For some reason, one Reagan in particular always dodges getting hit by a bullet. Let's see how this story goes. This is my first fic for Blue Bloods!
It had been a long three days for the Reagan family. Especially Danny. He was working on a case involving an 8 year old boy being killed in a drive by. When it comes to cases like these where children are hurt in any way, Danny takes it personally.
He never took his work home with him. But this is the one and only time he did. He worked nonstop and lacked sleep so he could try to get justice for this kid. Danny went through files of the suspects to see if he by any chance missed anything. Linda came in and sat next to him at the kitchen table.
"You know it's a quarter till 2am right?" She asked.
He nodded. "I know. I'm not tired."
"Danny, remember when you said you don't like bringing your work home with you?"
"Yes but this case..."
"I know what happened. It's time for bed."
Danny sighed before finally nodding and shut the file. He stood up and opened his desk drawer to put it in there when he spotted something on his computer.
He shut the drawer and examined some pictures that had been left.
"Hey babe? Have you used this computer at all?"
"No. Why?"
He looked closer at the pictures. One of them was of his house. Then, he saw picture after picture that popped up in his email. It was pictures of himself whether it was at crime scenes, his precinct or his home.
"What the--" He whispered to himself. He wasn't sure whether to wait to dial his partner or do it right now.
He heard something pierce through the window and whatever it was hit his upper back and he fell over.
Linda gasped and ran over to him. That's when she noticed he had been shot.

Since it was 2am, Frank Reagan was asleep in his bed when his phone rang. It took him a moment to finally wake up and another moment to reach for his phone.
"Commissioner Reagan."
He recognized the voice as Linda's.
"Linda slow down. I'm still half asleep. What's going on?" He sighed. "What hospital? Okay. I'm on my way."
