Rebirth into the world of Genshin Impact
Prologue
(BRAAAAANNNGGGGG)
"Huh?"
I was snapped out of my stupor as I heard a very loud noises. I soon realized that I was standing sitting on a bench installed on the sidewalk. I turned towards the source of that loud noises which was around few meters from where I was sitting and found out a traffic accident just happened.
It was horrible.
A large Tanker crashed onto the back of a Container Truck.
But when I looked at the crash site more closely, I can seems to notice a bike was squeezed in between of the two large vehicles. I also noticed one of their hand peeking out from the gap.
I couldn't help but grimaced after realizing what happened. At least one motorcycle rider died on the spot. Although I still couldn't see the victim clearly from here.
"Oooooohhhh, poor guy."
I saw crowd of people began to approach the crash site to help, they immediately freaked out when they seems to notice the motorcycle rider got squeezed in between two trucks.
Some tried to help getting them out of the gap while the others just recording the accident with their phones or video cameras.
I just shook my head at the latter. People these days recording every single things and posted it on internet. Sure, they were some who genuinely tried to share some news, but those kind of people are quite rare compared to the one who only records things for views.
Especially when recording a traffic accident like this, more than offer they showed the state of the victims without care for the victim's family feeling about their family member corpse being displayed for the world to see.
However, I would be lying if I wasn't curious myself. The only times I get to see corpse were either in movie or in someone's else funeral. I have never seen a corpse of someone who had just died.
It was so fucked up, but I couldn't help but wanted to see once in my life.
So I stood up from my seat and walked towards the crash site which has been crowded by even more people than before. I seek out for a spot where I can at least catch a glimpse of the victim's body.
I actually found one with the just perfect angle where I can see the victim clearly.
And when I finally laid my eyes on the victim….
"What the-"
My eyes went as wide as possible.
The victim was an average height, twenty five years old woman with short black hair and black eyes. Her lower body has been utterly destroyed by the front bumper of the Tanker squeezed it with rear bumper of the Container Truck. Her eyes were wide open in shock.
But that wasn't the thing that freaks me out.
No.
It was the fact that the victim….was none other than me.
I unconsciously took a several steps back while my sight still glued on the dead body of mine in front of me. I then noticed my hands and my entire body has became semitransparent.
"I..I…I am dead."
"Indeed, you are."
I heard an echoed voiced from behind me and immediately turned my semitransparent body around.
An…entity, for the lacks of better words, descent towards me. I couldn't tell whether the "entity" was male or female, its voice also didn't give me much clue either. But the "entity" wore a black cloak that covered its body from head to toe.
I stared at the "entity" for a few more seconds me before letting out a sigh of defeat.
"I…see." I said with a defeated tone in my voice. "Twenty five years huh? Time really flies by when you weren't paying attention to it." I spoke to no one in particular.
I saw the "entity" titled its head slightly and I couldn't help but feel like it just raised its eyebrow at me, if it has any under that cloak.
"You took this relatively well for someone who just witnessed herself dying." The entity remarked in neutral tone that was hard to tell whether it was amusement or disappointment.
"Well, I would be lying if I say I'm not upset dying out of nowhere..." I spoke as I scratched the back of my head. "…But it's not like throwing a tantrum now will change anything, that sounds so exhausting for me."
I then looked at the entity with a small sad smile.
"I'm just a simple minded woman who dislike to complicate anything more than necessary."
The entity merely gave me a silent nod in response. I felt like it's time to continue the conversation.
"So…I take it I'm going to hell…am I?" I asked the entity, hesitation was clearly heard in my tone.
"…And what makes you say that?" The entity answered my question with another question on its own.
"I mean, I can be pretty selfish and a total bitch sometimes. And I'm not exactly what you can call a religious person either. I rarely did pray and only did it whenever I feel like doing it." I explained to the entity who just stared at me silently.
"It is none of my concern regarding what kind of a person you are. Furthermore, I do not hail from any religions you all humans believes." The entity replied still in neutral tone.
"Huh, neat."
That was interesting. I honestly wanted to know more, but I don't think it's wise to delay this entity any further.
"I take it you're going to take my soul away from this world." It was more of a statement than a question.
And the entity merely materializing a huge scythe, making it more similar to those Grim Reapers depicted in many medias.
I at first, was about to appeal to this entity to allow me seeing my family for one last time, but I was afraid that seeing my family mourning my death will only make me hesitate to leave this world.
So I decided to just let it go.
"Will it hurt?" I asked my Grim Reaper after few seconds of silence.
"It won't." The entity simply answered as it raised the scythe with it's invisible hands.
And with the swing of a scythe aiming towards my neck, my vision went black.
(Scene Change)
"Are you sure you will be alright, dear?"
"Come on Janet, our Amy is a big girl already and can take care of herself."
"But this mission is on Natlan, we probably will be gone for a couple of week at the quickest. I'm worried leaving her alone for that long, she is just ten."
"Mom, it's alright. Like dad said, I can take care of myself."
"But…"
"Hear that? Compares to girls of her age, our girl has become a mature and independent woman before we know it. There is nothing to worried about."
"Haaah…Fine. But if you need anything, just ask Cyrus for helps alright? That way, I can be more at ease."
After back and forth argument, my parents finally left to their destination. I waved at the departing carriage before entering back into the city again and headed towards my own destination.
It has been ten years since I was reborn into this world as Amy. The daughter of Adventurer couple from Mondstadt, Janet and Joshua.
Ten years since that day when I died on a traffic accident and the Grim Reaper decapitated me to claim my soul.
I don't how and why, but as cliché as this sounds, I got reincarnated into another world.
And not just any world, but the World of Teyvat, where Genshin Impact, an open world rpg game from China, took place.
And this girl, Amy, is actually one of the playable character goes by the name Fischl.
I was reborn as a character from a game in a game world.
I have watch/read enough Manga, Anime, Manhwa, even fanfiction to know where this is going.
Troubles, lots of them, will surely finds their way to make my new life as difficult as possible.
If I died when I was still teenagers, I would jumping around in excitement for this. After all, getting reincarnated into a fictional world and possibly getting some cool powers is like a dream comes true.
But becoming an adult made me realized that getting reincarnated into some fictional worlds sounds like too much of a trouble for a person like me, especially ones with super powers in it. The only fictional worlds I would love to be reincarnated into as an adult was a normal fictional world with the slice of life genre.
It is like we loves Spongebob as a child and relates to Squidward as an adult.
But then again, Genshin Impact wasn't the worst fictional world you could get reincarnated into. It could be worse honestly, I could have be reborn in the world of Attack on Titan and I probably would become a snack for some random pure Titan.
Fischl also wasn't the worst person to be reincarnated as. She wasn't my most favorite Genshin character to be honest, but she is still pretty likable and the fact she doesn't get involved with the main plot at all meaning less crazy shenanigans for me.
I want to keep my life as simple as possible, even in this world that was filled with monsters roaming around freely.
Finally arrived at my destination, the Wagner Blacksmith workshop which was located nearby the front gate of the Mondstadt.
"Good Morning, Wagner." I greeted him who seems to be busy as always as I walked towards the front table.
"Morning kid, the equipment that you ordered are in the back. You can get it yourself there." The Blacksmith motion his head to his back while still hammering down some the how iron.
I just nodded before reaching into my clothes, pulling out a small sack filled with 10,000 Mora and placed it onto the table he was working on. He paused for a second and took the sack of money before resuming his work as I walked passed the front table to get my equipment I have ordered.
A double edges sword, small and light enough for someone of my stature to carry.
And a body armor of my size made out of several layered leathers.
I put on the body armor and then picked up the sword and secured with on my right hip.
[Current Quest: Tutorial]
[Objective: Getting yourself armed. Status: Complete]
[Rewards: 10 Primogems, 50,000 Mora, 100 Exp]
[Next Objective: Defeats 5 opponents. Status: In progress]
A blue holographic pop-up window, which only I can see, appeared before me with the message of some quest completion.
Last week, this thing suddenly appeared one day. And again, I have watched/read enough Manga, Anime, Manhwa to know what this is.
It's one of those "system" thing that made someone's life as if they were in a video games. I mean, technically I AM in a video game, but that's not the point. I have conflicted feeling about having one of this thing.
Don't get me wrong, this "system" thing will definitely be useful for me living in this world filled with monsters and others dangerous foes, even more than getting a Vision which only will allows me to control just one element. But frankly, I was never been a fan of any series that featured this "system" thing since most of the time, they tends to make some series become too obnoxious to enjoy unless you're shutting down your brain.
It was just a matter of principle really.
There were the options he had to choose from: Status, abilities, skills, party, inventory, quest log, and one other menu that seemingly was still locked.
Status menu is basically just a glorified identification card. It is actually quite different than the one I expected as it didn't had the stats such as: Strength, speed, dexterity, endurance, etc. No, the Status menu only consists of: My portrait image, Name, Rank with a bar line to see my current progress, title, occupation, alignments, traits, and fortune, in this case, the Primogems and how much Mora I actually have.
Abilities menu is literally just the list of abilities I have. Currently, I only have one starter ability I got when I first awaken this "system" thing.
Hammer Space: the limitless dimensional storage you always see in fictions. Pretty basic if you ask me, borderline cliché, but useful nonetheless. Meaning that I don't have to carry around a huge load of luggage ever.
Skills menu is a bit similar to the abilities menu, it is just list of things. But instead of a list of some sort of "power", "Skills" in this instance, refers more to expertise I possessed.
Currently, I have Beginner Level Swordsmanship due to me just started training after I awakened this "system", and Intermediate Level Cooking in which probably came from my past life since that was the only good things about me that I can say I'm proud of even now.
Party as the name suggest, is list of "companion" that I have. Currently, I have none.
Inventory is inventory, no further explanation needed.
The same goes for Quest Log.
And I don't have any slightest idea about the final menu I haven't unlock yet.
As I left the workshop and headed towards the front gate, I opened up the status menu to see my progress in this past week.
Name: Amy
Rank: 0 (500 exp more to reach the next level)
Title: None
Occupation: None
Alignments: Chaotic Neutral
Traits: Foreigner, Human.
Fortune: 50 Primogems, 50,000 Mora.
I wasn't surprise by the lacks of progress. The current active quest is the "Tutorial Quest" and it took me all week long to save up some money from my allowance to afford these equipment's. I totally could have ask my parents, it's not like we were struggling for money, but I just wish to avoid questions they might have for as long as possible.
I dismissed the pop-up window and took a deep breath before left the front gate and headed towards the Whispering Woods to find some mobs to defeat.
Despite my outer calm appearance, I was actually quite nervous. Being a someone who came from the world where monsters were only exist in fictions, I have never been in a battle before. The training I did in this past week were mostly consisting of dodging and less about attacking. I also wasn't sure about the sword I just bought will also going to keep me alive.
I knew Fischl was a bow user character, but I had a hunch bow wasn't fit for me.
In game, I believe all the bow user characters never brought arrows with them, they used their Visions to materialized the arrows, even though it never been confirmed to be that was as far as I know. Since I didn't have a Vision, I don't think using bow like Fischl would be optimal for me since I have to carry around limited amount of arrows with me.
I finally arrived at the Whispering Woods. This worlds seems to be a lot bigger than the one from the game. It took the player less than a minute to walk from Mondstadt bridge to Whispering Woods. But I just took a good ten minutes walk to get here.
I entered the forest, which also seems to be a lot bigger than the one in the game. I was vigilant for any monsters that I deemed to be too much for me as if now, such as Mitachurl, Eye of the Storm, or even Abyss Mage.
During my search of the mobs, I encounter several treasure chest, which sadly had been looted by someone else. It's actually make sense this way, no way people will ignore free stuffs laying around in the open.
Game logic doesn't apply here. I don't know whether if it's a blessing in disguise or not since some game logics might prove itself useful for me here.
I do however found an unopened common chest hidden amongst the bushes. I opened up the chest and found an claymore, probably one of the one star weapon in the game and some amount of Mora in it.
I immediately emptied the chest and the items I just loot went straight to my inventory. A quick notification pop-up, indicating that my inventory and my fortune has been updated as well as some exp were obtained.
I probably wouldn't use the old claymore, but I can probably make some extra Mora by selling it to Wagner or some other adventurers.
I then continued my searching for the mobs and found another common chest nearby a small pond. However, there was a circle of some sort of ancient text surrounding the chest.
I pulled my sword from its sheath as I walked towards the sealed chest. I was aware that this is a trap, but this kind of trap often spawns the mobs I prefers to fight the most as the was I am right now.
(Plop) (plop) (plop)
Surely enough, plopping noises were heard from my back. I immediately slash my sword at that direction and hit a couple of small Hydro Slimes. I clicked my tongue in annoyance as I noticed there were only three of them, and my current objective is to beat 5 opponents. Meaning that I had to look out for two more mobs.
"How annoying." I muttered to myself as I assumed a stance.
One of the Hydro Slime bounced forwards and was about to ram itself onto me. I carefully took a step back to avoid the slime and deliver a slash towards it, sending it flying towards its comrades.
I raised an eyebrow at the slimes.
Despite their name being Slime, they oddly seems to be solid enough the be stand on by grown adult without deforming their shape too much. If Hydro Slime were this solid, then other slimes such as Cyro and Geo Slime are probably even sturdier than this one.
I also couldn't tell if my attacks have any effect on them. They didn't possess health bar floating above them. The slimes began to attack me all at once, this time the intensity of their attacks has increased. I dodged theirs attack and blocked some, but some of them were able to land some hit on me.
Surprisingly, I could barely feel a thing from their attacks. Either from the fact they were Hydro type slime or the fact that they were small in size. Either way, my child body could only feel slight sore from their attacks.
If slashes weren't very effective against these slimes, perhaps a different approach is needed.
When one of the slime launched itself towards me again, that was my cue I was waiting for.
I jabbed my sword forwards, onto the incoming slime and stabbed through it. The slime immediately exploded, splashing several liters of waters onto me and drenched me completely.
The water seems to be harmless at first glance, no strange or toxic substance whatsoever. In fact, this is probably the purest form of water possible.
I put away my thought regarding the water and focused my attention back to the remaining slimes which seems to be startled by one of its kind just perished.
They began their attempt to flee but I anticipated it by grabbing one of the slime, slammed it onto the ground before stabbing my sword through it and killing it as it died in an explosive of water. I chased after the last one while ignoring the fact that my clothes was completely wet now, grabbing it with my right hand and then stabbed it with my sword.
I wiped out some sweats mixed water from my forehead as I rested for a little bit.
"Not bad for my fight battle. Gotta improve my footwork more though, I let myself getting hit too much." I muttered to no one in particular as I checked myself for any possible injuries.
No injury was founded, only my body felt a bit sore and heavy from the fact I was wet from head to toe from the slime water explosion.
I looked around for a bit to make sure no one is looking before proceed to stripped my armor and clothes off, leaving me completely naked in the wilderness.
I then opened up my inventory and chose the spare clothes I had prepared beforehand. A simple shirt and a pair of shorts appeared out of thin air and I proceed to put it on myself.
This is one of the time where I genuinely wish for game logic to be applied here.
Genshin Impact is an open world Role-Play game where you explored throughout various areas with its own unique biomes and climates. It would be a lot more convenient if my attires can remains spotless when I exploring those areas.
Sadly, this is real world, even though such world is based on a game.
I then put my armor back after dried it out for a bit before stuffed my wet clothes into my inventory. I nodded to myself before walking towards the common chest that has been unsealed when I slain the last slime.
I opened up the chest and found several of those pink crystal that were used to enhance weapons in the game. As well as one of the one star polearm and another sum of Mora. Another quick notification popped up from a brief moment to notify me the inventory update and the exp progress.
I then began to explore the woods again to find another easy mobs that I can kill. I only have defeated 3 enemies so far, I need two more to complete the objective and heading back home before dark preferably.
I found none in the forest after several hours of searching. Actually, it's more like I only found the mobs that I deemed to be dangerous to fight at my current level, so I purposely avoided them.
I then decided it's time to head back home before the sunset and continued my hunting tomorrow. The tutorial quest didn't have a time limit anyway, so I don't need to rush completing it.
I decided to head back to Mondstadt thought the cider lake shore so that I can spotted for enemies easier. As I walked through this route, I spotted a couple of Anemo Slime nearby the shore, just the right amount to complete my objective.
I immediately rushed towards them, catching by surprise when I stabbed one of the slime with my sword. The slime I stabbed popped off like a balloon, releasing a suddenly pressurized wind that disrupted balance for a bit.
I saw the other Anemo Slime inflated for a little bit before shooting an air bulled at me. I rolled to the side to dodge it before I dashed forwards and stabbed the slime and killed it.
[Current Quest: Tutorial]
[Objective: Defeats 5 enemies. Status: Complete]
[Rewards: 25 Primogems, 75,000 Mora, 200 Exp]
"Finally, I can go home now." I sighed in relief as I thought it was all over.
[New Objective: Defeats 3 Hilichurls. Status: In Progress]
"Huh?!"
"YAK!"
"YAK!"
"YAK!"
I heard some familiar noises and turned towards the direction where the noises came from.
A group Hilichurls, the most common mobs in Genshin Impact, running towards me with obvious hostile intention. There was a normal unarmed Hilichurl, a Hilichurl shooter, and a Hilichurl berserker which right now, was running towards me while wildly swinging its fiery club.
I immediately run as fast as my child legs could carry me.
"Shit! Shit! Shit!" I audibly cursed as I ran from the berserker Hilichurl, which seems shorting the distance between us.
I feel like my child level stamina started to run out as I didn't have a choice but to confront the incoming Hilichurl. I pulled out my sword and ready to face the enemies.
The berserker Hilichurls swung its fiery club one last time, but that was when its attack at its strongest. I then swings my sword at the incoming attack with both of my hands as hard as my child strength could muster.
(Clang)
"URGH!"
As expected that last swing from the hilichurl was so powerful as I was sent flying for good few meters and landed on the ground a bit hard. My sword was sent off from my grasp because of that last swing.
I let out a pained grunt as my back hit the ground as adrenaline rushed through my body. The berserker hilichurl then walked towards me in slow manner this time.
I immediately went through my inventory to pick one of the weapon I looted from earlier. Since game logic didn't apply here, time didn't stop when I went through my Inventory. I didn't have time to chose as the berserker hilichurl was getting closer and I quickly picked for the polearm.
As the hilichurl was just a meter away from me, a polearm suddenly appeared in my grasp and I immediately drove the polearm towards the hilichurl neck and pierced through it, killing it as it disappeared as if it got burned away into ashes.
I saw the other two Hilichurls approaching as I tried to stand back up to my feet. My entire body felt hurts so much from the hit from the berserker hilichurl earlier, but sheer adrenaline allowed me to continue fighting for my life.
I saw the unarmed hilichurl picked up a rocked from the ground and threw it at me. I barely managed to dodge the rock as I rushed forwards with a battle cry and impaled the unarmed hilichurl on the spot where its heart was located. Same as the previous hilichurl, this one also disappeared like ashes blown away by the wind.
I then noticed the incoming arrowhead from my left and barely managed to sway my body away for a bit. The arrow grazed my cheek as I felt a bit blood running down my face.
I quickly towards the last hilichurl as it reloaded its crossbow with another arrow. The hilichurl aimed the crossbow at me after it finished reading it, I tried to dodge to the side before it could shoot, but even after this, the arrow flew so fast that it pierced my right shoulder.
I winced in pain as the arrow pierced through the leather armor I was wearing. Although the armor failed to completely protect me from harm, it still managed to lessen the damage. The arrow didn't pierced my shoulder too deep to incapacitate me and the adrenaline currently running through my body forced me to continue my assault.
With a loud battle cry, I pierced the last hilichurl though its body as it gurgled in pain before it died.
[Quest: Tutorial Complete]
[Rewards: 70 Primogems, 125,000 Mora, 200 Exp]
[Rank up: Level 1]
[Rewards: 100 Primogems, 200,000 Mora, New abilities: Enhanced Physical Capabilities]
I tried to catch up my breath as series of notifications popped up in front of my face. I ignored them at the moment as I focused myself to recover first as I collapse on the ground.
I almost died.
I was lucky I didn't encounter any strong monsters today, but even weak monsters like hilichurl has been proven difficult for me at my current level. I knew it, since the first time I found out I got reincarnated into this world based on Genshin Impact, I knew risking my life will be a norm for me from now on.
I hates it, it's a lot of hassle for a middle aged woman who prefers to put bare minimum efforts like me, but I knew I had to deal with it. This is my life now and I have to get used to it.
I barely managed to get myself back to my feet as I retrieved my weapons. I need to get out of here first before another monsters come and ambushed me again.
Luckily I didn't encounter any on my way back to Mondstadt. I didn't immediately head into the city though, instead I headed towards a certain spot near the intersection where you can find a certain NPC usually hanging out there.
I saw an average looking woman, befitting of an NPC, a bit older than me. The woman has a black hair that was tied into short twintails and she wore an adventurer Guild attire.
This woman is Lynn, a member of Adventurers Guild and held the role of the Survival Experts.
Lynn saw me and immediately horrified at my current condition, her eyes specifically glued onto the arrow that was embedded into my right shoulder.
"Oh my Archon, are you alright? What happened?" Lynn asked as she rushed towards me.
"Just got ambushed by Hilichurls when exploring Whispering Woods. Do you mind calling a doctor for me?" I replied with a rasped voice and I limped towards her a bit.
"Stay here! Don't move around too much! And don't pull out that arrow from your shoulder! I will call a doctor as fast as I could." Lynn immediately headed towards the city as I sat down, leaning onto a wooden barrel.
Finally alone, I opened up the system again to see if there is anything new.
Surely, the menu that was previously locked has been unlocked. And the menu was none other than….
"Gacha?! Of fucking course." I muttered as I opened up the menu to see what it was about.
A similar display from the game appeared before me. The banner says it was a tutorial banner and apparently I got a free 10 rolls with a guaranteed 5 stars or more. This almost made my near death experience worth the effort.
I checked on the rate-up details to see what would I get if I rolled on this banner. There was the list of stuffs, ranging from items, weapons, abilities, skills, and even companion which I assumed to be some characters that I can summon. The rarity also ranging from 1 to 5 stars.
I was deep on my thought about this. As if right now, some high rarity weapons, abilities and skills were likely to be more useful to me. I don't know what "items" I would get or the character who come if I got companion.
"If I get a companion, say Amber, will there be two Ambers in this world? I can already see the incoming headaches if that's the case." I wondered out loud as I read the list thoroughly.
I shook away the thought as I figured out it will get me nowhere. I then tap the 10 rolls button and the summoning sequence similar from the game was displayed on the screen. The only difference is that instead of just blue, purple and gold comets, there were also the black and silver comets as well.
I got 3 black comets, 2 silver comets, 2 blue comets, 2 purple comets and 1 gold comets.
The first result from gacha appeared, it seems it's being sorted out by rarity. The first item was a 1 star and it was…
"The hell?!"
[1 star: Spam]
The item was….a can of Spam. The one that you can find in any convenience store in your household.
My eyes twitched in annoyance as I tap the next button.
[1 star: Sriracha Sauce] [1 star: Coca Cola]
Next the two 1 stars items were…a bottle of hot sauce and a bottle of Coca Cola.
"I swear if the others rarity items are just commons objects…" I complained as I tap the button two time in rapid succession.
[2 stars: Folding Knife] [2 stars: Match Box]
An unknown, cheap looking brand of folding knife and a match box appeared as the 2 stars times and my annoyance grew even stronger. I tap the next button again a bit harder than necessary this time.
[3 stars: Bicycle] [3 Stars: Presence Detection]
My mood has now gotten better as I got to the 3 stars items. One was a bicycle from some brand I don't recognized, not too bad to be honest as it could have be some other items that will most likely useless. The other was a new ability that will definitely be useful for me.
I tap on the "Presence Detection" to see the details of the item. Apparently, this ability will allows me to sense any living being from within 100 meters radius. Pretty basic, nothing too complex, but will surely come in handy.
In my opinion, this ability being a 3 stars was a steal as this ability should be worthy of being 4 stars at least.
Then I noticed the footnote on the description.
[Note: The ability has the total usage time of 1 hour. The timer will start to decrease once the ability is activated. Can be deactivate at will and the remaining duration will freeze before resuming once the ability is being activated again]
"Hmmm, I think I see why this is a 3 stars rarity then." I mumbled as I was in deep thought about this.
This will requires a lot of planning on how to effectively utilize this ability with the time limit it has. I better not to overuse this ability and only used it when it required.
I decided to put the planning for some other time as I then proceed to the 4 stars items.
[4 stars: Mass-changing Flashlight] [4 stars: Electro Gnosis]
My eyes went as wide as UFO and a shit-eating grin was formed on my face when I saw the 4 stars items I just got.
The first one was that Flashlight gadget straight out of Doraemon that can alter the size of objects, whether it be living or non living things. However, it seems only possess an hour worth of battery, so I am not too overwhelmed with joy by it.
The second item though was the reason why I am in so much joy right now.
Gnosis was basically the upgraded version of a Vision, as it drew its power directly from Celestia. It basically what made people like Venti, Zhongli and Raiden Shogun officially Archons. And the best part of it was what was written on the footnote.
[Note: Duration permanent. Can be equipped and unequipped at will]
Yes. Permanent. Meaning that I don't have to worry about time limit and it seems it's being counted as "weapons". Although this could put a target behind my back since the Fatui is aiming to collect all the Gnosis, but that a problem for future me.
And I still got the 5 stars item left. If 4 stars items were this good, I can imagine what kind of ability or weapon with 5 stars rarity are.
[5 stars: Gaming set]
"Eh?!"
I blinked a few times when a gaming set consisted of a Laptop, Headphone, and an Xbox Controller appeared as the items with the highest rarity in this first gacha roll.
A long pause for a few second before…
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!"
Before I screamed at the screen in pure disbelief.
"HOW THE HELL CAN A LAPTOP AND COUPLE OF ELECTRONICS BE WORTH MORE THAN THE VERY THING THAT BASICALLY MAKES YOU A GOD IN THIS WORLD?!"
I vent out my frustrations to the point I just made my wound got even worse. But cursed myself at my stupidity as I should have probably knew I wouldn't get the respond I was looking for.
So I decided to check on the item description to see what makes this worth than a Gnosis.
The laptop admittedly was a very high-spec one. Powered with something called "super integrated circuit" and also "super graphics card" and has a very wide screen. It also has literally Infinite size storage and Infinite size RAM, which I don't know if that's even possible. It also will never run out battery and also is connected to the Internet from another world.
"…"
Alright, I take it back. This definitely worth more than Gnosis, especially if it can connect to Internet which obvious doesn't exist in this world. I believe the closest things to internet in this world was the Akasha Terminal. But even so, it was only limited to Sumeru region if I recall.
I sighed as I dismissed the system. All the stuffs I just got from my first gacha roll went straight to my inventory, and abilities menu for Presence Detection.
I also spotted Lynn running towards me, following by a couple of Knights from Knight of Favonius and someone who seems to be a doctor. I let out my breath I unconsciously was holding as I tried to relax myself after a hectic day.
Unbeknownst to me, this is only the beginning of my chaotic life in this world of Genshin Impact.
To be continued
