Chapter One: Kids Of The Other Side

A/N: Yes I know I have done one for both of these characters but they're literally my favorites and I got an idea I wanted to do for them both.

"Oh man. Omar's gonna kill me. I was supposed to be two hours ago. I don't even recognize this part of the creek. Where even am I?" Alexis asks as she is walking around an unfamiliar part of the creek.

"Lost are we?" A voice asks revealing to be two acorn knights.

"Who are you?" Alexis asks as she backs away slightly.

"We're King Xavier's acorn knights and you're trespassing." One of the acorn knights says.

"King Xavier? Uh-oh." Alexis says in alarm.

"Come with us quietly and there won't be any trouble." The other acorn knight says.

"Gotta catch me first!" Alexis says as she begins running.

"Hey! Get back here!" The acorn knights shout as they chase after Alexis.

*Timeskip*

"Phew. I think I lost them." Alexis says as she stops running while panting to catch her breath.

"You might have lost them but you didn't lose us." A voice says revealing to be two boys.

"Stay back! Both of you. I mean it!" Alexis says as she grabs a nearby branch.

"Come on now. Don't make this any harder. Besides you won't escape us so easily. We didn't get to be champions for nothing." The shorter boy says as the older boy makes hand signals.

"Champions?" Alexis asks curiously.

"You really aren't from around here are you beautiful? Name's Keun Sup but I go by The Blur and this here's Jackie but otherwise known as The Arm. Our friend Aggie the Squashanator isn't out here today or you'd really be in for trouble." Keun Sup says.

"Leave me alone. That's the only warning you'll get. I'm stronger and faster than I look." Alexis says as she raises her branch up.

"Oh please. Nobody can put run me and Jackie's aim is a near impossible miss. You don't wanna tangle with us." Keun Sup says as Jackie makes hand signals.

"As I said to your friends I won't go without a fight!" Alexis says as she runs off with her branch.

"Game on then!" Keun Sup shouts as he and Jackie chase after Alexis.

*Timeskip*

"Come on out. We know you're hiding around here somewhere." Keun Sup says as he and Jackie are searching below a tree where Alexis is hinding in while holding her branch.

"That kid seriously think I'm gonna just come out because he says to?" Alexis asks quietly.

"I kinda do." A voice says revealing to be Keun Sup as he is standing on a nearby branch behind Alexis.

"Ah!" Alexis says as she jumps from being startled and tumbles out of the tree and into Jackie's arms as he catches her and tries to wrap his arms around her but is unable to do so before she jumps out of his arms and grabs her branch as she backs away from the toy boys.

"Gotcha!" Keun Sup says as he and Jackie close in on Alexis.

"Not yet you don't!" Alexis says as she takes a swing at Keun Sup with her branch only to miss him due to his speed.

"You got some real fight in you for a girl who doesn't look like a fighter. But that's not enough to get past us." Keun Sup says as he is running around Alexis and she is swatting at him and Jackie with the branch.

"Hey! Let me go. Get off! You have no idea who you're messing with!" Alexis shouts as Jackie grabs her from behind and pins her on the ground smirking as he grabs the branch and tossed it out of reach.

"Says the wolf kid who's been hanging with the Green Poncho." Keun Sup says as Alexis gives an alarmed look.

"I have no idea what you're talking about." Alexis says as she looks away in concern.

"Please. We know what you are and who you hang with. We've seen you around the creek's outer edges. Pretty smart sticking to the outer areas that Xavier can't control. Not so smart getting lost in his territory." Keun Sup says.

"Duh. I kinda figured that out genius. Now get off or so help me I will shift and start biting!" Alexis says angrily as she tries to get lose from Jackie's grip.

"Let her up Jackie. We've toyed around enough." Keun Sup says as Jackie nods and let's Alexis up.

"Toyed? You two weren't even trying to catch me!?" Alexis asks angrily.

"For a while yeah but we had more fun just chasing you so we let up on capturing you." Keun Sup says as he smiles while Jackie snickers.

"I don't believe you. My brother said none of you can be trusted." Alexis says cautiously.

"Look if we wanted to capture you we'd have done it already. We find you more interesting left alone rather than giving you to Xavier. Of course if that's what you'd prefer we can hand you right on over to him and he'll do a lot worse to you than what we did toying around." Keun Sup says as Jackie smiles and nods.

"No, no. Fine. You win. I'd rather you two." Alexis says reluctantly.

"Good. Glad you see it our way." Keun Sup says as Jackie makes hand signals.

"Why do you keep doing that?" Alexis asks as she sees Keun Sup and Jackie making more signals with their hands.

"Doing what?" Keun Sup asks confusedly.

"You keep making signs with your hands in front of your friend there and he keeps making them too. Why?" Alexis asks as she looks at Keun Sup and Jackie.

"Oh well Jackie's deaf. He communicates through sign language." Keun Sup says as Jackie nods.

"Uh what did he say?" Alexis asks as she looks at Keun Sup.

"He said that you gave us a pretty good chase. He enjoyed it. Definitely more challenging to catch you than others we've chased after. And if you're wise you won't make the mistake of getting lost on our side again." Keun Sup says as Alexis smiles slightly.

"Noted. So why aren't you taking me to your King? I thought that was your job." Alexis says.

"It is. But we like you. You're interesting. So we decided to leave you be. So in other words long as you don't do anything to give us reason to hand you over to Xavier we won't bother you." Keun Sup says.

"Huh. You're not at all like I thought you'd be." Alexis says as she cautiously puts down her branch while keeping her eyes on the boys.

"Well we're not all like Xavier. We do the stuff out of force not because we want to. You think we enjoy dressing up like this?" Keun Sup asks as Jackie makes hand signals.

"Uh?" Alexis asks as she looks at Keun Sup.

"He said it's not pleasant. So any kind of excitement we can get without getting caught is pretty welcome. Especially from a pretty girl." Keun Sup says as he and Jackie smirk causing Alexis to blush.

"I can tell but thanks for the compliment. But I don't think your clothes are that bad. They're kinda cute honestly. Though I know the feeling of preceding your regular clothes. I hate when mom makes me dress up when we go out for dinners. Much rather my cloak and pants over a dress." Alexis says as she smiles softly.

"Well if it means anything you're not what we expected either. But we like this you. It's a nice change from our usual days around here." Keun Sup says as Jackie makes more hand signals.

"You guys aren't so bad either. Um?" Alexis asks confusedly looking at Jackie.

"Oh right. Sorry. You never did tell us your name. We told you ours so what's yours?" Keun Sup asks as Jackie smiles and nods.

"Alexis. Alexis Hathaway. I'm adopted. That's why it's not exactly obvious I'm the Green Poncho's sister." Alexis says as she smiles kindly.

"Sorry to hear that." Keun Sup says as he gives a sympathetic look.

"It's alright. So are you guys gonna do anything when I try to leave or...?" Alexis asks as she gestures to leaving.

"Nah. You can leave. Be smart anyway. You gonna try coming back?" Keun Sup asks curiously.

"Do you want me to?" Alexis asks curiously before Keun Sup looks at Jackie as the two make more hand signals.

"I don't mind and Jackie said he wouldn't mind either. Give us a nice change of pace and we can always play that game of cat and mouse if we ever need to because of Xavier. He won't suspect us since we're his champions." Keun Sup says as he and Jackie smile.

"Alright. But if I come can we try hang out a bit somewhere that we won't be bothered? I don't particularly want chased all the time. And could you maybe teach me sign language so I can understand what Jackie's saying because otherwise I'm just gonna be lost. Especially if you're not around to translate what he's trying to tell me." Alexis says as she chuckles.

"Sure. We can both teach you. Jackie actually taught me and Aggie how to do it. But you got a deal. It'll be nice having some around is an actual friend apart from Aggie. She's the only real friend we got around here no thanks to Xavier. Because of him it's hard to tell when someone is really and friend and when they're not." Keun Sup says as he and Jackie give slightly sad looks causing Alexis to give a sympathetic look.

"I believe it. I feel for you on that. I know the feeling. I've not always had the best luck with friends either. I've been lucky to make the ones I have. Most people just see me as an odd kid apart from the ones who've taken the time to get to know me. But just don't let my brother see you. He'll throw a fit if he finds out much like Xavier would." Alexis says with worry.

"Not a problem. But seriously be more careful when you're in the territory. We'll let you be but Aggie might not since she doesn't know we're letting you be in turn for someone new to hang with and Maya definitely wont let you go since she's the King's bff. So definitely be careful from now on." Keun Sup says as Jackie nods in agreement.

"Got it. Thank you. Uh can you two point me back to the main road? I still have no idea where I'm even at. I'm not used to being this deep into the area." Alexis says as she smiles in embarrassment.

"Sure. Follow us. We know a shortcut and it's secluded so you won't have to worry about being bothered." Keun Sup says as he chuckles while Jackie gestures for Alexis to follow.

"Thanks." Alexis says happily as she begins following the two.
