Chapter 1 – Act II: Land of Everlasting Thunder

"Brrrrrr, I know I should have bring some thicker clothing and blanket."

My body was shivering from the sheer cold of the night wind of the sea as the ship I hitchhikke was entering the Inazuman sea. I wrapped by stupidly thin blanket while curling myself into a ball on the corner of the deck.

The deck was practically empty. Most of the crew were all sleeping in their own cabins. There were only a couple of the ship crew who were still awake. The one on the crow's nest and the one on the wheel.

It's has been about six hours since I departed from Liyue Harbor. Situation like this was one of the moment where I really wish the teleportation waypoint from the game also exists here.

But sadly, there was no such thing in this world I was currently living in. Even the Statue of the Seven couldn't be use to move around from one place to another.

While waiting for the ship to arrive at Inazuma, I guess I will roll the gacha to pass time.

I opened up the system and chose the gacha menu and a banner popped out. I currently have 1900 Primogems and it requires 1600 Primogems for one ten pulls just like in the game.

I immediately tap the 10 rolls button and the gacha animation was being played.

There was no gold comet, meaning that there will not be a 5 stars item in this roll, which was quite unfortunate. But I still got 5 purple comets, 3 blue comets and 2 silver comets and no black comet which means no 1 star item.

[2 stars: 50 liters waters] [2 stars: Rice Cooker]

Hmmm, I got two common items for the 2 stars.

Well, at least I wouldn't have to be worry about getting thirsty and the rice cooker seems also nice, and based on the description, it doesn't require electricity to use it. So I can cook rice anytime and anywhere I want, I just need to stock up some rice.

[3 stars: Mcmillan TAC50]

"Hmmm!"

I raised an eyebrow when a gun, a sniper rifle to be exact, appeared. It's not the model I was familiar with, granted that my knowledge of guns mostly came from video games. It looks so big and powerful though.

I checked on the description/spec of the rifle. It's an anti material, bolt action type sniper rifle that used 50 BMG ammo. I was given only 10 of them, each seemingly being a different types of bullets. Silver tip, tungsten tip, black tip, and many more. I wasn't a gun enthusiastic during my life, so I never knew there were types of bullets to begin with

Ammo was ammo and I only care on how much I do have, which was not much. I probably will not used the rifle for the time being unless the situation demands it.

[3 stars: Quick Equip] [3 stars: Flight]

The other 3 stars were two abilities.

Quick Equip was absolutely a very useful ability to have. Meaning I don't have to go all the trouble navigating into my inventory and manually select equipment any equipment I want. I can just thinking about what item I wish to equip and it will automatically equips on my. And moreover, the ability was permanent.

Flight also was a very useful ability as well. But I gotta be careful not to fly too high, the air up there is very thin after all. I could passed out and fall to my death if I'm not being careful. It was also a permanent ability without time limit.

[4 stars: Iaijutsu Mastery]

I widened my eyes when the next item came out and it was a new type of item nonetheless. It was categorized as "Skill". I checked on the description to see what it was about. I then frowned a bit at the description I just read.

Basically, Iaijutsu Mastery allowed me to become a master of quick draw Swordsmanship without the need to train. However, it only lasted for about 5 minutes. Meaning that I will return back to being an amateur of Swordsmanship once the time run out.

I should probably save this for later, just in case I will be fighting a very skilled opponent. This also reminds me to improve my own Swordsmanship since I could barely swing a sword just to save my life from mere hilichursl.

I may have Gnosis and can just blast most of my enemies with my powerful black lightning, but I would rather not to be heavily reliant on my Gnosis if I can help it.

[4 Stars: 5 Uru Ingots]

"Hoooh."

Next items were some materials, and I believe it's tone of those fictional metal. And if I recall, it came from Marvel Comic, specifically the same metal that Thor Hammer was made of. This will works well pairing with my Gnosis, I can make a nice Katana with this metal.

There was one problem though. I don't think there a single being in this world of Genshin Impact who could melt this metal so it could be forge into a katana. If I recall, this stuff requires a literal star just to melt it. I honestly doubt even an Archon could do it.

[4 stars : World Tree Trunk]

Another material for 4 stars items. This one seems to be the trunk from the World Tree from Norse Mythology, not sure whether it's from any fictional world such as Marvel or God of War, or it actually came from real mythology.

Either way, the description says that it is very VERY durable, but yet so light. Like the Uru Ingots, I don't think there was anyone in this world who can uses it to craft it into something.

[4 Stars: Arctic Region Chaldea Uniform]

"Hmmmm."

I hummed when a familiar item appeared. Aside being a Genshin Player in my previous life, I was also a Fate Grand/Order player. This item in front of me was a mystic code, a magical item from Nasuverse in form of clothing that has various effect on the user.

Strength booster, resistance to poison and extreme temperature. It also seems to be self cleaning as well. Probably the best part of the feature.

All in all, a pretty solid item to have. And I wish I could get more of it.

Anyway onto the last item….

[4 stars: 4 Nintendo Switch]

"Seriously?"

I twitched my eyebrow in annoyance when the next item appeared. Sure, from the description it has the similar properties like the gaming set I obtained last week. The Switch doesn't require to be charged, it has practically infinity storage, can connect to internet and I actually got four of them for some reason.

But abilities and skills were the one that I wanted the most right now. Heck, even items like Rice cooker was more useful for my survival than mere game console.

With a sigh of defeat, I dismissed the gacha menu and was about to went into my inventory. But then I remember that I now have the Quick Equip ability. So instead I just imagine the equipment I want to use, or in this case, wear.

The casual clothing I was wearing earlier was now replaced by the Chaldea Mystic Code I just obtained. The size was perfect for me, not too tight but not too loose either. My body temperature suddenly went back to normal after wearing this mystic code. I stood back to my feet as I get rid of my thin blanket and let myself be exposed to the cold night wind.

I didn't feel so cold now despite not wearing any thick clothing.

This put a smile on my face.

"Not bad. It's definitely works as described." I spoke as I bend around a little to examine the uniform more closely. "It's pretty stylish too."

"What's that pretty stylish?"

I was startled for a bit when a voice suddenly was heard from my behind. I looked over my shoulder to see a young woman around the age of 20, wearing a pretty simple shirt and pants and wears an eyepatch over her left eye.

This woman was definitely Beidou, the famous captain of Crux fleet. Just like the case with Ningguang, I didn't recognize her at first due her being younger and the fact this ship is a bit different the Crux I knew from the game.

But after her first mate introduced me to her when I asked him if he can take me to Inazuma do I realize that I had an encounter with another relevant character from the game…yet again.

I had no choice to aboard with this ship, even if it means that I had to be in the presence of one of the more relevant character in Genshin Impact. I just hope that it wouldn't become a habit in the future.

"Oh, it's nothing captain. Just this clothes I bought earlier." I quickly answered as natural as possible.

"Really? I didn't see you bringing anything on board except for that weird two wheels vehicle." The captain crossing her arm in front of her chest.

I went silent for a moment before giving her a cheeky smile and brought up a finger over my mouth.

"It's…a secret." Was that all I said to her and she just gave me a stare for a moment before shrugging her shoulder.

"Oh well, So long it doesn't endanger my ship, I couldn't careless about your secret then." Beidou said, dropping the subject which I took the chance to ask her something else.

"How long until we reach Ritou by the way? It's getting late, I might need to find an Inn in there." I asked as I leaned over the deck railing.

"We will be there soon, just about an hour or two. Why are you heading to Inzamua anyway if you don't mind me asking?" The dark brown haired woman asked as she too leaned on the deck railing.

"I need some Inazuman ores, the Amethyst to be exact, for jewelry. Couldn't find any from the merchant in Liyue Harbor, said that someone bought his whole stocks of it." I answered as I crossed my arm to my chest.

I then looked at Beidou who awkwardly scratched the back of her ear.

And then, a realization dawn to me.

"Wait…it's you, isn't it?" I asked her…well, it's more of an obvious statement by this point.

"Yeah, sorry about that. Someone paid me good money to buy all the Amethyst I could find and deliver them to Fontaine." The captain of the Crux answered.

I couldn't say that I was upset. It's wasn't Beidou fault that I had to go all the way to Inazuma just to get the material for my counterfeit Vision. I just wasn't fast enough.

But then I realized something.

"Wait…isn't Fontaine even farther from Inazuma than it is from Liyue? Why would you take such a roundabout route?" I asked with a confusion in my tone.

"Well…" Beidou scratched the back of her head as she began. "…when I heard that you need a lift to Inazuma, I just thought "why not". So, it's kind of a spur of moment decision actually."

I just looked at her when Beidou gave me the answer.

"You mean you took the long route…just because you just feel like it?" I looked at her in disbelief.

Beidou just gave the a rather shit eating grin.

"Well what can I say? I love sailing over the sea. And you also sounded so desperate about heading to Inazuma. I assume you have a pressing matter there, so I'm just lending you hand."

A few moment of silent passed after that. I was baffled on how she said so casually that she did all that for a total stranger like me. Now I felt a bit guilty for deviating her route.

I need to repay her with something so that my mind would be at ease after we goes on our separate ways.

An idea popped out in my mind.

"You know what…" I crouched down and imagine a certain items I just obtained from the Gacha to appear in my hand.

A box of Nintendo Switch appeared.

Beidou couldn't help but letting out a whistle as she looked at the box curiously.

"Pretty neat trick you got there. But what is that?" Beidou asked and I just handed the Nintendo box at her.

"Here, this is for you. For all the trouble I caused you." I simply said to her.

Beidou took the box, clearly didn't mind getting a free stuff. But she still looks so confused at the gift she just received.

"Thank you…but that exactly is this?" She asked as she examined the box up and down and was interested but the image.

"It's a device that allows you to play video games." I briefly explained and the fleet captain immediately perked up.

"Games!" Beidou suddenly burst out in excitement as she practically shoved her face onto mine. "What games? What games? What games?" The ship captain was like a child who just got her first birthday present.

I was thinking about how to explain it to her in a way she can understand. But I decided that it might be more effective to just show her instead. So I took the box from her and sat down again on the deck floor.

"Here, let me show it to you." I said as I motioned Beidou to say beside me which she promptly did.

I opened the box, which revealed a paper with the instructions that, for some reason, was printed in the Teyvatian Language. Beidou took the paper as she read the instructions manual. While Beidou was reading the manual, I proceed to open up the first lid to reveal the 6.2 inch table/console and the iconic red and blue joy controllers.

I then proceed to show Beidou on how to turn the device on, how to navigate through the user interface, managing the Switch account which I named after her as well as showing her how to use the joy controllers.

While I explained all of these foreign things to her, Beidou maintained her amazed looks on her face, which was oddly satisfying to look at.

Indeed, there was always some sense of satisfaction whenever I see a genuine amazement of someone reacting to little things like this. This is actually the reason why I likes any anime, manga or Manhwa that has modern people showing any modern technologies to non-modern people.

It is a pretty satisfactory feeling, I don't mind it.

I later let Beidou trying to play some single player game, Super Mario Bros 2 to be exact. After showing her how to play it, she then did her trying to adjust to herself with the controlled, but more often failed in process.

However, from the look on her face, she was clearly enjoying fiddling the controller.

She then finally get the hang of it and was actually getting better. She finally finished the first level, although she died several times and was down to her last life.

"Bwahahahaha. This is fun." Beidou joyfully laughed as she continued playing with the console.

"There are many more games for you to try." I said as I showed her how to change the game. She nodded in understanding as she began to play another game.

~One hour later~

"Bye Fischl. Thanks for the gift by the way." Beidou said as she escorted met and my bike off the ship to the port.

"It's not a problem really. Make sure you take care of the Switch I gave you. And makes sure to clean the screen and controller regularly with dry napkin." I reminded her in which she nodded in understanding.

"I will be back here in couple of days, just in case you need another lift back to Liyue Harbor. Just makes sure to finish whatever business you have here " Beidou promised as she head back to her ship as I just waved at her.

Yeah, not going to happen.

As I watched the ship departed, I just sighed as I stretched my body as I turned around towards the direction where Ritou was located. The pier was practically empty, only a couple of fisherman were still here securing their boats.

I decided to stash my bike back into my Inventory since moving around with it might attract many unwanted attentions. I noticed this when I was walking around with my bicycle back in Liyue.

After a couple minutes of walks, I arrived at Ritou. This small town, which acted as the gateway for all non-Inazuma native to enter and leave the nation, was roughly half the size of Mondstadt city. It's definitely more crowded currently in her compared the port, but seemingly began to end their days now.

Many people began to close, some Inazuman soldiers began to change shift with their colleagues and some parents were calling their kids to return home.

I better find some Inn for a night. Luckily I found one and luckily there was one more room for me. And the renting cost was merely 1000 Mora for a night.

I went to my room, unlocked it with the key that the receptionist gave me and opened the door, revealing a rather cramped room with only a single bed, a small table and an oil lamp.

"Well, it's a cheap Inn after all." I spoke to no one in particular as I locked went into the room and locked it.

I immediately sprawled on the bed, which was a bit hard and definitely not comfortable at all. I frowned as I sat on the bed before scroll through my inventory and picked several square shape pillows. I lined the pillows on the bed before lay on top of them.

The pillow only helped a bit, but at least I can sleep this way. I closed my eyes while trying to fall into a slumber.

"hhmmpp hhhmmmpp hhhhmmmpp"

At least until I heard a faint muffling noises from the outside. This room must have a terrible sounds insulation if muffling noises like that were heard from the inside of this room.

Still, I was curious what the noise was about and peeked my head out of the small window that was barely fit enough for a child to pass through.

The light were mostly shutting off, but I can see a faint sight of some people dragging a child while covering their mouth, preventing them from screaming.

"A kidnapping attempt." It was more of a statement than a question.

Deciding that I probably wouldn't be able to sleep peacefully if I let this happen, I used my Gnosis to channel the elemental energy directly from through my body and turned myself into a streak of black lightning.

I flew out the window, zig-zagging through several buldingI arrived at the outskirts of Ritou. I then immediately intercepted the kidnapper who were about to shove the child into a carriage that was waiting for them.

There were about four of them, consisted of those samurai mobs, I believe they were called Nobushi. Them and plus the carriage rider who immediately fled from the scene.

I snapped my finger and a black lightning strikes the runner, who screamed in agony before fall to the ground. The lightning was strong enough to knock him out unconscious but still weak enough not to kill him.

The child managed to break free from their kidnapper, using their momentarily shocks from my intervention and immediately tried to ran away from them towards me.

One of the Nobushi was about to grab the child by their shirt. But I immediately sprung into action and dashed forwards, turning myself into a lightning and intercepts the Nobushi by grabbing onto his wrist, preventing him from laying a hand on the child again.

"Oh no, you don't." I then easily swung the vagrant over my head before slamming him really hard onto the paved ground, knocking him unconscious.

It seems the features from the Mystic Code I was currently wearing was working. The man I just manhandled was probably weight around 70-80 kilograms, and I lifted him over my head with barely any effort.

"A Vision users?!" One of the Nobushi yelled out in shocked as he saw one of his comrades was beaten so easily.

The child was hiding behind me. They were wearing a cloak that covered their body from head to toe, but I noticed a bit of white hair peeking out from the cloak.

"Look out." The child, a girl to be exact by the sounds of it, warned me and pointing at the direction where the Nobushi were.

I then saw one of the Nobushi, the one who yelled earlier, gathered up some electro energy around his katana. It seems he was a vision user. He then fired multiple streak of lightning from the tip of his Katana at me.

I just swatted the incoming attacks to my side with a backhanded slap from my left hand.

"You seriously call that lightning?" I asked the vagrant who was in shock that his attacks was easily repelled just like that.

Little did he know that I wasn't a vision user, but rather a Gnosis user. And one thing I actually have found out about being a Gnosis user that not only I can directly draw the elemental energy straight from Celestia, but I also have gained some degree of resistance to the element I wielded.

Unless they are around an Archon level in term of strength, I cannot be harmed by any electro based attack ever.

"This is what LIGHTNING looks like."

As I declared that, I raised my left hand towards the sky as I drew quite amount of elemental energy from Celestia and gathered it up above the Inazuman sky.

The atmosphere began to shift, the cloud began to swirl above Ritou, forming a massive vortex that could be seen by everyone throughout the nation…if they still awake by this hours.

With a down swing of my hand, a mighty black lightning strike down the vision user Nobushi.

Said Nobushi was instant incinerated into nothing, not even his ashes remains. He also didn't even got the chance to scream when the black lightning strikes down like the wrath of god. The lightning must be hotter than the average regular lightning, which was around 30,000° Celcius, if it can incinerate human being instantly like that.

I then just realized what I have done.

I just killed someone.

I just killed a human being.

...

...

I strangely didn't feel guilty at all…but it still left a bad taste in my mouth.

Perhaps it's because I was being a bit too reckless, as unleashing such huge attack might attract some unwanted attentions.

Or perhaps it's because I could have easily incapacitate him without even the need to use my Gnosis.

Either way, I wasn't pleased from what I just did.

I then looked at the remaining Nobushi who were frozen in terror and the girl who was also frozen in terror as well while looking at my direction. I snaps my fingers one last time, zapping the remaining Nobushi with a weak lightning that was only strong enough to knock them out cold.

I then heard a faint rushing footsteps from and used Presence Detection to find out around dozen of Inazuman soldiers were heading towards this spot in hurry.

"You are safe now kid, stay here for a moment. The soldiers are coming here. Please don't mention about my appearance here."

After attempting to reassure the gild, who was still shaken by this whole ordeal, I then left the scene in a flash of black lightning and secretly headed back towards the Inn.

~Meanwhile, at the Grand Narukami Shrine~

"Hmmmm."

Yae Miko, Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine, stopped writing on her paper when she felt a very familiar elemental power being used somewhere as her fox ears perked up like a sensor that just detected an earthquake.

She looked outside from the window of her office and saw a swirling vortex of cloud covering the night sky of Inazuma. The pink haired beauty narrowed her eyes as she could feel massive elemental energy around the swirling that she knew it came from Celestia.

She then reached into the sleeve of her Shrine outfit and pulled out purple object that has the shape similar to that of a chess piece.

The Electro Gnosis that her friend gave her to her for safekeeping.

It didn't react to the massive elemental energy that was currently gathered above the sky, but Yae Miko have familiarized herself this kind of energy to know that it was the work of a Gnosis.

Only one conclusion that came out in her mind.

"Interesting."

There was someone else in possession of an Electro Gnosis.

There was another Electro Archon other than her friend.

She then saw a massive bolt of black lightning strikes down. Judging by the amount of elemental energy gathered in that one strike, Yae Miko pitied whoever in the receiving end of that strike.

The swirling vortex of cloud then disappeared soon after that strike from the black lightning.

After securing the Gnosis in her hard, Yae then began to head out towards the location where the lightning strike down. She was about to head towards the Tenshukaku first to notify her friend about this.

But knowing who her friend was, she probably already knew about it.

~Meanwhile, at the Plane of Euthymia~

True to Yae Miko words, Ei, the current Electro Archon, the true ruler of Inazuma, was snapped out of her meditative trance when she felt a disturbance above the sky of her nation.

Massive amount of elemental power from Celestia was just unleashed upon her nation.

She knew it came from a Gnosis, which in her friend custody, but she doubt it was her friend, Yae Miko who used it.

Either someone has stolen her Gnosis from Yae, which Ei highly doubt it, or Yae herself willingly gave it to whoever who currently using her Gnosis.

Either way, she need to know.

She then dismissed her meditative position and stand back up to her two feet.

This might be the first time in hundred years since the last time she saw the sky of her nation.

But this matter might requires her direct intervention and not the "puppet" that rules her nation in her place.

Within the Tenshukaku, Raiden Shogun's body was taken over by her creator.
