Chapter 1-A – A Young Novelist and his Family
Our story begins on a planet called Earth Primus. The homeworld of some of our story's main heroes and it is here where we follow one of them going about their daily life. Little did they know, was that in a few days… they along with a few others including their family will have their lives changed… forever.

A young boy opened his eyes and found himself standing in the middle of some strange plane of existence. The whole place was colored gray and there was fog everywhere and yet… everywhere he looked, every corner he turned to from left to right, back to front, there was absolutely nothing.
"Hello?!" called out the boy, his voice echoing around the plane "Is anybody there?!" he called out again his voice echoed once more.
The boy continued to look around the plane in hope of finding something or someone. He stopped when he suddenly felt a presence behind him, he turned around to see a silhouette of a woman standing a short distance from him with her back turned to him.
The boy's eyes widened upon seeing the woman with a sense of recognition "Are you…" he uttered out before the silhouette of the woman started to walk away.
The boy's eyes widened even more "Wait!" he called out as he began to run after her "Wait stop! Come back!" he called out reaching his hand out to her.
The more he ran, the faster he went, the farther the woman was from his reach "Wait! Come back! Don't go!" he called out in desperation but to no avail.
The woman suddenly stopped in her tracks before turning slightly to the boy "It's okay…" she told him with a kind, caring and gentle voice causing the boy to stop in his tracks "Do not lose hope… we will see each other again…" she told him in reassurance "And remember…" she trailed off "Hope exists beyond your resolution…" she said before continuing to walk away.
The boy gasped before continuing to run after the woman while calling out to her as her figure slowly faded from his view before everything turned white.
"...oren…? Soren…?"

"SOREN!"
"AH!" exclaimed a young man, startled causing him to wake up from his apparent dream.
"Oops, sorry about that, but it's good to see that you're awake" said the voice of a girl next to him.
Soren Anderson was a young man about 20 years old with short neat brown hair, fair skin, slim and well toned build and chocolate brown eyes. He was currently wearing a red long sleeve polo shirt with a white collar and front pocket on the left pectoral, a pair of blue jean pants with a belt, a pair of white socks and a pair of black and white adidas rubber sneakers.
Soren let out a yawn while rubbing his eyes, after blinking off the sleep out of his system, he began to take in his surroundings. He was currently on an airplane, specifically a wide body aircraft and he was seated on the window seat of the right side passenger seats of the plane.
He let out one more yawn before turning to the one who called out to him currently seated on the aisle side seat to his left "Morning sleepy head!" greeted the girl with a smile.
"Morning Kit…" greeted Soren "What time is it?" he asked.
"Hmm, let's see…" said the girl now identified as Kit who checked her smartphone "It's currently one in the morning" she told him.
"One in the morning?!" exclaimed Soren in surprise.
"Eeyep!" nodded Kit "Although, according to where we're headed, it's probably around two in the afternoon over there, so in other words, we'll probably arrive there by four" she said.
"I see…" nodded Soren while opening the window cover to his right revealing that it was currently bright and sunny "Thanks for the update sis" he said.
Soren's younger sister Kathrine "Kit" Anderson was a teenage girl around 17 years old with long dark brown hair that reaches until above her waist and is currently held in a low ponytail by a black scrunchy, fair skin, slim build, medium bust and light blue eyes. She was currently wearing a gray long sleeve shirt under a white open short sleeve zipper hoodie with black cords and a black lightning bolt sigil on the left upper front area, blue jean pants with a belt and a pair of gray and white nike running shoes with hints of yellow.
"Heh… you've been sleeping like a log since we took off, we couldn't even wake you up when dinner came along" said Kit amused "And I kept telling you to take a break every once in awhile from your work" she said.
"Well, what do you expect? Whenever an idea pops up into my head all of a sudden, I immediately write it down so that I could remember" said Soren.
"Even when you're brainstorming with your current novel?" asked Kit.
"Even when brainstorming with my current novel" confirmed Soren with a nod.
"Heh… that's a genius novelist for ya…" mused Kit.
"I see that you're up" spoke a voice as Soren glanced up past his sister and towards the occupant on the seat across from Kit's in the middle passenger seats.
The occupant seated on the aisle seat across from Kit's was Maxwell "Max" Anderson, Kit and Soren's brother, he was a couple years older than Kit and a year younger than Soren, he had short well kept blonde hair, fair skin, slim and well toned build and chocolate brown eyes. He was currently wearing a dark blue long sleeve shirt under a black t shirt with a white lion logo on it, a pair of brown pants with a belt, white socks and a pair of blue and dark gray rubber shoes. He was currently reading a book.
"Hey Max, you've been up long?" asked Soren.
"About an hour, Kit woke up about thirty minutes after" he said without taking an eye off of his book.
"I see…" nodded Soren before taking notice of the book Max was reading which was entitled "Dreams of Lost Memories".
'Oh… it's my book' thought Soren amused seeing his brother read the book he wrote and became a best seller.
Soren's attention then focused towards the occupant sitting on the seat to Max' left.
The occupant who sat next to Max was their eldest brother Cadman Anderson, he was a year older than Soren and a couple inches taller than the three with short spiky dark brown hair, fair skin, slim and well toned build and light blue eyes. He was currently clad in a dark purple t-shirt, dark blue cargo pants and black tanker boots with the pants tucked into them. He currently had his eyes closed and his arms crossed and apparently he was listening to blaring music behind a pair of headphones.
"Is Cad asleep?" asked Soren.
"Maybe" replied Max with a shrug "He probably couldn't stand aunt Megan's snoring" he said referring to the one currently snoring on the seat next to Cadman's.
It was a young woman in her mid 30s with long wavy reddish brown hair, fair skin, slim build, medium bust and dark brown eyes. Despite her age, she somehow had a youthful appearance making people mistaken her as a young woman in her 20s. This was Megan Shephard, the siblings' legal guardian, surrogate aunt and Soren's editor. She was currently wearing a white shirt under a gray cardigan, a pair of light blue jean pants and a pair of brown shoes. She also wore a neck rest and as well as a sleeping mask over her eyes as she snored loudly.
"Man, aunt Megan's snoring is as loud as a moose" commented Kit.
"*Snort!* Who ya callin a moose…" uttered out Megan in a drowsy tone making Kit cover her mouth suppressing a laugh while Soren chuckled in amusement and Max merely smiled while continuing on with his book.
"Well, she was excited for our trip that she couldn't sleep a wink the night before leaving for the airport that afternoon and you know her, once all that excitement settles down, she immediately deflates" said Max making Soren and Kit chuckle more.
Soren and Kit's attention then focused towards the sound of a cute little yawn and the one responsible was the little occupant sitting on the seat in between the two.
The one who sat on the middle seat beside him and Kit was a little girl about 10 years old. She had waist length blonde hair, fair skin, slim build and light blue eyes. She was currently wearing a white and blue accented henley t-shirt under an unbuttoned dark blue denim jacket, a pair of dark gray jean pants with a belt and, a pair of white socks and a pair of white three strap rubber shoes. She also had a white wrist watch on her left wrist and a blue hairband on top of her head. This was Macie Anderson, the fifth and youngest sibling among them and also, Megan's goddaughter.
Kit smiled caringly upon seeing their youngest sibling wake up from her sleep as Macie let out a few stretches "Good morning Macie" she said.
"Morning…" said Macie letting out a yawn before rubbing her groggy eyes awake "Are we there yet Kit?" she asked her older sister with a groggy tone.
"Almost, just a couple more hours before we arrive" she told her.
The scene then changes to outside revealing the airplane that the siblings were riding as it flew through the skies while nearing towards its' destination, the Land of the Rising Sun, otherwise known as Japan, the Anderson siblings' destination for a little family vacation and it is where they'll be meeting up with their Japanese cousins.
Date: Late June 2023 (Friday)
Time: 3:15 PM (Japan Time)
We now go to a school somewhere in Tokyo Japan and right now it is currently after school and students were either currently leaving for home or attending to after school club activities.
It is here, we join two girls clad in high school uniforms composed of a long sleeve blouse with a ribbon under a uniform blazer jacket, skirt, socks and inside school shoes while carrying schoolbags as they exit their classroom after having a couple of conversations with some friends.
Both girls were 16 years old and looked just about identical to one another indicating that they were twin siblings with fair skin, slim build and medium bust, the only difference that allowed people to distinguish the two were their hair color and eyes. The older twin had long blonde hair and blue eyes and she wore a white barrette clip shaped like feathered wings at the back of her hair while the younger twin had dark brown hair and green eyes and a moon shaped hairpin on the right side of her hair. These two were Kazuha and Kaori Anderson respectively. Funny thing was that both of them had a strong resemblance to Naomi Randall from Scarlet Nexus with Kazuha being the exact copy of her minus her hair accessory.
The twins were walking down the hallways when they decided to start up a little conversation.
"Another day of school… over in an instant…" said Kaori.
"I guess time fly's whenever we enjoy ourselves don't you think Kaori?" asked Kazuha receiving a giggle from her younger twin.
"I suppose so… Kazuha-onee~chan!" she said.
"This again Kaori? We're the same age you know" said Kazuha.
"But you came out first~" retorted back Kaori with a teasing smile as the twins shared a laugh with one another.
The twins continued to walk down the halls when they came by a couple of underclassman students, a male and female who were carrying a stack of folders. The two students bowed in greeting with the twins returning the gesture, but just when the four were about to pass each other, one of the underclassman suddenly tripped.
"Whoa!" exclaimed the male underclassman tipping forward while a couple of the folders he was carrying started to fall over but just in a split second, someone caught the folders and stopped the underclassman from falling over, the one responsible was none other than Kazuha.
"Whoa, are you alright kouhai?" asked Kazuha helping the underclassman maintain his balance all the while he and the other underclassman looked on stunned because one second, the older Anderson twin was just passing by, the next she immediately rushed in and prevented her kouhai from falling. It was as if she knew what was about to happen.
"H-Hai… arigato senpai…" was the male underclassman's response.
"Glad to hear it" smiled Kazuha before fixing up the folders and gave it to the male underclassman.
"Sugoi…" uttered out the female underclassman amazed with how fast Kazuha responded while Kaori smirked for some reason.
"You two be careful on your way now okay?" Kazuha told the two underclassman who bowed in thanks before proceeding on their way.
As the twins watched their kouhais walk away, Kaori let out a chuckle "I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times…" trailed off Kaori before turning to her older twin "How'd you manage to do that? Can you see the future or something?" she asked jokingly at the last part.
Kazuha chuckled before turning to her younger twin and gave her a wink along with a shushing gesture "It's my secret~" she teased receiving a pout from Kaori before the two giggled.
"Hey you two!" greeted a voice calling out to them from behind as Kazuha and Kaori turned to the owner of the voice revealing a girl about a year older than them.
"Ah! Homura-neesan, just in time!" greeted Kazuha with a wave revealing the girl as their older sister who waved back with a smile as she approached them.
Homura Anderson is a teen about 17 years old with long brunette hair held in a high ponytail by a scarlet red scrunchie and a fringe combed to the left, fair skin, slim build, medium bust and green eyes. She was clad in the same uniform as her younger sisters only with a different colored ribbon.
"Did you already talk to…?" asked Kazuha only for Homura to raised her hand up "Yes, I already told the fencing club that we won't be present for club activities today and I already told the archery club the same thing with you Kaori" said Homura turning to the younger twin at the last part.
"Ah! Arigato Homura-nee-chan! You're a lifesaver!" said Kaori clapping her hands together in gratitude.
Homura chuckled at that "Well, today's a special day, so I went ahead and told every club we'd help every once in awhile aside from our main clubs that we won't be helping out today due to a special occasion" she said.
"Mhmm" nodded Kazuha in agreement "Soren-kun along with Cadman-san, Max-kun, Kit-chan, Macie-chan and Megan-san are coming here to stay for a couple of weeks" she said.
"*Giggle!*, I bet Asahi's very excited to see Macie-chan again after so long, they've only been communicating with one another through Zoom and after so long, they get to see each other in person again" said Kaori before letting out a sigh "Wish Truman-kun, Elliot-kun and Danny-chan would come also, that way the whole family would be here" she said.
"Well, it was Max-kun who won those tickets to a trip here from that essay contest he entered and it was only enough for six of them" said Homura.
"Yeah, I guess you're right…" said Kaori with a shrug before taking a look at her wristwatch on her left wrist and saw that it was currently 3:20 PM "Well, guess we should get going then, Uzuki-san's probably here by now with Asahi" she told her sisters.
"Yeah, let's get going then" nodded Homura in agreement as the three proceeded on their way.
Later, Homura and the twins were now outside the school gates now wearing outside shoes as they waited for their pickup.
The girls then heard a couple of beeps before turning to see an arriving vehicle which was a Nissan NV350 Urvan.
Upon stopping next to them, the right side window which is the driver side window lowered and the girls were met with a young woman in her mid 30s with long wavy strawberry blonde hair held in a ponytail, radiant skin, slim build, curvy bust and dark brown eyes. This was their legal guardian and surrogate aunt Uzuki Utagawa, she was currently wearing an office uniform composed of a white long sleeve button up shirt under a black blazer jacket, a black business skirt, black heeled shoes, a silver necklace around her neck, a wrist watch on her left wrist and a pair of circular framed glasses.
"Hey you three!" greeted Uzuki with a smile "Door's open" she said while pressing the auto unlock to the side door.
"Arigato Uzuki-san!" thanked Kazuha before she and her sisters went towards the door with Homura sliding it open.
"Hi Onee-chan!" greeted a cheerful voice.
Sitting on one of the seats of the van just behind the front seats with a seat belt on was a little girl about 9 years old, she had long blonde hair with a couple of strands held in high twin tails by a pair of green ribbons, fair skin, slim build and green eyes. This was Asahi Anderson, the youngest sibling among the girls present and as well as Uzuki's goddaughter, she was currently wearing a private elementary school uniform composed of a blouse with a necktie under a blazer jacket, a pleated skirt, socks and shoes.
Homura went over and sat next to Asahi and startled to cuddle her "Hi there Asahi-chan~! I missed you~!" she cooed nuzzling onto her little sister.
Asahi squealed in surprise before starting to giggle "Stop that! Homura-nee! That tickles!" said the youngest Anderson sister as she couldn't help but laugh at how ticklish Homura's nuzzling was.
Kazuha and Kaori smiled at this as they entered the van and closed the door before taking their seats behind their sisters "You really shouldn't dote on Asahi too much Homura-nee-chan, otherwise she'll turn out spoiled in the future" teased Kaori.
"I don't dote on Asahi-chan, I just love to cuddle her that's all because of how cute she is~!" retorted Homura continuing to nuzzle Asahi who continued to laugh.
Kazuha couldn't help but giggle at this "Alright, suit yourself then" she said.
"Alright ladies, buckle up!" informed Uzuki as she started to move the van "We'll be picking up your older sister at her school and after that, we'll head straight to the airport to pick up your cousins alright?" she told them.
"Hai~!" replied the four as Homura and the twins strapped on their seat belts before Uzuki pushed the accelerator as they rode on towards their next stop.
We now go to a university college where it was currently after classes and it's in here we join a certain individual walking down the halls of one of the college buildings.
This individual was a young woman in her early 20s about 22 years old with long dark brown silky smooth hair that reaches up to her hips, fair skin, slim build, a well shaped voluptuous figure and blue eyes and she looked quite the beauty. This was Yuina Anderson, the eldest of the 5 Anderson sisters, she was currently wearing a white colored casual button up shirt under a cream colored open cardigan, a blue skirt, a pair of black heeled shoes, a white and blue accented bow tied to the back of her hair and worn around her neck was a sapphire blue crystal pendant and as well as a school ID. She also currently had a shoulder bag held on her left shoulder.
As Yuina walked through the hallway, the other students greeted her as she passed by with her greeting in return.
"Seito kaichō"
"Anderson-kaichō"
"Anderson-kaichō kon'nichiwa"
These were the greetings Yuina was receiving from her fellow peers and kouhais and she'd always reply with a friendly nod, a kind smile or a simple greeting in reply.
If you're wondering why a lot of the students were greeting her as if she was someone important, well that's because she happens to be the student council president of the school and not only that, she was quite popular. Not only does Yuina possess a fair and beautiful complexion and somewhat alluring figure, she's also academically smart, athletically talented, well mannered and knows the right decisions to make when leading or managing the student council and as well as making plans for events and activities for the university. And not only that, she had this air about her that made everyone admire her as if she were a goddess which made Yuina the university's unofficial idol of her year.
As Yuina continued to walk down the halls, she was spotted by one of the female teachers.
"Anderson-san!" called out the teacher approaching her.
"Ah! Ishihara-sensei!" greeted Yuina stopping in her tracks.
"How has your day been going lately Aderson-san?" asked Akina Ishihara, Yuina's music teacher who was a middle aged woman in her early 40s with long black hair held in a high ponytail, fair skin, slim build, big bust and black eyes. She was wearing a white button up shirt under a black blazer jacket, black skirt, black heeled shoes, a wristwatch worn on her left wrist and a pair of rectangular framed glasses. She also had a black briefcase bag held on her left hand.
"Oh, it's been going fine sensei, more so in fact" said Yuina with a smile.
"I see…" nodded Ishihara before looking at her wristwatch seeing that it was currently 3:35 "Hmm… shouldn't you be at the student council discussing about the current club funds by now?" she asked.
"Oh, about that, you see my cousins from the US are coming here to stay in Japan for a couple of weeks and they're expected to arrive at the airport in half an hour from now, so I told the council that I'll be leaving early and left managing the council to Tajima-san" said Yuina referring to the Vice President of the student council "So right now my pickup's expected to arrive soon so that we'll go straight to the airport to pick up my cousins" she explained to her teacher.
"Ah, I understand" nodded Ishihara "Then it's best I don't delay you any further" she said.
"Arigato sensei" thanked Yuina with a bow, Ishihara returning it as well.
"I'll see you again next week, say hello to Uzuki for me" said Ishihara with a wink.
Yuina giggle "I'll give her your regards sensei" she said before the two parted their separate ways.
Later, Yuina was standing outside the school campus where Uzuki arrived in her van.
"Hello Uzuki-san, glad you could make it" greeted Yuina.
"Yep, glad to see you too" greeted back Uzuki who unlocked the side doors "Alright then! Can't keep your cousins waiting at the airport right?" she said.
"Hai!" replied Yuina with a smile as the door slid open, courtesy of Homura.
"Yuina-oneechan!" greeted Asahi cheerfully.
"Hey Yui-nee, how's your day?" asked Homura.
"It's been great so far" replied Yuina as she got inside the van before Homura closed the door "Ishihara-sensei sends you her regards Uzuki-san" said the elder Anderson sister taking a seat next to the door just across from Kazuha and Kaori.
"I see" nodded Uzuki "Glad to know that Akina's doing fine in her job" she said before turning the wheel "Alright girls, fasten your seat belts 'cause our next destination's Haneda Airport!" she declared as Asahi cheered in excitement.
"Are you excited to see Macie-chan again Asahi?" asked Yuina towards her youngest sister.
"Hai! I can't wait to have so much fun with Macie-oneesan again!" said Asahi excitedly.
Uzuki chuckled at her goddaughter's excitement before heading off to the airport.
4:10 PM
Later on, we go to Haneda Airport, officially known as Tokyo International Airport AKA Tokyo Haneda Airport AKA Haneda International Airport where the plane carrying Soren and his family arrived and landed safely.
The Anderson siblings and Megan got off the plane and proceeded to retrieve their belongings from the baggage carousel.
Soren was now wearing a black open zipper hoodie with white cords over his current attire and a black stetson temple fedora hat on his head.
Max was now wearing a custom made hooded jacket over his current attire and it's composed of a dark blue denim jacket with light gray hoodie sleeves and a light gray hood with light gray chords attached to the denim collar.
Kit was now wearing a white baseball cap on her head.
Cadman was now wearing a black open hooded leather jacket with zipper and pocket details over his current attire.
Macie was now wearing a blue wool newsboy cap over her head with a pair of black framed blue lens sunglasses over it.
Megan was now wearing a pair of square framed glasses over her eyes.
Megan let out a yawn as she and every member of her family retrieved their luggage "Man… that sure was a relaxing sleep…" she said making a couple stretches.
"Relaxing for you that is…" uttered out Cadman.
"Hey, what's that supposed to mean?" questioned Megan narrowing her eyes at her surrogate nephew with a frown.
"Nothing…" shrugged Cadman glancing away with a smile.
Megan sighed shaking her head bemused in response as the group continued to gather their luggage.
After gathering their luggage and placing them on trolleys, the group pushed their luggage trolleys along towards the exit where they were met with their cousins the Anderson sister and Uzuki who greeted them happily.
"OOOIIIII! Soren-kun! Kit-chan! Min'naaaa!" called out Homura waving her arms towards her American cousins.
"Hey Homura! Nice to see you guys again!" waved back Kit as the siblings stopped in front of the sisters.
"Megan-chan! I'm so glad that all of you made it!" said Uzuki happily as she went over to Megan and gave her a hug.
"Ehehe, glad to see you too Uzuki, been awhile since we last saw each other like this" said Megan returning the hug "But hey, what are besties for right?" she joked with a smile.
"Hai!" replied Uzuki smiling in return.
"Hey Soren-kun! Max-kun! It's great to see you guys again!" greeted Kaori as she and Kazuha approached Soren and Max.
"It's great to see you as well Kaori, Kazuha" greeted Max.
"How's your latest novel coming along?" Kazuha asked Soren.
"Oh, it's coming along fine Kazuha, I managed to finish about ten chapters so far" said Soren.
"Ten chapters?! That's it?!" questioned Kaori in surprise before turning to Max "Was he…?" she asked.
"Figuring out what to write next on the current chapter when he suddenly got a new idea for a new story? Yes, he did" nodded Max in confirmation.
Kaori sighed "You really need to set your priorities straight when it comes to writing your novels" she told Soren.
"You know Soren, he's just like that" said Kit casually smiling with a shrug.
"I guess so…" agreed Homura with an amused smile.
"Hey… what's that supposed to mean?" frowned Soren towards his sister and cousin.
"Oh, nothing~" said the two with innocent smiles on their faces making the twins giggle in amusement.
"It's great to see you again Yuina" said Cadman greeting Yuina with a smile.
"It's great to see you as well Cadman-kun, how have all of you been?" greeted back Yuina before asking a question.
"Been doing great so far" said Cadman "Soren's been writing a lot of ideas for his novels with Megan helping him out, Max is getting ready for his third year in college, Kit's figuring out which college to attend to, Macie's doing well on her studies at school and as for me… well, I'm currently working as an assistant instructor at a school where they teach historical swordfighting" he said.
"I see" nodded Yuina "As for us, we're doing fine so far, Asashi-chan's doing alright at school and the same goes for Kaori, Kazuha and Homura" she said "Homura's also thinking about what college she'll attend next year as well" she added.
"Ah, I see" nodded Cadman "Oh yeah, and as for Truman, Elliot and Danny, they're doing fine as well, they couldn't come as you already know, the tickets we won were only enough for us present here" he said.
"I understand, although it would've been nice to have them here along with Dominic-ojisan, that way the whole family would be here" said Yuina.
"Yeah, I agree" nodded Cadman "Although they did say that it was alright because supposedly, they'd be going to some concert that would be occurring around next week from now" he said.
"A concert you say?" mused Yuina.
"Yeah, a concert… with Elliot's friends" added Cadman making the two share a laugh.
"Macie-oneechan!" exclaimed Asashi as she tackled her cousin into a hug.
"Ahahaha! Hey Asahi, glad to see you again, I really missed you" said Macie returning the hug while happily smiling at her favorite cousin.
"Me too!" chirped Asahi nuzzling onto Macie making the latter giggle before separating from their hug "We're gonna have so much fun together! I can't wait to do a lot of things with you Macie-oneechan!" said Asahi excitedly with sparkles in her eyes.
"Eeyep! I look forward to our fun activities together too!" agreed Macie with an excited smile.
The two Anderson families continued to make a few small talks here and there before deciding to leave the airport. They continued to make conversation along the way while walking towards Uzuki's van, mostly about what each family has been doing up to this point.
After arriving at the parking lot where Uzuki's van was, they placed Soren and his family's luggage on the back of the van before all of them got inside and rode off towards the latter group's home.
It was now evening and we go to a suburban Japanese 2 story house belonging to the Anderson sisters and Uzuki and it was here that the two Anderson families were relaxing. The Anderson siblings and Megan settled in nicely and they along with their cousins and Uzuki were doing their own thing.
In the living room, we see Kazuha, Kaori and Kit watching some television. In the kitchen we see Yuina and Max helping each other make dinner while Megan and Uzuki sat on the dining table in the dining room which was across from the kitchen as the two surrogate aunts were having a can of cola while having a conversation with each other.
Meanwhile upstairs, Macie and Asashi were in the latter's room binge watching some anime and tokusatsu on her computer and both of them had sparkles in their eyes as they watched a certain tokusatsu show.
And in one of the guest rooms where the Anderson brothers stayed, we see Soren and Cadman, the latter taking a short nap on his bed while the former sat on a desk working on his novel.
Currently, Soren stared at one of the unfinished pages of his draft for the next chapter of his in-progress story, humming in thought, he rested his chin on his hand which rested on his desk by his elbow while twirling a fountain pen in his other hand.
As he continued to brainstorm, Homura sneakily walked in. She slowly walked towards her distracted cousin while avoiding waking up her other cousin. Upon reaching him, she lunged at him putting her hands on his shoulders and yelled out "Surprise!".
"AH!" exclaimed Soren in surprise jolting Cadman awake with a snort.
"Gotcha~!" teased Homura with a mischievous smile.
"Ugh! Homura that was so not cool!" frowned Soren at his cousin.
"Ehehe! Sorry but I couldn't help it!" said Homura still smiling "You were so engrossed that it made you an easy target" she said.
"*Yawn!* Hey Homura" greeted Cadman sitting up from his nap.
"Hey Cadman-kun, sorry about waking you" apologized Homura.
"No, it's alright, didn't want to nap too long" replied Cadman stretching his arms.
Homura nodded before turning back to Soren "So, how's your story going?" she asked.
"Well… so far, I got 10 pages finished and right now I'm at a bind right now because I'm figuring out what will happen next" he said.
"Ah, I see…" nodded Homura taking a small peak at her cousin's draft "So, what's your new story about anyway?" she asked.
"It's about two best friends who've been isekaied into another world" said Soren "In that world, there's currently a war going on between the forces of humanity and the demon lord's army and both sides decided to summon their own champion in order to turn the tides of the war on their favor and those two champions happen to be the two best friends and as the story progresses, the two friends set out on an adventure to unite with one another while making new friends along the way and also uncovering a secret conspiracy that caused the whole war in the first place" he explained.
Homura whistled at that "Another isekai story huh? That's cool and all but… haven't you already made a lot of isekai stories already?" she asked.
"Well yeah, I mean technically I made three isekai stories and a couple of fantasy and adventure stories plus one sci-fi story… but it's just that… Isekai stories seem to be kind of my forte" he said.
Homura nodded "I see…" she said.
Cadman meanwhile looked on at his younger brother with a sad look on his face 'It reminds you of her doesn't it?' he thought sadly.
"Min'naaa! Shokuji no jikandesu! It's time to eat everyone!" called out Yuina's voice from downstairs.
"Hai~!/Coming~!" replied the voices of Asahi and Macie respectively from the former's room.
"Alright then!" said Homura clapping her hands "It's time to eat, so why don't you take a break from writing and let's go down for some dinner!" she chirped.
"Hmm…" hummed Cadman in agreement as he stood up from his bed.
"Alright then…" nodded Soren also agreeing as he put down his pen and stood up from his seat before he along with Cadman and Homura left the room and went down for some dinner.
Date: Early July 2023 (Saturday)
Time: 10 AM (Japan Time)
It had been a week since Soren and his family arrived at Japan and stayed with their cousins and right now it was a weekend morning and we see Soren, his family and cousins currently walking around the streets of Akihabara, the central hub for anime, manga and videogames and it was this particular place that Macie and Asahi have been excited to go to due to both of them being huge fans of anime, manga and tokusatsu, plus they were gamers, in other words, these two little girls were otakus but they were on the casual side and the same went for their elder siblings.
They're all huge fans of Kamen Riders, Super Sentai and their American counterparts Power Rangers, plus a few magical girl anime such as Symphogear, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha and the Pretty Cure series. They also liked other anime shows and as well as cartoons both new and classic, so they have knowledge of those stories. They also liked some of the mobile games they played that have nice stories, especially Genshin Impact which Macie and Asahi mostly played among the cousins, making them have more knowledge of the game than their older siblings.
Today was gonna be a fun day for the two Anderson families…
Currently Soren and his group wore the same outfits they wore when they arrived with Macie carrying a gray and blue messenger bag over her left shoulder, meanwhile Homura and her group were now wearing a new set of clothes and that included Uzuki since today was her day off.
Yuina wore the same outfit she wore a week ago minus her school ID but in addition, she wore a white pantyhose and replacing her shoes were a pair of black ankle boots.
Homura now wore a white long sleeve shirt with dark yellow sleeves under a maroon zipper vest that's been zipped up half-way, blue jean pants with a belt and a pair of black and white running shoes.
Kazuha wore a black long sleeve shirt under a white open zipper jacket, dark brown skirt, black pantyhose and dark brown combat boots.
Kaori wore a white long sleeve shirt under a light gray open hooded jacket, black pants and tan colored tanker boots.
Asahi wore a green and yellow long sleeve shirt under a white and green t-shirt, cream colored pleated skirt, white stockings and cream colored shoes. She also carried a light gray colored backpack.
Uzuki wore a yellow t-shirt under a white blazer jacket, blue jean pants with a belt, a bracelet on her right wrist, a necklace around her neck and a pair of white high heel shoes.
Soren and his group looked on in awe at the streets of Akihabara around them.
"I know I've been here before but seeing it again after so long is just… mind boggling" commented Kit.
"Akihabara BANZAI~!" exclaimed Macie and Asahi raising their arms up in excitement making the rest of their siblings smile, giggle and chuckle in amusement.
"Okay you two, since you're all excited, how about letting you two decide where we should go first on our trip to Akihabara?" Uzuki insisted.
That brought excited sparkles to the two little girls' eyes "Animate Akihabara!" they said in unison.
"You want to got there?" mused Uzuki.
"Yeah!" chirped the two.
"Uh… isn't that where the latest anime and manga merch are kept?" asked Kit.
"The very same" replied Homura.
"Those usually come at a high price" said Kit.
"Yes but there are some discounted merch as well" pointed out Kazuha.
"Alright then, with our destination set, let's go!" exclaimed Megan raising up her fist with Macie and Asahi doing the same with a loud cheer.
"Uh, before we do that, we still have to wait for someone" said Kit looking at her smartphone.
"Oh yeah, you did tell us that you invited your pen pal to join us today" said Soren.
"Yeah" nodded Kit.
"Hehe… funny story, Kit's pen pal also happens to be one of my classmates back at school" said Homura with an amused expression.
"Oi~! Kit-chan! Homura-san! Min'na~!" called out a voice.
"Ah, speak of the devil…" mused Homura as she and the rest of the Anderson family turned to the source of the voice.
Running towards the group and waving at them was a teenage girl about 17 years old with long dark brown hair that reaches half-way through her waist tied in low ponytails by a pair of green scrunchies, fair skin, slim build, small curvy bust and green eyes. She was currently clad in a dark gray and black t-shirt under an open dark purple zipper hoodie with black chords, black shorts with a belt, white socks and black and white running shoes. This was Kit's pen pal/best friend from Japan and Homura's classmate Masumi "Sumi" Harekaze.
"Hey Sumi-chan! Glad you could join us!" greeted Homura with a smile.
"Glad to be here as well Homura-san and It's great to see you again after so long Kit-chan!" said Sumi "You sure have grown quite a lot since we last saw each other!" she added.
Kit chuckled at that "Yeah, it has been quite some time Sumi, it's good to know that we get to hang out like this" she said.
"You bet!" cheered Sumi energetically as the two exchanged a double high five and the same went with Homura.
"Glad to have you join us Sumi-san" said Uzuki smiling at Sumi.
"Thank you for having me" said Sumi bowing politely.
"It's no problem" replied Uzuki with a smile before turning to the rest of her family "Alright then, everyone's here so let's not delay any further!" she said as everyone especially Macie and Asahi cheered before proceeding on with their Akihabara trip.
The group went to a lot of fun places in Akihabara such as Animate Akihabara, Yodobashi Camera and even Mandarake to check out any second handed and rare items related to gaming and manga. They also went to a few arcades and game centers to have some fun.
After having lunch at a ramen shop, the group went to other places not related to gaming and manga such as Akiba Fukurou (in which Uzuki booked in advanced and had everyone take turns going inside), Aki-Oka Artisan and even visited Kanda Myojin Shrine and bought some charms that'll bless electronic devices.
Right now it was currently late afternoon and the sun was setting and the group just finished buying some souvenirs from Don Quijote and are now riding Uzuki's urvan and on their way home.
"Ah… man this was sure one fun trip today!" chirped Homura exhausted from going around Akihabara.
"Did everyone have fun?" asked Uzuki driving behind the wheel and everyone made their own replies such as "Yep!", "Yes!", "Uh huh!" and "It was awesome!" making Uzuki smile "Glad everyone enjoyed" she said.
"All those owls at that owl cafe sure were cute" commented Megan.
"Yeah and we even got to have some of them to get perched on our arms" commented Kit looking at a picture of her with an owl perched on her left arm.
"Not only that, Asahi and I got some new manga!" exclaimed Macie holding a newly bought manga in her hands with Asahi responding with a "Hmm, hmm!" while holding a manga of her own.
"It was lucky that those items got a discount, talk about good timing" commented Kaori.
"Will you be able to read it though?" asked Max in concern.
"I can manage big brother, besides, Homura and Asahi's teaching me how to read and write in Japanese just like how Soren and I taught Asahi how to read and write in English" said Macie confidently.
"Yeah!" chirped Asahi.
"Hehe and you're doing a good job so far Macie-chan" said Homura with a smile petting Macie on the head resulting in the second to the youngest Anderson to let out a proud smile.
"Aww, you're teaching your cousin how to read and write in Japanese, you grow up so fast Asahi-chan, I'm so proud of you~!" cooed Yuina cuddling Asahi making the youngest Anderson giggle in response.
"Okay everyone, what's gonna be on the menu tonight?!" said Uzuki asking everyone what she'll cook for dinner and everyone started calling out different types of food such as Omurice, Katsudon, Karaage, etc making Uzuki chuckle "Alright then, I guess I'll make all of them" she said "Oh! And you're welcome to join us if you want Sumi-san" she said.
"Sure!" chirped Sumi "If you all don't mind that is?" she said sheepishly.
"Are you kidding Sumi? Of course we wouldn't mind! We'd be happy to have you join us!" said Kit with a smile.
"The more the merrier" said Cadman with a small smile and his arms crossed.
"Dōmo arigatōgozaimasu!" thanked Sumi clapping her hands in thanks.
"It's no problem" replied Uzuki with a smile.
The whole family continued to chat away before Kazuha took notice of Soren looking out the window with a distant look in his eyes.
"Soren-kun?" asked Kazuha only to get no response from her cousin "Soren-kun?" she called out again and this time he heard her "Hmm?" he asked turning to Kazuha.
"Is something wrong?" she asked.
"Oh uh… it's nothing Kazuha, it's just that…" he trailed off hesitant to ask.
"Something bothering you Soren?" Cadman asked also getting Max, Homura, Kaori and Yuina's attention while Sumi continued to chat away with Kit, although the latter listened in.
"It's just that for the past week… I've been… I've been having these weird thoughts lately… and it kinda involves these dreams I've been having…" explained Soren "It feels like something big is about to happen…" he trailed off "And it makes me wonder… if any of it is real… or not?" he told them.
This left everyone who listened in to ponder at this in silence.
Cadman was the first to break the silence "I don't know Soren… whatever you dreamt about, it must've been trying to tell you something" he said.
"Huh? What do you mean?" asked Soren.
"Dreams can be quite mysterious in many ways Soren-kun" said Yuina "But I think it's best that you don't think about it too much for now" she said.
"Yeah, let's just sit back, relax and enjoy the rest of the trip home" said Homura with Kaori nodding in agreement with a "Hmm, hmm".
After some pondering, Soren sighed before letting out a smile "Alright then" he nodded.
Kazuha smiled seeing her cousin smile again. She then turned back to the front and layed back against her seat letting out a silent relaxed sigh, only to let out a sudden gasp snapping her eyes wide open in alarm for some reason before reeling forward in alarm.
"Eh? Kazuha?" said Kaori noticing her older twin's distressed look "What's-?" she asked only for Kazuha to yell out.
"UZUKI-SAN!" she shouted.
"Huh?!" exclaimed Megan startled and the same went with Uzuki who swerved the van in a squiggly line making everyone else exclaim in surprise as they held onto each other before Uzuki managed stabilize her driving "Kazuha what's wrong?!" exclaimed Megan as she and Uzuki turned to Kazuha who had a distressed look on her face.
"UZUKI-SAN ON YOUR LEFT! LOOK OUT!" Kazuha warned.
*HONK! HONK! HOOOOONNNNNNK!*
"EH?!" exclaimed Uzuki looking to her left only for her eyes to widen in shock and horror. Megan turned to where Uzuki was looking only to see none other than a semi-trailer truck speeding towards them causing her eyes to widen in shock and horror as well and the same went with everyone else with Macie and Asahi screaming in fright as they held onto Kit and Yuina respectively, their older sisters holding on to them protectively. Before Uzuki could even react…
*CRASH!*
And on that day, an accident occurred. It was reported that a semi-trailer truck driver failed to slow down due to broken breaks and all he could do was send warning sounds to those ahead of him in hopes of avoiding running them down or crashing into them. But alas, it was in vain for an Urvan carrying a number of 13 passengers including the driver were unfortunate enough for the truck to crash into them stopping it in its' tracks at last… it was then reported… that all the passengers in the urvan tragically didn't survive.
Darkness… that was all Soren could see after slowly opening his eyes.
'Wha… what happened?' he thought 'The last thing I remember was…' he thought before a flood of memories came flowing back to him 'Oh yeah… I died… didn't I?' thought Soren 'I guess that means that everyone else died too huh…' he thought before letting out a sigh 'This sucks…' thought Soren with a melancholic expression 'There's so much I still wanted to do… there was so many things everyone else wanted to do!' he thought 'Especially Macie and Asahi!' he thought gritting his teeth in frustration 'They had bright futures ahead of them and they all just disappeared in an instant the moment that happened!' he thought angrily before reaching his hand out towards the endless darkness 'Please God…! if you can hear my thoughts please…!' he thought desperately reaching out 'Please give us a second chance!' he pleaded 'Please give us a second chance to live our lives! Mine… and everyone else who died in the crash! If not, then at least give Macie and Asahi a second chance!' Soren grunted reaching out desperately 'Please! I beg you!' he pleaded.
And as if his prayers were heard, a bright light shined in Soren's vision "Wha…?" he uttered out in surprise shielding his eyes from the brightness.
From the light came a figure of a certain goddess clad in a white dress with floral designs and an emerald green hooded cloak. The light currently obscured the rest of her figure and face, so it was hard to tell the rest of her appearance.
The goddess let out a kind and gentle smile "Mitsuketa (I found you)" she uttered out before slowly holding out her hand to Soren "Take my hand… if you and your family would like a second chance" she said in a kind and gentle voice.
Soren pondered at this for a moment, he didn't sense any ill intent nor any deceit from her and for some reason, he had this feeling that he could trust her.
And without any hesitation, Soren slowly held out his hand and reached out to hers. The moment their hands touched, a bright light shined the whole place blinding Soren's vision before losing consciousness.
"Oh my! That was an interesting way to start the story!" spoke the voice of Chron "Hello everyone! It's your celestial chronicler Chron here and I have to say that we've been introduced to quite the cast don't you all think?" he said.
"But WHYYYY!? Why did Soren-kun and his family have to diiieeee~!? WHAAAAAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!" sulked the voice of Tassel.
"It's alright chap, a certain goddess of ours found their souls and I'm sure you know exactly what she'll do with them right?" said Chron comforting Tassel.
"But still, it was such a sad and tragic way to go-o-o~! WHAAAAAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!" cried Tassel before the sound of him blowing his nose was heard.
"I know…" said Chron as the sound of him patting Tassel on the back was heard before clearing his throat "Anyway, I'm sure all of you lot are wondering what'll happen to Soren now?" he paused.
"We'll I'm sure some of you already could take a considering who found them but you'll have to find out on the chapters soon to come and as for what'll happen on the next chapter… well, you'll have to wait and see, so stay tuned!" he said.

That's all for this chapter. This took quite awhile for me to finish due to a lot of things such as story block, playing 2 different games, watching anime and other distractions and even a recent thing that happened concerning family matters in which I will keep to myself.
Anyway, we're introduced to one of our main protagonists Soren Anderson along with his family and they seem like a normal looking bunch, although Soren's been having these strange thoughts which include the dream he had prior to his and his siblings' arrival to Japan to stay with their Japanese cousins. Sadly, he and his family tragically died in an unfortunate accident while on their way home from their Akihabara trip. But before any of them could enter the afterlife, a certain goddess intervenes and takes them to a certain somewhere.
Now I bet you all have questions like for instance Soren's dream or what'll happen now?
Well, for now you'll have to wait, for on the next chapter, I'll be introducing another of our main protagonists and you'll all have to wait and see who it is, so stay tuned.
