Jack and Cas have worked to reshape Heaven but they're running into some problems. One main problem, Dean Winchester. Angry and isolated with no monsters to fight Dean is slipping. The newly all-powerful Jack has decided that's the only way to keep Dean from dragging Heaven down with him and so Cas ends up spending time with the last man he wants to see.

Some experiences leave an indelible mark on the soul and the body. The night is full of crawling creatures that rivet in those scars. A standard case of missing children faces the boys with impossible choices that open new and old wounds and test their bond.

What Dean said to Sam during Charlie's hunter funeral pissed me off, I get he was upset but still words hurt. After talking to pala67, she and I concluded we don't see how Sam feels after this so I tried to write this in Sam's POV then switched to general POV. Rated T for the usual swearing
