October 1, s.h. 1055, Castle Blade, Planet TK:4201
Planet TK:4201 is a strange icy planet where few lifeforms can survive and no civilization has ever been formed. At the foor of the Lessier Mountains besides a massive field of pikes where enemies of the Reibai during the magical girl war were impaled and left to freeze to death even to this day. A large Japanese style manor at the foot of a mountain range which is connected by underground channels to the mountain range which is dotted with underground laboratories, ship yards, and even a second generation Pandora tower. Which not only can stabilize and control an entire planet by itself. But also serves as a massive fully functioning space elevator.
Inside one of these facilities a certain masked man and his digital sidekick are working on a certain experiment. "So this is it?" Monika remarks as she looks at the data. "You do know that the last dozen or so attempts all failed." Kagemusha remarks. "Perhaps, but we still need to keep trying. Besides project kaijin is a necessary part of our future endeavors. After all the Far off expeditionary force needs soldiers for the Incubator hunts." Monika remarks with a doubtful tone. "Do you really think that there are still incubators out there? We have been hunting down remnants for over a 1000 years now." Kagemusha simply stated with grim determination. "They are. And as long as as Kyubey is on the lam. They will continue to be a threat. As long as there is a single Straybow alive. There will never be peace. And as long as a single Incubator lives. Project Elpis will be in eternal danger of being unraveled." "Speaking from experience, huh sempai?"
As the last calculations are made and the datamaterial is injected into the stasis pod as the duo begin the activation process. As the pod begins to rumble and Monika confirms that everything is ready and that the kaijin's activation process is stable. With the pod opening shooting out steam all over the room. "It's alive! It's alive! I always wanted to say that!" Kagemusha remarks as the monster wakes up from the pod. With the insect like creature roaring as he finds his bearing.
The creature being Dandy in his kaijin form. A giant insect like monster that is a cross between a humanoid, a stag beetle, and a moth. Which looks at the two scientists and points at Kagemusha asking. "Mama?" Which causes Monika to break out in laughter. "Mama?! Mama Tsurugi?!" An annoyed Kagemusha bonks Monika in the head remarking. "You do understand that a kaijin starts off as a blank slate." Monika muses. "So he's like a robot, fresh out of the line?" "Correct!" Dandy then points at Monika and says. "Dinner?" Which causes the AI to freak out while Kagemusha says. "Sure, why not?" Causing the new monster to chase Monika into the hallways while Kagemusha follows with a camera to collect data with a gleeful snicker.
Arc... Gattai... Systems designed to surpass Gods and devils. Originally the Arc system was meant to stand alone as the key to defeating the Great Calamity. But an act of betrayal made this impossible. instead. By combining using forms known as machines multiple drivers could evolve and become a more powerful giant. This traitor due to their actions has had their name stripped from history and speaking about them is a taboo topic around the populace. In order to compensate the art of Gattai was developed.
It is now the year 8932 of the second history. And thanks to this advancements made many years ago. The galaxy is heading towards a period of revolution. A new era has come. And what this new era entails will soon be made clear.
Chapter 28: Adventures in comaland
Jul 11 s.h. 8932, Castle Acorn's medical wing
After the attack on Green Hills. The town is in ruins with the castle being one of the few places that are still relatively intact. Forcing the people that didn't manage to evacuate in time to take refuge in said castle as a refugee camp in formed in the premises. Officer John Wachowski is helping a truck convoy enter and drop their supplies at the camp. With several guards aided by Gemerl carrying the supplies while Vanilla the Rabbit is in the kitchen doing her best to keep everyone fed.
Inside the castle several characters most notably Sonic the hedgehog have been placed in stasis pods to heal their wounds. These chambers use advanced stem cell regeneration technology alongside medical nanomachines to heal injuries and restore lost body parts. With Princess Sally Acorn and King Nigel Acorn looking at the pods holding the injured in battle. "I can't believe that Naugus actually helped us." Sally remarks to her father as the troll mage is also in a pod healing his lost hand. "Same here." Nigel replied. "So how is the young miss?" Nicole appears next to the duo reporting. "Madoka is still locked up in her room. And we have guards patrolling the entire castle looking for Omochao. With GUN Beetles keeping a lookout outside as well. And then there's Antoine. It seems he wishes to resign the guard." Both royals are shocked to hear that. With Nigel remarking. "Can I talk to him personally? Sally dear keep a look out on the pods." "Yes, father." Nigel then leaves with Nicole as Sally is joined by Amy who is still upset over what happened. As the two look after the hedgehog that is sealed in medical stasis.
At that time wherever the sodom cult was hiding
"Sodom, sodom, sodom, sodomy. Sodom, sodom, sodom sodomy. Sodom, sodom, sodom, sodomize." A familiar chant echoes thru the chamber where a rebuilt coffin like device is being held when another voice tells the cultists to cut it out as we find Barragan Natch talking to Alex Kidd as he prepares another dive attempt. "All right, All right. Now Alex you must succeed in your mission this time. We have lost all contact with Mobius and we fear that this will be the last chance to silence the rebels before they attempt a revolt. I've spent millennia usurping absolute power. And I refuse to be overthrown like the Kremlin." Alex Kidd simply points out the obvious solution asking. "So, why don't you just glass Mobius? I mean all you need is a couple of Star Destroyers to barrage the planet. And boom! No more rebels." The old man simply backs off in frustration yelling. "If I could get away with genocide. I would have done it centuries ago! That bitch Kagami Ichijin hid the Chaos Emeralds inside the towers." Alex looks on in confusion as Barragan continues his exposition. "The Chaos Emeralds are gems that can create miracles. And its even rumored that they once destroyed and recreated the multiverse. Knowing that whore she has some sort of backup plan that could be used to end my rule somehow." Alex merely comments. "Isn't that a ridiculously based and uninformed assumption?" "I'm a politician! Politicians have never cared about facts! If I say that the sky is purple with green polka dots. Then it damn well is! And if anyone says otherwise they get executed! Now get in the damn coffin thing you little twerp!"
Alex simply complies but not before stating. "You do know that once Sonic is dead. I'm going after you next." As the device activates and the Sodom priests begin chanting anew. Barragan calmed himself down reminding himself. "What do I have to worry about? I am god! And a man! That makes me superior to any woman! I don't have to worry since as god the universe bends to every whim."
Somewhere...
Sonic the hedgehog finds himself wandering around a strange featureless abyss with random images of his life crossing around him. "Well this is some new ass shit." The floating head of Goro Majima remarks as he floats around the annoyed blue hedgehog. "Okay seriously. It's already bad enough that i'm having a delusional coma. But do you have to here Majima?" The one eyed head merely scoffs at the remark stating. "My series has sold 19.8 million units. And has constantly been receiving over 70% percents reviews and rising since it's inception. And when was the last time Sonic the hedgehog had a decent game? You should be thanking me blue boy. You should be down on your knees, kissing my sexy ass. And worshiping the fact that I Goro Majima-sama have decided to grace your failure of a life with a cameo appearance." Sonic slaps the Yakuza's head away in annoyance remarking. "Shouldn't you be bothering Kiryu or beating your wife or something?" Goro merely snarks back. "Unlike you guys I can gun down everyone in my path including zombies. And EVERYONE loves me for it!"
As the two trade walk along trading barbs at each other Alex Kidd looks on in anger while reminiscing the past. He especially focus on Sonic thinking. "Why him? Why does he get to endure while i'm forgotten?" Flashing back to the day when he was told that he was being fired and replaced as Sega's mascot by Sonic. He still remembers the day when he saw him for the first time. A hyperactive little usurper in his eyes. And thinking that Mario would never be disrespected like that. And then Alex was forced to work as a store clerk for years. And then came the fall of Sega. In order for the company to make ends meet. He was sold to the DOGMA corporation for 1000 yen. Where he was broken and rebuilt as the assassin that he is now.
"Just like a cobra I had to shed my skin to find my true power. Strike first! Strike hard! Show no mercy!" Alex screams as the attempts to drop kick Sonic in an ambush. Only for Sonic to realize and kick him into the ground in a manner not unlike the Karate Kid. A frustrated Sonic remarks. "What are you doing here?!" With a frustrated Alex trying to retreat only to have his left hand bit by Goro Majima's floating head. Causing the ape creature to scream in pain and jump around the void trying to get Goro to let go. After time passes and Goro lets go he angrily points at Sonic and states. "You took my job!" Who is simply confused about it all. Then tries to punch and kick Sonic which the latter easily dodges in a casual and very bored manner. Until Alex collapses and starts crying. "Why? I'm supposed to be Sega's answer to Mario. Why can't I beat you?!" Goro offhandedly remarks that maybe its because of 30 years of power creep. Which causes Alex to punch Goro in frustration and leave the others alone.
Castle Acorn outskirts
King Nigel finally found Antoine who was currently in a "fight" with Shortfuse. Antoine is futilely trying to punch Shortfuse in the face only for the Metagal armor to hurt the coyote instead. While the squirrel is trying to talk him down. "What is going on here?!" An upset King Nigel yells at the two with Shortfuse remarking. "Thank god! Your majesty can you get this guy to calm down before he shatters his fists?" "Shut up!" Antoine screams crying in grief. "You're fists are bleeding! Chill out dude!" Antoine then shuts down. Remaining limp and quiet as Nigel holds Antoine's hands and begins to speak. "Look Antoine. I know that you're grieving about Bunnie's death." Antoine merely states. "I'm leaving. I can't stay here anymore. Goodbye..." Antoine then leaves the camp in a seeming daze leaving everyone in shock. Shortfuse merely states. "Wow, just wow." While Nigel was more understanding. "I guess I should be shocked. But I'm not. Antoine used to be a blowhard and a coward until he fell in love with Bunnie. He even hit on my daughter." Shortfuse just looks on in silent amazement at the revelation.
Inside Sonic's mind
Sonic continues his journey to the center of his mind. Whom alongside Goro's floating head is climbing a pyramid made of giant chili dogs. "Damn boy! How do you not get cardio?" Goro comments as he looks at the literal mountains of chili dogs around him. Sonic merely replies. "You'd be surprised how running at supersonic speeds helps with cardio." As the duo reached the top they find themselves in another locale this one frozen in time and greyscale. Sonic recognizes that the duo are in the insides of the death egg. Noticing a that the area has strange black hooded men wandering the place alongside the typical badnik hordes.
Later on the two find Dr. Eggman tinkering with what seems to be a robot version of Sally. As Sonic looks at the frozen Metal Sally a series of visions flash before the blue blur. Sonic finds himself on a volcanic base on the Lost Hex. A strange land that lies hidden on the planet's lower orbit composed of hexagons. Where he and Tails were fighting Eggman and one of his many, many, giant robots being flat on the ground. As the mech was destroyed by a strange flash of purple lightning. Before even more bolts strike the rest of Eggman's equipment. "What's going on Eggman?!" A furious Sonic screams at the doctor who is at an utter panic. "I don't know! This shouldn't be!" A massive dark hole then opens and begins to consume both Sonic's world and the Lost Hex as everything is sucked up into the heavens above. With Sonic desperately trying to keep Tails safe as Eggman and his mech are flung to the hole where they are swallowed alive.
Sonic is forced to run at full tilt as the universe implodes on itself with the hole expanding and consuming the nearby solar system to the point where even the sun itself is swiftly extinguished leaving pure darkness, and still Sonic ran. He ran until the world beneath him gave out and he and Tails held each other's hands as they were also consumed. At the end even the empty space itself is consumed and later the black hole itself. Leaving nothing but an empty endless white abyss.
After the annihilation of the universe. Sonic comes to as a small child in Christmas island. In the middle of a grassy park with several other children playing in the distance. Sonic then leaves motivated by something to leave the island as see the world. Abandoning the orphanage she grew up in and being left for dead after stumbling into a banished Eggman when he wandered into the Dusty Desert.
Sonic snapped out of the vision looking confused and panicked. And waking up to the yelling of Majima. "Hey! Wake up shit head!" "I'm awake dammit!" Reacting so fiercely that even the hardened Yakuza shut up as Sonic recovered. "What, were those memories?" The hedgehog remarked in a panic.
The sewer system beneath Scrap brain zone
Scrap brain zone was once Eggman's main base in South island that was mostly abandoned after Sonic liberated the kingdom. With the remnants being turned into a construction dock. But many parts were sealed off such as the underground sewers. Which are essentially parts of Labyrinth zone an ancient underwater aqueduct full of a strange purple liquid. Metal Sonic is repairing himself while Wendy Witchcart is trying to reactivate an underground escape route. Maw is still stewing alone in a corner in a semi-suicidal behavior.
Metal Sonic having finished his repairs tried to activate his jet engine. But was forced to stop when it stuttered and started to smoke. "Well this is a bust." The metallic hedgehog complained as Witchcart entered the room and was forced to breathe in the smog. "Ugh, seriously! First I get bodied by Walter and now this! At least Thunderbolt is finally dead. So something good came out of this." Metal was shocked to hear that remarking. "Really? What was wrong with her?" "You saw her! She totally wanted to kill us!" Both Metal and Maw looked at Wendy confused. "You don't get it do you guys? He wanted to pull a Yuno Gasai on us three so she could have Eggman all to herself!" Maw questioned. "When you say Yuno Gasai do you mean, bestiality?" The trio react in disgust about the situation with Metal retorting. "Seriously? At least that Princess Elise girl could be considered cute by human standards! But Thunderbolt and Eggman?!" Maw remarks. "Does that mean that Wendy is?" Wendy simply bites back stating. "I'm a demi-human. So it's okay for me to lust after Eggman!" With great pride which led to awkward silence followed by Maw vomiting on himself in disgust.
As time passed the trio continued their discussion with Wendy explaining. "Anyways the tunnels seem to be all functional. If we keep going south we will stumble into one of my old bases. We can use the minecart system to escape back to Iron Dominion territory and use one of the abandoned ships to get back home." The trio headed inside the tunnels. Or Metal and Wendy did. With the former dragging Maw by the collar all along the way. Which is when Wendy stops midway and breaks the silence. "Okay Maw we need to have an intervention." "Right underneath enemy territory while sneaking around under multiple miles of dirt and ocean?" Metal replies which earns him an angry glare by the witch.
"Look, I haven't been around as long as the rest of you. But I do know that Eggman has gotten out of worse spots. I'm sure that he is alright planning some sort of comeback." Wendy's words actually cheer up Maw who ends up thanking her. "I apologize. It seems that my emotions got the better of me." Metal and Wendy are both surprised with Metal even asking why did Maw become an Egg Boss. "Les infantes terribles." Wendy surprised to hear that remarks. "You're from the Acorn kingdom? And you were in the same program that Tails was?" Maw asks. "How do you know him?" To which Wendy remarks. "We have a history together. Just like the Battle Kukku's. I once tried to take over the Kingdom as well. I believe it was way back when Sonic was in the little planet. But Tails ruined my schemes back then. Then Walter showed up and asked for my help in overthrowing Eggman. We lost and I joined you guys after he ran away to save his skin."
Maw then gives his story to the others. "As for myself. I guess I should start with Les infantes terribles. Back during the reign of King Maximilian. The Acorn archipelago was in a bad place. Not only was the Great war going on. But there were many groups that despised the former king. Among them the intellectual class. Which had been oppressed for centuries under the monarchy and its policies. Also due to these policies the kingdom lagged behind militarily, economically, and technologically. So to kill two birds with one stone the government made the Les infantes terribles program. Where they kidnapped orphans, vagabonds, homosexuals, and any other kind of undesirables that society wouldn't miss. In order to turn them into super soldiers." Metal and Wendy were horrified to hear such a thing with Metal remarking. "Was that bastard insane?!" "There I met Tails, Cream, and many others who were experimented on, tortured, and abused to make an army that could defeat GUN." "Doesn't Cream have a mother?" Wendy questions to which Maw reveals that Vanilla was a teacher in the program. She was in charge of the supernatural department and that she adopted Cream after the school was disbanded. Maw also notes that Cream was the only one to come out alive. And even then that's being nice. As she was mentally broken before Vanilla took her in.
"Anyways." Maw continued. "The IFS then interfered and forced a peace treaty. And King Maximilian and defense secretary Jerome Wise both ended up dead apparently at the hands of assassins. Which led King Nigel Acorn and President Michael Kenneth to accept the peace. And the school was closed with the surviving students going their separate ways including myself. Cream eventually recovered and met Cheese. Tails was found by Sonic. And I tried to continue my life until the Westside invasion were I got a bullet to my face thanks to the police." A moment of awkward silence later Maw continues. "That's when I left to join the Eggman Empire where they fixed my jaws thru the robotomy process."
After hearing such stories Metal Sonic could only say. "Well, I was made in a lab. That's it." As the trio went on their way.
Still inside Sonic's mind
We find Sonic in a desert road facing of against Alex Kidd once again. With both parties clashing in the old and broken tar road. "Seriously? Could you be any more annoying?!" Sonic screams as Alex punches him in the face screaming. "You will pay Sonic!" Which knocks the hedgehog a fair distance and did considerable damage to him. "Okay, avoid his big meaty claws." Sonic rockets away avoiding a further beatdown before boosting into his opponent causing Alex to be blasted off into the sky.
After escaping the enemy Sonic stops for a moment when he is met by Majima. Sonic not happy that he followed tried to get Goro to leave only for him to point Sonic to a strange place. "Well i'll give it to you Majima. This is a weird place." The duo looks into the distance seeing a massive and heavily polluted city. With everything in it dedicated to some sort of industry with a large pitch black egg shaped building rising above everything else. "Whoa, what is this dump?" Majima asks while Sonic struggles as something clicks inside his mind. "I know this place. It's called Robotropils. This is where Dr. Robuttnik made shop after overthrowing the King." Majima looks on confused mentioning. :What are you talking about? We both know none of this ever happened." Which confuses Sonic even more as the duo pressed forward. Digging deeper into the mysterious city.
As the duo continues they see phantoms of robotic mobians being used as slave labor. A metal statue of a man being consumed by nuclear fire. Seeing Eggman betray Naugus by sealing him in another dimension. And then they stumble into a strange treadmill device hooked up to six glowing gems. "What is that?" Majima asks to which Sonic remembers. "Eggman called it the ROCC. Wait, the ROCC?" Sonic notes in realization. "Yes, I remember now. The ROCC! I used to live with Eggman at point! But why did I forget something so important for so long?"
"Because it was necessary." A mysterious voice said. "Who's there?" Sonic asked to which the voice remarks. "Really? You really don't recognize your own self?" A green hedgehog that looks just like Sonic with a pair of scars in his chest and wearing black leather clothing akin to a biker gang member. The green hedgehog then continued with. "Then again we stopped the same person a long time ago." The Green hedgehog remarked as he placed a silver crown on his head and adjusted his sunglasses before saying. "Hail to the king baby!" Before attacking Sonic and sucker punching him in the face. Sonic's doppelganger proceed to out speed and outfight his counterpart. Not giving Sonic a chance to get his bearings or counterattack. Until he beats the blue blur into the ground.
The green hedgehog lands next to Sonic and remarks. "Why did you have to live?" As he stomps on Sonic's body with glee. "Especially when you can't access the true limits of your power." Before raising his ki and transforming into a glowing purple form with black eyes and crimson irises. "From Scourge, to Super Scourge." The green hedgehog states before kicking him away and leaving. Vanishing into the mist as Sonic passes out.
Castle Acorn outskirts once more
Gemerl is walking around the camp by himself looking for E-102 Gamma and thinking to himself at the same time. Blaming himself for Cream's death he punches the nearby rubble in frustration. With the strength of his blows dismantling the pile and sending it across the distance. "Dammit! If only I was there! Dammit where are you, you bucket of bolts?!" Gemerl screams to the skies in frustration. "Wow you sure are loud." Monkey Khan replies as he walks over to the mourning Gizoid. "And here I was meditating too. I never did that in the temple." Gemerl still upset tries to shoo away the monkey king whom merely leaps up into a pillar to continue speaking. "Sucks doesn't it? You think you're an invincible bad ass. On top of the world. And then you get dragged down back to the gutter." Gemerl stands down to listen to Monkey Khan. "I used to be the prince of Chu-Nan. My family the Khan family and my entire clan were captured and experimented on by Eggman and used to perfect his robotomy process. In the hopes to create both soldiers and infiltrators, including myself." A remark that surprises Gemerl as Khan looks fully organic. With the Gizoid deducing that he was meant to be an infiltrator. "Then came the war of the houses. And then Conquering Storm died as well." "So what are you going to do now Khan?" Monkey drops down and thinks to himself before responding with. "For now, help with the recovery. And then I have no idea. Chu-Nan is in ruins now thanks to the aliens. So even if I tried to reclaim my birthright. It's not like I can do much by myself."
The two head back to the castle. Unaware that a shadowy figure has been watching them all along. The shadow then gazes towards the castle before slinking away into the ground.
We're still on Namek... Er... Sonic's mind...
Sonic woke up once more and found himself again in the Dusty Desert area. This time under a starry night sky with Alex Kidd and Goro Majima huddled around a tent and campfire eating from a pot of beans and chili. The hedgehogs looks at the two and wonders how a severed head is capable of using a bowl and spoon before getting up and walking to the campfire.
"Hey Sonic want some?" Majima remarks. "After all you could use something to fill your stomach after that green hedgehog kicked the crap out of you." Sonic kicks away Goro's head into the distance before demanding to know what Alex wants with him. To which he answers. "It's simple. Revenge. I am Alex Kidd, the prince of all Radaxians! Once upon a time I was you. The hero who saved the day and sold Sega's hardware. Using my big meaty claws to punch out the evil Janken the great." Sonic questions. "Your bad guy was named after rock paper scissors?" Alex bites back with. "Big talk for a man whose archenemy is Teddy Roosevelt in pajamas!" Sonic merely stares back in annoyance towards the recently revealed prince. "But then you showed up. Sega abandoned us. And our planet is a poverty stricken hellhole. Like if it was Space Mexico. Only devoid of a connected shared identity and history that makes Mexico an actual culture and civilization."
Sonic not amused with Alex's bullshit commented. "So you just left and decided to pick a fight with me out of a bruised ego." Alex lunges his fists at Sonic screaming. "You know nothing! I was forced to sell your worthless schwag for years! And then I was sold for 1000 yen! Then I was broken and rebuilt as a killer! And you never cared!" Sonic kept dodging all of his opponents blows before countering with a brutal half lock suplex followed by series of of spinning kicks that forces Alex Kidd into the ground. The prince merely gets up and tries to continue his fighting. Switching his giant clenched rock fists into smaller and quicker scissor fists. Attempting a flurry of blows on the hypersonic hedgehog which actually manage to put pressure on Sonic. With said blows leaving holes in the ground where they stand and managing to break a mountain in two as Sonic is driven further back.
"That's right! Just keep running you little twerp!" Alex boasts before Sonic manages to counter by slipping into his opponents openings and striking with precision before giving a double palm thrust into Alex's heart that manages to put him down and keep him there as the alien prince clutches his heart in pain. Sonic then tells Alex. "Look, I have no idea what you're talking about! When I regained consciousness I remembered my past. And how the incident with the ROCC left me with memory loss. I also saw the memories of other Sonic's that came before me. But nothing about you." An incredulous Alex screamed that it was impossible. Kicking and screaming on the ground as Sonic turned away and left. "Don't bother me again." The hedgehog remarked as he flew up into a bright white light in the sky above. Leaving Alex Kidd to his breakdown.
"This isn't over! This isn't over! THIS. ISN'T. OVER!"
Sonic continued to rise into the heavens as a familiar group of voices. Those of his friends called on asking him to wake up as the light overtook Sonic allowing him to finally regain consciousness. As he woke up the pod noticed the spike in brain activity and began draining the healing liquid in order to let him leave the pod.
Castle Acorn, Medical wing
"So how does your hand feel Naugus?" Princess Sally asks the troll wizard as he had recently gotten out from his stint in the healing thank. Who merely states. "To think that I would be using technology to save my life. How hard have we Ixis fallen." As he prepares to leave the castle. Sally asks why he even became their enemy to begin with to which he remarks. "Originally we trolls were supposed to be the rulers of this archipelago. As far as I and Wendy were concerned we were merely reclaiming our birthright. And now I find out that it was all a lie. There were never troll ruins underground. In fact everything we know is a lie. Our entire history as a planet and as a people was nothing more than a mere cog in some aliens master plan." Naugus then teleports away leaving Sally with heavy thoughts. When Amy rushes to the squirrel's side with important news.
"Sonic is waking up! Hurry back!"
Sonic the hedgehog finally woke up. Somewhat dazed and noticing that night has fallen but okay as he was surrounded by his friends. As all of them caught up on what is happening. Sonic told everyone about what happened while he was in a coma. How he had regained his lost childhood memories. His past with Eggman. And about his apparent past lives. The latter of which caught Sally and Nigel by surprise as the latter told everyone about what Naugus told him involving the underground.
"So basically our planet is actually the lost planet Earth that has been reformatted somehow." Tails mused. Nicole added that it is possible as the Pandora towers were meant to be an experiment on restoring a lost biosphere back into a habitable world. And after the towers proved successful the IFS used them to heal the damage of the magical girl war. So it is possible that the current people descended from other worlds and renamed the world Mobius. Both to stake claim of the planet and to hide the truth of what happened to the Earth.
"I'm not surprised." Nigel remarked. "If the humans found out the truth. That their home world was here. They could use it as an excuse to invade. After all many of the Neo human nations have been undergoing hard times for many years now."
Sonic asks. "So are we supposed to keep all of this a secret? I mean I know that the Great war was a thing. But would humanity go that far to reclaim a world?" Nigel remarks. "It's not humanity I worry about. It's the IFS. After all they killed my father." Everyone is shocked at this revelation with Sally asking. "Why would they do such a thing?" To which Nigel replied. "The masked man. Tsurugi Kagemusha. He was the one who warned Charles about the roboticizer's flaws. And when my father refused to see reason Kagemusha cut him down as well as his secret service detail. All in the name of maintaining peace according to him." Sonic remarks. "No wonder GUN hates foreigners."
All of a sudden an explosion that rocked the entire castle followed by an emergency alarm blared across the castle. "Red Alert! Omochao has done something with the girl!" Amy shocked realizes. "That girl, do they mean Madoka?" "Great, this day just keeps getting and better!" Sonic remarks as he speeds toward where Madoka was kept with Tails in tow. The King could only look on as the Resistance rallied thinking. "Kagemusha, is this what you warned us about all those years ago?" As the alarm continues to blare all across the castle.
Back at the cult hideout
The panicked Sodom cultists work to wake up Alex from the coffin. The Radaxian then opens his eyes and lifts himself up in a sudden burst before going on a rage fueled rampage with the cultists freaking out and trying to stop him. With his screams echoing all over the facility terrifying the people inside. As the cultists scramble Barragan simply clasps his head in frustration with his thoughts. As he saw all that happened using his third eye.
"So, that rodent has regained the memories of the old world. And Alex has failed again. To be honest why am I spending millions of moolahs in order to create technology to kill people in their sleep? Especially when I have a massive fleet of planet busting spaceships..." Barragan then left to continue his schemes as the cultists are getting beaten up by a child. Complete with colossal background explosions.
Castle Acorn, Madoka Kaname's room
As night fell across the Acorn Archipelago and people went on with their lives. An acorn guard asleep at his post is unaware that a dark shadow slipped past him and thru the cracks of the door he was supposed to be guarding. Madoka's room, where the girl is trying to fall asleep but cannot. As a thunderstorm begins to churn and lightning strikes revealing Omochao who seems normal until he begins speaking. "Hi! I'm Omochao! And i'm here to tell you how you can reunite with your friends." Madoka merely turns her back muttering. "What are you talking about? I already am with my friends."
Purple ooze then spews out of Omochao's shell which coalesces and forms into the shape of a human girl. This shape is still a purple blob. But with long black hair, a grief seed growing from her left arm which is somehow human looking and having a pair of malice eyes in her head. All the while speaking in the voice of a woman. "How rude Madoka. To think that you would forget me again and again and again. Madoka is then forced to look at the fiend which finally causes Madoka to remember everything. As all her past lives and deaths come flashing back to her.
"Homura-chan?" Madoka looks on in terror as Homura closes in. "What's going on? What are you doing here? How are we still alive? I thought Kagemusha killed us both." "Oh no, that's what he wanted everyone to think. Neither of us really died back there. We were forced into stasis and dumped into opposite ends of the universe. Sealed away until the time was right." Homura then uses her human arm to stroke Madoka's head as she looked into the pinkette's eyes. Which were struggling to hold back her tears and fear. "You see those dirty aliens wanted to use us as linchpins. In order to create their paradise. But I won't let them!" Homura then strangles Madoka's neck with her left hand while she forcefully straddles her and pins her down. "You're mine Madoka! Mine and mine alone!" Homura then proceeds to swallow the girl whole before returning to Omochao where she boasts. "Finally! Madoka Kaname is inside of me!" Omochao then releases a burst of energy that blows up a part of castle acorn as the sleeping guard is woken up to the sight of Omochao flying off into the horizon.
The guard activates the alarm and yells to the comms. "Red Alert! Omochao has done something with the girl!"

This chapter was not planned in the original story. But after three episodes of escalating stakes I felt that a breather episode was necessary. Especially since the next chapter will start the seasons endgame where things will get a lot worse before they get better. And preliminary plans for the second season of Sonic Arc are already being made. I also wanted to ensure that the Alex Kidd subplot is pushed forward as the character will be a big deal in later series. The down time turned out to be unexpectedly useful. Since I can finally explain the story behind Tails, Cream, and Maw and are able to set up future plot points.
Stasis pods are not bacta tanks. They are inspired by the regenerative treatments from Gundam 00. It doesn't use special space goo and is arguably superior since bacta doesn't get you your limbs back.
Sonic's and Majima's conversations are both my thoughts on their respective franchises. A critique to the unpleasable Sonic fanbase and their interpretations of what a Sonic game should be. And overall a rant towards my disillusionment towards Sega and gaming in general.
