Hi Readers: Hope you guys are doing well and enjoyed today's first chapter. As you can probably tell, I took a bit of a break after that last chapter; and that was due to the length of the chapter. Heck, the length of the last two chapters. Chapter 371 came out to almost 5,700 words, and Chapter 372 came out to about 6,300 words. So, that is a lot of words in two consecutive chapters; not that I can complain, as I am a huge fan of writing long chapters for you guys. And in fact, here's another chapter which beat Chapter 372.
Chapter Three Hundred and Seventy-Three
Happy Birthday Baby, Part Thirteen
As much as he wanted to take a breath and stop thinking about what he just learned over e-mail, Matt just couldn't find it in himself to stop his mind from going there and think about it; not when it was the first reported death of one of his staff members to COVID-19. And even now, as he laid here with Gabby, he still couldn't get that out of his mind; especially when you add in the fact that his nephew Diego also has COVID-19, and that just makes it even harder to get out of his mind. Which is the reason why Matt decided that he needed to do something to change his mind, and that would be to join his family in the living room; where he would enjoy a nice glass of water, as a way to finally pull his mind away from the thoughts that we currently running around his mind. Not like it was hard, when what he was doing at the moment actually made it quite easy for that to happen; and that would be what Gabby just did.
What she just did the moment he got onto the couch, which would be that she came to sit in his lap and cuddle up to him, which is exactly what he both wants, and needs at the moment if he was being completely honest. As the feeling of his beautiful wife cuddling up to him, as they took it easy with each other truly was as breath of fresh air compared to what he was dealing with in his office; and that would be how it was depressing to be in there at the moment after the news that he just learned. The news that he's yet to share with Gabby, as he isn't sure whether he should tell her; not when Diego has COVID. He doesn't want her to worry or think that the worst is going to happen when it comes to Diego as he is a strong boy whom he knows will power through this so that what happened to their employee doesn't happen to him. But he couldn't think that way, not when he doesn't want to worry his wife right now.
But unfortunately, you can't always get what you want; and that's due to the fact that his wife knows him pretty well, especially since he's been diagnosed with PTSD. She can read him much better, which allows her to know when he needs to talk; and by the way her husband is acting as they cuddled up to each other here on the couch while they watched their children play, well that made her wonder whether they should really be watching TV when she has a feeling that she needs to talk to her husband. So, she decided to turn her head and look up at the man she loves. "Baby, you okay?" Turning his head, Matt sighed as he really didn't want to worry Gabby; even though that's exactly what he did as he pressed his lips to her forehead this afternoon. And that was how Gabby just knew in her heart, that he did in fact have something to talk about; so, she decided to ask him flat out to just tell her.
Sitting up to look at her husband, Gabby gave him a look that told him that she was going to be serious with him; and let's just say that the moment Matt saw that, he knew that there was no getting out of whatever Gabby was going to ask him. "Okay, you just sighed and kissed my forehead after I asked you whether you're okay. Now, I can read you better than anybody baby; and we both know that's one of your signs that you need to talk to me. So, what in the world is going on right now?" Matt sighed as he looked at Gabby. "I just got an e-mail from Jeffrey Adams." Gabby was confused as she heard Matt say that. "Our attorney in Chicago?" Matt agreed with Gabby, as that most certainly is who Jeffrey Adams is, their corporate attorney at Adams Law Group in Chicago. "He just sent me an e-mail today." Gabby then got nervous. "Shit, do we have problems in any of the legal issues." Matt shook his head.
As that most certainly isn't the case, but you already knew that; rather it was the fact that one of their associates died. "Well, it's actually something that has to deal with who our lawyers are." Gabby was confused as she turned her head and looked at her mom. "Mom, do you mind if we talk about this while you're here?" Camila shook her head, as she was more than okay with it. "Of course, you can sweetheart, and go ahead and cuddle if you want; it's actually quite adorable when you do that with each other." Matt smiled as he heard Camila say that, as he felt the same way when it came to them cuddling up to each other. "I think that was an order Gabby, for you to lay down in my arms and cuddle up to me like your mom told you to." Gabby laughed, before doing just as her husband wanted her to do; she cuddled up to him and got very comfortable here in his arms, as they relaxed on the couch together.
After which, Matt turned his head and kissed her forehead softly; before continuing with what he had to tell her, related to what he got in the e-mail from Jeffrey Adams. "So, I am going to just say this…" Matt said, as he wrapped his legs around Gabby's on the couch and went to grab the blanket that was on the back of the couch. After which, he proceeded to cover them both up as a way to get very comfortable with her. "Oh, now this is really comfortable." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, as it most certainly is very comfortable, which is why he did it, as he wanted the both of them to be comfortable. "Why do you think I did it?" Gabby snickered as she heard Matt say that, well aware that there was a reason why he did it; and it was to make them both comfortable here. And that most certainly is exactly what Gabby is right now, comfortable as she cuddles up to the man of her dreams, here on their couch.
But still, that didn't mean that she wasn't still interested in just what her husband recently learned over e-mail. "So, are you going to finally share with me what exactly you learned over the e-mail from out attorney?" Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, before taking a breath. "One of the partners, Ms. Selma Moore, has passed away from COVID-19." Gabby was absolutely shocked as she heard Matt say that, as that was not something that he had planned to hear; nor was she truly prepared to hear it right now. She just didn't feel like it was real at the moment due to the fact that there was no way that death has come so close to them, right after the virus has joined their family; because if you forgot, Diego also has COVID-19 at the moment which is why she's a bit worried. "She got it on vacation in Italy with her husband over Valentine's Day." Gabby agreed with Matt, well aware that things are really bad there.
"OK. So, it might just be that the virus is worse there, doesn't mean anything for Diego."
Turning her head as she heard Gabby mention Diego, Camila agreed with her daughter as she felt the same way about it. Just because someone that they had on their staff died of COVID-19, that doesn't mean anything for Diego. "No, you're right Gabby; it doesn't mean anything for Diego." Matt agreed with his mother-in-law, smiling at her as she was glad that they were on the same page when it came to that. "I just don't know whether we want to share this news with Antonio, as he may not feel the same way of that makes sense." Camila agreed with her son-in-law as he said that, as that made complete sense. "We don't need to share it with him then, as it isn't really that close to us. Isn't that the law firm in Hawaii?" Matt shook his head. "Like I just said, Adams Law Group in Chicago." Camila then realized that, agreeing with her son-in-law. "Well, now that makes sense." Matt agreed with her, before sighing.
After all, he felt a bit bad about this due to the fact that he sent Antonio to the lawyer. "Just curious, is Antonio still testing negative for COVID?" Camila was confused as she heard Matt say that. "Why?" Matt bit his lip. "Uhm…I don't know what it means for him. He was the one that I sent to the initial meeting with them, as I didn't feel comfortable going with us having kids…" Gabby then got nervous as she heard Matt say that. "Baby…" Matt sighed as he looked down, before taking a breath; after which, Gabby got up so that she could move out of the way. "Baby…" Matt then decided to get up, as he felt like he needed to go. "Excuse me." Gabby then proceeded to try and grab his hand, due to the fact that he needed a moment after what he just learned; the fact that he may have given his nephew COVID-19…due to the fact that his brother-in-law went to the legal meeting rather than himself. And he has to call Antonio.
Casey Primary Suite – Standing at the window in his room, Matt took a breath as he got ready to talk to his brother-in-law so that he could tell him that he needs to isolate; because unlike what they originally thought, it wasn't Diego hanging out with his friends that got him COVID. Rather, it was him going to the meeting with his lawyer to do that work with him instead. He just hopes that he can forgive him. And that's what he's going to talk to him about, as he dialled his brother-in-law's number and then proceeded to put his phone up to his ear; with the hopes of him answering. And luckily for him, that's exactly what he did. "Hey, this is a nice surprise. Thought you'd be spending time with your kids." Matt agreed with Antonio as he said that, as that was something that he was just doing. "I was just doing that, but I needed to take a moment away from them to talk to you." Antonio was confused.
After all, he didn't exactly understand just what he was talking about; due to the fact that he was just starting to get worried. "Dude, you're starting to worry me. What's going on right now?" Matt sighed. "Ok. Remember how I asked you to go to the lawyer's meeting for me?" Antonio agreed with Matt. "Yeah, what's wrong? Shit, did I screw something up?" Matt shook his head. "No, you didn't do anything. I promise that you didn't do anything. Please, do not think that you did anything wrong; because I'm the one that did something wrong in sending you in the first place." Antonio was even more confused as he heard Matt say that. "Ok. You need to stop playing around with me, and you need to just come out and tell me what's going on Matt. Is it your family?" Matt shook his head, as that most certainly isn't something that his brother-in-law doesn't need to worry about as they are more than okay.
Everything is okay, and he's going to make sure that Antonio knows that. "I promise, everything is fine." Antonio agreed. "Ok. So, are you going to finally tell me what's going on?" Matt agreed with Antonio. "I just got an e-mail from our lawyers. And unfortunately, I need to tell you that meeting you had with them may have led to you getting COVID." Antonio was surprised as he heard Matt say that. "Wait, so you mean…" Matt agreed. "Yes, you might have been the one who gave Diego COVID. Because I just learned that one of the lawyers at Adams Law Group in Chicago, Ms. Selma Moore had COVID-19 from a previous trip in Italy over Valentine's Day." Antonio then understood where this conversation was going. "So, you're telling me that meeting may have led to Diego getting COVID?" Matt took a breath, as he felt horrible. "I am so sorry Antonio." Antonio then went to tell Matt that it was more than okay.
Especially since it wasn't his fault. "Matt, don't you dare blame yourself for this. This isn't your fault. I was the one that decided to go to the meeting in person, when I could have easily asked them to do it online." Matt agreed with Antonio as he said that, well aware that was the case; while at the same time, he took a breath and just tried to relax. He knew that he couldn't have predicted that his lawyer would have COVID. "Matt, nobody could've guessed that he had COVID since this is all so new. I promise that I'm okay, and we're all good. We're going to be okay." Matt agreed with his brother-in-law as he said that, well aware that was the case; after which, he took a breath as he made sure that he relaxed right now. As that was what he needed to do. "Matt, we're going to be okay. Now listen, how about you relax and just take it easy? Have fun as you celebrate your birthday." Matt agreed, as he'll do just that.
"Thanks Antonio."
Antonio agreed with Matt, while proceeding to hang up; while at the same time, he also felt Gabby put her hand on his back. Turning around after he felt her hand, he took a breath and sighed. "Let me guess, you just spoke to Antonio?" Matt agreed as he stepped close to his wife, while also wrapping his arms around her; meanwhile, Gabby put her hands on his arms as they held each other close. She then looked up at the man she loves and kissed him softly. Moving her hands to his chest, Gabby took things nice and slow with the man of her dreams. "You okay right now?" Matt agreed. "Yeah, I feel okay." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before wrapping her arms around his neck; at the same time, Matt wrapped his arms around her and held each other close. He then ran his hands down her back and smiled due to the fact that this is exactly what they need to do right now. They need to hold each other.
Gabby then leaned back, before putting her hands on his face as they held each other close. "Listen, I was thinking that me and you could just take it easy after all that news. I already spoke to my mom, and she's okay with that." Matt agreed with Gabby as he wrapped his arms around her even more, as they held each other close. He then turned his head, smiling as he kissed the side of her head. "So, we going to stay dressed?" Gabby smirked as her husband asked her that. "Will it change your mind over how you blame yourself?" Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, feeling her grab his hands; after which, she led him back towards their bed where they were going to hold each other close and just take it easy. Because that most certainly is exactly what his wife wants to do with him right now, hold each other and just relax in bed with each other; all due to the fact that he just learned about a death.
He decided to tell his mother-in-law why, why he and Gabby needed to spend a bit of time alone, which is something that they are going to do, after Camila agreed to let them do just that. To take some more time with each other, as they just relaxed and held each other in bed. And that's exactly what Matt and Gabby are going to do, especially after what Matt saw the moment he walked into his and Gabby's room; and that would be her wearing a nightgown, which the birthday boy most certainly does love the sight of. The sight of his wife wearing a nightie that he most certainly does like it. "God, you are so damn sexy." Gabby agreed with her husband as he said that, well aware that Matt always loves it when she's wearing a nightie; and now, he was getting ready to touch her. But first, he decided that he was going to take off his shirt. However, that wasn't something that Matt was going to do as that was her job.
It was her job to get him undressed, and she was going to do just that. "Ah, nice try baby. That's not your job." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, while also making his way over to her, which then led to Gabby putting her hands on his chest as they cuddled up to each other. Meanwhile, Matt placed his hands on her neck and leaned in so that he could kiss her softly. Taking things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world, Matt just smirked due to the fact that he was really happy right now. "I love you so much, and I'm happy that this is what we're doing. As much as we want the kids…" Grabbing Matt's shirt, Gabby tugged his lips against hers as a way to shut him up. "Can you please just shut up and do what I want you to do right now?" Matt agreed with Gabby, as he proceeded to take off his shirt for the woman he loves. After which, Gabby grabbed it and threw it away for him.
More specifically, she threw it onto the ground; as that was exactly where they both wanted it to be right now, on the ground. She then proceeded to run her hands down his chest and grabbed his belt, that way she could take off his pants. "You like this birthday boy?" Moving his hands to his beautiful wife's neck again, Matt smirked as he leaned in and kissed the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. Wrapping her arms around his back, Gabby smiled as she took things nice and slow with the man she loves. "I love you." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that. "I love you too." Gabby then proceeded to tug of his pants, which then led to Matt taking off his pants for the woman he loves; that way they could get undressed, as a way that they can get in bed with each other. But first, he bent down and proceeded to carry his clothes to his dressed. Meanwhile, Gabby was about to get in bed.
However, that was the last thing that he wanted her to do. "Don't you dare get in bed. I am going to help you in bed." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, just staying where she was standing at the moment; that way she could wait to get in bed with the man she loves. After which, he proceeded to make his way back over to his gorgeous wife. "I swear, you really are such a beautiful wife." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, loving the flirting that he was doing with her. "God, I love the flirting that you do with me. Now, are you going to come help me into bed?" Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that, while making his way over to her and wrapping his arms around her waist; while at the same time, Gabby wrapped her arms around his back and leaned up to kiss him softly. "I love you." Matt agreed with Gabby, just taking things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything.
He then proceeded to pick her up in his arms, while wrapping her legs around his waist; wrapping his arm around her back afterwards, Matt smiled as he leaned in and kissed the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. At the same time, Gabby put her hands on his chest and just took things nice and slow with the man of her dreams. The man she loves more than anything in the entire world, as well as the father of her beautiful children. "I love you so much." Matt agreed with Gabby as he went ahead and laid her down in bed, before he climbed into bed with her so that he can lean over her. And that's exactly what he did, he leaned over his wife as he closed the covers and put his hand on her side; meanwhile, Gabby put her hands on his toned chest as they took things nice and slow with each other right now. "God, I love you so much." Matt agreed with his wife, as he tugged the covers up more.
Because at the end of the day, that was exactly what the both of them wanted to do right now; they wanted to take things nice and slow with each other, as they showed each other just how much they love with each other. "God, now this is perfect." Gabby agreed with her loving husband as he said that, before feeling him move his hand to her neck; he then proceeded to take things nice and slow with his gorgeous wife, which is exactly what they both wanted to do right now. They wanted to take things nice and slow with each other, but he didn't know whether they wanted to have sex with each other. "Just curious, are we going for it right now? Or are we going to just take things nice and slow with each other?" Gabby bit her lip, as she didn't know whether she wanted to have sex yet. Yet at the same time, she does like the fact that her husband was on top of her at the moment. But it didn't last for long.
And that was due to the fact that Matt didn't want to pressure Gabby to make love to him, but instead wanted to just let her decide whether she wants to take things slow with him; and Gabby actually really appreciate that. "Thanks for not going for it yet." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, while watching as she got close to him; after which Gabby wrapped her arm around his back, as she put her hand on his chest and slipped her legs in between his. Matt then put his hand on her face and leaned in to kiss his beautiful wife softly, while also putting his hand on her side. That way, they could hold each other close as they relaxed with each other. Because at the end of the day, this really is something that Matt wanted to do with his wife right now; he wanted to hold her close, as they relaxed and just took a moment in bed with each other. Yet at the same time, he knew that they also needed to talk.
They needed to talk, due to the fact that they have a lot on their minds. "I can only assume that your mom let us have some time, due to the fact that you told her that we want to talk?" Cuddling up to Matt, Gabby agreed with him as she wrapped her arms around his torso; at the same time, Matt wrapped his legs around hers and put his hand on her back. Stroking it with his thumb, Matt smiled as he turned his head and looked down at Gabby. Bending down, Matt smirked as he proceeded to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. Running his hand up and down her body, Matt smirked due to the fact that this is exactly what they both want to do right now. They want to hold each other close, as they concentrated on each other. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt, while feeling him run his hand down her body. And that was due to the garment she was wearing.
And that garment was a very sexy nightie. "God, I am so glad that you decided to wear this lingerie for me. Now, I have a feeling that this might be from a certain store that I enjoy?" Gabby agreed with Matt, as the nightie that she was wearing for him was indeed from Victoria's Secret. "What do you think about it?" Matt smiled as he put his hand on the side of her hip, before tugging her body against his chest some more; while at the same time, Gabby slipped her legs in between his and wrapped her arms around his back. She then looked into his eyes and smiled due to the fact that she loves that they are holding each other close at the moment, as they cuddled up to each other here in bed; after which, she leaned in and kissed the man she loves more than anything the entire world. Putting her hand on his face, Gabby smiled as she knew that this is exactly what her husband wanted to do right now.
Matt just wanted to lay down in bed with Gabby, as they held each other close and took it easy with each other right now, which is why they're doing this right now. "So, are we just going to lay down here in silence? Or are we going to talk?" Matt smiled as he heard his wife asked him that question, while turning her head and looking down at the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world; he then bent down and kissed her softly. "I think I like this, and I may even want to take a bath with you." Gabby thought about it, while smiling due to the fact that most certainly is something that she wants to do as well. She wants to take a bath with her husband, but she doesn't know when he wants to do it. "Have an idea when you want to take a bath?" Matt smiled. "Maybe for now, we can just hold each other as we relax and hold each other." Gabby agreed with her husband, really liking that idea.
After which, she watched as her husband rolled over onto his back. "Hey, where are you going?" Matt smirked as he proceeded to grab his TV remote. "Mind if we turn on the TV?" Gabby shook her head, as that most certainly isn't something that she minds them doing as that's exactly what they're going to do right now. They're going to hold each other close, as they watch some TV with each other. "Here, slip over so that I can lay down on your chest some more." Matt agreed with Gabby as he slipped over in bed, that way she can lay down on his chest, which is exactly what they both want to do with each other right now. She wants to lay down on his chest, as they cuddle up to each other and just relax in bed. I mean, what's better than the feeling of the two of them holding each other close? It's exactly what they both want to do today, especially when Gabby is just wearing a nightie for her husband on his birthday.
A nightie that he hopes to take off later, something he's going to make sure as he turned his head and kissed the top of her head. "Just curious, am I going to get a chance to take off this nightie later?" Turning her head, Gabby agreed with Matt and smiled due to the fact that her loving husband will most certainly be taking off her lingerie for her. "Maybe after supper, we can make love to each other; then we can take a nighttime bath with each other, before we fall asleep in each other's arms." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, as that most certainly is something that he likes the idea of; then again, he doesn't know what his wife wants to do right now. And that's especially related to whether Gabby wants to be alone with him, without the kids for a while. "So, what are we going to do when it comes to the kids for the rest of the day? Are we going to leave them with your parents?" Matt took a breath.
After all, he isn't sure what they're going to do when it comes to the children. "What are you thinking? Should we have them later?" Turning her head, Gabby looked up at the man she loves due to the fact that he's the one that needs to answer that question, which is due to the fact that he's the birthday boy. And at the end of the day, he's the one that has to decide whether he wants to spend some time with his children. "Matt, it's your birthday. If you want to spend time with the kids, then we most certainly will spend time with our kids on your birthday." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, as that most certainly is something that he loves the idea of. "Maybe after supper, but for now I want to spend a bit of time with you after what we had to deal with." Gabby agreed with Matt, as she ran her hand down his chest and cuddled up to him. And let's just say that this is exactly what they both want to do.
They both want to hold each other close, as they cuddle up to each other in bed as they relax on his birthday. "Whatever you want to do baby, then we'll do it. I just want you to be happy on your birthday." Running his hand up and down Gabby's back, Matt smirked due to the fact that's exactly how he feels at the moment. He feels extremely happy as he cuddles up to the woman he loves. "Well, I can tell you this. I am very comfortable here as we hold each other close, which makes me very happy." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that, before leaning in and kissing the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I love you so much. And this has been such an amazing day. Thank you for making it such a great day so far." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, as that was something that she was more than okay with doing for the man she loves, making him happy as they hold each other.
"Baby, I love you; and I want to make you happy on your birthday. If you're happy on your birthday, then I've done my job."
Matt snickered as he heard Gabby say that, while also wrapping his legs around hers. Grabbing the TV remote, Matt then proceeded to run his hand up and down her back once more as he decided to turn on one of their recordings. "Let me guess, you want to watch one of our recordings?" Matt agreed with Gabby, as he turned his head and kissed her forehead softly. "Of course, I do, because we don't have the kids. And since we don't have the kids, then we need to take advantage of that." Gabby sighed as she heard Matt say that. "And are you okay with the fact that we don't have the kids at the moment?" Matt agreed with his wife, as he's more than okay with them being alone for the moment; turning his head again, Matt smiled as he kissed her forehead as they both held each other close. "I am more than okay with the fact that we don't have the kids, as it means that I get time with you." Gabby agreed with Matt.
Feeling Matt put his hand on her leg, Gabby smirked as she felt him stroke her leg with his thumb as they held each other, which is exactly what they both wanted right now. They wanted to be a little sexy with each other, as they just enjoyed Matt's birthday together after hearing some bad news. "So, do you regret working today on your birthday?" Matt sighed as Gabby asked him whether he regrets working on his birthday. And the truth is, there was mixed feelings there. "Do you mind if we talk about that for a minute?" Gabby shook her head, as that most certainly isn't something that she minds. "No, go ahead baby. Want me to lay down next to you?" Matt shook his head, as he changed the TV channel so that he could put it on a music channel. He then proceeded to put his hand on Gabby's back, while also stroking it with his thumb as they both just held each other close right now as they spoke to each other.
He needed to take a moment, a moment to think about what he wanted to say to his wife. But now that he knew what he wanted to say, he went ahead and started to speak to her about whether or not he regrets working on his birthday. And the truth was, he did; because now, he's not thinking about how happy he is that it's his birthday; but he's instead thinking of death, and the fact that his nephew has COVID-19. Heck, even that his brother-in-law may have COVID-19. And it's just on his mind right now, which is something that Gabby most certainly can understand; as it's on her mind as well. "I do regret working on my birthday." Gabby nodded as she heard Matt say that, while he turned his head and pressed his lips to her forehead. Meanwhile, Gabby ran her hand up and down his muscular chest; something that she loves to do as she just loves to cuddle up to the man of her dreams right now.
"And that's due to the fact that I have a feeling that maybe we wouldn't have gotten that news, had I not worked on my birthday."
Turning her head, Gabby shook her head as that wasn't the truth; he could never control that, nor would she want him to control that. And that's due to the fact that it's a lot of work for him to say that. "Baby, you need to relax and not worry about that. All that matters is that you take it easy and just relax, as you run the company to the best of your abilities, which is exactly what you're doing." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, while also turning his head to look at the woman he loves. Kissing her forehead, Matt smiled due to the fact that this truly is exactly what they both want to just do right now. Cuddle up to each other as they relax in bed. After which, Matt smiled as he put his hand on Gabby's arm; stroking it, he turned his head and just smiled at the most beautiful woman in the entire world. He then proceeded to run his hand up and down Gabby's back, while is something that Gabby loved the feeling of.
And that was due to the fact that she absolutely loved the feeling of his wedding band on her back, which is exactly what Matt was in the midst of giving his beautiful wife; the feeling of her loving husband's wedding band (which she picked out for him) on her back. "You know, whenever I feel your hand on my back including your wedding band…I always wonder when I gave it to you." Matt snickered, as he knew exactly what she was talking about; after all, he made a huge thing about giving her the ring. "I still remember when I gave you your wedding ring, and how I decided to give it to you." Matt then proceeded to run his fingers through Gabby's hair, while turning his head and pressing his lips to her forehead. "Did I ever tell you that I spoke to Kelly about it?" Gabby snickered. "Yeah, right." Looking down, Matt agreed. "Oh, you're serious. You actually spoke to him about it." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife.
"His suggestion? Something related to whipped cream!"
Gabby was shocked as she heard Matt say that. "You're kidding me." Matt shook his head. "I think I did a much better job when it came to giving you the ring, in my opinion." Gabby agreed with her husband, while laying down on his chest again; after which, Matt turned his head once more and pressed his lips to her forehead again. "You did, but that doesn't mean that Kelly did with Stella's ring." Turning his head, Matt looked down at his wife. "He didn't!" Gabby agreed with her husband, as that was exactly how he gave his wife her ring. "He gave her the ring with whipped cream on her birthday cake." Matt shook his head. "And now he knows why his wife doesn't want to give him a daughter." Gabby snickered. "She's changing her mind. Says she may want to try on the night of Cruz's wedding. By the way, do you know if that got cancelled?" And just then, it was like magic as Matt's phone rang.
Going to grab it, Matt saw that it was Cruz. "Speak of the devil." Gabby was shocked. "You're kidding." Matt shook his head, before answering the call from Cruz.
"Personal or work-related?"
