In this chapter: A young man is akumatized and amokized into Casanova, after mistaking his crush's silence as rejection. He is also given a Sentimonster, Dark Cupid, to help him in his quest. Will the heroes be able to save the day?
Chapter Nineteen: Casanova
Roland and Juliette were currently on a romantic date. It was nearing the end of term, and they had just completed their final exams.
"Can you believe we've finished our exams?" Juliette let out.
"I know, that chemistry exam was exhausting," Roland groaned.
Juliette would soon notice a young couple sitting nearby. "Aww, look at them," she said.
The girl had hazel eyes, and long black hair. She wore a white shirt with a dark blue bow on the collar, a yellow cardigan over the top, dark blue skirt over navy tights and navy shoes.
The boy, meanwhile, had blue eyes, and blonde hair. He wore a white shirt under a light blue vest, a purple jacket and grey trousers. He also wore black dress shoes, and a blue bowtie.
"Orion!" the girl let out.
"Mikaela, we've been friends since we were babies, and I wanted to ask you something very important," the guy, now identified as Orion let out.
"What is it?" Mikaela asked.
Orion would take out a beautiful bouquet of flowers! "Please say you'll be my girlfriend!"
Mikaela gasped in shock, silent.
Everyone else was gazing at this scene, wondering what the young woman was going to say.
But she said nothing. Orion glanced down, feeling heartbroken. "I knew you wouldn't love me," he let out sadly, before he ran off, crying.
"Orion!" Mikaela let out, trying to chase after him. "It's not what you think!"
The citizens would go back to doing what they were doing before.
Roland frowned. "Geez, that's not good."
"That young man, or even that young woman will now be a prime target for Hawk Moth!" Juliette let out.
"Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that," Roland frowned.
A mechanical whir broke the chamber's silence, and ghastly blue light was allowed into the circular room. The moment the light struck the white forms along the ground, the butterflies, now luminescent, took to the air. They filled the dim chamber as a cloud of beating wings, hovering around the figure in the center of the room. It would soon reveal Hawkmoth, along with Mayura.
"Oh, this is just perfect for an akumatized villain. Let's give him a Sentimonster too," Hawk Moth smirked.
Mayura smirked, taking her hand fan, and taking a feather out from it. "I was thinking the exact same thing," she said wickedly, giving it the dark energy to become an amok.
Hawk Moth would let a butterfly land on his hand. He covered it, and corrupted it, turning it into an akuma.
"Fly, my evil little akuma, and akumatize this heartbroken young man!" Hawk Moth declared, twirling his cane, before letting it stomp on the ground.
Mayura blew on the amok. "Follow along, my beautiful amok, and enhance the frustrations of this heartbroken man!"
The akuma and the amok would go out into Paris to search for its victim.
They would both soon find the victim, with the amok floating down, followed by the fluttering of the akuma. The amok would enter the bouquet first, followed by the akuma, which would turn the bouquet a dark purple.
Orion would look up, the area around his face darkened, turning a darker shade of moderate vermillion. The hybrid mask for akumatization and amokization would appear as well.
Hawk Moth would speak first. "Casanova, I am Hawk Moth. Your flowers will now be your secret weapon. Anyone who smells them will be under your complete control," he said.
"Casanova, I am Mayura. To help you in your quest, you will be given a Sentimonster, Dark Cupid, completely under your control. He will shoot his arrows at your affected people when they've been rejected once by their loves, turning their love into complete hate," Mayura would continue.
"But we won't give you this power for free. In exchange, you must seize the Miraculouses of Ladybug, Cat Noir, Lionne, and Ocelot. Do we have a deal?" Hawk Moth asked.
Orion would smirk. "Yes, Hawk Moth and Mayura. I won't let you down. Mikaela, you will rue the day you rejected me!"
The mask would disappear from his face, as the purple ether would cover the man's body, starting from the bouquet, beginning the transformation into a supervillain. When it faded, Orion looked completely different. His skin tone became a sun-kissed tan in color, and his hair turned golden blonde, slicked back with oil. His eyes turned a deep, dazzling blue, and he wore a fancier suit than the one he wore earlier, but it was navy blue in color. He also wore a black cape on his back, and black dress shoes. The bouquet turned darker, and the roses became blood red. They were attached to a bracelet he wore on his right hand, and it has a retraceable string.
A dark blue ether would appear behind Casanova, forming his Sentimonster. When it faded, the Sentimonster, Dark Cupid, would appear. He wears a black and red cupid-themed outfit, along with large black wings attached to his back, each feather-like end tipped with two red stripes. On the sides of his neck, there are black lightning bolts. He wears a black head cover, the areas covering the top of his hair and around his eyes being red, but his eyes remained gray. The top of his suit is red, with a large white broken heart on his chest. From the waist down to the knee, the suit is black. From the elbow down to the hand is black, and from the knee down, it is red with a few strands of cloth sticking out above the back of each ankle. On his back is a black, red, and white striped quiver, which carries red arrows. His archery bow is based off of a breaking heart. The handle is white with red heart halves at the ends, and on each side of the bow, there are two large gray and white spikes. The only difference about the Sentimonster, was that he didn't have the heart brooch that the original Dark Cupid, who was Lê Chiến Kim Ature's akumatized form.
"Come on, Dark Cupid," Casanova smirked. "Let's go cause some havoc."
"Sounds good to me, Casanova," Dark Cupid grinned wickedly.
Mikaela would have made it home, too tired to chase after her friend. She sat on her bed.
"Oh, I hope Orion's okay..." she said to herself.
Suddenly, she heard her brother's voice!
"Hey, get away from here, you creep!"
"Oh, Richard that's no way to speak to a friend," Casanova's chilling voice let out.
"Huh? How do you know my name?" Richard let out. Then, he gasped. "Wait a minute...Orion?!"
"Orion's gone! I'm Casanova now! Now, tell me where Mikaela is!"
"If you want her, you'll have to get through us," Richard's wife, Scarlet would let out, joining in on the conversation.
"You'll regret getting in my way," Casanova growled.
Then, there was silence. Mikaela looked up as there would be a knock on her bedroom door.
"Who is it?" Mikaela asked.
"Mikaela, it's Scarlet. Someone's here to see you." Her voice sounded odd.
Mikaela was even a little frightened. "Okay...they can come in."
As soon as she said that, her door would be kicked down!
"What the hell?!" Mikaela let out.
She would soon see Scarlet, her eyes glossed over, and a deep red. Casanova would soon step into the room.
"Who are you?!" Mikaela let out, scared.
"Mikaela! I poured out my heart to you, and you broke it into a million pieces! Once I find out who it is you truly love, I'll ensure you break their heart too!"
"Orion?!" Mikaela let out, shocked.
"I'm Casanova now! You broke my heart, and that killed the old me!" He would growl.
Now, Mikaela was scared. "Get away from me!" she yelled. She would run to her window, and open it up to escape.
"GET YOUR LITTLE SISTER UNDER CONTROL!" Casanova yelled to someone off to the side.
"Yes, Casanova," a blank voice let out, as Richard would come into the room, trying to grab his sister. But she managed to escape, sliding down the roof. She would make it to the tree, and climb down it, before running off.
The akuma alert would go off, as Juliette and Roland would go to find somewhere to hide.
Juliette would hide behind a dumpster, and let Leena out.
"I have a feeling that the akuma is either that young woman, or the young boy we saw with the flowers," Juliette said.
"We won't know for sure until you transform!" Leena let out.
"Leena, LET'S ROAR!"
Leena would be absorbed into the barrette, which turned gold, and looked like a lion's paw. Juliette's eyes turned hazel, and became cat-like, and her platinum blonde hair was taken out of its braid, turning auburn, and becoming straight. Her clothes would be soon be replaced with a sleeveless golden and strapless dress that reached to her knees, and golden arm-length gloves with black claws on them. She also had long black boots, that had a golden lion logo on the back of each boot. A golden belt would be wrapped around her waist, and it had a long, lion tail attached to it. There were two holsters on her dress; each of them contained a dagger. Finally, a golden superhero mask would appear over her face. She would pose once her transformation was complete.
Roland would go into the washroom of the café they were at. Luckily, nobody was in there.
"Time to transform! Occa, streaks on!" he declared, as Occa is absorbed into the silver oval hair clip: which turns black and the inside turns a golden yellow. It has 5 rosettes inside.
Roland soon wore a golden yellow suit with large streak spots on the arms, torso, back, and legs that have a thick black outline and are light yellow in the middle. He has a light yellow middle section down his middle that goes slightly down his thighs before curving under him and partly up his butt. Around his waist is a belt-like structure that holds a long tail that is golden yellow with black spots. His tail is very heavy and usually used for leverage, but can be removed to wield like a flail. He wore tall boots that point up to his knees with a black heel and a light metallic yellow toe that are fashioned like paws.
The sole of his boots also have paws on the bottom. His collar is black and goes up his neck; though it comes down in the middle with a diamond shape around the middle of his collar bone. His mask is heavily marked like an ocelot's face with black and white markings on golden yellow. His eyes gain a blue sclera and turn to slits like a cat's do. He has fake ocelot ears including oceli on the back of them. His hair also gets long and shaggier, the longest parts on both sides of his head gain a golden yellow ombre at the ends. He has gauntlets with heavily armored fingers joints and knuckles that end with sharp claws at the ends. He would pose at the end of his transformation.
Marinette and Adrien would hear the akuma alert go off, and they would both go to hide so that they could transform.
Marinette would hide in the girl's washroom of the movie theatre she was at with Alya, as they were currently watching the Barbie movie. Thank goodness no one was in there, and it would be a good thing that everyone would get a refund, due to the akuma attack. It was a new law that was in place since the akuma attacks started.
"Alright, Tikki. Time to transform! Tikki, Spots ON!" Marinette declared, transforming into her alter-ego: wearing a red superhero jumpsuit covered in black spots and with a black collar/turtleneck. Her yo-yo was wrapped around her waist with a red string. On her face is a red mask with five black spots that are in a symmetrical design, and the waterlines of her eyes are coloured black. Her earrings are red with five black spots in a quincunx pattern, and the bands holding her hair back become red ribbons, resembling a ladybug's antennas or a ladybug flying when she's moving. Her eyes became a vivid azure. She would pose at the end of her transformation.
Adrien was at a modelling gig, which had been interrupted by the akuma attack. He would hide, as a few of the camera crew would be affected by both Casanova, and his Sentimonster. He would hide in his trailer.
"Plagg, Claws Out!" Adrien let out, as his ring would turn black, and gain a green paw print on its face. He has cat eyes with green sclerae, dark green irises, and oval pupils. His hair becomes longer and untamed, and it covers his normal ears. Cat Noir wears a textured black skin-tight catsuit with metal details. He wears matching gloves that have claws on the fingertips and boots with a hidden wedge, silver toes, and paw-shaped treads. He has a golden bell on his neck, connected to a zipper on the front of his costume, and a long belt that wraps around his waist and hangs out from the back like a tail. He wears black cat ears and a black mask around his eyes. He'd pose at the end of his transformation.
All four heroes would land on top of a building. "Okay, this is bad," Cat Noir said.
"You think?" Lionne sighed.
Ocelot would look down to see a girl running. "Hey, maybe we can ask that girl what the problem is."
"I'll go," Ladybug said, as she hopped down.
Mikaela was trying not to cry, when she saw Ladybug.
"Hi there, I'm Ladybug," the spotted heroine said.
"I know who you are," Mikaela sniffled.
"Can you tell me about the akuma?" Ladybug asked gently.
"It's my childhood friend, Orion. I think he got upset when I didn't respond to his declaration of love. He thought that my silence was a rejection. But I was just too shocked to say anything. It's all my fault!"
"No, it's not your fault. Go and hide. Cat Noir, Lionne, Ocelot and I will deal with the akuma," Ladybug promised.
"Thank you, Ladybug." Mikaela would go and hide.
Ladybug would hop back up, and told this to her fellow heroes.
"Okay, so we know what we're dealing with at least," Lionne said.
"I think we're gonna need some luck," Cat Noir said.
"LUCKY CHARM!" Ladybug shouted as she tossed her yoyo into the air. Magical ladybugs would surround it, before an item would materialize.
"AHH!" Ladybug let out, seeing the item.
"What is it?" Ocelot asked.
"It's a beehive! With live bees!"
"Well, that's an interesting lucky charm," Lionne said.
Ladybug would look around, trying to figure out what she could do with the lucky charm. The beehive would light up, followed by Casanova, and the roses.
"I think I get it. The roses are still real, right? And bees love flowers! That's how they make their honey! We need to get them close, open the hive, and the bees can swarm Casanova!"
"The arrows won't affect us, since we're not in love, and we're not under Casanova's control," Cat Noir said. "I can destroy the roses with my power."
"It might be a problem," Lionne said.
"Oh right, you two are in love. Okay, so maybe you shouldn't fight in this fight then," Ladybug said.
"We understand. It's for our safety," Ocelot nodded.
"You two go and detransform. If we need you, we'll call you," Ladybug said.
The two heroes would nod, and would head off.
With Ocelot...
"Streaks off," Ocelot said, transforming back into Roland.
Occa would come out of the Miraculous.
"Roland, aren't you a bit upset you can't fight this akuma?" Occa asked.
"No," Roland replied.
"No?" Occa repeated.
"It makes sense. Lionne and I are in love, and if we get controlled by the akuma and the Sentimonster, we might give over our Miraculouses, plus Ladybug and Cat Noir's to Hawk Moth!" Roland let out.
"Oh yeah, I completely forgot," Occa said.
"Hey, maybe you'd like to try chocolate dipped strawberries?" Roland asked.
"I've never had that before," Occa said, as he hid in Roland's scarf.
With Lionne...
"Let's hush," Lionne said, transforming back into Juliette.
Leena came out of the Miraculous. "I honestly think Ladybug was smart enough to have you and Ocelot sit this one out," she said.
"I agree," Juliette said. "I guess I should text Roland, and tell him that we shouldn't come out of our hiding spots until the akuma's been dealt with."
"Juliette, you'll know that the akuma's been dealt with when you see the Miraculous Ladybug being cast," Leena said.
"Right," Juliette said.
Back with Ladybug and Cat Noir...
Ladybug had gotten a skateboarder to let her borrow the skateboard he had, while Cat Noir managed to borrow some roller skates.
"Ready to do this, kitty cat?" Ladybug asked.
"Always, m'lady," Cat Noir replied.
The two would charge forward.
"Hey, hotshot! We've got a sweet gift for you!" Ladybug shouted, throwing the beehive to Cat Noir, who would use his baton to swing it.
"BATTER UP!" Cat Noir swung it.
"What the-?!" Casanova gasped, the beehive falling to the ground and breaking open! The bees would be angry, and head towards Casanova and his roses! He screamed and yelled, trying to swat them away. Even Dark Cupid tried to deal with them!
"CATACLYSM!" Cat Noir shouted, touching the bouquet, which would effectively destroy it. The amok and the akuma would come out. Dark Cupid would disappear.
"No more evildoing for you, little akuma and amok," Ladybug began, as she opened up her yo-yo, spinning it around. "time to DEEVILZE!"
She would capture both. "GOTCHA!" Then, she turned around to release them. "Bye bye little butterfly. Bye bye little feather."
Ladybug would take a piece of the broken beehive, and throw it up into the air. "MIRACULOUS LADYBUG!"
Almost immediately, the magical ladybugs would go around, fixing all of the damage done, and freeing the enslaved people. Casanova would turn back into Orion, who was very confused. "Huh? What's going on?"
"Pound it!" Ladybug and Cat Noir said.
"We failed. Again." Mayura deadpanned, annoyed.
Under the fluttering wingbeats, Hawk Moth growled and his cane creaked under the pressure of his grip. He clasped a hand over his brooch, and his voice rumbled against the metal walls. "Curse you Ladybug! I will get your Miraculouses! One day!"
Mikaela came out of her hiding spot, and ran to Orion. "Orion!"
"Mikaela! I messed up! You don't deserve someone like me!"
"Orion, I'm so sorry! I was silent because I was too shocked to reply! I love you too!"
"You...do?" Orion said.
Mikaela would kiss him.
Orion would happily kiss her back.
Ladybug and Cat Noir would soon leave, as their Miraculous would give their warning beeps.
Later...
Roland and Juliette would happily continue their romantic date, and they ended it off with a sweet kiss.
