"Where's...other peoples?"

A moment of fleeting nausea. 5 seconds of searing headache.

When she realized what had happened, everyone else has suddenly disappeared. Her classmates, passersby, and even the animal have ceased to exist. It's like...only she existed here in Blackwell, Arcadia...Bay? One second she was at empty Blackwell, Arcadia Bay, and the next time she blinked her eyes, she was now at this new place. Wherever this place is.

What? This place isn't Arcadia Bay. Based on the street sign and nearby shop, this is...Japan. She wouldn't mistake Japanese katakana characters for Chinese characters, although they're very similar, thanks to Warren that keeps pestering her to watch anime with him. Why did she newly found weebyness suddenly became a useful thing to have now?

Though, that begs the question. Why does everyone suddenly disappear? And why was she suddenly in Japan?

As she muses about her current circumstances, her phone rings. She checked her phone. Oh? A message from an unknown number. She debated whether to ignore the message or open the message.

In the end, she chose to open the message. As the message opened, the same nauseating feeling as before passed over her again. Her eyes closed as she tried to reel in that feeling. The pain has dulled, somewhat.

When the pain is truly gone, she tried to open her eyes, and she immediately sees a young man, probably of Japanese descent, standing slouchily in front of her. He appeared to be in the same state as her, disoriented, his right hand holding a red phone. He has yet to notice her presence. He keeps looking around but his sight is strangely focused on the top of the building in front of both of them. The city still had no occupants aside from them. And when she look more carefully, there's seem to be a strange haze permeating as far as her eyes could see.

She tried to say something. Intelligible even to her own ear. But that does the trick. He stopped looking around and focused his attention on the only other person in this empty world. His panicking eyes meet her confused eyes. He slowly walked towards her. Although he is a stranger, she feels she could trust him. So she didn't move as he now standing directly in front of her.

He raised his free left hand towards her face. Cold. His hand is very cold. It is like he has been holding an ice pack for hours straight. He caressed her cheek gently, his clear disbelief showed in his expression.

Before he or she can say anything, the same nauseating feeling washed over her again. It seems he also feels the same as her, with his case seeming to be more severe than her own, with him almost tripping over. His hand left her cheek, and she closed her eyes in pain.

When the pain somewhat receded, she slowly opened her eyes, and she was now back in Arcadia Bay. Her classmates walked past her, some looking at her. The previously vanished passerby and animals come back to the realm of existence.

What just happened?

(Little did she know, her life will just get weirder in the future.)
