The infinity constellations

A star gate universe and Danny Phantom crossover. Follows the timeline of the star gate universe episodes season 1, with elements of the Phantom universe. The last episode of Danny phantom; Phantom planet, didn't happen. It's my first posted crossover. Characters and storylines may have changed slightly from the original, but I'll try to keep them close. Enjoy.

Disclaimer: I don't own either Stargate or Danny Phantom and am merely writing fiction about it. Like most of us.

Chapter 1: path of Destiny

In the Ghostzone otherwise known as the infinity realms. (Danny's pov.)

Just a little more! My fingertips touched the modified ectofilter. It sparked, throwing a fit at my high concentration of pure ectoplasm. The portal hummed before creating more and more sparks crackling loudly. I grinned while invisible and fed the portal at an even faster rate. The crackling turned into loud buzzing and electricity shot to its surroundings. Loud whining turned on. Red alarms flickered in the G.I.W lab. A mechanical voice rang out. "Alert- ectofilter overheating alert- heat signature above threshold – alert – code red, order immediate evacuation." I fed it even more ectoplasm. The whole portal started flickering, creaking and groaning at the strain of its own energy. One bolt zapped to the other part of the hexagon. It jumped back, making more bolts of electricity dance between the metallic walls. The flashes grew stronger and vicious. Nothing could stop it now, it would explode and take their whole base with it. I snorted as my work was done. This was the last portal in existence between earth and the ghost zone. I pulled my intangible hand out of the highly instable portal. The edges of the former artificial ghost portal started to blur. Almost! The white clothed agents ran to the portal in a hurry. They yelled rushed orders, trying to reign in their panic and fear. "Close the gate!" "Cut of its power!" "Evacuate all you can!" "Leave the research!" The mechanical voice interrupted their growing panic. "Alert – evacuate the premises! The 102GZ portal is destabilising – Alert to all stations – evacuate the premises! – The 102 GZ portal is self-destructing – alert…" My laughter was hidden behind the crackling of the portal as I fully entered the Ghostzone on the other side of the portal. The only thing left was to absorb the energy that comes from the incoming explosion. Like all the other portals I had detonated already. The green and black swirling circle was losing it form and static was taking over. This was the last one, the last anchor to the Ghostzone. The last anchor that kept both realms together will finally get destroyed. The two sides of a coin would get separated after an eternity of existence. With the last permanent artificial portal gone, the natural portals would close with the loss of the stable connection; that had been destroying the fragile barrier between the Earth and the Ghost zone.

I floated in my ghost form before the highly volatile portal which was already spewing out searing hot ectoplasm and electricity. It almost made me remember that painful moment when it all began. The 14 year old teen that accidently stepped into the portal and pressed the on-button inside it by my own fathers stupid design. Forever changed into a being between both life and death, a halfa. The last 6 years were painful and hard. The fighting never stopped, the ghost invading never stopped, the G.I.W and ghost hunters never stopped. Mere 6 years felt like several lifetimes, endless fights, pain and loss. And now, now it was coming to an end. Everything would end with this portal. Earth would be forever free from ghosts. And ghosts would be forever save from destruction by the G.I.W's idiotic nuke plans and their cruel vivisections or dissections plans.

I added my ice- and ecto-shields triple layered over the disfigured ghost portal. As soon as the energy built up, I would then absorb it into my core and purify the energy. This clean energy would then be used to keep the shields and myself going. The more energy, the bigger the rush. Almost like tripping high on drugs or enduring an extreme sugar rush. It would give me enough ectoplasmic energy to go over the whole circle again; absorb, convert and use. More energy starting rushing into me from the growing instability. The white glow of my ghostly body grew brighter, making me similar to a spotlight in the dark black and green colours of the ghost zone. "Looking bright Danny!" Tuckers voice was brimming with sarcasm. I switched my coms on with a bit of energy. "Very funny Tucker. Wanna switch? Ugh, stupid exploding portals." His chuckling was brought over by the coms. "Yeah, like hell I'm leaving my comfy seat in the speeder. Are you handling it?" I cursed at the stab of energy entering my body. "This one packs a punch. So, have you already imagined the chaos those white goons are experiencing? Their last portal to the zone coming close to ruin. The must be running around like headless chickens." Tuckers snorted while typing something according to the sounds. "Hmm, more like dragging those scientist idiots out of their labs. Ah and superiors not caring for their lives at all. They'll probably file it as 'collateral' damage again."

My sisters nagging voice lectured me and my friend over the coms. "Danny and Tucker, those are still human beings you're talking about. Show at least a bit respect for their last moments. Some may be innocent!" Sam interrupted her with a sharp tone. "Jazz, those assholes killed of our parents! Just because they got 'in their way'. Remember what they called our losses? Necessary collateral damage. NECESSARY! They have no right to be called human." Jazz spoke softly. "Sam, I didn't mean…" Yet Sam was very emotional. "No, Jazz they deserve this. They killed our parents and all the others because they protested against the G.I.W. They treated our loss like a needed sacrifice for their goal. This serves them just right. Let them run, while their building collapses and explodes on all sides and burn those that survive the hit." Silence fell on the coms. The others didn't speak. Jazz was probably disagreeing inside her head. I didn't speak up, but I was agreeing with Sam. There was no mercy left for the G.I.W, not after what they had done.

Another wave of energy washed over me. The energy soaring towards my core, making me grunt in pain. I gritted my teeth, my whole body feeling on fire, crackling with electricity that sparkled in my blood. No, ectoplasm or the thing in between. That was a bit of difference between me and the other ghosts or humans. As a halfa I was at first two halves of both, like a mirror. It was something you could separate or divide and I tried at least twice. Both of those ended horribly and would never be repeated. Back then I believed that this balance would remain, but I was mistaken. Those two very different beings had been merging. My ghost side was merging into my human half and human aspects started appearing on my ghost form. Apparently real ghost don't break bones or get dangerous wounds, injured organs… since they don't have them. Ghost don't have bones, organs or blood vessels. Yes they bleed ectoplasm, but that's what they're made of. I instead still kept my carbon based body when 'going ghost', like the awkward decree I shouted in my early years. Unlike a humans carbon-based body, mine was highly influenced and functioning on ectoplasm. I couldn't die from life-threatening wounds, not even from getting shot in either my head or core. My core, which was copying my human heart after a few years, was currently beating at a fastened pace. Jazz worried voice resounded in my ear. "Danny, the energy readings are of the charts! Can you really handle this? It's overstepping your boundary!" She was starting to panic herself. I tried to hide the grunt when I felt my skin rip slightly from the building energy. It didn't take long for my hyper-regeneration to heal all wounds. Another great function of ectoplasm; it could replace anything from bone to skin.

My core was straining from the power of the portal, but I won't stop. Letting this mass of power lose, would destroy this part of the infinity realms. I bit my check, tasting the acidic ectoplasm in my mouth when yet another wave of pain hit me. Gulping down the blood, I answered Jazz worried question. "Yes, I will. Get the specter speeder further away. I don't want you to get caught up in the blast if I lose control." Sam snorted loudly audible. "Don't even think about it. We stay right here to save your sorry ass for when it goes wrong!" I tried to snort back while biting back another groan of pain. The energy was now flickering through the barriers, curling around me. My body was now lit up like stadium lights and crackling with visible electricity. The current situation was 10 times worse than the state I left the portal in. The portal was the last anchor. The energy containing the connection of the portal was unleashing a massive energy wave. It tried to escape to its own realm before it closed for eternity. Another wave of pure energy washed over me, ripping apart my veins that had barely healed from the last wave. I couldn't stop my cry of pain as my skin burst from the energy. "Danny!" Both Jazz and Sam shouted my name. Sam's tone was rather angry. She wasn't finished. "Don't stay! Get away from there Danny. We can outrun it with the specter speeder." I groaned at her order. Tucker spoke up "No, you can't! We can't. The speed and size of this explosion would reach us faster than we can accelerate." This was something I could feel as well. This power, this energy pushing against me wanted out and fast. It was still building strength for the explosion. The other portals just build up power and exploded, dispersing its energy back into the zone. The current amount of energy was abnormal. I could only absorb so much at a time, while the energy behind my shields kept building into a larger charge.

Just then I could feel a slight chance in the endless energy current. Some of it was being pulled back. Oh crap, it wasn't going to reverse into imploding right? A small black hole was so much worse than a large explosion. Could this much energy create one? It wasn't a dying star so, no right? His headache was growing as his energy kept depleting over and over again. Tuckers voice resounded hasty yet exited. "Guys, something is happening with the portal! I'm getting different energy readings. It's of the charts!" So I wasn't the only one noticing the change of flow. My slight distraction made the next wave of penetrating energy even worse. I groaned when I could feel my very core crack under the pressure. The hidden cracks growing larger, deepening themselves again. It almost felt like my core, my heart would stop before its beat started to accelerate. It did its utmost bet to heal, to grow, to assimilate the massive amount of power wreaking my body. Tuckers voice was there to distract me from the pain. "Do you see these! They aren't from earth, wait are those symbols?" I glanced at the thing behind my barriers. Around the very destructive still 'exploding' portal appeared a metal like ring with glowing blue edges. It was turning around the portal with audible clicks. A strange clack resounded as the symbol atop the metal ring lit up. The symbol resembled a cross. It stopped for only a few seconds before the giant ring started turning again, several symbols flashing past. Jazz gasped. "Why does it feel like that ring is dialling?" Tucker grunted. "What do you mean by dialling? Like a cell phone? Are you telling me that freaky ghost ring is making a high energy phone call?" Jazz groaned at Tuckers bad humour. "No, it's only similar. Remember the old phone wired phone at the nasty burger? You need to turn the dialling plate, it will then roll back before you type in the second number. See, it's dialling those symbols one by one. Should we record the symbols it uses?" Tucker grumbled. "Old fashioned tech is so slow!" The circle was indeed taking it leisurely time to dial whatever it intended.

Once again distracted, I missed the next wave slamming heavily against my core. I cried out in pain, not able to keep it silent. Tucker cursed. "Danny, can you keep it up? Whatever that ring is, it's devouring the energy that was starting to escape the barriers. The intake of that ring is immense. It could lessen your burden." The next wave was still very painful to my already broken body, but less overwhelming as the former one. Was the ring syphoning more power? I glanced back at the specter speeder. The windows were shaded, but I could imagine their faces. The must be staring at me in fear, anxious about my every wound. I gave a soft smile towards the white futuristic hovercraft my parents build. At least they were safely inside it and not here at the source. If everything went down the drain, they could withstand the first hit. Tucker started his report about the situation, most likely to keep me occupied. "The ring dialled 6 symbols so far and still going. The energy intake is constant. Whatever that is, it's not form earth. This energy intake would kill the energy network of several states… I think. Oi Sam. Could you take a look at this?" Sam exclaimed in surprise, making me very curious. Her voice resounded with excitement. "But how? No, this first. Danny concentrate on absorbing ectoplasm. This ring is purely taking the building energy that's not coated with ectoplasm." When I did as they asked, the dialling ring seemed to move faster. So it wasn't slow per se. It just didn't have the energy to move fast? Tucker counted. "The seventh symbol…" My head was getting a little fuzzy from the pain now. Was I getting a fever? It was nice that the ring was sharing the power consumption of the explosion, but it was a tad late. I was already in this broken state. Tuckers voice sounded again. "It's dialling the eight…" Suddenly all sound was lost. The pulsing white and green energy stopped in place. The strange ring was stuck in place halfway a symbol. This could only mean one thing.

I took in my now peaceful surroundings spotting him. There he was. Clockwork the master of time itself. Grinning in his child form. A blue-skinned toddler with buckteeth. Red eyes with a scar, his waist ending in a ghostly tail, a purple cloak with hood and his tell-tale clock ticking in his chest. I sighed, feeling the pain in my body now that my adrenaline was wearing off. My whole body felt like it was burned and sliced to pieces. My core was throbbing in pain, the cracks moving with it and making it even more painful. "Hello Clockwork." I was tired and in no mood to ask what his interference meant. He would tell me either way in some annoying riddle. He wasn't the master of time in name only. "Yes Daniel, I'll keep it short." See, no need to ask. He can basically guess what you'd ask him, his way. "I've come to congratulate you and give advice on your future journey." I nodded. The toddler grew up into a middle aged ghost, his spectral tail swirling in blue. Clockwork never stopped switching between ages. It was extremely distracting if you had to follow his lessons. Which weren't always that… interesting. His middle aged form called for a certain respect, his toddler form did not. His low voice spoke softly, but it would be clearly transferred over the coms. "The infinity realms have lost any and all connections to Earth and its universe. It has latched onto a new universe where no treat has grown nor will ever bear. You've succeeded, but in return your presence has once again become a danger to the observers." Those disgusting eyeballs would once again be out for my life. If not for the observers, the G.I.W wouldn't have reached such influence. They antagonized the G.I.W, gave it information, plans, orders. If not for the stability of the infinity realms, those pieces of ectoplasm wouldn't remain in the after live. Clockwork didn't bother waiting for my thoughts and continued on.

"You can choose one of two paths. You can keep the barriers up when the dialling is done… or not. The first will keep you and your friends here in the infinity realms, the other will send the four of you on a new journey. One path leads to isolation, safety for the four of you and a heavy but honourable journey. The other to you and your friends possible futures. A future where you may grow your skills and potential. A once in a lifetime opportunity." I could hear Jazz voice in my coms. "Ask him what he means. What's behind that portal?" I groaned, not wanting to do anything but sleep. My mind was getting woozy and was partially asleep already. Yet Clockwork of course knows exactly what Jazz said. Since he can see 'all' outcomes. "To answer you Jasmine. The first path is staying in the infinity realms. It can become lonely and unpleasant for the living, but it will be safe and grow on you. The second path will lead to yet another universe where humans strive as well, but in a different time setting, where time and space have taken a different turn. The journey won't be without danger, nor can I interfere once you enter that universe." Tucker mumbled in his com. "Not really a great choice." As if answering Tucker, Clockwork rambled on. It had been a long time since this stopwatch was so talkative. "You'll be able to sharpen and use the skills you learned in college. You can grow your own future and explore new worlds. It will lead you to a new Destiny." All of us were silent waiting for someone to speak first. I sighed. "I will let them decide. It's their life as well as mine." Jazz yelled in frustration. "No Danny, you have just as much right to choose as us!"
