Side Story: Love Song Confessions

Sunset:

Sunset was watching as the limo drove off. She sighed, thinking about the night with her friends. But, to her surprise, she had one particular friend on her mind. Ranma. She smiled as she thought of how he managed to make them all smile after what turned out to be a horrible night.

She hugged herself as she thought about the last dance they had. His strong arms, his cute smile, his weird way of making them all feel happy. She sighed, why did she love him so much?

"Wait, love!?" She said out loud. "I don't love him! I don't...wait...do I?"

(Cue music)

If there's a prize for rotten judgement
I guess I've already won that
No man is worth the aggravation
That's ancient history, been there, done that!

Suddenly, Sunset was assaulted by visions of Queen Twilight and her pony friends.

Sunset tired rushing into her house, trying to block out her hallucinations and their attempts to make her realize...

Sunset started washing up and dressing up for bed. She tried to block out the emotions that were trying to make themselves known.

Suddenly visions of Princesses Celestia, Luna and Cadence popped up in front of her and started singing as well.

Sunset tried to cover her ears and head to her bed. She hated this. She can't be in love with Ranma! She was sure as heck Pinkie liked him, Rainbow Dash too, and Fluttershy! She couldn't do this to them!

Sunset laid on her bed, pulled out her phone and the first thing she saw, was the picture of her and female Ranma. She flipped through her phone and saw other pictures she had taken with him.

At least out loud,

As the hallucinations finally vanished, Sunset laid her head down and looked up at her ceiling.

"I, am a terrible friend." She said as she smashed her face with a pillow.

Rainbow:

Rainbow Dash was sighing as she watched Ranma drive away from with the others. She sighed, why did Ranma have to make her feel this way. Wait, just how exactly did she feel. Did she...

"What!? No! I don't like Ranma that way. Do I?" She asked herself.

(Cue Music)

Rainbow starts walking through her house, thinking about how she met Ranma and all the adventures they've been on.

She starts taking off her outfit and starts a bath, all the while thinking about Ranma and the times they've trained together. She smiles at her reflection in the mirror, thinking about the times Ranma complimented her on how cute she actually was.

As she leaves her bathroom, drying off her hair, she looks to her wall and sees pictures of her, her friends and Ranma, celebrating things they did together.

She just kept smiling as she looks at the picture of her and Ranma after the Martial Arts Gymnastics competition. She places a hand on the picture and smiles.

Rainbow starts dancing slowly as she moves towards her bed. But as she does, she pulls out her phone and looks through the pictures from tonight's escapades. She looks at the pictures of her and Ranma, but then frowns as she looks at the pictures of some of her other friends. Some who she thinks may also have feelings for the pigtailed martial artist.

She puts down her phone and lays on her bed, wandering what to do about her conflicting emotions.

Applejack:

Applejack is seen walking through her house after getting home. She goes to check on her little sister and big brother, both were sound asleep.

"Little Applebloom tried to stay up waiting for you Applejack." Came the voice of her grandmother. Applejack turned to her granny and smiled.

"Oh she did, did she?" She said. Granny Smith nodded.

"So, how did things go with your boyfriend?" Applejack jumped back in shock.

"Wh-WHAT are you talking about!? I've told you, Ranma is NOT my boyfriend!" She all but screamed. Granny Smith just shook her head.

"He may not be if you don't move in and sweep him up before someone else does." She said as she walked with her granddaughter for a little ways to her room.

"Look Sugar Cube, I just wont you to find yourself a nice fella and be happy. You do too much around here as it is. You may think your too busy to find love, but take it from me, if you don't find it, you'll only regret it in the long run."

Applejack looked down as she headed to the bathroom to wash up.

"Granny, even if I were to think about stuff like that, I'm not sure Ranma would even wont a girlfriend. He's...well...he's tried to get away from an arranged marriage and I think romance may be the last thing on his mind." She said. Granny smiled at her granddaughter.

"Look Sugar Cube," She said. "I may not know what all that boy's been through, but I know that nothing, Nothing, helps a man when he's down than the love of a good woman." She said as she headed off to her own room.

"Think about it honey." She said as she closed her door, leaving Applejack alone to think about what her granny said.

(Cue Music)

She sings as she walks through her house, thinking about Ranma and all he'd told her and her friends about what he's been through.

As she keeps singing, she starts remembering all her time with Ranma. All the hanging out, training, helping with the barn, she can't help but smile at the memories.

She leaves the bathroom and heads to her room.

She looks towards a picture of her, Ranma and her family that granny insisted that they take together the day he helped her with the farm. She smiles as tears start to form in her eyes.

She starts to sing again as she walks around her room, thinking about some of the other messes she'd gotten into because of Ranma. She also started thinking about the times he made her laugh, smile and just fell like...a woman.

She looks at an old picture of her dead parents, tears forming in her eyes. But as she tries to shake the tears away, she finds her eyes on a picture of her, Ranma and all their friends, making her smile once again.

She goes to her bed, thinking about Ranma, but also about the signs she's seen of the others checking him out. As she lays down, she looks on her phone at a picture of her and Ranma at the dinner after the gala.

"Sugar Cube...what have you done to me?" She says as she closes her eyes and drifts off to sleep.

Twilight:

Twilight sighed as she and Spike walked back into her home. Her parents asked what happened to make her look so wrecked, but she managed to explain to them that it was all part of some big plan cooked up by Celestia. After calming them down, Twilight took a shower and started to think about a certain someone.

As she got ready for bed, Spike ran up to her, but saw a sad look on her face. Spike tilted his head and tried to get the dark violet-haired girls' attention.

"Hey, Twilight, what's wrong?" He asked. Twilight sighed and picked up her little dog.

"Sorry Spike. I just...have something on my mind." She said.

"You mean Ranma?" Spike asked. Twilight's eyes went wide and she freaked.

"WH-WHAT!? What makes you think that?" She asked. Spike just gave a sly smile.

"Oh come on, I'm a dog but I'm not stupid. It's pretty obvious that you like him. I mean, I've seen you acting extra shy around him ever since you started tutoring him and he called your brain sexy. And after that party and you guys dancing, it was even more obvious."

Twilight sighed as she put Spike down.

"Look Spike, while I admit I do have some feelings for Ranma, I'm not sure if I REALLY like him. And besides, I'm all but positive that some of the others like him too." She said as she hugged herself.

"You mean like, Pinkie and Fluttershy? I kinda think Rainbow Dash likes him too." Spike said.

Twilight sighed again as she started thinking about all of the things going through her head.

(Cue Music)

She sang as she walked over to her window. She rested her head in her hand and started thinking about Ranma.

She spun back to her room as memories of the times she spent with Ranma flooded into her head.

She clutched her head as she thought more about Ranma and her friends.

She sighed as she hugged herself again as Spike nuzzled up to her leg. She picked him up and walked around her room until she was in front of a picture of her, Ranma and the rest of the gang.

Her mind was flooded again with memories of her and Ranma. But at the same time, she thought about the times she saw her other friends showing signs of liking Ranma too.

She sighed as she put Spike on her bed and walked back to her open window.

Scenes of her and Ranma from their past adventures and even the gala came flooding into her head. She closed her window and pulled out her phone, looking through pictures of her and Ranma.

She started crying as she thought about what would happen if her friends found out that she had feelings for Ranma and so did they. The fight that would ensue, the broken friendship...and Ranma blaming himself for it.

She put her phone away and walked over to her bed.

She climbed into bed, Spike snuggling next to her. Doing his best to try and comfort his friend.

Twilight and Spike drifted off to sleep, but sadly, Twilight's mind was full of thoughts, not sure what way to go. Should she try to date Ranma and risk her friends' feelings, or should she let him go and risk losing the man she might be meant to be with?

Pinkie:

Pinkie was on the verge of pulling her hair out by the roots. She had just gotten home, acted like she was her usual happy self...but then she started FREAKING OUT! Why? Because, while she had been aware that some of her friends, namely Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash, had big crushes on Ranma, she had just come to the realization that SHE also had feelings for the pigtailed boy!

"What do I do? What do I do! WHAT DO I DO!?" She said as she ran around her room, panicking like that world was about to end.

"I can't like RANMA-KUN! I mean, what's not to like about him? He's cute, handsome, honest, sometimes to a fault, but he's so sweet like candy and he always tries to help his friends. AAAAHHHHH!" She cried as she bashed her head into her dresser.

"Oh! I know that Fluttershy likes him, I mean, it's SO OBVIOUS! And I can tell that Rainbow Dash has been crushing on her Kung Fu teacher ever since the fight with Kodachi. And I've been sure that Applejack's been crushing on him ever since I saw him working on her farm! OH! Why did this have to happen!"

She was so not happy right now. Honestly, she had always dreamed of sharing a hot boyfriend with her friends, but that's what it was always supposed to be! A DREAM!

"I want to share Ranma-kun with the others, but I just know that none of them would ever consider that! Oh cruel fate, why did you have to do this to me!" She cried as she fell on her bed in a heep.

(Cue Music)

Pinkie starts singing as she looks at a few pictures of her and Ranma at a few parties.

Pinkie keep singing as she starts to remember various times she and Ranma hung out together. Laughing and playing and having fun together. As she pauses from singing, she looks around at the pictures of all her other friends. She starts to cry as she thinks of all the signs that Ranma has won more than just her heart.

Pinkie walks around as she looks around her room

Pinkie sings as more memories of her and Ranma hanging a good time come to her head.

Pinkie looks at pictures of her, Ranma and the rest of the girls, all smiling and having fun.

As she keeps singing, she thinks of how her and Ranma being together could ruin the friendships that she holds so close to her heart. She lays on her bed as she hugs her pet Gummy close to her. She cries a little as she thinks about how no matter what she may do...her heart will hurt. Cause she'll either lose her friends or lose the one man she actually fell in love with.

Rarity:

Rarity was not sure how to feel right now. Ranma, her newest friend. One who had become very dear to her after only after a few short months. He was a brute and sometimes he could get on her nerves, but when it comes to being the friend you need, he had it down in aces.

"But why?" She asked herself. "Why did I have to fall in love with him?"

Yes, Rarity had to admit it, Ranma, not some rich, good-looking man, not some royal, not any of the things she'd ever imagine, but Ranma a, as he put it, street rat, a down to Earth street bum, had become the one to steal her diamond studded heart.

"But..." She started crying. "Why? Why did I have to fall for someone who my friends had fallen in love with?"

She knew Fluttershy liked him, she was sure Rainbow Dash and Applejack liked him, Pinkie was a give away, and she had a feeling Sunset might after being literally inside the man's head. So why? Why did she have to fall for a man who was all but spoken for?

She picked up a picture of her and Ranma during their last dance lesson. She sighed. Why did Ranma have to be so handsome, and kind, and charming, and funny, and cute, and witty, and...the list goes on.

"He may not be perfect but..." She sighed as she trailed off. "But that's what makes him perfect."

(Cue Music)

Rarity started dancing around her room as she envisioned Ranma and her dancing together. She smiles as she thinks back to all the times she spent with him.

Rarity remembers all the times she and Ranma argued, made up, hit each other with food, laughed about it. And then she started thinking about their dance lessons.

Rarity smiles as she looks at other pictures she took with Ranma.

She twirls around as she remembers even more of her fondest memories with Ranma. She has stars in her eyes as she hugs herself and smiles warmly.

Rarity thinks of how Ranma makes her smile and how he always was there when she needed him.

Rarity dances around her room again but starts to look sad as she sees pictures of all of her friends. She thinks of all the signs that showed that they had feelings for Ranma too. She starts to tear up as the weight of the current problem starts to hit her in the heart.

Rarity looks in her mirror. Her mind and heart at war inside her and it shows on her face as tears start to fall.

Rarity puts her phone on her night stand and looks up at her ceiling. She was in love with a man who most of her friends were also in love with. She placed her hand on her heart, and shed a few more tears.

"What am I going to do?" She asked as her cat crawled up to her and snuggled with her, trying to calm her down. Rarity hugged Opal as she drifted off to sleep. But a sleep that was anything but restful.

Fluttershy:

Fluttershy was crying into her pillow. Why? Because her heart was being torn into pieces. Even her pet bunny, Angel, was worried. He hopped over to her and tried to get her attention, but even he couldn't bring a smile to her face.

"Oh Angel, what am I going to do?" She asked as she picked up the little bunny and hugged him close to her chest.

"I can't be in love with Ranma. I mean, I like him and all, and he's such a good friend and person, even after the horrible life he's had. But...But..." She trailed off as more tears spilled from her eyes.

"But I just know that everyone else loves him too! I can see it. Pinkie practically throws herself at him, Rainbow and Applejack blush and fall all over themselves when they talk about their solo training with him, Rarity practically acted like Ranma was her prince tonight, Twilight always trips up whenever someone asks about her and Ranma's tutoring and Sunset..." She trailed off again.

"Sunset's actually been inside his mind. She's seen his life, or parts of it. But she knows more about what he's been through than anyone else. I can just tell she loves him too." She sighs as she gets off of her bed and walks around her room.

"Why?" She asked herself. "Why did I have to kiss him that one time? Why?" She askes again as Angel starts to really worry about his owners problem. She sighs.

"But if I could go back..." She starts to smile sadly.

"...I'd do it all over again."

(Cue Music)

Fluttershy walks around as she struggles with her feelings. She looks out her window at the stars and the moon.

As she keeps singing, she sees Ranma's face in the sky and smiles sadly.

She starts thinking about all the happy memories she and Ranma have shared. All the smiles, the jokes, the times he made her laugh. She looks at a picture of them and sighs.

Fluttershy walks around her room, clutching her hands to her head as she fights back her tears. She hugs herself.

She looks at the various pictures of her and her friends. She sees pictures of Ranma with them and lets a single tear fall from her eye.

Fluttershy dances around as she sings. She thinks of Ranma and her playing with Tsukirou and dancing at the diner after the gala. She comes out of her daydream and crys.

What's wrong with my tongue

Fluttershy keeps struggling with herself.

Fluttershy picks up Angel and walks to her bed, as she lays on her bed, she picks up her phone and looks at pictures she and the others took before and after the gala. She crys, not sure what to do. She puts her phone down and falls asleep, Angel snuggling up next to her, wishing that there was something that he could do. Unknown to the pink haired girl, her feelings were shared by all six of the women that she feared hurting and the one boy who was at the center of it all.
