It such a strange feeling to him, waking up with hardly a need to. He didn't need to piss, didn't want any food surprisingly, he wanted to see her. What an odd thing to want another person. He obviously had friends, wanted people to join his crew, but this, this was different. He couldn't put his finger on it, but he knew she was it, he wanted to be with her, a lot. Even hanging with the boys he craved that bit of emotion that she expressed with him.

God he needed her and he couldn't explain why. So instead of his usual creeping around, he practically speeded down the long hallway to the deck. Standing outside he hadn't seen her yet. He wasn't complaining, obviously he wanted her to take her time, be here when she wanted to be. He knew it wouldn't be fun is she wasn't in the mood for it. Thankfully all that rain had dried leaving him with the clear starry sky, like a bunch of small holes poked through fabric with someone shining a light on the other side.

He walked up to the Merrys head, leaning against the neck of the goat that headed their boat. He actually had a dream about her. It wasn't like her nightmare, but he'd call it the weirdest thing ever. It would be so unlike her to have his excitement for anything, so having a dream where she had a rubber body like his? It felt so out of place, but it was fun to him, he'd call that a good dream if it wasn't for the fact I'd never happen. He suddenly asked himself, why he'd dream about her?

And just as he asked he heard footsteps behind him, faint, tiptoes. Weirdly enough he only started hearing them when they got close, so to turn around and unintentionally bump his head against them. He wasn't all that surprised but they, they yelped and staggered back before he caught their arm before they fell.

"Almost got me, won't work this time."

She whined rubbing her forehead mentally thanking him for being rubber.

"You could've pretended to make me feel better."

She groaned as he helped her back to her feet. He genuinely chuckled, making her blush faintly.

"So, how's your night going?"

He asked, she looked at his face for a moment before glancing away anxiously.

"It was fine, till you caught me. You getting scared was gonna make my night."

"You wanna try again?"

"Moments passed. Besides, you look like your night has been made, anything good happen? Well… that I don't know about?"

"It's just really fun to talk with you."

They both exchanged glances again, seeing her look at him so intently made him sweat a little.

"Something wrong?"

"You got this… really charming grin on your face…"

He glanced away for a moment before feeling his face, yea he's smiling but, would he call it charming?

"Should I not?"

"You can, I just wanna know why? Were you looking forward to this that much?"

She asked with a cocky grin. He felt a bit flustered at her statement and stuck his hands in his pocket.

"Well… I mean… I've gotten to know you more…"

"Do you like that? Knowing more about me?"

He looked back at her seeing her stare genuinely intrigued by him. His heart started to race at this, he had no other words to describe how he felt. Just the way she looked at him, it felt…

"Yea."

He murmured bashfully rubbing his upper arm.

"Your really… interesting… and… fun to be around."

He said hesitantly trying to think of proper wording. The dead moment of silence broke him a little, but she giggled, giving him the cutest smile he'd seen from her.

"I gotta say, you kinda won me over with that. Its like you to say that but also very different in a way."

He whined scratching his head.

"But since your so curious~ I'll answer… certain questions if you have any."

She explained, he tilted his head confused, yea he liked when she brought up her likes and dislikes, maybe some history, but now just being blatant about it, felt off.

"Okay… what's your favorite flower?"

She rose a brow curiously.

"Hmm.. I love Sunflowers."

He made a mental note of that.

"What about weather? Being smart with weather you must have a favorite."

"I love the sun, a nice sunny day just feels right."

He felt similarly, sun just made it so much easier to do things.

"To be honest I… thought you'd be asking other things."

"Why?"

"Well… I mean…"

"As much as I like hearing about how you were, I really like you now."

She made a short chuckle and sighed, twirling a long strand of hair around her finger.

"I don't know what I expected you to ask. I keep forgetting your so much better than that…"

"Better than what? Did you want me to ask something?"

"No, it's nothing."

He was glad to hear that, he can kinda surmise what she was talking about, but all the same.

"You know… now that I think about it. I don't know much about our wonderful Captain."

"Really?"

"You hardly talk about yourself. Which is weird cause you always talk about what you want."

"Oh. Well, it's not that big a deal."

"Is it not? Well how am I suppose to trust you if I don't know how you were before?"

"Well… I trust you. And I don't know how you were before."

She pouted, leaning against the mast.

"As foolish as that is… I'm thankful."

"I mean, your my navigator. Your the best navigator. I couldn't ask for anyone better in your place."

She whimpered curling her lip between her teeth as she blushed.

"You compliment me way too much…"

"Would you rather I not."

"You just spoil me too much. Even though I love it…"

She murmured the last bit, but he heard it, that word, it described literally every feeling he had. It was every word combined to describe her, and how he felt about her. His jaw went slack for a moment before let out a reliving sigh.

"You love it when I spoil you?"

The world froze after he spoke. She looked to him in shock as he felt a sudden rush course through his veins. So many sirens went off in his head he didn't know if it was good or bad.

She purred quietly, lowering her head as she rubbed her wrist, brushing her legs against each other. Looking back up at him with a weirdly sensual expression.

"Yea…"

He gulped, and for some god forsaken reason he forgot what he said. He felt his heart racing, thudding, drumming in his chest, he could swear she heard it. He took deep breaths and leaned on the mast in front of her. Both standing so close, their eyes linked in a firm stare. He didn't know what happened, everything told him to do something, his nerves screamed for contact with her pretty skin.

He hesitantly moved his hand closest to the mast to hers, his fingers tap onto hers startling them both. She made a little mewl as she did the same, reaching her hand out to his but this time they connected. Her fingers pressed into his, his curled taking her finger in his. She huffed as he did, their fingers slowly intertwining like the formation of a web. Warm. Warm was all he felt, he forgot to think, forgot to remember, forgot to hold back.

As their hands finally held one another he brought another hand to her chin hearing a faint gasp from her pursed lips. He caresses her cheek with his thumb, his eyes drinking in her features for seemingly the first time ever.

"Your gorgeous."

Her eyes widened, before before becoming lidded and hazy as she leaned closer. He brought their connected hand up to his face, and kissed her knuckle before lowering it again, he leaned so close their noses touched hearing a shuddering moan creep from her lips. He froze at that. He blinked a few times before sighing.

"Am… I…"

As his grip loosened on her hand she swiftly pulled back turning to face away from him as she stood a few feet away. It hurt. And with a shuddering gasp she spoke.

"Maybe… we should call it a night…"

The words ripped his heart in half, he groaned painfully as he scratched his head.

"Ok."

A moment of silence laid still between them. It made him sick to his stomach, but he realized he might've went too far.

"We'll meet up tomorrow night. Ok?"

She said, voice as blunt as a bat, the tone smashing into his ear.

"Yea."

"Goodnight."

She spoke before exiting, leaving down the hall they came from. Now it was just him, he pressed his bare back against the railing and slid down it, sitting. He gripped his hair with such force he threatened to pull it out. He growled to himself before releasing, letting out a small whine as he rubbed his face. He realized he messed up.
