"One day after the Bloodbender, hama had been locked away for her crimes... Team Avatar had continued their plans to meet at the rendezvous point for the rebel's invasion."

The invasion on the Fire Nation was four days away Team Avatar had landed on an island where a big flcok of Koala sheep had rested. The time was late as the sky was completely dark. A few clouds hovered thousands of feet within the sky. Team Avatar had just stood and looked at the view.

"This is it. The official rendezvous point for the invasion force." Sokka said as he held a map in his hands.

Zuko had whom had stood close next to Sokka decided to peak at the map. His red Fire Nation hawk, Summer rested its talons on Zuko's shoulders without hurting him.

"How did you manage to find this place, Sokka?" Toph asked.

"Before we split up, my dad and I found this island on a map. It's uninhabited and the harbor surrounded by cliffs seemed like the perfect secluded place." Sokka had explained.

Team Avatar had set up camp and rested for the night. They had spent hours travelling to the secluded island and decided to call it a night.

"Smart. I never even considered thinking about this island as a getaway, before." Zuko said as he prepared his sleeping back and lied it down on the ground.

Katara had sat on a rock and combed her long dark brown hair. "Nice choice, Sokka. And we're here four days ahead of schedule."

"Yep." Sokka lied down on top of his sleeping bag, which was lied on the ground.

As Aang lied on the grassy ground, he couldn't help but gasp and jump a yard high in the air. "Wait, the Invasion's in four days?" He turned his head left and right and his mind drowned in worry.

Sokka covered his mouth with his right hand and yawned. "Whatever, that's like four days from now. Let's just calm down, and..." Sokka had quickly fallen asleep and he begun to snore.

"Sokka's got the right idea, Aang." Katara said.

"That's right." Zuko said, which Katara and Aang's attention. "We're all ahead of schedule and ready to face my father. So, the best thing we can do now is get plenty of rest." Zuko said as he turned his head while resting in his sleeping bag. Zuko's hawk, Summer had squawked a bit as it rested on top of Zuko's sleeping bag.

"Um... okay." Aang said with worry in his voice as he watched Zuko fall asleep. He then lied on the ground after watching Katara lie on her sleeping bag. 'Okay. The Invasion will be in four days from now...' Aang thought as he slowly begun to drift in his sleep.

The Next Morning...

The entire group had awakened when they heard a noise but didn't know what it was or where it was coming from. Sokka, Zuko and Katara had all sat up on their knees and looked to see Zuko staring at Aang, whom was jabbing a thick tree, over and over again.

"What are you doing?" Zuko asked.

"I'm training! I got a lot more skills to refine if I'm gonna face Ozai!" Aang stated as he kept jabbing the thick tree.

"How long have you been up?" Katara asked Aang.

"Four hours." Aang said, then decided to move around the thick tree in a circle. Delivering hard kicks and punches. He continued this routine for another minute, until he begun to tire and pant. His face begun to sweat and sweat.

"You know, there is something called Over training." Katara said.

"No time! I must prepare myself to face Fire Lord Ozai!" Aang said.

Zuko then looked over at Sokka. "Has Aang ever trained in physical combat?"

Sokka shook his head no.

Aang then gave the thick tree a hard punch with his right arm, which sends his body in shock and causes him to fall down on the ground.

Aang's friends suddenly looked at him, like he was losing his mind a bit.

"Hey, Aang. Buddy. I think you're overdoing it a bit." Sokka said as he slightly narrowed his head to the left.

Aang had quickly jumped on his feet. "You don't get it!" Aang had begun circling around Katara in an Airbender stance. "My form is bad. I'm sloppy. And I still don't know any form of Firebending. Not even the basics."

Sokka suddenly looked at Zuko.

"What?" Zuko asked when he saw Sokka look at him.

Sokka shrugged his shoulders. "Ah, nothing."

Katara quickly quickly grabbed Aang's hand and removed it from her face.

"That's okay, Aang. The eclipse will block all Firebending, anyway. You don't need to know it." Sokka said as he lied down on his back and looked at the map.

"Um... yes, he does! He's the Avatar!" Zuko said as he walked toward Sokka and stood over him. His shadow provided Sokka a bit of shade. "What if things went south during the invasion and Aang learns that he needs Firebending?"

"Who knows? As long as everything goes to plan, we will be fine. Also, it's a stupid element." Sokka said.

Zuko quickly grabbed Sokka's map from Sokka's hands.

"Hey, I-" Sokka stopped himself as he saw Zuko crossing his arms and gleaming down at him. Sokka imagined Zuko the size of a mountian glaring. "I mean... it's not stupid if you think it's not. Heh." Sokka chuckled and tugged on his own neck collar, embarrassingly. His face begun to sweat.

After a moment, Zuko sighed.

"Even if Firebending is not a stupid element, I still have to work on everything else. I'm gonna spend the whole day training." Aang bowed his head to all of his friends and moved his arms in an attempt to create an air scooter.

"Wait."

"Hm?" Aang had suddenly stopped moving his arms, which caused the big sphere of air to vanish from thin air.

"You might need my help with your training." Zuko said, halting Aang from leaving their sight.

"Really? Are you gonna teach me something I never learned before?" Aang asked Zuko.

Zuko had nodded.

Katara and Sokka looked at each other as they heard Zuko. Toph just sat on the grassy and picked her nose without a care in the world.

A Few Minutes Later...

Aang and Zuko had stood in a secluded area on the island surrounded by nothing but grass. There were no Koala sheep around. The only creatures there to watch were Aang's flying lemur, Momo and Zuko's Fire Nation messenger hawk, Summer.

"Okay. I know for the past few days that I taught you the basic Firebending drills. But before we face my father during the invasion... there's one technique you need to know before facing him How to redirect lightning." Zuko said as he raised his left index finger in front of Aang's face.

Aang grinned.

Zuko had begun to point his left arm out to the left and begun teaching Aang the lightning redirection process. "If you let the energy in your own body flow, the lightning will follow it. You turn your opponents energy against them." Zuko stated.

"That's like Waterbending!" Aang stated.

"Exactly. My uncle invented this technique himself, by studying the Waterbenders." Zuko said.

Aang then mimicked Zuko's lightning redirection movements. "So, have you ever redirected lightning, before?" Aang asked.

"No. At least, not yet. I learned this technique from when my uncle recovered from that battle." Zuko said.

"That battle? Aang thought, then remembered when he saw Iroh before Ba Sing Se. "Oh, you mean when... I lead you and your sister to that abandoned town?" Aang asked.

"Yes." Zuko answered. "I even tried to generate lightning, myself."

'How did it go?" Aang asked.

"Not so good." Zuko replied. "Whenever I try to generate lightning on my own, just like my uncle and Azula... it would always backfire."

"Backfire how?" Aang asked.

"It would explode in my face. Literally." Zuko explained, which made Aang gasp.

Flashback

Zuko had groaned in pain after being sent flying back by an attempt to generate and use lightning. He and Iroh were inside the middle of nowhere-just kilometers away from an abandoned town in the Earth Kingdom.

"Why can't I do it? Instead of lightning, it always explode in my face! Like everything always does..." Zuko yelled.

End Flashback

"Wait, lightning can do that?" Aang asked in shock.

"Yes. My uncle told me that if I want to master lightning... then I must let go of all turmoils inside me." Zuko had stated.

"Turmoils?"

"Yes. You know, mental blockages. My uncle told me that I must let go of my feelings of shame." Zuko stated.

"So, you were able to let go of all your turmoils, then?" Aang asked, hoping that Zuko had.

"Maybe. But we'll never know until I try to generate lightning again." Zuko said.

Aang happily sighed. "I'm glad you're teaching me this, Zuko."

"Me too. But... there's a reason why I'm teaching you how to redirect lightning. Potentially even generate lightning."

Aang's normal smile turned to a mild smile. "Why?"

"Not only does my uncle and Azula know how to generate lightning... but there's a high possibility that my father can use lightning as well." Zuko had assumed.

"H-how do you know that?" Aang asked.

"Because, my father is the Fire Lord. And he's the one who probably taught Azula how to use lightning in the first place." Zuko said.

Aang gasped, then thought of the moment when he was struck by lightning from behind, while in Ba Sing Se. That incident made him stop moving his arms and pause. His mouth hung halfway.

Zuko saw a look of shock on Aang's face. "What's wrong?"

Aang did not respond when Zuko asked for a moment.

Zuko stared at Aang for a moment and thought of something. He also noticed that Aang stopped moving his arms. "You're thinking of that day, aren't you?"

Aang nodded. "Yeah... ever since your sister struck me, I've felt some kind blockage in my own body. Like, I try to enter the Avatar State again, but something's just preventing me from doing it."

Zuko stared at Aang. "I see."

Three Days Later...

"And so, for the next few days until the night before the invasion... Zuko had continued to teach Aang the drills of Firebending and lightning redirection."

The night before the invasion was young and less than invasion on the Fire Nation was less than nine hours away. The entire group, excluding Aang had decided to get some sleep so that they could physically and mentally prepare themselves for the Day of Black Sun.

Toph slept on her back with her feet up in the air. Appa slept on all six of his legs. Momo had slept on top of Appa's head. Katara, Sokka and Zuko had all slept in sleeping bags. And last but not least... Aang was lying on the ground, but he was not sleeping. He stared at the night sky and thought of the invasion in peace. His eyes wondered as he saw a shooting star fly across the sky and it made him think of something.

"You must defeat Fire Lord Ozai, before Sozin's Comet arrives."

Avatar Roku's words had echoed within his mind as he continued to stare at the night sky. 'I will, Avatar Roku. And When I do, the war will be over.' Aang had thought to himself as he then lied on his left side and begun to fall asleep in peace.
