"Oh bother.", Pooh Bear sighed as he looked up at the clouds, watching as the rain poured down upon the hundred acre woods.
It had been so long since they'd last seen Christopher Robin, when he'd left for Skull.
Boing boing boing.
"Hi ya buddy bear!", Tigger shouted as he bounced into view, colliding with Pooh and sending them both tumbling into Pooh's house.
"Oh bother.", the bear grumbled as he lay on his back. "Hello Tigger."
At that moment a lightning bolt lit up the sky, startling the both of them.
"Good thing tiggers aren't afraid of thunder'n'lighting'n'such.", Tigger chuckled nervously as he tried to smooth out his puffed up tail. "Well, TTFN, ta ta for now!"
Boing boing boing.
I think I'll drop in on Longears, Tigger thought as he bounced along the path towards Rabbit's house, his mind going back to days past.
The nine of them had continued their lives much as they always had after Christopher Robin had left them for the last time, though they missed their friend on occasion.
The Hundred Acre Wood had changed in Christopher Robin's absence, becoming somewhat darker and drearier as the years went on.
And a bit stormier, Tigger added mentally as he sighted Rabbit furrowing his garden. Hey, its Longears!
BOING!
CRASH!
"TIGGER!", Rabbit screamed as the spring-tailed feline bounced on him, sending him face first into a watermelon. "MY GARDEN!"
"Hi ya bunny boy!", Tigger greeted from atop the prone lagomorph. "Say…"
KABOOM!
At that moment, a lightning bolt struck Rabbit's garden, causing the ground to explode violently.
"AAAAAHHHH!", the two screamed as they were blasted through the air, coming to a sudden stop as they slashed into a deep, muddy puddle.
"ACK!", Rabbit retched as he spat silty water from his mouth. "MY GARDEN!"
The lightning strike had blasted a huge, smoking crater where Rabbit's garden was seconds earlier.
"Say, that looks like when we dynamited your fortress Rabbit!", Tigger laughed, remember the event from long ago.
Fuming, Rabbit raised his hoe, preparing wallop Tigger across the head.
KABOOM!
The two of them dropped to the ground as another lightning bolt struck Rabbit's house, blowing the warren to smithereens.
Tigger and Rabbit stood there, frozen in terror as seven more flashes of lightening light up the sky, followed by seven thunderous booms.
"Gasp!", Tigger exclaimed. "What was that?!"
"I don't know, Tigger.", Rabbit replied, looking down at the rising water level. "But we'd better get the others and find some high ground."
