Butch and Boomer decide to start investigating Brick's room to see if they can find any clues on his whereabouts. The first thing they found is a pink shirt in the exact shade of Blossom's signature color tucked away in the bottom drawer of Brick's dresser.

"See? I knew something was going on with that puff. Fuck!" Butch yells, throwing the shirt to the ground. "We don't know that for sure, Butch." Boomer says, staring at the discarded shirt. "Don't be so naive Boomer. You know exactly how Brick was acting. Especially when he didn't want to cause any trouble and started acting all weird." Butch says in annoyance with Boomer.

Boomer can't deny this. Brick would always brush them off when they wanted to cause some mayhem in town. He doesn't really remember the last time they had caused any trouble. Besides yesterday with their little run in with Blossom.

Butch continues to go through Brick's drawers pulling them one by one and taking all contents out making an absolute mess. Finding nothing else in the dresser, he moves on to the closet.

Boomer decides to start helping or he will never hear the end of it from Butch. He moves to Brick's desk and starts pulling the drawers out. He at least is trying to be careful and not mess up Brick's stuff too much. Then he will never hear the end of it from Brick.

He starts pulling stuff out not really finding anything of use. Once he gets to one of the bigger drawers, he notices that there is a false bottom.

Boomer starts to contemplate his options. He could invade Brick's privacy and snoop in whatever he is hiding and maybe find a clue or find something that Brick just wanted to keep private. He looks behind his back at Butch to see him still throwing things around from Brick's closet.

He decides that he will look and if it's nothing of importance then he won't get Butch involved.

He quietly pulls the wood out and finds a small stack of opened letters. He checks again on Butch seeing him open random boxes from the top shelves. He carefully picks the top one up and sees that there is no sender address. Just their address with Brick's name on it written in a very dark red.

Boomer carefully pulls the letter out from the envelope and reads it over. Each sentence more confusing than the last. He sees the date and it was the day Brick had gone missing. He pulls out the rest of the stack and starts from the beginning. Reading over all the letters the last one makes more sense, but still confusing all the same.

All he knows for sure that Brick is in some deep shit.

"Hey Butch, you're gonna want to take a look at this."

As usual, Blossom has her communicator fully charged and ready at a moment's notice. However, she checks it every five minutes waiting for anything concerning the RRB. The few times it has gone off in the past few days was just petty crimes. She made sure to take some extra rounds around Townsville for any inkling of Brick, but always coming up short.

Days have passed by since her encounter with the boys. She wonders if they actually believed her when she said that she would help. They have no reason to trust her. She knows this.

So when her communicator finally goes off indicating the Ruffs, she almost leaps for joy. The problem is her sisters are there when the communicator goes off.

"What is it?" Bubbles asks, looking up from her homework. "Yeah, what is it? I need a break from these books." Buttercup says standing up from the table to go slip on her shoes.

Blossom suddenly feels nervous. They have never not gone together to a crime scene, besides the one time with the boys.

"Uh, nothing. This stupid communicator seems to be broken. It has been going off randomly lately. I need to have it checked out." She says blocking off the notification. She sends a memo to the mayor's office that they are on their way.

"Broken? You never break anything." Buttercup says, trying to catch a look at the communicator. "Yeah, I don't know. I'm done with my homework so I am going to take it up to the mayor's office and see if they can fix it." Blossom says. Stuffing the communicator into her pocket. Hoping that they will buy it.

"Okay, we will come with you. It's about time Buttercup and I get a replacement." Bubbles says shutting her textbook.

"No! It's fine. You two have a lot of homework. I will go and have them give me the replacements." Blossom says in a burst. Both her sisters give her a questioning look. "Are you sure? I don't think it will take long if we all go." Bubbles says.

"Yes I'm sure." Blossom says standing up from her spot at the table.

"Alright, if you say so." Buttercup says.

"I'll be back soon." Blossom says leaving the house quickly.

More lies that can be added to Blossom's list. More to come once she figures out what to tell them about their replacement communicators. She will just have to cross that bridge when she gets there.

She goes to an abandoned construction site that the communicator indicated the trouble to be at. When she arrives, she sees them just destroying stuff. Better than them stealing or causing distress to citizens she supposes.

"Hey!" She shouts at them, grabbing their attention. "About time you showed up." Butch says. Dropping a large piece of metal to the ground and dusting off his hands.

Blossom lands in front of him and Boomer coming over soon after.

"So what did you find?" Blossom asks. Getting straight to the point.

"Now hold your horses Pink, you got some explaining to do." Butch says, indicating to Boomer. Boomer quickly takes off his backpack and pulls out a pink shirt. The one she had let Brick use the last time she had seen him.

Lying right now doesn't seem like a good idea if they actually know something about Brick.

"Look. Brick would come see me late at nigh-"

"See! I told you! You owe me twenty bucks!" Boomer exclaims at Butch.

"Damn. I didn't think Brick would get involved with you, and that you would let him. That dog." Butch says while crossing his arms. Slightly amused.

"What? No! It's not like that!" Blossom says in shock at what they are insinuating. Face turning as red as a tomato.

"Then what's it like, Pink?" Butch asks.

She frowns at what seems to be a permanent nickname.

"He would show up to my house severely injured, and he knew that I have a stock of Chemical X. He just needed help, that's all." Blossom says, hoping to get their heads out of the gutter.

"And you didn't think to tell us that a few days ago?" Butch says with anger.

"I don't know what he has and hasn't told you." She says defensively.

"He hasn't told us anything. Just not to worry about him." Boomer says.

"Did he say how he got hurt?" Butch asks.

"No. He would never tell me what was going on." She answers honestly. "Now, did you find anything besides the shirt?"

"Yeah, we found these letters a few days ago." Butch says while Boomer takes them out.

"A few days ago?! Why didn't you call me sooner?" Blossom exclaims. "I don't think you're in a position to be doing all that." Butch says with a glare.

"Fine." She says. Glaring right back at him.

Boomer hands the letters over explaining that they are in order.

Blossom takes her time reading them. Threats being made at Brick and his brothers, but it is unclear from who it's from.

The only thing that is clear is that Brick signed up for something that he didn't want to partake in.

The last line of the last letter sends chills down her spine. How do they know?
