A Short Foreword

Over a decade ago, I cursed this site with my lovely first edition of "The Search for Light," a Twilight Princess fanfiction. Self-insert OC and all, it was a fun story that I spent waaaay too much time on. It's definitely come a long way since then, but even as the story improved and my writing improved, I hit a wall that I could just...never overcome.

As most of us probably are, I am currently enduring hella Zelda brainrot with the recent release of TOTK. In light of all the recent love resurging for this beautiful series, I feel like it's finally time to reveal why I haven't updated The Search For Light in eight years:

It's changed. I got quite carried away and it's just... not the same.
You'll still find similarities between "Under The Setting Sun" and TSFL, but my writing style and my vision for my previous characters has far outgrown the mold TSFL has set. If this is your first time reading anything I've made, hi! Welcome! Hope you like it! This is loosely based around The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, though honestly Zelda lore is spaghetti and I think that's a fun thing to play with, so you might find some surprises along the way. If you're a returning reader, or someone who thinks this story or my screen name sounds just a bit familiar, I'd like to say thanks for finding me again. I hope you enjoy what this silly old story has become.

I can't promise this one will be finished either, but I can say with certainty that I have already written a lot further than the old version, so chances are decent.
