Right we're on the fifth part now. More Ash and Dawn action coming along. They introduce their starters to each other, and talk about their lives until this point. Some drama happens at the end of day as well. The wonder of high school.

Courtyard

Ash and Dawn sat under the Old Birch Tree in the school's courtyard. They caught up on the current events in their lives and shared some intimate touches here and there. Ash was whispering sweet nothings to Dawn as he comforted her during her recounting her first lose, while she did the same upon hearing his failure to win in the Kanto League.

Dawn then asked, "Ash. Did you really mean everything you said to Ursula back in the Cafeteria? About dedicating your battles to me."

Ash sat up, placing a hand under her chin and turning her face so their eyes could meet. He smiled softly at the uncertainty in her azure orbs.

"Of course Dawn. The thought of your eyes shining with a bright smile on your face was what got me through my run in Jonto. The thought of you being proud of me for achieving my dream is what made me push myself harder to win the league. Even if I didn't see you there in the crowd, the hope that you were watching never left my heart." He admits softly.

She smiles eyes shining brightly, "I did the same thing during my rum in the Grand Festival there. I thought of your boyish grin and the shine of pride in yours eyes as I got through each round. I also hoped you were in the crowds watching as I performed the appeals and fought in the battles. You were also my motivation for reaching my goals."

"Remember when we made our promises to each other that day?" He asked referring to the day before she left Pallet Town.

She nods, "Yes I do."

"I have never forgotten about you Dawn. And your still a striking resemblance of that girl I once knew, only much older and wiser." Ash whispers placing a lock of hair behind her ear.

Dawn smiles running a hand through his own hair, "I recognized your boyish grin as well. "

"May I see it?" He asked playing with strands of her hair.

She knew what he meant and unwrapped her shawl and revealed the Piplup charm he had given her on that same day. He held the charm with his fingers, he smiled as a sense of nostalgia came to him. Dawn also held the charm that under his wrist band.

"After all this time. I never thought you wouldn't take it off." Dawn whispers smiling.

Ash shook his his head , "Of course, I wouldn't take it off Dawnie. You gave it to me, I'd never be able to forgive myself if I had lost this precious thing. The only time I took if off was when I bathed."

"Same with me. The necklace meant to much to me that I'd never forgive myself if had misplaced it anywhere I went." She admits.

He then says, "You know I'd love to meet your Piplup. I'm glad you got the starter that you wanted! And you two seem like a great pair together."

"And I wanna see your Pikachu. He seems like a tough Pokemon." Dawn comments smiling as she released her starter.

Ash let out a soft whistle, calling his starter who ran down the tree to greet them.

"Pikapi!" Says the yellow as he nuzzled Ash's cheek.

Ash chuckles, "Hey Pikachu! I'd like you to meet someone. This is Dawn, she's a childhood friend of mine."

"Hello Pikachu! It's nice to officially meet you. I saw you battle the Lily of the Valley Conference a year ago and you were great!" Dawn's says petting Pikachu on the head.

"Chaa." He says contentedly.

"And this is Piplup." Dawn says waving her hand at the Blue Penguin.

Piplup looked at Ash and placed his flipper out, "Piplup!"

Ash chuckled shaking the Penguin's flipper, "It's nice to meet you as well. You were spectacular during your final battle at the Grand Festival."

Piplup preened and puffed out his chest, "Pip. Piplup."

Unfortunately due to it's display of Pride it also fell face into the grass. Causing the pair to laugh at his antics.

Ash shook his head a smile on his face, "He surely has character alright."

"He's honestly too prideful for his own good but I love him all the same. His water type moves actually help tame my hair." Dawn says giggling.

Ash chuckles playing with a stray lock of her blue hair, "Oh, I almost forgot about your case of bed hair. No wonder it looks so shiny today, at least you won't have take ages sorting it out anymore."

She poked him for the teasing, but laughed along as she knew what he said was true. As the warning bell rang they got up and dusted themselves.

"What's your class for this afternoon?" Ash asked

Dawn thought for a moment, "Battle tactics."

"The one with Mr. Brandon, right?" Ash inquired smiling.

Dawn nods, "Yeah that's the one."

"That's an elective. I'm taking it too, we can go together!" He offered a full blown grin on his face.

She beamed excitedly, "Let's go then. We don't want to be late. Pip..."

She was about to return her starter into his Pokeball, but Ash stopped her. She turned and looked at him with a raised brow.

He chuckled, "Let him stay here. The school has a place where the Pokemon can play around. Hey Pikachu, come here a moment."

"Pikapi. Pika?" Says the yellow mouse stopping in front of his trainer.

Ash kneeled and looked his starter in the eyes, "Would you mind showing Piplup around the gardens and showing him to the play place?"

"Pika chu! Pika Pi!" Says the electric Pokemon with an enthusiastic smile.

Dawn petted her starter and spoke to the Penguin as well, "Do you want to stay here and go around with Pikachu, Piplup?"

The blue Penguin waved it's flippers happily, "Pip Piplup!"

The two Pokemon ran off much to the mirth of their trainers. Ash turned to Dawn and offered her his arm.

He let out a cheeky smile, "Shall we my lady."

"Such a gentleman. Yes, we shall!" She giggled slipping her hands on crook of his arms.

And off they walked to their final classes for the day.

And cut! I do hope you all don't mind the short chapters. And so a little cute bonding moment between our two to be lovebirds. What happens next? Serena is gonna be paired with another guys, maybe Calem or an OC.
