Summary: Bella is not the shy, timid, clumsy girl you expect. Her eyes are wide open, from the first day she walks into Forks High. J/B, OOC, Rated M, may or may not have future smut, I like reading it, not so sure on the writing it.

Bella sighed as she stared into her closet, looking for something to wear. She really didn't care what people thought of her, but she knew Charlie would have something to say if she wasn't presentable for her first day at Forks High. She dressed in her favorite jeans and her Nine Inch Nails t-shirt that Renee bought her at the last concert they went to. Pulling on her well worn chucks, she grabbed her bag and headed down to the kitchen.

"Morning Bells, looking forward to your first day?" Charlie grinned, as he looked at her over the morning newspaper.

"More like looking forward to it being over, Dad." she huffed out as she grabbed her travel mug and filled it with coffee.

"I have a long shift at the station tonight kid, will you be able to handle dinner yourself?" Charlie said, looking at her guiltily.

Bella smiled at her Dad, the Chief of Police for the small town of Forks. He took his role in the community seriously, and worked long hours, as she had learned. "Yeah Dad, I've got it covered. I'll leave your plate in the fridge, just nuke it for 3 minutes when you get home." Bella said as she walked out of the kitchen. "Be careful Dad, love you."

Charlie frowned, not liking that his 17-year-old daughter was so used to taking care of herself. "Always am." Charlie said as picked up his mug and took a sip. "Love you too kid," he mumbled as the front door closed.

The old red truck Charlie bought for her backfired when she pulled up next to a girl standing with some guy. He had his arm around her shoulders and his hand on her boob. She was tall, and blonde, but her hair looked frizzy and she was dressed in a way that surprised Bella, wow, they'll let you wear anything in this school, she thought.

She heard the girl laughing and talking shit when she got out of her truck.

"Hey skank, are you talking shit about me?" Bella growled as she flipped her long brown hair over her shoulder and looked the girl up and down. Her eyes snapped up to Bella's, shock evident in her features. She was a bully, and bullies didn't react well to confrontation. But she wasn't your typical bully; she could back it up.

"Yeah, so what, who the fuck are you?" the girl snarled back, taking a step towards Bella.

Bella looked at her, her brows scrunching together in thought as she smirked at her. "I'm Bella Swan, can I sit with you at lunch?"

The girl smirked back, "I'm Lauren, I'll see you then."

Bella laughed and walked towards the school, happy she already had someone on her side.

After getting her class schedule, she spent the morning trying to stay awake in between shooting dirty looks at every horny little boy that was staring and drooling. Bella was the shiny new toy and all of the boys were having thoughts of her being their girlfriend, or weekend conquest, depending on which one of them happened to be staring her down. The bell rang and she rose, grabbing her backpack and muttering to herself, she walked out of the classroom and followed the wave of kids towards the cafeteria.

"Hey, Bella, wait up!" Lauren called as she pushed her way through the crowd and walked up to her, a pretty girl with brown hair walking up behind her.

Peeking around Lauren, she waved. "Hi, Bella, I'm Jessica, it's cool to meet you."

Bella looked at Jessica and nodded her head, pointing with her thumb over her shoulder. "I'm fucking starving, lets head to lunch!"

Lauren nodded and they started walking.

Bella hadn't been looking forward to starting school at Forks High in the middle of the semester. She'd been hoping to wait to come to Forks until the summer, but Phil and Renee had to move sooner than expected, so she sucked it up and came to Forks a full 2 months early. Screw it, at least Lauren is cool, she thought as she walked in behind Jessica.

"So, Bella, you're Chief Swan's daughter right? Why did you move to Forks? Is it true your Mom married a guy that just graduated from high school? Is that even LEGAL? Aren't you from Phoenix? Why are you so pale? Oh, I love your outfit, where did you get that shirt?" Jessica, in one breath, asked pretty much every question she could, completely oblivious to the fact that she was being rude.

"Seriously, who the fuck is she?" Bella said, looking at Lauren.

"Jess is my best friend," Lauren said, "you'll get used to her."

"Doubtful," Bella replied as Jessica just kept talking. The three girls grabbed trays and went through the line, taking a few of the items that looked edible. "Oh hell yeah, I LOVE cafeteria Pizza!" Bella said as she grabbed a slice.

Lauren shook her head and grabbed a sandwich. "Uh, ok, Bella, you might change your mind once you taste it!"

"Naw, bitch, cafeteria pizza is the best!" She laughed as she gave her card to the cashier.

The girls walked over to their table, several boys with wide eyes staring at Bella as she sat down. "Guys, this is Bella, the new bitch. Bella, these are the guys. Don't let them scare you, they just haven't seen a new girl here since the Cullens came into town, and they don't talk to anyone but themselves."

Bella nodded at the boys and picked up her pizza, taking a big bite. "Oh merh gard, that's goofd," she mumbled, chewing the pizza.

Lauren looked at her and just started laughing "Ok, Swan, there is something wrong with you!"

Bella started to respond when Jessica suddenly stopped talking and looked over Bella's shoulder towards the outside door of the cafeteria. Bella turned around just as they were walking in. Her eyes got as huge as saucers as she saw a blonde woman and a HUGE guy with dark curly hair walk in the door holding hands. The blonde woman was an amazon, she had to have been at least 6 feet tall, her long blonde hair cascading down her back. She was beautiful, but the scowl on her face took away from her natural beauty. The man holding her hand had a wide smile, all teeth and dimples. He was somehow a huge man and an adorable boy all in one massive package. He towered at least 4 inches over the amazon. Bella choked on her coke and slammed down the can as she turned around coughing. "What in the hell, do they let all the teachers hold hands and walk around the school?" The entire table turned towards her in confusion. "What, is that normal?"

Jessica was, not surprisingly, the first to speak up. "Bella! Those aren't teachers! That's Rosalie Hale and Emmett McCarty! They are Seniors!"

Bella rolled her eyes and chuckled. "No fucking way are those two Seniors Jessica, they look like they are 25 years old!"

The blonde and her giant sat down across the cafeteria, he pulled her chair closer to him and put his large, muscular arm around her shoulders. Her eyes met Rosalie's and she was looking at Bella intently, a small frown on her face. She saw the big guy, Emmett lightly smack her shoulder and she broke eye contact and looked up at him.

Jessica scooted closer to Bella and continued "Those are two of the "Cullen" kids, the others should be on their way shortly."

Bella took another bite of her pizza, shaking her head a bit, she thought, no way are they seniors, I don't care what anyone says.

Suddenly, Jess poked her in the ribs to get her attention.

"Ow, what the fuck, Jessica? " But Jessica was very obviously jerking her head to the side, indicating she wanted Bella to look the way she was "pointing", or she was having some sort of seizure, it was hard to tell.

Bella turned slightly back towards the door. Her mouth fell open as a tiny little girl walked in, her black spiky hair making her look like a character out of a manga graphic novel. She was very well dressed and despite her very high (and clearly expensive) heels, was still barely 5 feet tall. She dragged someone behind her, smiling and laughing as she spun around like they were dancing. Bella's eyes slowly moved up the front of the guy behind the pixie, tight black t-shirt accentuating obvious muscles, broad shoulders and a thick neck, clearly this guy worked out. Strong chin and jawline, amazing plump lips, a straight nose that fit his face. As she looked at his eyes, noticing they were an odd light butterscotch, he quickly moved his eyes towards her. Bella felt like she couldn't look away, his gaze had her locked in and she felt a tingle go through her body. She smirked as he winked at her, walking by with the pixie as he bent down, whispering in her ear. They passed the table and Bella couldn't help but watch them until they sat down at the table with amazon barbie and ken.

Bella spun around towards Jessica, "Who are they?"

Jessica laughed. "Those are more of the Cullen kids, Jasper Hale and Alice Cullen. Jasper is Rosalie's twin brother." Suddenly, Jessica broke out into a huge smile. "Oh Bella, if you thought they are gorgeous, you are in for a treat."

Bella thought there are MORE of them, what in the fuck is in the water in this town? She once again turned towards the door. It opened and a god walked in. 6' tall or more, bronze hair, unruly like someone just ran their hands through it. Tight tshirt and jeans accentuating his slim but muscular physique. He had a beautiful face, too beautiful. His features were almost feminine and he had a smile on his face that rubbed Bella the wrong way.

"That's Edward Cullen," Jessica said. "He doesn't date anyone in the school. I bet he only dates college girls, he's so beautiful" she sighed and looked dreamy.

"Jessica, are you kidding me? That guy is a complete douchebag. Did you see how he walked in like he was god's gift to the school? I don't think I've ever seen a guy so full of himself!" Bella glanced over towards their table as Edward sat down. Emmett was laughing holding his stomach, the pixie was giggling, leaning into the blonde guy Jasper. He had a smile on his face, and glanced at Bella. Edward was facing away but his shoulders were tense. How odd, Bella thought, there's no way they heard me from across the cafeteria. Bella turned around and looked at Lauren, sick of hearing Jessica's take on everything. "Lauren, that blonde guy, Jasper? He's with the pixie chick?''

Lauren grinned and looked at Bella, "Why do you ask Bella, got your sights on Jasper? Not bad for your first day, set that bar high!"

Bella rolled her eyes as the lunch bell rang. Everyone stood up and Bella chatted with Lauren as they walked towards their afternoon classes.

"What's your next class?" A blonde guy, what the frick was his name?, who sat with them said. She frowned and looked at him. "Biology," he looked so excited, she sighed. "I take it, you have it as well?" she questioned him.

"Yes!" he smiled. "I'll walk you there!". Bella looked at Lauren pleadingly.

"Sorry Bella, I'm on the other side of the building, gotta go, byeeeeeee bitch!" Jessica and Lauren walked away, Lauren wagging her eyebrows at Bella and mouthed Mike as she turned the corner. Mike looked at her expectantly.

"Don't get any ideas, I'm just walking to the same class as you and I have ZERO interest in little boys." Mike looked hurt, but Bella couldn't find it in her to care.
