Roman heard the door to his room open. He looked over and saw the silhouette of Foggy enter. She closed the door after her and tiptoed over to the bed.
"Are you alright?" He asked.
She sat down on the bed, pulled her knees up, and pulled the oversized t-shirt over them to cover up. Seth had made the right call buying her a way too big t-shirt to sleep in among other things earlier in the evening. Roman sat up too and stared at her through the darkness.
"I had a nightmare," she said.
"Oh, precious," he said.
He wrapped his arms around her and held her.
"I have nightmares a lot," she said.
"Wanna talk about it?" He asked.
"Just the usual blur of faces coming to my room and the things they wanna do to me," she said.
She started crying and he held on tighter to her.
"I don't wanna be there anymore," she said.
"Then let's leave tomorrow. We'll go back home and never return to this place," he said.
"We can't. They'll find us," she said.
"No, they won't," he said.
"You don't understand," she looked up at him. "Just like you hired Seth, they know people to hire too. They'll find us. As long as they're alive, they'll find us. They'll kill you in the most horrible and painful way you can imagine while I have to watch, and then they'll do even worse things to me. I'm gonna be left alive but at what cost? I've already lost most of my sanity. I need whatever little I have left to somehow survive this."
"But you won't survive it," he said.
He placed his hands on her cheeks and dried her tears away.
"No one ever survives a place like that. We both know that. Once they're done with you, they're not gonna let you walk out of the door and start living a normal life. There's only one way out of that house for good," he said.
"In a body bag," she said.
"Or with the help of Seth," he said. "Seth can help you. You gotta trust him to get you and the other women out."
"I don't trust anybody anymore," she said.
"Trust me," he said.
She reached a hand up and ran her fingers through his beard. He smiled at the feeling. He had missed her touch so much.
"How can you ever be with me again knowing how many men have fucked me?" She asked.
"Raped you," he corrected her. "That's the right word to use. You were raped for five years, and if I ever find any of them, they're gonna feel my wrath. You did nothing wrong, precious."
"But I'm broken," she said.
"Not to me," he said. "I'll always love you no matter what."
He kissed her forehead and smiled at her.
"Do you think you could love me again after all this time?" He asked.
"I never stopped," she answered.
"Can I kiss you?" He asked.
"What if I'll never want to have sex again? You're gonna want sex. You need sex. You'll cheat on me and we'll break up. You shouldn't be with someone like me," she said.
"You know, they make really good sex dolls these days. You can help me pick one out that won't make you jealous so I can get my rocks off that way while still loving you with all my heart," he said.
She laughed through her tears and that was all he wanted to hear. That there was still some happiness left inside her that he was able to reach.
"I'm gonna get you the best therapy money can buy and whatever else you need. I'm gonna run out any day or night for whatever you need or crave. I'm gonna hold you through all your nightmares, bad days and thunderstorms. Whatever makes you afraid, I'll face it with you," he said. "And I'm gonna kiss you now."
He leaned in and placed his lips on hers in a soft kiss. Her hands moved up into his hair and she deepened the kiss. They sat like that for a minute, just kissing and holding each other. She finally broke it and leaned her forehead against his.
"They're never gonna let me go," she said.
"I'm not giving them a choice," he said.
"It'll never work. They'll see right through whatever plan you'll come up with. Once they know your name, they're gonna figure it all out. Even if I keep quiet, Dean will tell them who you are," she said. "Fuck, what name am I gonna give them? They're gonna ask who the client was."
"Let's figure that out," he said.
He stood up and pulled her up from the bed. They walked out in the hallway and knocked on Seth's door. He opened shortly after with his phone in his hand.
"Looking for local hookups on Tinder?" Roman smirked.
"I'm just checking what this town has to offer in case I ever come back. You know I don't go fucking around when I'm on a job," Seth said.
"We need a name," Roman said.
"For?" Seth asked.
"A name she can give once she returns," Roman said.
"Oh, right," Seth chuckled. "Tell them you were hired by the infamous business man Randy Orton."
"No one's seen him in years," Foggy said.
"Exactly," Seth said. "But some of his businesses are still running. People say he's doing it from a private mansion in Europe."
"I heard Australia," Foggy said.
"At one point he was in China too," Roman chuckled. "Tell her, Seth."
Seth smirked at Foggy and chuckled.
"He's been dead for years," Seth said.
"Are you sure? And how do you know that?" Foggy asked.
"How do you think?" Seth grinned. "I took him down and decided to take over some of his businesses. I run them in private and make sure people know enough to think he's still around hiding somewhere. His name opens many doors so it's very useful to keep alive. You're gonna blow a bit on that fire when you drop his name. They'll do a quick google search and see that rumor has it he's still around somewhere. It makes sense why you were booked through JD by an anonymous client when it's someone like Randy."
Foggy looked at Roman who smiled back at her.
"So what's the plan?" Seth asked.
"No plan yet," Roman said.
"I can still gather a team and storm the place if anything else fails," Seth said.
"Dean stops by on Tuesdays on odd weeks," Foggy said. "If you're gonna do this, you need to take him down as well. I don't wanna think about him hurting anyone else in the future."
"I want him dead!" Roman growled.
"At what time does he show up?" Seth asked.
"Around noon. He wants a fresh girl everytime. He says he doesn't like sloppy seconds. I know he's gonna pick me this Tuesday. Hearing I was out of the house is enough for him to be curious enough to know what happened, and he also wants to tell me how he can take that privilege away from me again if I don't do what he says," Foggy said.
"Good thing I'm a morning person," Seth grinned.
Foggy couldn't believe what she was hearing. Seth wanted to show up at the house.
"You're not gonna show up," Foggy said.
"Aren't I?" Seth smirked.
"They'll never let you in," Foggy said.
"We'll see about that," Seth said. "Anything else?"
"Not right now," Roman said. "Thank you. And goodnight."
"Goodnight," Seth said.
Seth closed the door. Foggy turned her head and looked at Roman.
"He can't be serious," she said.
"Trust him," he said.
"But..." She tried.
"Foggy, trust him," he smiled. "Seth knows what he's doing."
"But he might die," she said.
"He hasn't died yet," he said.
"But..." She tried again.
"I trust him," he said. "We should get some sleep. Do you want me to walk you back to your room and maybe tuck you in?"
She looked over at her room and then over at his.
"Can I sleep in your room tonight?" She asked.
"Of course," he said.
"I don't wanna..." Her voice trailed off.
"I know and I'm not gonna try anything," he said. "I would like to hold you if you will allow it though."
"I would like that," she nodded. "A lot."
He held out his hand and she placed her hand in it. He laced his fingers in between hers and walked her back to his room. He meant every word he had said tonight. He was going to hold her, protect her and love her for the rest of their lives. They were going to get through this together.
