had them, they were covered in an aura like before. Max gained a red aura, Rex a purple, and Zoe a blue.
"It's like before." Max commented, remembering what had happened when he got the Lightning Stone.
Once the glows died down, the D-Team checked their surroundings. Strangely, none of the robots noticed the glows and continued their tasks. Once the coast was clear, the D-Team made it back to their original hiding position.
"What do we do with the Stones now?" Zoe asked.
Rex quickly suggested. "I say we hide them in our pockets until we get out of here. With our dinos too."
Max chimed in. "And maybe we could save the Tyrannosaurus, Spinosaurus, and Saichania!"
Both of his friends raised eyebrows at the claim. "How are we going to do that?" Rex asked. "We don't know how to break their control over them."
"It could just be like the Utahraptor." Max offered.
"That was different." Rex reminded him. "The Alpha Gang had that… ball thing that made the Utahraptor do whatever they wanted. I didn't see that on their main three."
"It's probably some machine." Zoe noted. "Given what we have seen at this base so far, I am willing to bet they have some sort of device that gives them control over them."
"Then we destroy it." Max suggested. "Give those three dinosaurs a better life than whatever the Alpha Gang plans to do with them."
Rex and Zoe looked uneasy at first but then they nodded. They had failed to collect them before but this time would be different.
The sound of something mechanical descending caught the D-Team's attention. "Someone's up there." Rex realized. They looked to see Seth on a control platform, monitoring the functions of the machine no doubt.
The blue haired scientist turned his head to where the D-Team was, prompting them to duck down and hide.
"Think he spotted us?" Zoe asked.
The robots immediately dropped their current tasks and began to beep. "Intruder, intruder, intruder." Their optics turned red and moved towards them.
"I'd say that's a yes." Max answered before they bolted back to the elevator as the robots crashed into the door after it closed.
Seth directed his attention elsewhere when the kids left. However, that attention was where the Stones were. He noticed they were gone and was startled.
"Those kids…" He growled before composing himself. He wasn't like Dr. Z who threw a temper tantrum like a 5-year old when something didn't go his way. But those Stones would have been a huge part of his plans. However, he had been researching the Stones since the A-trio had gotten their hands on them. Their frequency, unique energy, functions, and more. He was pleased with the results and both found and created something that could come in handy if they were ever stolen.

"Looks like we're going up." Zoe said, "I wonder where?"
"Any place is better." Max said.
"That depends on who's waiting for us when the door opens." Rex told them.
When the door opened, an angry-looking Helga eyed the three. "You're not getting off so easily." She declared and grabbed them.
DK
The D-Team struggled in Helga's iron grip as she pulled them down a hall. "Let go!" Max demanded. "What do you think you're doing?"
"Yeah, you're stretching my sweater." Zoe added.
"You children have some learning to do." Helga told them.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Rex asked.
Before he could get an answer, they heard the sound of children laughing. Zoe looked up and saw who it was. "Hey! It's those kids!"
"You guys may have escaped the Alpha Droids." Rod said.
"But you're gonna wish you didn't run into Helga." Laura finished. "Good luck, guys."
The jab didn't go unnoticed by the android maid. "Since you two have nothing better to do than laugh, get down here and I'll show you something funny." She told them, making the grandchildren gasp and the D-Team snickered at their misfortune. The maid continued dragging them until they reached Rod and Laura's room. "Go! Time for you to study!" She ordered as she flung open the door.
"Study? We don't even live here." Max told her as she pushed the three of them into the room.
"I completed all my homework last night." Rex said as he took his seat while Helga carried Max and Zoe.
"What do you even want us to study?" Zoe asked.
"Be quiet!" Helga snapped. "You are children and children must study." She sternly said as she plopped them onto seats and turned on the computers.
Max looked at the screen and couldn't even tell what was on it. "What is this stuff?"
"It's Riemannian geometry." Rod answered and he and Laura took their seats across from them. "You know from the general theory of relativity."
"Wha?" Was all Max could reply.
"You're kidding me. You don't know this?" Laura said in disbelief.
"Hey, it's pretty cool." Rex said as he scrolled through the page.
"What? No way. You get it already?" Max asked him in shock. Rex was the most studious out of the three of them so if he knew this he could definitely help.
"Actually, about one-percent of it." Rex sheepishly said, making Max sigh.
He would rather fix toilets than do whatever geometry this is.

After taking care of the Ceratosaurus Rex sicced on them, Dr. Z walked into the room where he had the cards from the Cardfolio were.
"Despicable little brats! Did they really think they could infiltrate my hidey-hole and get away with it? I laugh at that, ha!" Dr. Z said. With the D-Team's cards on the table, Dr. Z continued his gloating. "And I'll have the last laugh, too. 'Cause I was able to get my precious cards back from them. They won't be interfering with the Alpha Gang anymore." He cackled before noticing something.
"Oh! They're gone!" He exclaimed as he looked everywhere in the room. "My priceless dinosaur cards! Where did they disappear to?" He stopped his search before coming to a realization. "Wait! I'll bet those rotten kids are behind this!"
"Ursula! You and your hooligans get in here this instant!" Dr. Z demanded. He would get those cards back.
DK
Max's snoozing was interrupted when Zoe poked his shoulder. "Max, wake up. She won't like that you're falling asleep."
"So?" Max groggily responded as he opened an eye. "What can she do, give me detention? We're already their prisoners again."
"Yeah, but if we get that old lady-" Zoe began but Max interrupted her, not wanting Ursula to find them. "Not that one. I was talking about the big one." Zoe clarified.
"Yeah, don't get her mad." Laura interjected.
"You see. If we go and upset her, we'll never get out of here." Zoe pointed out.
"Hey? Where is she anyway?" MAx asked as he looked around the room for the large maid.
"Probably off cleaning something." Rod said, knowing the maid.
"Then let's go." Max said as the three of them got up and went for the door.
"So, you think you're just gonna walk on out of here?" Rod asked them.
Max didn't answer until he opened the door and saw no sign of Helga. "I don't see why not. The doors wide open." Just before he could take a step, Helga reappeared at inhuman speed startling the D-Team. "Hi! We missed you!" Max quickly said, trying not to make it seem like they were escaping.
"So, you're a comedian." Helga said, clearly not buying the lie.
"Everything OK?" Zoe asked.
"Nice try, missy!" Helga shouted at her as a tick mark grew on her head. Max looked down and noticed all the cards in her pocket. He mentally gasped at the sight, remembering how the Cardfolio was taken from them. Another opportunity right in front of them.
"Where do the three of you think you are going?" Helga asked them, snapping Max out of his thoughts. "Study time is not over."
"Well, we had to go to the bathroom. But we were going to come right back here." Rex lied.
"Ach! Do I look like a dummkopf!" She yelled, not buying that lie either. "The bathroom is right over there!" She pointed at the destination.
"There it is." Max said innocently. "Thank you, ma'am." Helga responded by simply slamming the door on his face.
"You won't get anything past Helga." Rod said smugly.
Zoe and Rex went back to their seats while Max mused to himself. "Actually, I really do have to go." He ran into the bathroom then popped his head out. "Hey, now I know how we can get out of here." He told them. "Rex, Zoe, come here. Look what I found."
"What is it, Max?" Zoe asked.
"Did you find a window or something?" Rex asked.
Max then turned to Rod and Laura. "If you guys are tired of studying that stuff, come here and help." He suggested to them.
"What?" Rod said in shock.
"You want our help?" Laura asked.
They all went into the bathroom to see what Max found. "Well? Where's the window we can escape from?" Rex asked.
"I never said window, I have a plan." Max said as he opened the closet to reveal many plumbing supplies. "Ta-da!"
A few minutes later, Helga was cleaning in a room where she felt a disturbance. She quickly sped to the children's room in time to stop Max from walking out again. "What's going on here?" She asked the brunette.
"Sorry, Helga. It's the toilet. It blew up." Max explained. To add to this fact, his hair and clothes were all soaked.
"You are lying!" She yelled as she got into his face. But when she did, she noticed everyone was drenched in water. "Oh? Why are your clothes soaking wet?"
"Like he said, it's the toilet." Rod explained as he pointed to the bathroom. "Take a look."
Helga slammed into the bathroom and saw both the toilet and sink overflowing with water. "Ach! Mein Dusseldorf! This is very bad!"
"Yeah, big trouble right?" Max said as he sneaked a hand to grab the deck of cards, only for Helga absentmindedly to smack it away. "Rats." Max said and held his hand in pain.
"Max, come on. We gotta do this now." Rex whispered to him.
"Yeah, I'm coming." Max said, leaving Helga to her work. Perhaps he would get another chance at the cards.
"Ugh. Messy, filthy, children. Why do I bother?" The maid muttered aloud.
DK
The D-Team, Rod, and Laura took an elevator and exited out. "Hey, that was fun." Rod said as they started walking along the cliffside.
"Yeah, we've never escaped from Helga and studying before." Laura said.
"Man, I almost had the whole deck." Max sighed in disappointment. Maybe the deck had a few cards for them to use and fight back.
"You did?" Rex asked.
"Yeah, that was close. That Helga woman's tough." Max told him.
"That's true." Laura giggled. "And you've figured out that making a mess is the best way to distract her. Ha, ha!"
"Not bad." Rod commented. "Do you guys always do that kind of stuff?"
"Mainly Max." Zoe said. "In fact, he made another toilet overflow just before we came here. Ha, ha!" She laughed while Max just glared at her.
"I guess you must really like playing in toilet water, huh?" Rod joked.
"Hey, watch it! My idea got us out of there, didn't it?" Max reminded them. "So who are you two and what are you guys doing here anyway?" He asked the duo.
The grandchildren decided to introduce themselves. "I'm Rod." "I'm Laura."
"And you're the D-Team: Max Taylor, Rex Owen, and Zoe Drake." Laura rounded off.
The trio were shocked that they knew both their first and last names. "How do you know all that? Have you been spying on us?" Rex asked them.
"Everyone knows you three ever since that TV quiz show." Rod explained.
"Oh, yeah." Rex said, embarrassed that he forgot about their TV appearance.
"So, are you guys part of the Alpha Gang?" Zoe asked them.
"Sort of, I guess." Rod said with a shrug. "We do some things to help our grandpa from time to time."
"Are you kidding me?" Max practically shouted. "That mean guy is your grandpa?"
"Oh, he's not that mean." Laura insisted. "He gets really excited when there's something about dinosaurs. He has this big dream about being the dinosaur king one day."
"Dinosaur king?" Max said, confused about the title.
"That's right and he's dedicated his entire life to constructing his dinosaur kingdom." Rod explained.
"If you ask me, he acts more like a lunatic than any sort of king." Rex responded.
"On, yeah? Well, I don't remember asking." Rod told them. "Besides, Grandpa wasn't even the one who created the cards to begin with."
"What?" The trio said in shock. "Then who did?" Rex asked.
"Can't tell." Rod answered smugly.
"Hee. Nope." Laura cheerfully added.
"Why not? After everything else you told us, why not tell us the rest?" Zoe asked.
"It's a secret. Right?" Laura turned to her brother. "Yep." Rod responded before they chuckled to themselves.
This revelation caused the D-Team to sigh in disappointment. Since the day Max found Chomp, they've been wondering who had made the cards. But since Rod and Laura kept them in the dark, they were back at square one.
"So now that you know why Grandpa's trying to collect all the dinosaur cards, could you please stop interfering with his plans?" Rod turned around and asked them.
"Yeah, can't you just leave him alone?" Laura added with a smile, not wanting to seem rude.
"What?!" The D-Team gasped in shock. These kids wanted them to hand over the cards to the maniac they call their grandpa.
"Leave him alone?" Max asked, still in shock about the question. "The dinosaurs are in trouble because of him and they're asking for help."
"And whatever your grandfather says he wants to do with the dinosaurs, it isn't what they want at all." Rex added firmly.
"Besides, the old lad-" Zoe started.
"No! No! No! No!" Max and Rex both frantically interrupted as they covered her mouth, not wanting to be found by Ursula hearing the insult.
"I mean Urusla and those other two." Zoe corrected herself as she removed their hands. "You must have seen how horrible they are to the dinosaurs. They treat them like they don't have any feelings and don't matter at all."
It didn't matter if these kids were asked kindly for the cards, there was no way the D-Team would give up the dinosaurs. The stones chose them and they intend to keep their promise to defend them from the Alpha Gang.
"Oh, yeah that is too bad." Rod said sarcastically.
"Sure is, but, oh well." Laura added, mimicking her brother.
"Huh?" The D-Team said as they realized the shift in tone.
"You were about to call me an old lady, weren't you?!" Ursula announced as the D-Team were surrounded by Alpha Droids and the A-trio. Ursula held up a scanner that showed Dr. Z's laughing face.
"Hahaha!" The doctor laughed like a lunatic at seeing his enemies at his mercy once again.
"How'd they find us?" Rex asked aloud.
"Oh, yeah. I sent them our coordinates." Rod said innocently as he pulled out an Alpha Scanner that also had Dr. Z's face on it.
"Ha, ha! And now you're gonna be prisoners again." Laura giggled, immediately causing Max, Rex, and Zoe to growl in disgust.
"Those snakes!" Max thought angrily, balling his hand into a fist.
"Thank you, kids!" Dr. Z said over the speaker, "Good work!"
The Alpha Gang inched closer and closer towards the D-Team.
"There's no escape for you this time." Zander said.
"Not that we can think of." Ed added.
"And not without dinosaurs." Ursula finished before they got ready to pounce on them.
But before they could, they heard the sound of a plane flying towards them. The plane flew close to the ground and blew all the Alpha Droids away. "Whoa!"
"Max! I'm here!" Spike shouted as he pressed against the screen.
"Ugh! Dad?!" Max gasped when he saw the symbol on the plane and his father's face.
"Who's that?" Rod asked.
"Don't worry, kids! I'm coming to the rescue!" Spike said from inside the plane.
"There's nowhere for me to land this hydroplane." Reese told him as she piloted.
"That's all right. I'm ready for anything." Spike said as he put on a parachute.
"Do you know how to work that?" Reese quizzed him.
"Not a clue!" He answered. "How difficult can it be?" He said before jumping out the open door.
"Less difficult if you had it on the right side up." She mused to herself before circling.
Spike chuckled to himself as he fell before pulling on the string. When nothing happened, he began to panic and frantically search for it until finding it right next to his head. He pulled it and the parachute came to life. If only it helped in slowing down his fall before he crashed into some trees.
"Dad!" Max yelled as he ran to where the paleontologist landed.
Thankfully, his father fell out of the trees, just upside down. "Max, I've come just in time to save you." Spike said in determination before meekly asking. "But, uh, could you save me first."
"No problem." Max said before working on the rope. He was a bit embarrassed by the rescue attempt but he kept it to himself, grateful that his dad was here now.
"We'd better hurry." Zoe warned them. "Cause here they come!"
"Quit running away, you brats!" Ursula yelled as they arrived on the scene.
"I recognize you three!" Spike said once he was freed from the tree. "You're the Alpha Gang monsters who are always threatening my kids!"
"Who are you? Buffalo Bill?" Dr. Z asked through the screen.
"I am dinosaur expert, Spike Taylor Ph.D." Spike introduced confidently. "And a sworn dinosaur defender!"
"But not a great parachuter." Ursula muttered.
"That was a nasty fall." Zander pointed out.
"You should take classes." Ed suggested.
"Hey, I survived, didn't I?" Spike reminded them. "Anyway, I am here to rescue these kids. Because that's what parents do. You may know me as a brillant paleontologist but I'm also a concerned dad."
"Thanks." Max told his father. Even if he was getting punished, his dad still cared for him. Rod and Laura watched the scene in silence, reminding them of two people they left in the future.
"So now, villains, you shall taste my whip of extreme justice!" Spike said as he pulled out his whip, only for it to get tangled around a tree branch behind him. "Uh, in just a second." He quickly added before tugging the whip.
"So much for that." Max sighed.
Dr. Z, having been fed up with the interferences today, shouted from the Alpha Scanner. "Listen up! You kids better give me back the cards you stole! Or this big, bad paleontologist dad is going to be Terry's next meal!"
"Whose?" Spike asked.
"Attack!" Dr. Z ordered. The A-trio pulled their scanners and cards and summoned their dinosaurs.
"ALPHA SLASH!"
Terry, Spiny, and Tank appeared and gave out roars. "Ready?" Spike asked the kids. "Run for it!" They all ran away, dodging Terry's jaws.
"This way!" Rex said as they ran to where the pipe they used before was.
"Why? Where are we going?" Spike asked.
"To the ventilation duct. We've got to get Chomp and the other cards back." Max told him.
"I thought the old man said you had all the cards?" Spike recalled.
"He doesn't know his cleaning lady has them." Max explained. The D-Team all jumped into the pipe, ignoring Terry's roar from above, and made their way to the door. "Open sesame!" Max said. The door opened and they ran through.
DK
"Time to summon dinosaurus!" Dr. Z cheered to himself as he ran to where he placed the three cards. "I'll start with this one." He said as he picked up Chomp's card. "I'll surely have extra joy in turning that brat's Triceratops into one of my Alpha dinosaurs." He chuckled as he walked to the Alpha controller and prepared to place the card in. But before he could do so, he received a call. "Huh? What is now?" He pressed a button to show Seth on screen. "Talk to me, Seth."
"Doctor, the engine is partially functional and we're powering it up. I'd like you to come and give it a test run." Seth explained. He neglected the crucial part but he had found a way for them to function without the use of the Stones.
"Really? That's excellent!" Dr. Z said with a smile. "That's the first thing that's gone right around here all day." He began to order the scientist. "Proceed. Let's get this thing going."
"Very good, Doctor. Over and out." Seth said before hanging up.
"Hehehehe. At last, my time machine will finally work again! Now to add some new dinosaurs to my collection!" Dr. Z giddy said. He pressed the button of the Alpha Controller, causing it to lower and prepare to transform Chomp's card.
With a smile, Dr. Z imagined his control over the Triceratops, Carnotaurus, and Parasaurolophus to do his bidding with Terry, Spiny, Tank, and all the other cards the D-Team had.
But his musings were interrupted when a whip came from nowhere and snatched the card from the device. Dr. Z gasped before looking to see Spike and the kids having entered the room by climbing down a ladder.
"Oh, no you don't!" Spike declared as his whip returned with Chomp's card. "Those cards don't belong to you, old man!"
"I said this before! All the cards belong to me including those three on the table right in front of you!" Dr. Z yelled before he realized what he had done. "Oops, not good."
"Don't you know better than to leave your cards lying around?" Rex rhetorically said.
"We'll be taking Ceratosaurus too." Zoe added as they summoned their partners to their chibi forms.
"It's great to see you too, Chomp! Are you okay?" Max hugged Chomp.
"I'm glad you're alright, Ace." Rex said to his partner.
"Welcome back, Paris." Zoe said, hugging her partner.
Unfortunately, the reunion was interrupted when they heard the sounds of many footsteps approaching. Looking up, they saw the Alpha Gang with tons of Alpha Droids behind them.
"OK, you're good at escaping. I'll give you that." Ursula complimented them. "Dr. Z, we'll get rid of these pests for you." She said before all three grabbed their scanners and prepared to summon them again. "Here it goes!"
"Doctor, your lizard soup is ready!" Helga announced as she walked into the room with a bowl of said soup.
"Yuck!" The D-Team gagged before the room started to shake and rumble. The Alpha Gang held their ground but Tank rolled down the vantage point. Max, having Chomp in his arms, ran to grab the deck in Helga's pocket but tripped over Tank. Luckily, Chomp jumped out and tore the pocket off as the cards fell out.
Dr. Z saw the missing cards and tried to get them, but Spike used his whip once more and snagged all the cards. "Now we have got all the cards." He told the kids. "Let's find a way out of here." They all ran down the hall for the nearest exit.
"Don't let them get away!" Dr. Z ordered, before noticing no one following it. "Huh?" He looked down and saw the A-trio in a big pile on the floor. "Errrrr! You fools! Don't just stand there! Go and get those cards back!" He shouted.
"Yes, sir, Doctor, sir!" They all replied before chasing after them.
"And as for you!" He said, turning to Helga. "What were those cards doing stuffed in your apron?!" He asked, unaware of his tone.
"Don't take that tone with me or there's no soup for you!" She scolded him, making the doctor wince. She, however, gasped when she saw what Chomp did to her apron. "Oh, my! More mending to do."

The team continued running until they arrived at a stretched-out beach with dinosaur tooth-shaped, stone pillars going along the edges. "Where's Reese with the plane?" Max asked as he looked around for any sign of their escape.
"Are you sure this is where you told her to pick us up?" Zoe asked Spike.
"Yes, this is the location we agreed upon." Spike confirmed.
"Hey, does it seem the island is moving?" Rex noticed.
"Moving?" Dr. Taylor said until they all noticed the 'island' was actually moving across the ocean.
"It is." Zoe gasped.
"So, that must be what the earthquake was." Max realized.
"Maybe. Could have been a rumble when the island was turning. That could mean this entire island is artificial." Spike theorized.
"Who are these guys?" Rex voiced. Their enemies have access to dinosaurs, robots, their base is completely advanced than modern technology, and now their base is mobile? This was concerning.
The theories had to wait because four dinosaur roars were heard. They looked behind themselves and saw Terry, Spiny, Tank, and the Styracosaurus land behind them. The Alpha Gang smiled snidely behind their summoned dinosaurs. "You've escaped for the last time! Terry and his friends are going to finish you off now!" Ursula declared.
"It's Styracosaurus!" Max remembered, making a fist. "I forgot about him. This is going to make things a lot harder." He then remembered what he promised to do. This time things were going to be different as he vowed to save all the dinosaurs the Alpha Gang had. "Can you do it, Chomp? Go, save your friend!" Max turned Chomp into his card and summoned him.
"DINO SLASH! GO, TRICERATOPS, ROAR!"
Rex and Zoe followed in hand, ready for some payback of their own.
"DINO SLASH! CARNOTAURUS, BLOW THEM AWAY!"
"DINO SLASH! PARASAUROLOPHUS, BLOOM!"
The three dinosaurs approached their enemies. A three on four.
Rex noticed the disadvantage then pulled out one more card. "Guys, we still have one more on our side. Help us fight them, Ceratosaurus! Dino slash!"
The Ceratosaurus appeared and growled.
Terry, Spiny, Tank, and the Styracosaurus eyed their opponents while Chomp, Ace, Paris, and the Ceratosaurus did the same.
"Look, these Move Cards were in the pack." Spike said, holding out the deck. "Give 'em a try. Good luck, Max." He said to his son.
Max gave a quick thanks before the paleontologist noticed the hydroplane. "Hey! Here comes our ride!"
Max turned to his team. "You ready, guys? Let's finish these creeps off with some new Moves and save these dinosaurs!" He handed them the cards with their respective elements.
Rex started the revenge. "Ninja Attack!"
Ace began running very fast and multiplied into duplicates. They all jumped into the air and surrounded Tank. The Saichania looked around before being struck from all sides, each building up speed the more it went on. Tank roared in pain before being reverted to a card. Once the attack stopped, the Carnotaurus placed his foot on the card.
"Stomping Hammer!" Zoe continued.
Paris roared, charging headfirst at Spiny. With her tail, the Parasaurolophus knocked the Spinosaurus to the ground and leapt up high into the air before using her full force onto Spiny. She repeated this process twice before Spiny roared in pain and returned to his card. The hadrosaur used her forelimb to prevent the Alpha Gang from getting Spiny.
"What's this?" Ursula said in fear.
"They're using Dr. Z 's Move Cards!" Zander told them.
"And we can't get our dinosaurs!" Ed realized.
The Ceratosaurus and Styracosaurus engaged each other in a headlock. The theropod and ceratopsian continued for a while before breaking off and the former knocked the latter away with his tail.
"Let me help you out there!" Rex saw the 'horned dinosaur' winning the fight and used another Move Card. "Biting Wind!"
A giant tornado came down and separated into smaller ones as the Ceratosaurus was covered in blue fire. With a roar, blades of air came out and struck Styracosaurus nonstop. Eventually, the onslaught ended and the 'spiked dinosaur' turned back into a card. The Jurassic theropod stomped his foot on the card and let out a roar of success.
"Go, Lightning Spear!" Max shouted, ending their payback.
Chomp roared with electricity surrounding him. He ran towards Terry, colliding before throwing him into the air. A spear of lightning impaled the t-rex, causing him to twitch nonstop. Once Chomp landed, Terry fell to the ground and turned back to his card.
"Go get those cards!" Ursula ordered Zander and Ed.
"Going and getting." The two men said but just as the Alpha Gang were about to retrieve Terry but Chomp beat them this time, his horns threatening them not to come any closer. With that, the Triceratops picked up his card with his beak and left them.
"Way to go guys!" Max cheered as he accepted Terry's card. Zoe took Spiny's and Rex took Tank's and the Styracosaurus. The four heroic dinosaurs roared triumphantly before returning their cards.
"Lucky for us, we still have the Stones." Ursula smugly said.
"Oh, old lady~" Max gloated. Ursula was about to roar with fury before she noticed that the D-Team had the Stones. Her eyes reverted to beads as she realized they were most likely screwed and Dr. Z would not be pleased.
The plane landed in the water and Spike led everyone to the entryway. "This way, kids. All aboard!"
"Dad! Help!" Max said as he struggled to get on.
"I got ya." Spike assured him as he helped his son on, and closed the door before the plane took off.
On the shore, Rod and Laura watched the interaction again. "So, that's a dad." Rod said.
"Kinda nice, isn't he?" Laura added. The thought of the two figures they left behind returned.

"Sorry it took me so long." Reese apologized as they flew into the sunset. "When I went to the original coordinates, the island wasn't there anymore."
"Well, it's all right now." Spike assured her before asking. "Hey, Reese? Is there a meal served with this flight?"
"Thanks for rescuing us, Dad." Max told his father. "I don't know if we would have gotten out of there if you hadn't shown up. Have I ever told you what a really awesome dad you are?"
"Thank you." Spike told him. "I have to admit, I was really worried about you this time." He confessed. "I want you all to be more careful in the future, all right?"
"OK." They all replied.
"Because who's going to do janitor and clean the toilets if you're not around." Spike mentioned.
"What?" Max exclaimed, feeling a bit betrayed.
"I've got to get you back so you can finish the work you started."
"Is that why you came to rescue us?" Max asked with a deadpan look.
"No, that's just one of the reasons." Spike clarified, "As they say, 'a deal's a deal.' Three fun days on janitor duty. Ha, ha, ha!"
"So not far." Max whined.
Zoe chuckled at the scene before noticing Rex looking out the window. "There they go. Think we'll ever see Rod and Laura again?" Zoe asked the blonde.
"Yeah, probably." Rex replied before looking at Tank's card. "But what about them?"
Zoe pulled out Spiny's card, giving a gaze to it. "What do you mean?"
"How do you think we free them from the Alpha Gang's control?" Rex clarified.
Max, eavesdropping, pulled out Terry's card and the Fire Stone. "Don't worry, guys. We probably have to get them warmed up to us. They've been under the care of the Alpha Gang since they've been found but we plan to give them a second chance." Rex and Zoe nodded in agreement. This was their mission after all, and they were willing to work with the former Alpha dinosaurs.

After finding out about what happened with 'his' dinosaurs, the cards, and the Stones, Dr. Z was absolutely livid. "My precious dinosaur cards!" He cried in his room.
"How did this happen? Children coming into my headquarters and stealing my cards!" He wailed. "Why do bad things happen to me?! They'll rue the day that they found the first dinosaur cards!" He sobbed and declared through sniffles. He was about to continue when the faucet and pipes began to spring up from all angles.
"Hey! What's going on with the plumbing?! Somebody turn it off! Helga, help me!" He pleaded.
Next time on Dinosaur King: Complete Collection
Max: Look, we got off on the wrong foot
Dr. Z: MY PRECIOUS DINOSAURS ARE GONE!
Dr. Taylor: GET OFF! GET OFF! GET OFF!
Seth: Before the kids managed to snag the Stones, I was researching them.
(The chibi D-Team dinosaurs and Alpha Gang dinosaurs glare at one another)
(The A-trio screams as they travel through a multicolored wormhole)
A/N: Had this idea for Dinosaur King. During the Zeta Point arc where the D-Team managed to save Terry, Spiny, and Tank this time with the Styracosaurus. Similar to Drew's "Dinosaur King Retold" and Hunter's HQ "Dinosaur Queen" I suppose but this takes place after the Zeta Point arc. Not Child's Play yet, because the next chapter will be bonding with the Alpha Gang Dinosaurs. Speaking of the Alpha Gang, they will get new dinosaurs.
I am also considering giving the D-Team six dinos each, three of each element but that feels like an overhaul.
