Chapter 3
Get in Gear!
The sun was about to go under the horizon and both Yuma and Issei were walking through the park.
"I had a lot of fun today Issei" Yuma said with a shy smile as Issei smiled back
"Yeah me too" he replied
He then felt his hand brush against hers making him slightly blush. Deciding to be a little bold he then grabbed hold of her hand, intertwining his fingers with hers. Issei expected her to pull away but to his surprise she didn't making him smile greatly.
'I'm touching her!' Issei thought with excitement
Suddenly Yuma then let go of his hand and got in front of him, acting cute and shy.
"Can I ask you favor Issei, something to commemorate this special moment" she said which made Issei a bit more excited.
'I'm going to get to kiss her!' Issei thought
"Sure Yuma, anything" Issei replied
Of course when Issei said that Yuma then gained a sadistic smile on her face and gone was her shy aura, now it felt…sinister.
"Would you die for me?" she asked
Issei was shocked, hardly believe what she said.
'Did she just…no, no I probably misheard is all' Issei thought
"I'm sorry can you repeat that, I don't think I heard you right" Issei said with a nervous laugh only for it to die when Yuma then got up his ear still holding that sinister smile.
"I said would you die for me?" she said again
Issei's eyes went wide in fear and shock; there was no mistaking it she really said that and he heard it firsthand. Suddenly out of nowhere Yuma's clothes then burst right off of her leaving her in the nude until a black liquid started drip down and form on her body until it became leather straps, then out of her back sprouted two jet black wings causing feathers to fall around the area leaving Issei in a state of shock and horror. Gone was the sweet and friendly Yuma, now was more darker woman now wearing what could only be described as dominatrix gear.
'What the…she looks like a demon!' Issei shouted in his head
"I have to admit I did have a little fun on your date, considering how childish you are things could have gone worse and the gift was sweet too" 'Yuma' said admiring the bracelet on her wrist
She then held out her hand as a red light appeared until it formed into a spear causing Issei to fall on his rear as to get away from the winged woman.
"Yuma please don't" Issei said trying to stop her but he's pleas fell on deaf ears
"It's time to die" she said as she raised said spear into the air to strike
But just before she could strike however, suddenly three laser blasts then came right at her and hit her straight on making her fly back from the force into the fountain behind her. With a scowl on her face she then pulled herself out of the water as she looked around the park for what or who shot her.
"Okay, who did that!?" she shouted into the night
Then out of the forest and landing in front of the sitting Issei was his savior. Said person was man wearing red spandex suit, red boots and white gloves. On the front of his suit was a number one that was styled like an eagle, what seemed to be black tires at the hem of his boots and gloves and a silver safety belts attached to his belt around his waist. His helmet was designed like a mix between an eagle and a race car since it had yellow beak, headlights and a black triangle visor along with two tire wheels on each side.
"Why hello there" the stranger said causing 'Yuma' to glare in rage at him
"Who do you think you are human, get out of my way!" she shouted at him but the stranger then shook his head
"Sorry can't do that lady" the man said making her growl
She then raised her spear again and reared back in order to throw it at him.
"Then die with this pathetic pervert!" she shouted as she threw it
But just as the spear left her hand, it was then shot of the sky by a laser blast causing it to go flying in the other direction until impaling a tree. Shocked, Yuma then looked at what did that only discover a blaster in the stranger's hand that looked a little bit like rivet gun.
"Sorry, I'm just quicker on the draw" he said in mocking tone
The stranger then looked over his shoulder at Issei who was still sitting in shock at the events that were happening.
"Hey kid" he said snapping the brunette out his state, "Go find some place to hide, I'll handle this" he said
"Uh…sure, I'll do that" Issei said scrambling to his feet and running into the forest
Yuma saw this was about to go after him until another laser was shot at her feet making her stop and scowl at the red man.
"Sorry, but your dance partner is me…Raynare" he said causing her to gasp, since he knew her real name
"How do you…?" she asked
"I have friends in high places, now are we going to fight or you going to fly away like a chicken" he taunted
She held out her hand and formed another spear as she glared hard at the man.
"Fine I'll kill you first you spandex wearing oaf!" Raynare said pointing her spear as the stranger groaned
"Okay one, not spandex and two if you want a name…just call me, RPM Red" he said as he jumped into the air surprising her
"Nitro Blaster!"
RPM then shot several laser at her, causing explosions to happen around her thus blinding her. Once his was close to her, RPM then shot a blast point blank at her stomach area causing her to go skidding across the pavement. Once she stopped she then narrowed her eyes at him and charged right him, quickly however RPM then twisted the end of the muzzle making the handle to go straight and the barrel to extend.
"Nitro Sword!"
He then charged at Raynare, causing the tires on his boots to spin and rev up like a car which also made him faster. Raynare then tried to slash at him but RPM then blocked the attack with his blade causing sparks to fly on contact. She then swung to left but again he blocked it until he pushed it away from him and quickly swung at her which made contact causing sparks to fly off her body making her cry out in pain. Growling, she then swung again at him but he sidestepped the attack and slashed at her shoulder once again causing sparks. RPM then made the next move by sending a kick at her which she caught making her smirk.
"Bad move" RPM said confusing her
Suddenly the wheel attached to his boot then spun up on her making her howl in pain as the tire spun on her skin at high speed. She then let go of the leg to make the burning stop, not before leaving black tire treads on her stomach area.
"Now that's what I call burning rubber" RPM joked making her howl in anger and formed several light spears around her.
"I'm going to skewer you!" Raynare shouted and fired the volley
Acting fast RPM then started to cartwheel out of the way of the spears and once he dodged them all he then twisted his sword back into blaster mode and fired more shots at Raynare. The woman then blocked the attacks with her wings causing her wince in pain as they made contact but then unfurled them and threw a quick spear at him which knocked his blaster out his hand. Seeing this Raynare then gained an evil smile as she formed a spear.
"Not so tough without your weapon now human" she said in her own mocking tone
Of course this just made RPM chuckle, which confused the winged woman.
"Little something you should know about his Rangers, we are never out of weapons" he said
He then pressed his thumb against his belt buckle causing it to glow. Then a hologram of his number one then came off his chest until it then morphed into a large sword which RPM took a hold of.
"Street Saber!" he shouted as he held the sword in his hands
"Are you kidding me?!" Raynare exclaimed
Without wasting a second, the tries then revved up as he charged forward he then swung the saber at her. Raynare then tried to block the attack but to her surprise the saber cut right through and hit Raynare, not wasting time he then hit her with a few more strikes until kicking her in the chest sending her flying into a lamp post causing it to be bent due to the impact.
"Alright, time to get in gear!" he shouted
Then suddenly a glowing yellow road appeared underneath his feet causing him to ride along.
"Street Saber Strike!"
Then with one final attack RPM then swung at Raynare causing her to scream in pain. RPM then turned around from her just as sparks started to erupt off of her until she fell over and an explosion went off.
"And that…is how it's done" he said
RPM then made his saber disappear has walked over and picked up his blaster.
"Alright kid you can come out now" RPM called out
Right on cue, Issei then stepped out from a tree, stars practically in his eyes, like a five year old meeting his favorite comic book character.
"That was awesome! Are you a super hero?!" Issei asked which made RPM chuckle
"What gave it away, the suit or the weapons?" RPM joked
Suddenly they then heard a groaning behind them causing them to turn around only to discover a barely conscious Raynare on the ground, struggling to get up.
"You what to go again, I'll gladly oblige" RPM said pointing his blaster
She then shakily got to her feet, her body covered in bruises and her hair in shambles. She then slowly looked up at them eyes filled with hate and it was all directed at the red warrior.
"This is wrong, this is all wrong" she said which confused the two boys, "I am fallen angel, you're a human without a sacred gear, I should be stronger then you!" she shouted as RPM shook his head with disappointment.
"Is it a bad time to say I wasn't going all out" RPM said causing her eyes to widen in shock
She looked like she wanted to say something else but suddenly a glow appeared in Issei's pocket causing him to fish it out to reveal the flyer he got a while back and it was now glowing crimson.
"I think that's your cue to go crow" RPM said in a mocking tone
And as much she hated to admit it he was right so once she spread her wings she then took flight into the night sky, all be it a bit sluggish.
"This isn't over! If I find you again I will mount your head on my spear!" She shouted
"Ominous" RPM joked which made her shout in angry and flew off.
Just as the raven haired girl was gone a red sigil then appeared on the ground and soon a person manifested in the middle of the sigil, sporting very familiar red hair. Once the sigil was gone and the person was fully here it was revealed to be none other but Rias Gremory.
"I have heard your plea and as such I will…." She started to say until she stopped
Her face morphed into one of surprise when she saw Issei staring at her with equal surprise and RPM who has his arms crossed over his chest.
"You're…alive" Rias said, trying to wrap her head around what she was seeing
"Uh, yeah I am thanks to him" Issei said glancing at RPM
Rias then looked over at the costumed individual, cocking an eyebrow of confusion at the strange person's attire.
"And you are?" she asked
"Well if you must know, I'm a Power Ranger" RPM said, tossing his gun into the air and clipping it to his belt, "but you can call me RPM Red!" he added striking a pose
"Okay…and why are you here?" Rias asked
"Oh just saving this kid from a fallen angel" RPM replied which shocked Rias and Issei
"How do you know about fallen angels?!" Rias asked now suspicious of this RPM Red.
"Um, what is this about Fallen Angels?" Issei said causing Rias to curse under her breath and RPM to chuckle.
"Well looks like my job is done, so I'll leave him in your capable hands Miss" RPM said as Rias quickly turned to him.
"Now hold on a minute, I still have some questions for…" she started to say
But she was cut short when RPM then flipped over her and landed on the seat of a flame red Harley Davidson. Then with a simple turn of the handle he then sped down the street, leaving a very annoyed Rias and a star struck Issei.
"Sweet Ride!" he shouted while Rias just looked on in annoyance and confusion as thoughts swirled around in her head.
'So another piece is added to the board and it's one I know nothing about…the good news he doesn't seem to be an enemy since he fought the fallen angel off but how does he know about them and not mention he seemed to know me…who is this 'Power Ranger' and why is he here'.
"Um, Miss Rias" Issei said snapping her from her thoughts and turning to the confused boy, "what exactly is going on?" he asked causing her to sigh
'And now I have this to deal with…well as they say, when life gives you lemons' she said as started to lead the boy away from the park.

Back on the road, RPM red was zooming down the road checking around to see if anyone was following him. Once he saw no one he then pulled out what looked like a cell phone out his left pouch, with the same logo on his belt buckle, and flipped it open.
"Power Down"
He then pressed a large button on the device causing his costume to disappear in a flash, revealing none other than Leon Ford himself. He then turned into a driveway leading to his and his friend's apartment until opening the garage door and pulling his bike inside. Once in he then turned it off and dismounted it before heading back inside just to see his two other friends at the dining room counter enjoying some Japanese take-out.
"Welcome back dude, saved you some" Michael said pushing a box over to his seat at the counter.
"Thanks man" Leon answered as he sat down to eat
Then just as he sat down to eat, Kuro then jumped into his lap and nestled into his lap making him smile and pet her.
"So…did you do it?" Casey asked which Leon nodded
"Yep, Issei is saved and the Crow got the beating of a lifetime" Leon replied forming a smirk on his face
He then noticed there third friend was missing from the table which confused him.
"Where's Arron?" Leon asked
"He's staking out the ORC, figuring out what's going to happen now" Michael replied
"Makes sense, after all we changed a crucial point in the show which means whatever happens from now on it's up in the air" Leon said as everyone nodded in agreement
Then everyone then let out a yawn, signifying how tired everyone was. So after cleaning up their mess everyone went to bed all be it with one single thought in their heads.
"Let's see what tomorrow has for us."
HAHA, two chapters "practically" back to back! And yes I know that Issei's death basically triggers like everything in DXD but don't worry there's method to my madness. So anyway I hope you all enjoyed and I will see you call next time.
