The Amazing Spider-Phantom

Chapter 1: Change of Scenery

It was a sunny day in the city of New York, as the streets were busy, while everyone was going about their way. That is until a massive chase ensues between the cops and a bunch of bank robbers who have hijacked an armored car carrying money.

"All units, we have a 10-30 in progress. Suspects appeared to have stolen an armored vehicle containing bank notes. Be advised, suspects appeared to be armed," as reported by a police radio.

The police kept chasing the hijacked vehicle, with no end in sight. That is until a familiar face arrived to help stop the crime. A masked man wearing a red and blue spandex suit with a spider symbol in the front and back, swings alongside the police cars. That man is none other than Spider-Man.

"Hoo boy, let's get to work," Spider-Man quipped, as he landed atop the armored vehicle.

Inside the vehicle, the robbers were bickering despite the score they took.

"Damn it Aleksei, we could've gotten away with the score had you not decided to fuck it up by going guns blazing!" one of the robbers ranted in a Queens accent.

"Oh shut it will ya, Marko! We got the money and frankly speaking we got enough to last us until the big man gets us a better job!" the robber named Alexei retorted, with a heavy Russian accent.

"Hey numbnuts, less bickering, more driving! Come on!" the last robber yelled, sounding annoyed.

As Aleksei kept driving, Spider-Man crawled to the driver side of the door knocking on the window.

Aleksei was shocked, but soon turned annoyed as he rolled down the windows to see that it was Spider-Man.

"Sup guys, my name is Spider-Man, but you can call me Webhead, you can call me Amazing, Spectacular, Ultimate, whatever is on your mind, just don't call me late for dinner," Spidey jokes.

Aleksei of course was annoyed and decided to punch Spider-Man in the face to which he avoids.

"Not a shaker, huh? Maybe a hugger?" Spider-Man asked.

"I'm a killer!" Aleksei yelled, taking out his gun trying to fire at Spider-Man.

"Woah ok, buddy," Spidey quipped, avoiding the bullet.

"Shoot this freak!" Marko yelled, as he and the other robber tried to fire at Spider-Man.

"Alright these guys aren't messing around, welp time to get this over with quickly," Spider-Man said.

Swinging over to the passengers side, Spider-Man takes out Marko, who was trying to get a shot at him but failed miserably. Soon he took out Aleksei by swinging inside the vehicle, kicking the driver out. But with no driver, the car was about to flip over. That is until Spider-Man managed to pick up the vehicle in the nick of time before it managed to hurt someone.

"Ugh come on Spidey, you got this!" Spider-Man said, as he struggled.

Eventually he manages to put the car down safely, as Spider-Man sighed in relief. Of course, the other robber who was inside comes out and tries to take Spider-Man out, but Spider-Man was aware of it thanks to his spider sense and webs the guy up. Soon the cops arrived, only to see that Spider-Man was swinging away, not before webbing up the robbers on top of a lamp pole.

"Man if only the Avengers, the X-Men, or the Fantastic Four could take care of these guys. Then again those guys have bigger problems to deal with instead of some petty street level crime," Spider-Man said to himself atop of a building, as he watched the police deal with the aftermath.

"Luckily I got these shots for the Bugle, so at least I can help Aunt May with our financial situation, despite the fact my own boss wants me arrested," Spider-Man said, looking at his camera that has Peter Parker labeled on it with all the shots he got.

That's right, true believers, Spider-Man's real name is Peter Parker, a high school student and photographer for the Daily Bugle. Anyways, Peter swings off to the Daily Bugle to send the pictures to his boss, J. Jonah Jameson, before heading home for the day.

'Man to believe it has almost been about a year ever since I was bitten by that radioactive spider at Oscorp. Hell so far I've been stopping street level crime and my first ever official super villain was a giant lizard man that turned out to be my father's colleague, Dr. Connors, who tried to turn the entire city into lizard people. I hope Connors is getting proper treatment at Ravencroft,' Peter thought to himself, as he swung across the city.

A Few Hours Later

After delivering the photos to Jameson and getting his check along with a rant about how the wallcrawler is a menace, Peter arrives back at home in his civilian attire consisting of a blue short sleeved button up shirt, a gray sweatshirt, black jeans, and Nike Dunks. Entering the house, Peter saw Aunt May who was preparing dinner for tonight.

"Hey Aunt May," Peter greeted, as his Aunt May turned around and smiled at her nephew.

"Oh Peter, it's so good to see you," she said, as she hugged Peter, to whom he hugged back.

Aunt May was a middle aged woman around her 60s, who had white streaks of hair despite being a brunette.

"Come sit, I made your favorite, meatloaf with mashed potatoes," Aunt May said, as the two sat down.

Peter took a bite of the meatloaf and instantly his face turned warm from the comfort of the food.

"Mmm, it tastes amazing as always," Peter said enthusiastically, as May chuckled from what her nephew said.

"Glad you enjoyed it," she said, as they continued eating and talking.

"So Peter, are you excited for the big day that's coming up," May said.

The big day as to what May was referring to was the fact that Peter is going to become an exchange student studying abroad in Tokyo, Japan. The school he is going to attend is called Shujin Academy.

"Yeah I guess, I mean don't get me wrong, like I'm excited, but at the same time, I'm still surprised as to how I managed to get into that program despite our financial situation," Peter said.

"Believe me, I was surprised too, but luckily Norman Osborn has decided to fund your stay in Tokyo for a year," May stated.

Peter chuckles, but then he remembered something.

"Wait, if I'm staying in Tokyo, where am I going to live exactly?" Peter asked.

"Oh I have already got in touch with the family you will be staying with. They're the Nijima's. Sae Nijima has agreed to let you into their family and plus she has a younger sibling, her name is Makoto Nijima and she is your senior in that school as well. Just so you know, Sae is also a public prosecutor so try not to get into trouble," May said.

"Don't worry I'll be fine, it's not like I got into too much trouble," Peter jokes, when May gave him a deadpan stare.

"Right like when you humiliated Flash Thompson in the school gym resulting in a basketball board being broken which technically is school property, or the times where you were late to class or skipped class," May retorted.

"Well ok you have me on the first one, but still with the other reasons, I was busy with my job at the bugle, trying to alleviate our financial situation," Peter stated, scratching his head in embarrassment.

"Anyways, continuing on with our previous conversation, did you tell everyone at the school about what will happen?" May asked.

"Yeah the school knows and let's just say everyone had a mixed reaction. I mean I mostly kept to myself in school, but Flash did wish me luck and I swear he looked like he was almost about to cry. Ned and Liz also wished me luck as well," Peter said.

"What about Gwen?" May asked, as Peter looked quiet.

Peter was remembering the last time they talked and it was right after her father's funeral. Gwen knew Peter was Spider-Man as he told her that he was the wall crawler. They had a thing for each other, but after Gwen's dad, George Stacy, died by the hands of the Lizard at Oscorp tower, Captain Stacy made Peter promise to keep her out of danger. Peter accepted, even though it hurts to the point the two broke up and as such there was still a little tension between the two, but they remained civil.

"Peter?" Aunt May asked worriedly, as she noticed Peter was quiet and looked somber.

"Yeah…yeah I'm fine and yeah Gwen, she wished me luck as well," Peter said, trying hard to stay strong.

Aunt May raised an eyebrow, but soon let it go as she noticed the clock.

"Oh dear it's getting late, best we get some sleep," Aunt May said, as she took the dishes and washed them.

"Right," Peter said, as he was rather tired and didn't want to go out patrolling for the night.

The Next Few Days

The big day has arrived, as Peter woke up and got ready. After breakfast, Peter got outside with his bags and everything, as May drove Peter to the airport.

"Well we're here now, so be safe and remember to try to stay out of trouble," Aunt May said.

"Don't worry Aunt May, I won't get in trouble, scouts honor," Peter jokes, as Aunt May rolls her eyes but smiles.

After the two hug, Peter enters the airport. Once he passed tsa, he waited for his flight until he got a call from Gwen.

"Hello?" Peter asked.

"Hey Peter, it's me Gwen. I just wanted to wish you good luck on the trip and say sorry for not coming to see you at the airport," Gwen said.

"It's fine, it's rather early in the morning so I wouldn't want to bother you with that. How's everything with the family?" Peter asked.

"They're good, we're still dealing with the fact that my dad is gone, but we're moving on," Gwen said.

"Listen, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, I know sorry doesn't cut it but I-"

"Pete, I never blamed you for my father's death. What's done is done, that's all in the past. I just want to point it out," Gwen said with finality.

"Right, sorry for being angsty," Peter chuckled with embarrassment.

"It's fine, besides I'm glad that you're being given this opportunity, but at the same time, I'm concerned," Gwen said.

"Why's that?" Peter asked.

"Well with you gone, who's going to protect this city?" Gwen asked.

"Uh don't we have a lot of superheroes in New York that can fit the job? I mean I know a guy that dresses in all red and has horns, a guy from Harlem that's bulletproof, plus the Avengers can step in. If anything, New York will be fine, plus I heard that the new Police Captain, Yuri Watanabe is doing a fine job doing what Captain Stacy has done before," Peter stated.

"You have a point, still I'm not so sure," Gwen said.

"Hey if anything, maybe Spider-Man can go international this time? I mean I already got a reputation after defeating Connors at Oscorp and I did manage to team up with some heroes despite the fact that I only dealt with street level crime," Peter jokes.

"Alright I get it, anyways don't you have a flight to attend?" Gwen asked.

"Shit, you're right! Look, I'll talk to you when I arrive in Tokyo, be safe ok?" Peter said, ending the call as he ran fast to the boarding area.

Once he got on his flight, he took a seat which was close to the window.

'Alright Peter, this is a one year program, let's hope things go well,' Peter thought to himself, as he took out his mp3 player.

Peter searched for a song to play and found the exact song. With his earbuds on, he listened to "Swing, Swing" by The All-American Rejects, as he closed his eyes for this long flight.

Fourteen Hours Later

Peter finally arrives in Japan, as he passed through immigration and all that jazz. As he looked for the people who were going to take him in, someone called for his name. He turns around to see a woman with long white hair and a plaque with his name.

"You must be Sae Nijima, correct?" Peter asked, as the woman named Sae nodded.

"Indeed. Come with me, I parked right outside," she said, as the two left the airport.

As Sae drove Peter to the apartment complex, Peter took a look at the city of Tokyo. It was most definitely different compared to New York. Soon they arrived at the apartment, as they got out of the car.

"Since your aunt and I have arranged you to stay with us for the school year, you'll be in the guest bedroom," Sae said, as the two entered the apartment.

They were soon greeted by a teenager with brunette short hair.

"Peter, this is my younger sister, Makoto. Makoto, this is Peter Parker. He's the exchange student that will be living with us this year," Sae explained.

"It's nice to meet you Makoto-san! Wait, did I use the honorific right? I'm still getting used to learning Japanese," Peter said, as Makoto chuckled.

"It's fine, if anything you speak it better than some of the students in Shujin. Also it's nice meeting you too, I hope we get along well," Makoto said, as Peter nodded.

"Anyways Makoto, please show our guest around the apartment, as I need to get back to work," Sae said, as she left the apartment.

Makoto does exactly as told, as she showed Peter around the apartment. Soon she showed Peter where he's going to sleep.

"And this is your bedroom, hope you like it," she said, as they both entered the bedroom.

The bedroom was simple, as there was a bed, a small tv, window, a drawer, closet, and desk.

"It's perfect, kind of homey," Peter said, as he set his bags down.

"Glad you like it, anyways do you need help unpacking?" she asked, as Peter shook his head.

"It's fine, I can do it myself," Peter said, assuring Makoto that he's got this.

As Makoto left the bedroom, Peter unpacked his clothes. He first set his Spider-Man stuff in a separate area to make sure no one can find it, as he doesn't want anyone to know his secret identity. Soon he unpacked his other items, before getting out of the room.

Night Time

Right now it's evening time, as both Peter and Makoto sat at the dinner table.

"So is Sae-san not coming for dinner?" Peter asked, as Makoto nodded.

"Yeah, my sis works so much to the point she comes home late. It's fine I've gotten used to it," Makoto said, before changing the subject.

"So I heard you were some kind of science wiz back home?" Makoto asked, as Peter nodded.

"Yeah you could say that, but I also do photography as a hobby and a job," Peter said, which surprised Makoto.

"Wait, you have a job? I didn't know that," Makoto said, as Peter nodded.

"Yeah, I work as a photographer for the Daily Bugle. I'm sure you're aware of Spider-Man, as I'm the one that took photos of the guy. I send it to my boss, J. Jonah Jameson, who really HATES Spider-Man," Peter said.

"Huh is that right? What's it like to live in a city so filled with superheroes?" Makoto asked.

"Well if you can ignore alien attacks, supervillains, and the fear of being blown to pieces, it's actually pretty sweet. I mean we get to see heroes live in front of us, knowing they'll protect us," Peter said.

"Well my sister thinks otherwise," Makoto retorted, as Peter chuckled.

"To each their own," Peter said.

"Anyways it's getting late, we should probably get some sleep. Tomorrow me and Sae are going to show you around the school and you'll be meeting Principal Kobayakawa and your teacher," Makoto said, as Peter nodded.

After wishing each other goodnight, Peter went into his room. Changing into his sleepwear consisting of a t-shirt and pajama pants, he falls asleep in his bed, awaiting a brand new day.

Note: I was inspired by a fanfiction I read on AO3 that made me want to write this crossover like story. Basically I took elements from certain Marvel properties(Meaning Movies, Shows, Cartoons, and Games) and incorporated them into the Persona universe and what not. For Spider-Man/Peter Parker, his story background and appearance/looks are inspired by the Andrew Garfield incarnation of the character, personality is like a mix of Andrew Garfield, Josh Keaton, Yuri Lowenthal, Tobey Maguire, and Tom Holland, and if you want to think of a voice actor for this version, it would be either Josh or Yuri. I'll include some characters from the Marvel mythos, but make it so that they can fit in some way. Hope you guys can support this and enjoy the story
