This fic is inspired by the various Danny Phantom style fics made by mikaela2015.

Our story begins with a large archway sporting a blue square with a symbol similar to a number eight, made of two white F's. This was the FanFiction website, the largest fanfiction archive! A taxi drove up to the standard bot-checker when the rear window rolled down, revealing two observant ghosts.

"I'm Glancer!" One of the one-eyed ghosts said.

"I'm Searcher!" His friend said. "We're here to heckle the Phantom Movie fic!"

The person running the bot-checking captcha leaned down to look into the window. "Alright, fellas, that's gonna be straight ahead, beta reading room D."

"Beta reading?" Glancer turned to his friend.

"Yeah, at least it's not the alpha build!" Searcher quipped, then both ghosts burst out laughing as the taxi drove on.

"Ah, look at this place, what a dump!" Glancer looked around, seeing all of the authors and different characters walking about.

"Bunch of weirdos around here, Look at 'em!" Searcher answered back.

Inside the beta reading room was a theater housing every ghost that appears in the fic. Everyone was loudly talking to each other, excited over what was about to be shown. Off to the side, a goth girl named Sam was surrounded by a ghostly crowd. She was excitedly talking about her parts.

"Hey, lady! Is this seat taken?" A large yeti ghost walked up to the crowd, then ripped the seat out, literally taking it.

"What the?! HEY, YOU! HEY, BRING THAT BACK!" Sam angrily yelled to the yeti ghost.

In another section of the seating, a dark-skinned ghost wearing glasses and a beret was speaking with a scientist ghost wearing a blue jumpsuit and red goggles.

"Oh, I'm so nervous." The one in the beret said while looking around nervously. "If I'm not funny, I won't be able to live with myself."

"Well, then, you'll have to find another apartment, won't you?" The jumpsuit wearing ghost quipped.

"You know, I hear this movie is dynamite!" A ringmaster-like ghost named freakshow said, queuing someone nearby to push the plunger down on a detonator, causing an explosion.

"Popcorn! Get your fresh popcorn, only a buck!" A tall redheaded teenager ghost called out, wearing a typical snack tray around her shoulders.

"Ooh, Honey, buy me some, please!" A ghostly woman in a red leather jacket and frizzled green hair begged her boyfriend who was sitting next to her.

"Sure, Kitten, nothing's too good for my woman!" A dark-blond, greasy haired ghost biker nudged his girlfriend. Upon saying that last word, it prompted a red-furred monster ghost to go crazy behind them, startling the two lovers.

"WOMAN! WOMAN! WOMAN!" The crazed monster ghost yelled out.

Up in the very back was where the two heckling observants Glancer and Searcher were sitting, obviously not looking forward to this.

"Well, I like the fic so far!" Glancer said to his friend.

"It hasn't started yet." Searcher said, confused.

"I know, that's what I like about it!" He joked, prompting the two to laugh.

Off to the side of the theater walked in the ghost who made all of this possible, Danny Phantom. By putting together "the phantoms", he managed to make his and everyone else's dreams come true. Once upon a time, normal humans may have been scared of ghosts, but nowadays, most of them have mellowed out and only seek to play various pranks or get into shenanigans. Because of this, it wasn't uncommon to see them get into show business.

Danny started awkwardly making his way down the rows of seats, being stopped several times.

"Oh, Mr. Phantom! Mr. Phantom!" A child ghost dressed like a pirate spoke to him "Is it okay for me and my boomerang fish to be in the fic?" He asked, not really realizing that the fic was already finished. The skeletal parrot on his shoulder rolled his eyes.

"Um… I told you earlier, Youngblood, not in the fic, or at the beta reading." Danny said, implying that this has been going on for quite a while.

Danny continued walking down while Youngblood tried to convince him. "Yeah, but watch! Wah-hey!" Youngblood threw the fish, watching it arc around. Several of the audience members complained or told the child ghost to settle down.

Further down, Danny was once again stopped, this time by a vulture ghost wearing a fez. "Danny, does this film have socially redeeming value?" He asked in a serious tone before being startled as a paper airplane hit him and stuck to his shoulder.

"Oh, uh, I should hope so. Uh, sorry about that." He said, pointing to the attacking piece of paper.

Further down, he was stopped a third time. This time it was his girlfriend, Sam. "Danny! Hey, Danny!" She yelled out, getting his attention.

"Oh, hi, Sam!" Danny replied in his usual friendly tone.

"Danny, I tried to save you a seat, but somebody took it." Sam growled off in the general direction of where the seat was carried.

Danny continued down, finally making his way to the front of the audience.

"Hello, everyone, and welcome to the first beta reading of the Phantom Movie fic!" Danny called out, causing everyone to cheer.

Everyone was excited to just get the fic started already, but Danny decided to have a speech prepared beforehand. "But, uh, before we begin, I just would like to thank everyone who contributed to this, starting with the little people, from the hairdressers to special effects." That last statement queued the same ghost from earlier to make another explosion.

"That's enough of that, Technus!" Danny called out.

Most of the audience was getting pretty antsy, just waiting for the fic to start. The red fuzzy monster ghost was still reeling from the explosion. "Haha… Blow it up! Ka-boom!" He rambled.

"...from the costume designers, to the prop makers…" Danny droned on. Most of the audience was getting pretty bored by now.

"Uh… Danny?" Sam said, getting his attention. "I don't think the speech is necessary. You can just roll the film."

Danny tried to continue on. "Well, yeah, but I'd like to thank everyone for all of their hard work, and their–"

"ROLL FILM! ROLL FILM!" The behemoth ghost roared out, startling everyone and making Danny decide to just go ahead and play it.

"Roll film!" Danny yelled out, causing the whole audience to quiet down and shush each other. Danny awkwardly made his way through the crowd and to his seat.

"Hey, Danny?" A timid voice asked beside him. It was a miniature female version of himself named Danielle. "Is this about how the phantoms really got started?"

Danny shrugged. "Well, it's sort of approximately how it happened." He answered, then got comfortable as the fic started to play out in front of them.
