Pokémon Something is Up Chap 1 Reunion
Ash Ketchum was walking throughout the streets of Pallet Town, his hometown, and he was currently heading back home. He had just finished his journey in Kalos, and he was so close to winning, but he lost in the finals to Alain. The loss hurt, and Ash was devastated, but now he was ready to be back home. "Pikachu, are you ready to be back home?" Ash asked his faithful partner.
"Pika (Sure Am)," Pikachu replied.
He chuckled at Pikachu's enthusiasm. "Me to buddy," He replied.
Ash arrived at his childhood home and went to the front door and knocked on it, but to his surprise, no one answered, "That's weird." He muttered to himself in confusion. He had told his mom earlier that he was leaving Kalos, so she knew he would be coming soon.
Even more to his surprise, he found the door was unlocked, and he pushed it open, to find everything was dark. He flipped the light switch. "Surprise!" He heard many voices yell.
Ash looked around and saw all of his former traveling companions were there: Brock, Misty, Tracey, May and her younger brother Max, Dawn, Iris, Clian, Serena, and finally Bonnie and Clemont. Also, May's boyfriend, Drew, was there. Ash had learned that May and Drew started dating not too long ago, but for some odd reason, Ash had a bad feeling about them dating. He didn't know why he felt this way about their relationship. He honestly never cared for Drew. He knew he was May's rival, but he could take things too far sometimes, and that would make Ash angry at him. He just had a bad feeling when he was around Drew, and he couldn't explain why.
Ash was soon tackled by a blur, and it soon turned out to be May, who tackled him to the ground with a hug. "I missed you so much, Ash," She said while hugging him.
Ash blushed, and with a very jealous Drew looking on, Ash let out a nervous chuckle. "I missed you too, May," He said with a nervous chuckle.
They stayed like that for a few seconds until they heard someone clear their throat, and they both looked and saw Drew. They both quickly got off of each other, and Ash blushed and noticed something strange. May looked really scared, like really scared, and he couldn't figure out why she was scared, but there was a feeling deep down that something was going on.
Drew then put his arm around May and whispered something to her,causing May's eyes to widen and her to let out a gulp. Ash could see Drew's grip on May's shoulder tighten, and he could see her wince in pain. After that, the party was in full swing, and everybody was catching up with each other. They were all sitting on the couch, and Pikachu was sitting on May's lap, getting loving pets, and Pikachu was enjoying every second of it, cooing, causing May to giggle.
Pikachu then nuzzled against her wrist, but then May did something unexpected; she flinched and yelped out in pain and pulled her hand back, holding her wrist in pain. Both Ash and Pikachu looked worried and concerned. "What's wrong?" Ash asked, worry in his voice.
"Nothing" She was quick to reply, hoping Ash would buy it, as she held her wrist in pain.
But Ash didn't buy it. He could see that look of pain on May's face. He quickly grabbed her wrist, before she could do anything, pulled her gloves back, and gasped at what he saw—a huge and nasty-looking bruise on her wrist, and it looked like it was fresh. Ash looked at May, worry in his eyes. "May, what happened to your wrist?" Ash asked, concern in his voice.
May quickly pulled her hand away. "I'm really clumsy, that's all," She was quick to reply.
Ash didn't buy her answer, but didn't decide to push any further, but he did notice that May seemed nervous, as she was biting her lip and twiddling her fingers nervously, and he would see her stealing glances at Drew. Ash, though, decided to change the subject to lighten the mood and cheer May up, and he would push her further later, hopefully getting some answers. "How about we go see my Pokémon?" Ash asked her, hoping to cheer her up.
This worked; Ash could see May's eyes lit up in excitement, and he couldn't help but admire her shinning sapphire eyes. He also admired her eyes. May quickly got off of the couch and began dragging Ash to Professor Oak's Lab to see all of Ash's Pokémon, As Ash was being dragged, He couldn't help but to think about back to the first time he met May and how much she disliked Pokémon. To see how far she had come, it made him happy to see how much she loved and cared for her Pokémon now.
They arrived in the lab and outside. "HEY EVERYONE I"M BACK" He yelled out.
A stampede of all of Ash's Pokémon began charging towards him, with Bayleef leading the charge. She ran into him and began nuzzling his cheek affectionately, "Bay" She greeted him, and May giggled at the cute scene, as she found it to be cute for a Pokémon to have a crush on Ash.
Totodile then approached May and began dancing happily, showing off his cutness to her, and it worked to perfection, as May gushed at the cuteness. "Aww...you're so cute, Totodile," May said, gushing over his cuteness.
Totodile then blushed, and May began lovingly petting him, causing him to coo in happiness and begin dancing again, making May giggle again. Ash watched on and couldn't help but notice something, that worried him greatly: there was a myriad of bruises, along with some scratches and other marks, with a few bruises on her arm with a couple of scratches, and there were a couple around her thigh and a few on her legs. This all but confirmed that it wasn't from her being clumsy, as there's no way she was that clumsy, and he could feel something was wrong and he had a knot in his stomach.
Ash tried to push these thoughts away for right now and ask her later, as he just wanted to May to be happy right now, but it was hard for right now. Ash smiled, though, as he saw his Pokémon and May having a deeper connection than any of his other traveling companions. Sceptile then went over to May, as he remembered May fondly. "Hey Sceptile," She greeted him.
"Sceptile" He replied.
May then began scratching underneath the Pokémon's chin, and Sceptile looked very content. Next came over was Torkoal and Corphish ran over to May, with Torkoal crying like usual, and Corphish began clapping its pinchers in happiness, and she gave both of them affectionate scratches, much to the Pokemon's delight. Ash then showed May some of his new Pokémon from Unova and Kalos, and she found Oshawott and Scraggy to be really cute, to which both of the Pokemon ate up the attention, and she found his other caught Pokemon to be really cool. His new caught Pokémon instantly made a connection with May.
Finally, there was Charizard, one of his most difficult to handle. He had brought Charizard from Charfic Valley. He flew straight down right next to May, and Ash looked on with a smug look on his face, as he knew how hard it was to control the Pokémon, but he then looked on with shock as Charizard lowered his head towards May, and May scratched his head, making the Pokemon smile in delight. After a few seconds of standing in shock, "So you like her, huh?" Ash asked him.
Charizard then shot fire at him in reply, saying, "So, May, do you have any new Pokémon?" Ash asked her.
"Why don't you see for yourself?" May asked playfully.
May then called out her Pokémon; of course she had Glaceon and Blazkien, but she also had a Vulpix, Flaffy, Altira, and a baby Phanpy. "Phanpy just hatched a few days ago, and I have a few more Pokémon," May told Ash.
The baby Phanpy then nuzzled against May's leg affectionately. The two spent the rest of the day, playing with their Pokémon, catching up with each other, and telling their stories of their adventures. By the time they were done, it was around nighttime, and the two went back to Ash's house, where they saw a very angry-looking Drew greeted them, "Where have you been?" He spat at her angrily.
May flinched "I was just hanging out with Ash," May replied.
Drew glared at Ash angrily, and he then grabbed her wrist, gripping on her tightly, making her flinch in pain. "C'mon, we're leaving," Drew said with venom laced in his voice.
May, though, held on, as she wanted to stay a little longer. "Drew, can you please stay for a couple of days?" May asked her, pleading with him.
Drew was about to answer with a no, but then May used her secret weapon, her famous puppy-dog eyes. Drew let out a sigh of defeat; even he could resist the puppy-dog eyes. "Fine" He grumbled angrily.
May cheered in happiness and gave her boyfriend a loving peck on the cheek. "Don't worry, Drew, I fell for the puppy-dog eyes before too," Ash joked with him.
May let out a giggle, while Drew let out a fake chuckle. Delila then called out to them, letting them know that dinner was ready. May asked Delia if she and Drew could stay for a few days, and of course Delia agreed, and she let May and Drew have Ash's room while Ash would sleep on the couch. May tried to argue with Delia, but it was no use. The four then began eating their dinner, with May and Ash eating at their usual pace. That was until Drew spoke up. "May, what have I told you? Stop eating so much, you pig!" He yelled at her.
May flinched with tears, threating to spill out. "Sorry" She said, and began eating her food at a slower pace.
Ash and Delia both shot a glare. After dinner was over, it was nighttime, and everyone went to get ready for bed, with Drew and May in Ash's room. "You better not have done anything with Ketchum today," Drew yelled at her.
"We didn't do anything, Drew, I promise," May told him.
Drew then slapped on her cheek hard, leaving his handprint on her cheek. "You better not lie to me, bitch. If I ever find you cheating on me, so help me." He threatened her.
May held her cheek in pain and began crying as she watched Drew walk into the bathroom. After Drew got ready, he looked at May, still holding her cheek and crying. He scoffed at her "Pathetic" He spat at her.
May then went into the bathroom, to get ready for bed. She looked herself in the mirror; her eyes were red and puffy from the crying, and a handprint was now on her cheek. She held her cheek in pain, as it stung from the sleep, and she stood there for a few seconds, just crying, "May hurry up." She heard Drew yell.
May then quickly changed into her pajamas and got into bed with Drew, and she eventually fell asleep.
