Chapter 3.

Temperance Brennan was left in a state of utter confusion and unease by the bizarre events of just two hours ago. The scene she had witnessed was straight out of a horror movie - in an instant, someone who appeared to be human suddenly disintegrated into a fine dust-like substance. It was forensically unprecedented and left Brennan wondering what could have caused such an extraordinary phenomenon. As a highly trained forensic anthropologist, Brennan's expertise lay in piecing together the puzzle of human remains to uncover the truth behind mysterious deaths. But this encounter had taken her into the realm of the supernatural, challenging her rational and scientific beliefs.

They sat in a bar, away from everyone else. She could not belief her eyes. Before there sat a woman with the name Cordelia and a men with the name Gunn. As the two unlikely companions sat across from her, the skeptic wondered if she was in some sort of dreamlike trance.

Despite her doubts, the presence of Cordelia and Gunn was undeniable. Booth, her friend, wasn't much of a help. He just grinned like a kid while listening in.

"I dont belief that vampire exist!" She said still in denial, crossing her arms and leaning back in her chair. Cordelia responded with a chuckle, "Well, I wouldn't have believed it myself when I was 16 years old."

The skeptic raised an eyebrow and leaned forward, intrigued. Cordelia continued, "I used to work for a vampire named Angel, he saved my life more than once."

Temperance was surprised that her partner seemed tense. He had been acting strange and unusually quiet since they arrived. She decided to ask him what was wrong, but before she could speak, Booth interrupted. "Hey, come on, guys! Let's not ruin the mood by talking about supernatural beings. Let's just enjoy our time together."

Temperance Brennan had non of it. "No, I want to learn more about this Angel guy, do you know him?" She asked Booth eagerly. Booth paused for a moment before responding "I've heard of him. He's a vampire with a soul who helps people in needs."

Brennan laughed, "Seriously? I can't even deal with the fact that we're talking about vampires like they're real." She shook her head. Although she had trouble believing in vampires, she found herself interested in Cordelia's stories and fascinated by Booth's knowledge of Angel.

"Booth, how do you know Angel?" she asked, looking confused. He nearly spit out his drink when she asked. After coughing and regaining his composure, Booth replied casually: "Let's just say I've had my share of experiences." The skeptic was surprised by Booth's mysterious answer and became even more curious.

"What happened?" she asked. Cordelia gave him a nod of support as Booth hesitated before asking "Do you really want to know the details?" while scanning her face for any hint.

"I still can't believe it, but I wanna hear more about Angel," she said and he nodded before starting his story. Taking a deep breath, Angel began to tell his tale. Angel recounted his encounter with a vampire when he had first arrived in Los Angeles.

"There was a vampire named Russell Winters in Los Angeles, who tragically took the life of Tina, a waitress whom I desperately tried to save. With the help of my friend Doyle, I was able to track down Russel which eventually led me to Cordelia.

"Who is Doyle?" Brennan asked confused. As her partner spoke, Cordelia's expression changed from curiosity to realization.

The mere mention of Doyle's name brought a wave of painful memories to Angel and Cordelia. They couldn't help but feel sad as they were reminded of their dear friend who had been an essential part of their lives. Doyle had not only been a comrade in the fight against evil, but also someone they deeply loved. The innocent question unexpectedly reopened wounds that hadn't fully healed.

"He was one of our closest friends" Cordelia replied, her voice shaking slightly.

"He had a special gift, the ability to receive visions that guided us in our fight." Booth added, his voice filled with nostalgia and grief.

She looked around the room and saw that everyone was serious. Then she saw a guy with brown hair lurking in the corner, eyeing Booth suspiciously. When he approached the table, he crossed his arms.

"Dad, it's been a while since we last met." Connor said with a hint of disappointment in his voice.

Booth immediately recognized his son and was surprised to see him again. "Hey Connor, what brings you here?" he asked, trying to rekindle their relationship but knowing it wouldn't be easy.

Brennan was confused "Why are you calling Booth Dad? He's not that old." It freaked her out. She felt trapped in a never-ending nightmare, desperately hoping to wake up at any moment. She suspected she had ingested something unusual, causing vivid hallucinations.
