A/N: robotman25 and myself may have some new OCs appear, but you shall have to read on and find out if we do. :)

The Truth Hiding In Plain Sight

It was cloudy day as both Rachel and Sasha Jocklin were in the car driving to a place they hadn't been too for many years when they were little kids, far away from the Grant Mansion and away from their alien friends and family.

"You sure it's this way, Rachel?" Sasha asked her older sister.

"Yes I'm sure," the young woman said. "I just hope Uncle Charles is alright."

Sasha held up the paper their uncle got in the mail one day a few months ago along with an old VHS tape that carried a mysterious message.

EVERYONE THINKS THE STAFF DISSAPEARED 10 YEARS AGO
WE'RE STILL HERE.
FIND THE FLOWER

The two thought back of the day they last saw their uncle Charlie, who took on the roles of both father and uncle for them.

Two weeks ago...

Rachel and Sasha saw their uncle watching some old VHS tape with some large weird painting of a red flower on a wall.

"Uncle Charlie, what are you watching?" Rachel asked curiously.

Charles jumped in surprise to see his nieces behind him but quickly composed himself. "Just some old toy commercial. Girls, do you remember that toy factory I used to work at and took you there when you were kids?"

"Yeah, the Playtime Co. Toy Factory, right?" Sasha asked.

"Yup that's the one," he said, giving them both a kiss on the forehead. "Anyways, there's something I need to check out there. I'll be back in a few days." He got up and grabbed his keys to the car.

"But, didn't the Playtime Co. Toy Factory shut down 10 years ago?" Rachel asked, remembering that clearly.

"I wonder why. I loved that place when I was little. Do you know, Uncle Charles?" Sasha asked.

"It was because of…business stuff, yeah. Anyways there's nothing to worry about. I'll only be gone for a few days girls. I'll be back," he promised as he got into his car and drove off, leaving his nieces a bit worried. Though Rachel and Sasha were eighteen and seventeen, respectively, they couldn't shake the feeling that something bad was going to happen.

Present Time...

It had been two weeks since then and the girls were worried sick. They had tried calling him, but got no response, and they didn't want to get their Uncle in trouble with the police in case of a trespassing on private property law. So the girls decide to go themselves.

"I wonder why Uncle Charles was acting weird that day?" Sasha said.

"I'm not sure either, but it looks like we're here," Rachel said.

They pulled up in front of the Playtime Co. Toy Factory, which had seen better days as they pulled up in the old parking lot.

"Rachel look! It's Uncle Charles car!" Sasha exclaimed.

Sure enough, they saw their uncle's car sitting there and got out of their car, now really worried. "Okay, something is definitely going on," Rachel said, leading the way. When they reached the front gate, which was slightly open, they slipped inside and walked towards the entrance, entering the factory a moment later. As they glanced around, they saw how time had taken hold of the place, as it was in poor condition.

"Man, this place has seen better days, I remember how busy and shiny this place was when we first entered here, right Sasha…..Sahsa?" Rachel asked, turning to see her sister gone. Panicking, she looked around, but soon spotted her inside the old gift shop, messing around with some toys. Breathing a sigh of relief, the blonde-haired girl walked towards her sister.

Sasha smiled. "Hey, Rachel. Look, it's Candy Cat, one of your favorites, right?" She asked, holding up an old Candy Cat toy. Though she was only a year younger than her sister, she was a kid at heart and seeing the place again made her feel like a kid again.

"Yes, but that toy has seen better days," Rachel said, seeing it was dirty and one of the eyes popped out and fell on the floor. "In fact, all these toys have seen better days," she continued, her flashlight showing how some of the toys and boxes like the Huggy Wuggy plushies, Candy Cat, and Boogie Bot toys were all either dirty or broken.

Sasha nodded. "Yeah, you're right," she said, placing the old toy back on the shelf. "But you got to admit being here again makes you feel like a kid again, right sis?"

"Yes, but remember why we're here though. We're here to find Uncle Charles, not play with toys," the older sister said gently.

"Right, sorry Rach," the younger sister said.

"It's okay. C'mon, I believe the entrance to the Playtime Area is open."

They walked out of the gift shop and headed towards the entrance of the Playtime Area until Rachel saw a bright green VCR and a matching bright green VHS tape sticking out labeled "Leith Pierre Closing". Curiously, she pushed the VHS tape in the VCR and the TV turned on and the message began playing, which she and Sasha watched."

"Hi, my name is Leith Pierre and I'm the head of innovation here at the Playtime Co. Toy Factory," the person that appeared on the tape said. "If you're seeing this, then you're trespassing. Yeah, we play this little tape on loop whenever we close the factory for the day. So trespasser, just to make you aware. While we pride ourselves primarily on our high quality toys and excellent childcare, we also pride ourselves on our security. For example, this facility is full of hidden motion triggers which, once set off, will turn on the factory's emergency alarms and directly contact the authorities! And that's one of the more tame aspects of our security system. No spoilers…So, you've got my warning. It's not too late to turn around. I just hope you're certain whatever you're doing is worth it."

As the tape ended and the TV turned off, Sasha becomes worried. "Rachel, maybe we shouldn't be doing this, we should have the police look into this, we could get into serious trouble," she said.

"Relax sis, this was an old pre-recorded message. The alarms and motion triggers probably don't even work anymore. Besides, if they did, then our uncle would have set them off and the police would have called us already and tell us what happened," Rachel reasoned.

"I guess your right, but what did he mean by "more tame aspects of their security system?"

"I don't know, but let's keep an eye out just in case though."

They soon entered the open entrance to the Playtime Area before Sasha paused as she realized something. "Hey Rachel, how is this place even running on electricity since the whole place was shut down for around 10 years?"

"Someone must've turned the power on, maybe a generator or something. I mean someone opened these gates that require a GrabPack," Rachel said, seeing something that caught her eye and she looked closer, seeing faint foot prints leading to the power room and then towards the Make-A-Friend hallway and realization hit her. "These look like Uncle Charles' footprints! C'mon Sasha!" The older sister said excitedly, hoping they'd find their uncle.

But Sasha paused. "Uh Rachel, is it me or was something suppose to be on that plaque in the middle of the room?" She asked.

The girls looked to see an empty plaque with large blocks that spelled Huggy and Huggy Wuggy plushies in boxes around the empty plaque.

"If I remember right, there was supposed to be a large Huggy Wuggy Plush standing there that greet people when they enter," Rachel said.

"If that's the case, then where is it?" The younger sister asked.

"It probably broke or something and the company threw it out before they shut down, Sasha. C'mon, the sooner we find Uncle Charles, the better."

They continued to walk down the hallway towards Make-A-Friend, hoping to find their Uncle Charles, but were completely unaware that a security camera was on and watching their every move.

Meanwhile somewhere else in the factory...

A person looked at the TV security screens and slammed a fist on the counter. "Two more intruders. That's the last thing we need here ever since that first intruder came and cause nothing but trouble!" They declared.

Soon, an alarm went off in the security room.

"What's that, what's going on?!" Someone else asked.
Another person looked at one of the screens and saw a train thundering down the track. "You're not gonna like this but, they're back," they said.

"What, but we made sure no more trains would enter the factory; how is that possible?" The first person asked.

"I don't know, but the train heading towards the lower section of the factory this time," the second person answered.

"First, that intruder came a few months ago and caused nothing but trouble, then two more just appeared, and now those Playtime Co. humans are back," the third person said before sighing. "We're all gonna die, aren't we?"

The first person shook their head. "No one's going to die, not us at least. C'mon the sooner we kill those intruders on the lower floors and disable their train, the sooner we can go deal with those two girls," they said as they got up and headed out with the others.

Hmm, what have the girls stumbled upon? And who are those three mystery people? And what's with the train and what humans are the three mystery people talking about? Will the girls find their uncle? Those questions will be answered as the story progresses.

Now, just to let you all know, because Poppy Playtime has only two chapters and Project Playtime is out, not everything in this story will be canon to the lore, as this is an alternate universe version of Poppy Playtime. Just wanted to give you all a heads up.

Please leave me and robotman25 a review, but no flames!
