Adachi woke up from his nap to see that it was night time, he was pretty sure he didn't have any nightmares and if he did he forgot about them. He saw that a few dozen feet away Yūki had set up a sort of camp but Yūki herself was nowhere to be seen so Adachi assumed she was sleeping.

"Well, no time like the present to train," Adachi said, and dropped to the floor to start doing pushups, after he did a few sets of pushups he moved to other exercises and finally he was ready to train his actual quirk, thankfully the first part was meditation so it didn't take any physical strain on his body.

He calmed himself and began to breathe in and out in a rhythm, after half an hour of that he stood up with his mind refreshed and control over his quirk at an all time high.

"Okay, small storm first then expand it." Adachi said, talking to no one in particular.

"I would love to see this small storm of yours," a gravelly voice from behind him said.

He whirled around to see someone approaching from the edge of the beach opposite to the ocean. They seemed to have a lot of layers of clothes on and were walking closer and closer.

"Who are you?" Adachi called out, raising his voice a little higher than necessary in hopes that Yūki would hear it. "And what do you want with me?"

"Not just you, but you and your friend over there. You see, you eliminated one of my pets lent to me by a friend and I don't really like that." The man said, still approaching.

Adachi saw movement in a tent over to the right of him, and knew that Yūki had heard him.

"You're part of the E.Q.S." Adachi stated, "you want to experiment on us, don't you?"

"Well, that's an added bonus but yes it would be great if I could capture you alive, so just surrender. Alright?" The man said, about 40 feet away from him.

"As if I would ever surrender to you," Adachi said confidently, "besides, you're outnumbered 2 to 1."

As he said that last bit Yūki came flying out of her tent and kicked the man in the side. Sending him 50 feet to the left.

"Ah, you two aren't playing around I see," the member of the E.Q.S. said, getting up and brushing himself off. "Guess there's no time to waste in getting rid of you pathetic pests. I'm sure the guys back at HQ won't mind if I kill you."

Adachi saw the man take off 5 hats that seemed to be hidden up until now. Why does he have 5 hats? Do they do something? Maybe they each have a special effect, or they could each increase his power, or maybe it's just there because he has a weird fashion sense.

His power increasing guess was correct, mostly because of the fact that right after the man took the 5 hats off he zoomed straight towards Adachi, punched him in the gut, and sent him flying towards the ocean where he landed in the water with a splat.

"Ow," Adachi said and got up only to get punched AGAIN and sent back even further. While he was in the air Adachi did some calculations and realized that each hat the man took off would multiply his speed. So he's moving 5 times faster than a normal human right now, and seeing how he's wearing WAY more layers of clothing than usual it's probably not just hats that affect the speed.

Adachi landed once again, this time with a splash, but thankfully the quirk didn't seem to affect the man's swimming speed. Keep him in the water. Got it. Adachi saw the man still swimming towards him, but before the man could reach him, Yūki, who's quirk did affect her swimming speed, managed to reach the man and punch him back to shore, she then went over to Adachi.

"What's the game plan?" Yūki asked, "keep him in the water, right? But what's his quirk?"

"It has to do with him taking off articles of clothing, right now he's 5x faster than the normal human being, I can see approximately 15 articles of clothing still on him that are visible, add at least another 5 to that and we're screwed." Adachi said, "however, if we can keep him in the water his quirk doesn't seem to affect his swimming speed."

"So he has a devil fruit," yūki said.

"Yes, except he can swim, albeit very slowly. Yūki, can you get us back to the shallow water quickly? I have an idea."

"The last time you had an idea you absolutely destroyed me in a fight so sure," Yūki then grabbed his arm and swam back to the shallow water very quickly. The man seemed to be waiting for them to get out of the water and had taken 5 more articles of clothing off.

"Stop here," Adachi said when they were just a few feet from entering the shallowest part of the ocean.

"Ah, staying in the water, which is my weakness." The man said, "not so dumb after all."

"Okay Yūki, here's the plan, you try to lure him in the water, and I'll stay outside of the water, I'm gonna try to summon lightning from a small storm." Adachi whispered.

"Wait, wouldn't the lightning electrocute me too?" Yūki whispered back.

"Not if you swim back fast enough," he answered her, "I can time the lightning so that it'll happen right when you get out of the water."

"Okay, it's a plan. I'll find a way to lure him in the water, you prepare to make a storm." Yūki said, then she faced the man that was apparently part of the E.Q.S. "Hey! Ugly piece of shit, come in the water, or are you so scared that you don't want to fight people half your size?"

"Ha! I'm not an idiot," the man said much to Adachi's disappointment, "I know you can overpower me in the water, although I hate to admit it."

"I can't believe the E.Q.S. would hire such cowards." He heard Yūki yell, but was focusing on creating a storm. He had a new strategy, this man was fast but not faster than lightning. Instead of using lightning to stroke the water, why don't I just make it stroke the actual target. Do I really want to kill him though?

And with that thought Adachi was brought back into his childhood.

"Mommy mommy!" Adachi said, running up to his mom who was standing in the kitchen talking to his father and hanging her a drawing of a storm cloud gathered over their house. "Look what I made!"

"The storm is trying to break into our house but the house stands up against it!" Adachi said, very happy with the effort he had put into the drawing.

"Aw, it looks great honey, now why don't we frame it to remember for the next few years?" His mom asked, smiling down at him.

"Yay!" Child Adachi exclaimed in excitement.

Later that night…

Child Adachi saw his house crumbling down and cried, he cried so hard. He was scared, he saw the bodies of his family littering the ruins around him. He fell down onto his knees and had trouble breathing.

"Adachi! Adachi, wake up! There's a horrible storm!" He heard his mother's voice calling him and he jolted awake. He saw dust falling from the roof of the house, and heard lightning strikes everywhere. He was scared out of his mind.

He saw his family, consisting of his two younger brothers, one older sister, and one younger sister outside. His father was nowhere to be seen, presumably still inside, trying to find his grandparents who had been staying with them for a week.

They all rushed outside, which in usual circumstances would be a bad idea in a bad storm, but they were making their way to a storm cellar they had built a few dozen feet away. And with the house crumbling down, it probably would've been worse to stay inside, the storm seemed to be calming down but it was still causing a ton of damage.

"STOP!" 8 year old Adachi yelled tears stinging his eyes. Suddenly the clouds started to disappear, and there was soon nothing left of the storm but the damage that had been caused.

His mother immediately rushed back towards the house, probably going to try and find his dad and grandparents. Only a few hours later did she emerge, holding up his dad while he had an arm around her shoulder, they both looked more downcast than Adachi and ever seen them be.

"They're… dead," Adachi saw his father choke out, "and the house cannot be fixed. We've lost everything…"

Adachi had tears streaming down his face, why him? Why'd this storm have to happen to his family? He collapsed to his knees and put his head in his hands.

2 weeks later, at the cemetery.

Adachi stood in front of his grandparents' graves, four graves, four sets of flowers. One set for each grave, he wasn't crying anymore, he had figured out what had happened. He had a quirk, he was a late bloomer but his quirk was the thing to kill his grandparents and destroy his house, ruining their lives forever. He hadn't let his parents know because he didn't want to know what they would do if they found out it was his quirk that was the weapon that destroyed their lives in a way that was irreparable.

Four weeks after the catastrophe…

"Mrs. Gekko, your son has been diagnosed with the quirk 'Weather or Not' which allows him to control storms at night and natural disasters during the day. However, the downside of this quirk is that the user's dreams will control the quirk."

His mother looked at him with the most cold expression in her eyes he had ever seen. He was scared, sure he got upset often. But scared? Only in a life or death situation and he was only 8.

When they got home just a few hours later his mother and father took him into another room.

"Adachi, I am so so sorry," his father said, looking very sorrowful, "but if your dreams can control the weather, who knows what devastation it'll cause."

"We're disowning you," his mother said bluntly, "you are no longer a part of this family and never will be."

His friends stopped hanging out with him shortly after he was disowned, forcing him to live on his own, scared that he'd be captured and imprisoned or killed if he caused any more damage. An orphanage wasn't an option because of that very reason.

Back to the present…

"NO! NEVER AGAIN!" Adachi yelled, tears starting to form at the edges of his eyes, and his yelling caught both Yūki and the man's attention.

"My quirk will NOT kill another soul!" Adachi started shouting at the top of his lungs now. "And ANYONE who even TRIES to hurt me or my friend will pay the price!"

A storm gathered, bigger than anything he'd ever summoned before. Lightning started shooting down, creating a constant hollow cylinder of electricity surrounding the man from the E.Q.S., it shot down other places as well but avoided the ocean where Yūki and Adachi were.

Suddenly he saw and felt wires shootout at insane speeds and wrap around him. He looked over to where Yūki was and saw that she had also been captured by the wires.

"Well, that's very heartbreaking even though I have no context, but it seems I was right to call for backup." The man from the E.Q.S.

Adachi looked towards where the wires had come from and saw a dozen wire bears, 2 wire rhinos and probably 30 or so wire wolves. Now being restrained Adachi could no longer control the storm and it dissipated, leaving them in the light of the moon, about to be captured.

"You see, I do kind of feel bad for you," the man said, "but at the same time, I don't. Now, you'll be coming with me-"

"SHADOW STRIKE, TIER 2, DECONSTRUCTION!" Adachi heard a voice yell, and saw the shadows of the wire beasts, though barely visible, start deconstructing the weird metallic creatures.

A person in a dark cloak that hid pretty much everything about them appeared in front of the man from the E.Q.S. and before Adachi could do anything he felt the wires that had grabbed a hold of him loosen up and he broke out, watching the dark cloaked figure in awe.

Adachi looked around to see the wired creatures fully disassembled, but soon put his attention back on the stand off that was currently happening.

"A rogue hero finally got the guts to face me, ay?" The E.Q.S. man said, "Nice quirk you got there, but is it enough to handle this?"

And the man then took off every article of clothing except for what looked to be speedo. Adachi then saw a blue and the dark cloaked figure was launched back a few hundred feet into the ocean.

"Shadow Strike! Tier 3, teleportation!" The cloaked figure said and appeared behind the man who was now almost naked.

"Shadow Strike! Tier 4 complete imprisonment!" The cloaked figure raised his hand and the barely dressed man's hand raised as well.

"Now, do you surrender?" Adachi saw the dark cloaked figure ask the man.

"As if I'd surrender to a weakling like you!" The man scoffed, and Adachi saw that the man seemed to be trying to move but was very clearly failing.

"Very well, Shadow Strike tier 4, prisoner transfer, point A." The cloaked figure said, and the man disappeared.

The dark cloaked figure then turned to them and Adachi could barely make out some facial features, it seemed to be a young man, maybe 18 or 19, with silver hair, dark purple eyes, and a very apparent smile, one that seemed sad and yet happy at the same time.

"Well, hello there!" The dark cloaked man said to Adachi and then Yūki.

"I do not believe we have introduced ourselves yet, I am Shadow Striker, and I have the quirk 'Shadow Strike' as my code name suggests." Shadow Striker said, "Are any of you seriously hurt? No? Alright yeah I can see that, don't know why I asked."

"Uh, I'm Adachi, and my quirk is 'Weather or Not'" Adachi said, for some reason he trusted the gray haired man in front of them, maybe it was because he had saved them, but there was something calming about his presence.

"I'm Yūki and my quirk is 'Enhanced Being' . Are we doing an icebreaker or something?" Yūki asked, "cause this kinda feels like we're friends getting to know each other when Adachi and I just met you."

"Ah right, I see. My apologies." Shadow Striker said, "I am Shadow Striker, the leader of team 3-B of the Rogue Heroes Association, an organization that is against the E.Q.S. which, given your past and present experiences you already know of."

"What do you want from us?" Adachi said, even though he felt calm around this man he didn't want to be too careless.

"Absolutely nothing, in fact, we're asking if you would like to form an alliance with us to take down the E.Q.S." Shadow Striker said, "you don't have to accept of course, but if you did then we would come to your aid if you needed it and you could help us take down the E.Q.S. which from what I've seen doesn't really like you all that much."

Adachi looked at Yūki and she shrugged, mouthing the words "don't look at me I'm not the strategist".

"We accept," Adachi said.

"Great!" Shadow Striker said, "I can teleport us to a base camp nearby if you give me your consent, don't worry it won't hurt or cause any damage to you."

"How would you teleport multiple people?" Adachi asked, curious to see how this teleportation would work.

"Simple, it works just like this." Shadow Striker said, then. "Shadow Strike Tier 5! multi teleportation!"

Adachi felt the world shift around him as he collapsed into his own shadow, and reappeared in a clearing that was in a forest. There were tents everywhere, perhaps a total of 50, there was one big one in the middle that looked to be a command tent and some wooden watchtowers on each corner of the camp.

"This is basecamp 3-B, the task force I'm in charge of. We move every now and then but not too often, we send squads out a lot more than actually moving the basecamp since that would take a lot of effort. Although there are a few exceptions." Shadow Striker said, and Adachi could hear a bit of pride when the dark cloaked man talked about being in charge of it.

"Like what?" Adachi asked, getting even more curious about this whole rogue hero thing.

"War, a massive mission, or a massive fight, or just preparation for any one of those." Shadow Striker answered, "Now, let's talk about that alliance."
