Chapter 4, Finally, sorry for the wait. I'll explain at the end (it has been a long time but I'm still here).

Korra's POV

I woke up with the morning sun rays through the window. Sighed heavily. I hated the mornings, but as an agreement with Tenzin, I had to wake up early to discuss and train for the Championship.

I got off bed and changed into my clothes before sorting out my hair in its usual wolf tails and grabbed my pokeball, and headed down to get some breakfast.

Once there, I saw Pema laying out some breakfast. She turned around and smiled cheerfully at my, which I precipitated.

"Hi Korra, glad to see you're up. Come sit down and have some breakfast, "she said as she laid out a plate of food.

"Thank you," I said as a sat down. I grabbed a dumpling and bit into it. Man, this is delicious. Back in the South, we would mostly eat meats, but this vegetarian food is just as great.

"Wow, Pema, this food is amazing," I said happily will chewing softly. She smiled again

"No problem, I'm more than happy to have more company here," she said while walking back to the kitchen. "Besides my kids can use someone like you to play with them", She shouted out from the kitchen.

I smiled happily but also sighed. I met the children at dinner, and both Ikki and Meelo were both rambunctious on the questions on who I was and why I was here. The oldest Jinora was calm and simply asked me small questions and offered to help me study Pokémon and their moves and abilities, which I gladly accept. She is somehow smart as Tenzin focuses more on reading and studying rather than battling.

Once I finished my breakfast, I stood up and was about to take my plate in the kitchen when I saw a green Pokémon with a big yellow flower on its head float from the kitchen and landed on the table next to my plate.

I raised a brow. What kind of Pokémon was that? "Skip Skiploom," it said happily as it eyes glowed light blue and lifted the plate and place on it flower then turned and floated back into the kitchen.

I guess it was a helper or Pema's, it defiantly seemed like a flying type that was natural here being AIR Temple Island and all.

I shrugged and moved out to the training grounds to begin. I saw Tenzin with a black metal like bird Pokémon. Woah, that looked like a powerful Pokémon, that to be expected from a person like Tenzin. Calm but strong when needed to be.

"Hi Tenzin, what training are we going to do, and what type of Pokémon is that?" I asked, excited to get started.

"Well Korra, this Pokémon is going to help with training along with my other Pokémon and as for type it is, this should provide that answer to that and how to enter the Championship", he said giving me a red phone.

I took it and looked at it with curiosity. What is it? All of a sudden, it shot up and turned around, facing me with a huge playfully grin.

"Gah," I shouted as I jumped back in surprise. "What in the world."

"Hello," it said as it floated toward me. "I'm the top modification of the Rotom Pokedex. Activating scan,"it said. It eyes turn clockwise while projecting a blue beam that went up and down. I raised a brow.

"Scan complete, data transferred nice to meet you Korra", it says its eyes turned back to normal and floated next to me.

"Woah Tenzin, you actually got me a Pokedex. Thank you. How did you even get this? This cost a fortune, especially with the full modal, "I asked excitedly and surprised.

"Well, working on the Council can have its benefits, this should help you identify Pokémon, and their types as well enter you into the Championship," he said.

"Woah, thanks, Tenzin. I'll head to the Pokémon Centre to sign up after training."

"Speaking off which, let's begin with some speed training with Corviknight," he said while stroking his Pokémon.

"Corviknight huh", I said, walking closer to it and looking up.

"Allow me," Rotomdex said as it went up and turned landscape, showing a picture of Corviknight with some writing.

"Corviknight, the Raven Pokémon. This Pokémon reigns supreme in the skies. The black lustre of its steel body could drive terror into the heart of any foe. This Pokémon is known for the main transportation of people and airbenders. It said that Corviknight is the strongest Pokémon living in the skies."

"Woah thanks Rotom", I said as it went back in my pocket. "Man, that is going to be convenient. Anyway, so what are we going to do for training."

"Well, this Corviknight is mine and called Oogi. There are many Corviknights that are all called different names to identify them. Now I want you to take out your Pokémon and practice dodging some of Oogi moves. This is just the first lesson, so we'll just use simple moves, "he said.

"Ok, seems simple," I replied as I reached into my strap and grabbed Naga's and Piplup's Pokeballs, and opened them.

"Ok Naga, Piplup, this is our first lesson with a true trainer, so let's give it our all!"I shouted proudly.

Both Naga and Piplup nod with determination. I laugh in my head, they we clearly my Pokemon. I look over to Tenzin. "Ok Tenzin were ready."

"Ok well I go easy on you since this is just training not battling", he said as his Corviknight raised its wings let out a shriek that let out a powerful wing that almost made us fall down.

Well... This shouldn't be to hard... Right?

Tenzin's POV

Well training went just as I expected. When we started I would just tell my Corviknight just to give off just of winds to worn them out but also help raise there ground and speed to fight back. For the rest of it, Korra kept ordering and onslaught of random moves, no strategy just pure aggression. I swear if this is what the girl think what goes down in a battle especially in the league... Then it won't go well if she even manages to get there.

Finishing this thought, I took notice of her exhausted Pokemon laying on the ground. The poor things look tired due use of onslaught of moves.

I sighed and shook my head before heading over to Korra, who was kneeling next her Pokemon. "Well.. that was an good effort on practicing on moves", I said as she returned her Pokemon to their Pokeballs.

She sighed an stood up with a irritated look on her face. I coughed, "Well if you wish you can go heal up at the main Pokemon center and sign up for the league".

She raised a brow, "Is that all I need to do?" She asked, she obviously didn't know how to get accepted.

"Well no..", I started. "That's just to place your name down, to fully be a contender there more but I will explain that when you come back."

"Ok see ya", she said as she was about to rush out but I grabbed her shoulder.

"But come straight back and don't get any trouble. Chief Beifong is already mad I let you stay after the damage you caused yesterday and I don't need you to get into any trouble again. Got it?"

"Yeah don't worry Tenzin, see ya", she said as she shrugged off my arm and headed for the docks. I sighed deeply, why did I sigh up for this again. Just be patient Tenzin. It will be fine... Hopefully.

Korra's POV

After my embarrassing performance, I headed to the city into the Pokemon center and gave my pokeballs to the lady to heal while I signed up.

"So just place your pokedex here and you be all signed up", the lady said as the counter machine screen changed into a outline for my pokedex.

"Ok", I said as I brought out my pokedex and placed it on the screen. It then got processed while a picture of me (I guess my profile picture) and soon it showed a green check and said underneath 'Registration complete'.

"Well your all set", she said as a beep sound came from the machine where my pokeballs were. "And looks like your Pokemon are fully healed", she said and passed and tray holding them.

I smiled and took them and placed them in my bag. "There and good luck when the league starts", she said with a smile and waved.

"Thanks", I said as I ran out and ran back to the island. Well that was easy, now back to training to actually win the league.

I was almost at the pier when I saw the probending arena. I always wanted to see it when I was a kid and now I was just a ferry ride away. I'm sure Tenzin wouldn't mind allowing me to visit to see a match or two.

I kept looking at the arena that I didn't realize the boat has arrived back on the island. I hoped off the boat and was about to look for Tenzin when I saw three pokemon flying around aiming at something... Shiny?

It wasn't till I got closer that I notice it was a ring and one of the Pokemon grabbed it with is tail and gracefully on the tower on one of the hooks attatched to the top.

"GOAL!" I heard as I covered my ears before noticing Ikki jumping up and down, Meelo pouting while Jinora rolled her eye while covering her ears like me.

"Hi guys, what your up to?" I asked as I walked closer. They all turned their attention to me and rushed forward.

"Hey Korra did you sign up at the Pokemon center? How many people where there? How was training with dad? Was it hard?" Ikki said quickly while jumping up and down. I blinked at her, this kind was seriously hyper.

"Um yeah I did, a good amount and yes it was hard", I said trying to respond to all her questions.

"Anyway what are you doing", I said as I looked back to the tower and the pokemon flying down to their respected trainers.

"Well its a fun airbending/flying type game", Jinora explained as the white bird pokemon landed on her shoulder. "Flying types fly up and try to place the ring onto the hook, you can battle your opponent and KO for the win. But more over its about flying with the wind and attacking to get the advantage. Usually take place higher in the sky and an area with more powerful winds. But this is just a small one for pratice and fun games", she finished explaining.

"Wow that sound fun", I said when i took notice of their pokemon. "I guess these Pokemon are yours?" I asked.

"Yeah when dad sometimes travels with Oogi he caught some more flying types for all those people in our home and gave us these as gifts", Meelo said while giving his small Pokemon a head scratch.

"Gave them as gifts, gave them as gifts", the bird pokemon repeat in Meelo same voice. I looked at it shocked while they all giggled.

"Um rotom explain please", I said as I brought out my rotom phone and place it toward the Pokemon. It showed me the pokemon image and its type.

"Chatot, the music note Pokemon. A normal and flying type. It tongue is just like a human, resulting in mimicking human speech and other Pokemon cries. It uses its ability to fool both human and pokemon for fun or to fool for food."

Oh that makes sense, I then face the rotom phone to Ikki pokemon on her head. "And this one?" I said as the image processed and showed its image and type as well. It wasn't really flying more like gliding.

"Emolga, the sky squirrel Pokemon. A electric and flying type. They live on treetops and glide inside o cape-like membrane and released when gliding. As it glides through the air, it scatter electricity stored in their pouches so othe flying type stay away. They love sweet berries and often sor to much in their cheeks that the are unable to fly."

"Cool and forgot to add it looks adorable", I said as I rubbed it head. "Emolg", It said as it landed into my arms and smiled at me adorably. So cute. But then it showed a cheeky grin. No soon, I felt a shocking current through my body as I it shocked me powerfully as I screamed.

When the current passed and left me burnt as a crisp, I let go and fell to the ground with the shock still flowing through.

"Yeah probably should mentation Emolga a prankster, she keeps shocking dad as well", Ikki explained with a giggle as the her Emolga flew back on top of her head and laughed. I sighed in my head, still weak.

"Now.. you te..ll me.." I said slowly with a mumble still due to the shock. I slowly sat up on my knees at look at Jinora and her Pokemon as see looked me with apologetic look while stifling a giggle.

"And finally I said as I showed my rotom phone (which was also burnt) to face her Pokemon."

"Rufflet, the eaglet Pokemon. A normal and flying type. A combative pokemon with powerful sharp talons which it uses to crush berries. It recklessly stands up to any Pokemon, no matter strong and larger it is to get a challenge. However when it loses it bawls.

I looked up and raised a brow. If that Rufflet just lost why is it so calm, it wasn't a proper battle but still.

"If your wondering why its calm", Jinora said answering my thoughts. "Its because dad got as an egg and since being in a calm environment all it life and with me, even this born warrior can be determined in battle but calm and patient even in a lose. Some Pokemon can have a different personality due to how their raised. Like how some pokemon types can't stand each other but get along. It is considered rarer for nature though", Jinora explained as I look bewildered. Man this kid is smart as Tenzin.

Noticing my expression, she shrugged. "I read a lot of books and I'm actually the calm child airbender", she said while glancing over her siblings, who stick their tongue out back. I laughed.

"Well lets head back for a break and lunch", I said. They all jumped up in excitement and rushed to the building with their Pokemon following. I guess Jinora not that calm.

I think this is going to be fun place to live during training. Just the shocks that is worrying... Speaking of which, I collapse back to the ground. I be their for a break while I have a quick one here from the shock. Ha ha...Ow...

Well that was a fun chapter and deciding on the pokemon. Its been a while and sorry, again busy with school work and other things but I'm back and boy I missed a lot, generation 9, hisui pokemon (these will be in futuer chapters don't worry). And I'm sad that Ash journey end so I will try to bring lots of cameos like in this story. But watched Japanse dub of Pokemon Horizons and it has a great start so check that out. Anyway hopefully I update more recently and next chapter two new compains for Korra will come and we will finally see Pokemon x probending .
