11. Logon the navi

(Ronal begins the ceremony, chanting in the Na'vi language)

Ronal: (in Na'vi) Today, the child of two worlds will bind his soul with ours. Join us, brothers and sisters, in welcoming Logon as one of our own.

(Jake and Neytiri lay Logon's human body next to his genetically engineered avatar body. Jake holds Logon's hand, human body, and Neytiri holds Logon's hand, avatar body)

Logon: (waking up to his new avatar body) Whoa, what just happened?

Neytiri: (in Na'vi) You now have a new body, Logon. A body that is part human and part Na'vi.

Jake: (in English) You are now one of us, son.

Logon: (in amazement) I can't believe it. I'm really a Na'vi now.

Ronal: (in Na'vi) Yes, you are, Logon. And as one of our own, you must respect our customs and traditions.

Logon: (in Na'vi) I will. I promise.

Neytiri: (in Na'vi) Welcome to our family, Logon.

Jake: (in English) Welcome home, son.
