A long time ago, the T'Vulk'ain was a hostile planet. The people were hostile, and warlords battled each other for centuries, stifling progress. When the inhabitants began to use nuclear weapons, they nearly destroyed the planet.
Along came a leader named Surak, who proposed the complete suppression of emotion through logic. The people of Vulcan rejected this notion. Those who followed Surak left the planet. Those who remained became V'Tosh Ka-tur.
