As his work day continued on, Griphook thought about his newest responsibility. The Potter accounts would have to be gone over carefully to make sure nothing was amiss. Any moneies that had been allocated to the muggles would have to be reapprpriated. And a complete inventory drawn up of all of the assets the boy owned. Griphook had been overseeing the accounts for years, but now as the heir's guardian he would need to keep a closer watch. And of course document anything he spent in the boy's name or for his upkeep.

Since he intended to raise the child as his own he should perhaps give him a goblin name. That would also make it easier to keep him hidden from his enemies. He would consult with his mate and think on it.

At the end of his shift Griphook went home to find his home in its customary quiet peace. Harry was playing with the young of Griphook's own young, and they seemed to be doing fine together. Supper was served, after which Griphook spoke to his mate in his den.

"Young Potter seems to be fitting in with our brood well enough. I saw the report from our healers. Evil magic that, and something I think we've not seen the last of. Has he said anything about the humans who left him out in the wild?"

"No, he won't speak of them at all. And he was very keen to help me clean, or cook, or anything else I might want him to do. Whoever they were they must have treated him like a house elf. A badly used one at that. The only difficulty I had was when I showed him where he will sleep. He expected to be shut up into a cupboard. I gave him a nightshirt and set out some of our little ones clothes for him, but he'll need his own things when we can get to the shops."

"What do you think of giving him a goblin name? I was thinking of something like Blood Kind."

"A new name seems like a wise precaution. I think Blood Kind will do fine. He will be a fine addition to our home."
