It was over…
They did it…They finally won.
After hours of effort and perseverance. With the help of his old friends, the original team 7, and the Sage Of Six Paths. They were able to reseal Kaguya into the moon.
The conclusion was obvious. They had won the 4th Great Ninja War.
However, it was far too early for a celebration. Without Kaguya to stabilize the dimensions that she created. The dimension that they were currently in was beginning to collapse in on itself at an alarming pace.
"We can't stay here any longer, we have to leave now!" Kakashi voiced out to them.
Quickly, Sasuke used his Rinnegan to open a portal, a medium-sized tear into the fabric of reality, big enough to fit an adult, appeared in front of them, "I'm nearly out of chakra, it won't hold for long so hurry!"
Sakura went in first, then Kakashi followed by Sasuke. Before Naruto could enter the portal the dimension shook violently, countless rips into the fabric of reality appeared everywhere.
And Naruto was engulfed by one.
"NARUTOOO!" He heard Sakura scream out his name, the sound of her voice fades the farther he fell into the black abyss.
"WHOAAA! Hey! AH!" He exclaimed as his vision was suddenly bombarded by a kaleidoscope of bright colors and patterns. He hears voices but they're inaudible despite them being loud. His senses started to become overloaded, the massive boost in power that he received from the Sage not only greatly amplified all of his abilities but his senses as well which…didn't help one bit with the pounding migraine that was starting to form.
He descended faster and further and further. He tried to steady his body, then an explosion of white engulfed his vision.
"Hmm, this is concerning." Hagoromo, or to be more precise, the ghost of Hagoromo, the Sage Of Six Paths. He frowned as he sensed Naruto falling into the portal as Naruto's presence started to fade.
"I can no longer feel young Uzumaki's presence. This can't be good… "
York Maine, United States
Massive clouds that were deep grey in color enveloped the skies as it rained heavily down on York County obscuring the light of the sun which made the late afternoon darker than it usually is. A red SUV family car drove carefully down the drenched road. Inside the car were three passengers. The driver, Patrick Black, was a tall burly man with orange-colored hair, which was covered by a red baseball cap, and beard. He wore a navy blue short-sleeved jacket with a white shirt underneath, and denim pants.
Sitting in the backseat were his two daughters. Vivian Black, a sophomore college student studying at the University Of Maine. And his youngest child, the baby of the family. Gwen Black, a sophomore in High School. Despite the age gap between his two daughters, there was one similarity between the two that was easily recognizable. That being, the two girls inherited his wife's Bengali ethnicity.
The rain didn't seem to stop anytime soon. And only became heavier and more relentless as time passed. Strong winds sent small debris such as twigs, leaves, and scattered trash flying at their car.
"Weird. This storm seems to come out of nowhere. The forecast never said anything about this," Patrick furrowed his brows as a newspaper hit the window, which was quickly removed by the window wipers.
The booming sound of thunder made Gwen jump in her seat, nearly dropping her phone which invoked a small laugh from Vivian making Gwen pout at her.
"Don't worry, we're nearly home, so just hang on for a bit, girls."
A few more minutes pass. A large wooden sign that hung above the road came into view, indicating that they'd arrived home.
Camp Mapplewood
It was a popular summer camp among young adolescents and teenagers. A family business owned and run by Patrick and his wife Nandita, and some of their staff were family. Vivian, and his eldest, Walter would both work as camp counselors every summer.
They drove past the sign and toward their house. As they drove past the lake, something made Gwen's eyes widen in terror as she pushed Vivian aside, confusing her sister, to look out the window from Vivian's side.
"Dad! stop the car!"
"Gwen, what's going o-"
"Dad please STOP THE CAR!"
Confused, Patrick obliged. The car skidded to a halt. Gwen immediately jumped out of the car and sprinted towards the lake, making Vivian chase after her.
"Gwen, what are y-" Vivian's eyes widened in alarm when she saw what made her sister act hastily, Patrick too went after his daughter and became shocked when he saw the situation.
There was a body floating face up at the center of the lake.
Without wasting any time, Gwen took off the wrap skirt that covered her pants and dived into the water. She swam as fast as she could towards the person who she hoped was still alive, and was just unconscious.
She finally reached the body and was able to make out the appearance. He was male, he had drenched blonde hair and peach-colored skin. He was wearing an orange and black jacket and orange-colored pants. On his forehead was what appeared to be a metal forehead protector with a slash across a strange symbol on it. Quickly, She grabbed the back of the stranger's jacket and swam back to shore.
"Vivian! Dad! He has a pulse, he's still alive! Call an ambulance quick!" Gwen shouted as she pulled his body out of the water. Quickly, Vivian pulled out her phone and dialed 911, and then her brother Walter and Mother. Patrick went down to the lake to help his daughter with the unconscious young man.
"Gwen, stand back," He told her, which she reluctantly obliged, as he began to give the young man CPR.
'Please don't die, please don't die, please don't die.'
Gwen repeated the words inside her head as she watched her dad do chest compressions on the blonde stranger.
Naruto…
Naruto…
Huh? Who was that? Who was calling his name?
"Hey, Gaki. Wake up, you're gonna miss your party." An amused voice spoke.
Wait…that voice…
He opened his eyes. What met his eyes was a clear sunny blue sky, as well as someone familiar grinning down at him.
"P-Pervy Sage!?"
Naruto quickly sat up from his lying position to stare at his old sensei.
"Hey, been a while huh?" Jiraiya grinned at him. Naruto didn't hesitate to launch himself at Jiraiya, engulfing the older man in a tight hug as he sobbed.
"Whoa! Damn kid, you've gotten stronger!" Jiraiya laughed as he returned the embrace.
They stayed like that for a while, with Naruto crying non-stop, "Y'know…I'm proud of you kid…and so are they."
Naruto looked at Jiraiya in confusion at what he meant by 'they'. Until he took a glance behind his sensei. His eyes widened, as his parents, Minato and Kushina approached them with smiles on their faces.
"Mom…Dad…"
His mother came closer. She wiped the tears from his face as she started to tear up as well.
"We…Are so proud of you Naruto. All the good you did, all the people you've saved…" She said.
"You're going to be a great Hokage." His father added. They both embraced him as he cried.
He felt a pat on his shoulder and turned around. He was met with the smiling face of the Third Hokage, Sarutobi.
"Old man…"
"NARUTO!"
"BOSS!"
His eyes widened in astonishment as he sees all of his friends. Sakura, Konohamaru, Choji, Kiba, Shikamaru, Lee, Neji, and the entire village, hell even Kurama with people riding on his back. Running towards him with smiles on their faces.
"You did it! You finally did it!"
"Congrats ya, bastard!"
"All hail the Sixth Hokage! Naruto Uzumaki!"
More tears flowed from his eyes as everyone started chanting 'Naruto' and 'Sixth Hokage.' His parents and friends cheering and tossing him into the air. He laughed in joy as he finally realized the weight of his victory.
"Oi, dobe. Wake up…"
Huh?
Sasuke appeared out of nowhere and plunges a chidori straight through his chest. And the world went dark.
Slowly, he opened his eyes and was met with a bright light. He squinted his eyes in confusion and sat up. After his senses returned, Naruto scanned his surroundings in confusion, an IV drip was attached to his hand and he was wearing a white hospital gown.
In conclusion, he was in a hospital.
'What the hell happened? Did the others bring me back? No, the last thing I remember was...I got sucked into that portal…'
He stood up from the bed and paced around the room, dragging his IV pole with him. He wondered where his clothes went.
He checked his right hand. The Sun Seal that Hagoromo gave him was still there, not only that, he can still feel the Six Paths Power inside him. He checked his chakra levels
His chakra was normal and perfectly intact, making Naruto sigh in relief.
''Kurama, are you still there?''
"Yeah Kit, hear you loud and clear."
"Oh, thank goodness. So, ya know anything about what the hell just happened to us?"
"Um…Kit, this is just a theory, but…I don't think we're in the elemental nations anymore…"
"...Hold on, WHAT?! What do you mean!?"
Before he and Kurama could talk any further, the door to his room opened. Two people stepped inside, a woman wearing a white coat with a stethoscope hanging on her neck. Naruto concluded that the woman was the doctor who was taking care of him. And the other, a man wearing a strange dark blue uniform and vest, with a badge on the right side of his chest.
"Good evening kid, I don't mean to spook you but my name is Officer Kimmel. And if it's alright with you, I would like to ask some questions regarding your situation."
Now, this. This sent Naruto's mind into a loop. The man was speaking a completely different language, a language that Naruto has never heard of before. It was both astonishing and worrisome. Not only that but for some reason he could perfectly understand what the man saying.
Just what the hell happened to him?
His mind was flooded with new knowledge that he swore he never learned before.
"We need information Kit, play along for now."
"U-Um…sure, I'm alright with it." It felt weird. Speaking a language that you've never heard before but somehow gained knowledge of it. Another thing was that the man in the blue uniform, Kimmel, referred to himself as 'Officer' which was strange since he was sure that the Konoha Police Force was destroyed years ago during the Uchiha Massacre.
Not only that but. Officer Kimmel wasn't wearing any sort of band that indicated which village he was from.
Which meant two things.
One, Officer Kimmel wasn't a Ninja. Or two, he's wearing a disguise and is just really good at concealing his aura.
"Officer, if I may, can I stay in the room so that I can perform a checkup, and monitor his condition?" His doctor asked.
"Fine by me." Kimmel agreed.
He pulled out a small notebook from his belt pocket, "Okay, can I get your name?"
"Naruto. Naruto Uzumaki."
He nodded and wrote it down, "So you're Japanese?"
Japanese?
"What's Japanese?"
The cop stopped writing to look at Naruto in confusion, as well as his doctor who was checking his blood pressure.
Naruto continued, "On second thought. Hey Kimmel, what village are you from, and where are we? Cause I can tell that we're not in Konoha."
Officer Kimmel only looked more confused.
"Village? Konoha? What're you talking about kid? Is that a thing in Japan or something?"
There was that word again, 'Japan' just where the hell was he?! This was getting even more confusing every second.
"What country is this?" He asked, uneasiness gripping his voice.
"A…America? the United States? Kid, are you alright?" Kimmel asked in concern.
America? Where was that?
He had never heard of a country called America before, unless…
No, that can't be right, but there's no other explanation, that portal might've sent him to another…
"C-Can I see a map? A map of the world please?"
Officer Kimmel pulled out a strange rectangular object from his bag, which Naruto didn't know was a tablet. His confusion grew even more when he showed Naruto an image of the world map.
Naruto gripped the device, eyes wide with shock as he took in the information shown to him.
That confirms it…
He was in another fucking world…
Worry and concern gripped Patrick Black's features as he listened to the Doctor's words. A day has passed since Naruto was brought into the hospital, and Patrick came to check up on the young man.
"No injuries so far, we suspect that he might have some form of amnesia, but he still completely remembers his name and identity. But, he had no idea what country he was in."
"Wait, like he doesn't remember how he ended up in the lake?"
The doctor nodded, "He even asked what America and Japan are, which is baffling."
Now that was confusing. The kid didn't know what America was? That was baffling indeed, perhaps it might be a minor form of amnesia? It could be anything, but he wasn't a medical expert, his brother Manny is.
"What about his family? Were they informed about his situation?"
After he asked that question, Patrick had a bad feeling when the doctor's expression morphs into a downcast one.
"From what he told us…his family is deceased, all of them. The boy's an orphan."
Patrick frowned. In all of his years as a Camp Director, he had a handful of experiences with all kinds of youth.
But from what he knew. Orphans, never have it easy.
"What's going to happen to him now?"
"We don't know yet, social services are still trying to sort out his records."
He looked at the blonde teenager through the glass, who appeared to be distressed as he paced around the room.
"How old is he? And can I talk to him?"
"From what he told us, he's 17, and I'll have to talk to him first about you."
She entered Naruto's room, Patrick couldn't hear their conversation from behind the glass. When she came back, she gave a small smile and told him that it was okay to visit.
He gently opened the door and entered the room. He met the blue eyes of the young man who he helped save when he nearly drowned in the lake.
He smiled gently at him, "Hey there son, how are you feeling?"
Naruto looked at the tall burly man who entered his room. From what the doctor told him, the man's daughter found him floating in a lake and pulled him to safety. Hey grinned as he cheerfully greeted the man.
"Hey! They told me that your daughter was the one who pulled me out of that lake, and then you brought me here, thanks a lot by the way! And tell your daughter that I said thanks too!" Naruto gave him a wide grin.
Patrick smiled, "I'll be sure to let Gwen know, she wanted to come too to see if you're alright, but she has school today," He took a seat next to the bed, "I don't think I've introduced myself. I'm Patrick, Patrick Black. Most kids call me Mr. Black, but if you want, you can call me Patrick."
Gwen, Patrick. The names were quite different from what he was used to. But get used to it over time, just until he finds a way back home.
"I'm Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki, believe it!" He grinned as he pointed a thumb at himself.
Patrick chuckled, "You're one interesting kid aren't you?"
"You bet I am!"
The two talked for minutes on end, usually exchanging stories and Patrick asking Naruto about himself and where he came from.
Before Naruto could answer that last question, Kurama spoke to him through their mental link with a "Don't." Which immediately shut him up and opted to lie instead. Telling Patrick that he used to be from Japan, which was what Officer Kimmel assumed.
Before they could talk any further, his nurse entered the room to tell Patrick that visiting hours were over.
"It was nice talking to you Naruto, is it okay if I bring Gwen over tomorrow? She's quite worried about you."
"Oh, it's alright! I'd love to meet the girl who saved me after all!"
Once they exchanged goodbyes, Patrick exited the room and headed for the exit.
The next day. Patrick drove back to the hospital to visit Naruto, but this time he wasn't alone. In the passenger's seat was his daughter Gwen, the one who spotted Naruto in the lake and reacted quickly to save the young man's life. Patrick could never be prouder of his daughter for the act of bravery she performed 2 days ago.
When they arrived, he parked their car in the parking lot and entered the large white building. Gwen was carrying flowers of various colors, as well as a 'get-well-soon' card.
They approached the reception desk, "Hello, we'd like to visit Naruto Uzumaki in room 283?"
"Oh, I'm afraid there's a problem sir."
"Huh? What do you mean?" Patrick and Gwen gained confused expressions.
Two police officers passed by them. Patrick's expression shifted from confused to worried.
"You see. The patient you're trying to visit disappeared last night, I'm afraid.
"wait…WHAT!?"
