Ch 11 The Land of the Rising Sun
Surry, Private Drive
It was the middle of the night; a flash of light appeared in the center of the street. An old man wearing old Wizard robes, he held a small cylinder in his hand and raised it in the air.
Each of the lights from the lampposts magically transfers into the cylinder, causing the streets to go dark.
Once the streets were cleared of lights, a grey cat came out from the bushes and approach the old Wizard. The cat's shadow morphs into a Human Witch, meeting up with the old Wizard.
"Albus, have you brought any news about the Boy's whereabouts?" Minerva McGonagall asked the Headmaster of Hogwarts,
"I'm afraid not, my dear. The instruments that I have in my office aren't working." Albus Dumbledore informed the Transfiguration Professor of his attempted investigations. "Those instruments are supposed to keep track of young Harry, if those aren't working then I can't locate him."
Minerva sighs, knowing those instruments were top in their line in keeping someone in check (In Wizard standards). "Anyways, have you found some clues about where Harry Potter could be?"
"I'm afraid not, the only thing I have was Arabella's statement on the Dursleys. I have to say, it's it lines up when you added that your instruments aren't working." Minerva said, ready to inform the old Headmaster of the information she received.
"Please, go on Minerva." The old Wizard urges the old Witch to proceed.
"Petunia and Vernon Dursley along with Marge Dursley are convicted and charged with multiple Federal crimes. Their Son, Dudley Dursley was sent to a Boarding school for misbehaving Children with a criminal record in his name." Minerva stated, holding her heart that she was right about the horrid Family.
Minerva looks at Dumbledore, a bit peeved that this happened because of him not listening. "Albus, I told you those people aren't suited for the care of Mr. Potter. But you have to go on about them being his only Family." The Transfiguration Professor scolded the old coot.
Albus sighs, seeing he has misplaced his chess piece. "But at the time, the Blood Ward is the only thing that could keep Harry Potter safe from You-Know-Who." Dumbledore defended his stance on the situation.
"If there was anything else that could guarantee Mr. Potter's safety, then I'll be glad to take it," Dumbledore said before continuing. "It's for the Greater Good," His eyes sparkled causing Minerva to calm down.
"Fine, but the issue is where is Harry Potter?" Minerva changed the subject, worried for the Child of her promising Students.
Albus looked at the former home of the Dursleys, seeing there was nothing he could do for them. "I'm afraid the only thing to do is to wait until Harry comes of age to receive his Letter, wherever he is." He said, frowning at the difficult situation he found himself in.
"Wherever, Harry is, I hope he has a kind and loving Family." Minerva set off ahead of Dumbledore, returning to Hogwarts before the Headmaster.
"Tch, this isn't good." Dumbledore clicked his teeth, his plan for coming here was to find any clues on Harry's whereabouts. "The Boy must be found in order to prevent the coming of the new Prophecy."
Dumbledore looks up at the Star, remembering what Sybill Trelawney told him before. "The Prophecy has diverged, the Sixth will emerge with the aid of the Lost Son, and the one who commands the Stars shall raise his heir."
"A new Prophecy," Dumbledore frowns, not liking the sound of it. He took a deep breath before heading to the end of the street, "Well, desperate times call for desperate measures,"
Chaldean British Outpost
Ritsuka sat in the dining room, reading the news on his tablet. He took a sip from his morning coffee, handed by one of the many Daikokuten maids. He looks at the entrance and sees his Wife entering the dining room.
"Ritsuka, I've called the airport and our flight will be ready when we get there," Mashu informed her Husband of their departure. "The Daikokuten Maids are loading our luggage into the car,"
"So we're ready to depart soon?" Ritsuka asked, shutting off his work tablet and looking at his Wife. "Koyanskaya and Holmes are coming with us, right?"
"Yes, Koyanskaya has already gone ahead and booked us, Holmes is here doing some last-minute work with Lucius-san," Mashu informed the black-haired Magus. She looks at the two pieces of luggage, noting to be Harry's belongings, being brought down from the second floor.
"Ritsuka, what about Harry's lessons? What are we going to do about his education?" Mashu asked, a bit concerned for her Sons's education.
The Magus smiles at his Wife, "I don't think we need to worry about that," Ritsuka ensures his Wife that there's nothing to worry about, "After all, the Outposts are filled with people with many lessons to be taught."
Mashu wasn't convinced. She felt like Harry needs the basic education that other Children around his age should receive. "Ritsuka, I know everyone has their own life lessons to depart on Harry-kun. But I feel like he should at least have a basic education first," She explains. "After all, the knowledge we have isn't known outside of Chaldea."
"You're right as always, Mashu," Ritsuka admits, finding reason with Mashu's words. "I'll speak to Moriarty since he is his tutor." The last master of Chaldea said,
"Isn't Professor Moriarty with Harry for his lesson?" The former Demi-Servant asked her Husband,
Ritsuka smiles, "That's Archer Moriarty. I'm speaking about the Ruler one,"
Just like that, the said Ruler Servant appeared next to Ritsuka. "Speak of the Devil and he shall appear." Moriarty greeted his master, "Now, what is it you ask of me, master?"
In the Library, Harry sat down with Draco learning Math equations from the old Professor. Draco attends Professor M's Math lessons since he is going to be the next head of the Animusphere's one day, and that comes with a lot of calculations.
Harry leans to Draco, a bit confused with the Archer's lecture. "(Hey, Draco, do you understand what Professor M is saying?)" He asked,
"(Not at all, I think he went into his College Professor persona again.)" Draco commented, noting that Moriarty was going off into Coding. "(You better say something, we're supposed to learn Sixth Grade Math,)"
"(Wait, why me?)" Harry asked, getting a bit confident after the ordeal with his Relatives but still a bit shy.
Draco glares at the heir of Chaldea, "(Cause, he's your Father's Ser-"
"Boys, why are you whispering during my lecture?" Moriarty asked the two Children before him,
The two flinched, hearing the Crime Lord's voice speak in a raised tone. "U-Um, Professor…w-we were just saying that-"
"You're going off-topic, we weren't even prepared to learn Coding yet," Draco said right on the bat, not even sugarcoating it.
Harry nodded, confirming what his pale blonde friend said was true.
Moriarty paused before looking at the clear board behind him. "Ah, it seems I did." He cleared his throat before placing down his marker. "Well, it seems today's lesson is over rather early. Just forget everything I said about using numbers to code and stuff."
"R-Right,"
Both Draco and Harry left the Library, walking through the halls of the Outpost. "Well, that was something," Harry commented,
"Yeah, you get used to it. Father has asked the Professor to be my tutor since I am going to be using Math when the time comes to take over the Family." Draco sighs,
"Take over? As in your going to be the next director of this place?" Harry asked, assuming that was it.
Draco flinched, realizing he said too much. He's aware that Harry wasn't told the truth despite accepting everyone has a slight difference from them. "U-Um, yeah, that's right. Uh…" He looks around, trying to change the subject.
"Fou, Fou!" The two Boys looked at the incoming Beast,
"Fou!" Harry smiles, leaning down to let Fou climb on his arm and sit on his shoulders. He giggles when the Beast licks his cheeks, "Fou, Fou!"
"Stop that Fou, that tickles," Harry giggled before looking at Draco, "What?"
Draco whistles, shocked that the Beast of Comparison is actually licking someone other than Mashu or Ritsuka. "Well, for starters Fou is literally licking you. He hardly licks anyone other than your parents."
Harry looks at the Beast, scratching his chin. "I guess that's the reason,"
"In any case, are you ready for today?" Draco changed the subject, asking his friend about today's event.
"What do you mean? What is today?" Harry asked the Magus,
"Today is the day you're heading to Chaldea's Japanese Branch with your Parents," Draco informed the next heir of Chaldea.
"Really? That's today?" Harry asked, a bit confused about the date. "I thought it won't be until another month."
Draco shook his head, confirming that he was wrong. "No, everything is set, and I overheard Mother speaking with Mashu about it last week."
"Oh, I guess I was…a bit busy," Harry answered,
The young boy sighs, crossing his arms at him. "I swear, if I hadn't introduced you to Anime and Manga then you might've been on track with things," Draco said, starting to regret introducing Harry to his little hobby.
"Well, if you didn't introduce me to those things, then we wouldn't be close as friends," Harry commented, getting snarkier like Ritsuka.
Draco instantly recognizes the snarky personality. His eyes dulled as he turns to Fou, "Seems like I'm not the only one who influenced you." He commented,
"Fou, Fou," Fou agrees with the blonde Boy.
"There you are, Harry." Harry looks up, seeing Castoria approaching him. "Master and Mashu were looking for you. Your flight to Japan will be in a few hours,"
Harry turns to Draco, feeling like things are going too fast. "But I didn't even say a proper job to say goodbye to Draco and his Family," He said, feeling a bit of guilt for leaving so soon.
"It's fine, as long you're in one of the Chaldean Outposts, then you can call me at any time." Draco smiles before leaning to Harry's ears, "(Besides, I hear that Japan has some exclusive Manga there,)" He whispers before stepping back.
Harry nodded before looking at Castoria, "What about my things?"
"It's already set, now come on. Master and Mashu are waiting in the lobby." Castoria took Harry's hand and ran to the front of the Outpost.
Harry looks back, seeing Draco waving at him.
Fou was gripping on Harry's jacket, moving into his hood to prevent himself from falling.
Once both Castoria and Harry arrived at the lobby, Ritsuka was talking to Lucius. Mashu was speaking to Narcissa before laughing,
Harry then spots Professor M, Morgan, and Amakusa waiting patiently for his Parents to finish.
"Master!" Ritsuka looks to Castoria, hearing her call his name. "Caster, I see you found Harry." He commented,
Castoria nodded, stepping to the side. "Harry just finished his lesson with the Professor, both he and Draco were exiting the Library." She informed the black-haired Magus.
Mashu looks at her Son, smiling down at her. "Harry, remember when we said that we're going on a trip?" She asked, seeing if he remembered what they said before.
Harry nodded responding to his Mother's sentence. "Yeah, I do."
"Well, that trip is today. I'm sorry we didn't inform you early, but we were a bit busy preparing other things." Mashu apologizes to her Son for the short notice,
"By that, Mashu means preparations for our arrival." Ritsuka steps in, "A friend of mine, who happens to be the director is preparing our rooms in the Outpost."
Harry saw this as a valid reason why he wasn't in the loop, "Oh, okay Daddy, Miss Mashu."
Even though Harry calls Ritsuka Daddy, Mashu felt a bit left out that he didn't call her Mommy. However, she understands that takes time to even get to the point.
"Professor M is coming with us as your tutor, he'll be able to help you with the Culture in the countries," Ritsuka explains to the young Boy.
Moriarty smiles, inclining his head to the young master. "I'll do my best to educate you, young master." The Ruler said,
Harry accepted the conditions before asking his Parents about a certain Beast. "But, what about Fou?" Fou pops out of Harry's hood, showing himself to the group.
Ritsuka chuckles, ruffling Harry's unkempt hair. "Fou tends to do whatever he wants, if wants to go then it's fine with us." He said, "After all, we're taking a private jet to Japan."
"Private jet?" Harry knew his Parents were rich, he should've expected a private jet to be an added feature.
"Yes, a private jet. Now say your goodbyes to Lucius and Narcissa." Ritsuka took Harry by the shoulders and placed him in front of him.
"Thank you for having me, Mr. and Mrs. Animusphere." Harry thanked the two for hosting him and his Family in the Outpost. He then turns to Amakusa and Morgan standing on the side. "Thank you too, Mr. Kotomine, and Ms. Berserker."
Morgan closed her eyes, accepting the young Wizard's gratitude to her. "Very well,"
Amakusa chuckles, inclining his head to him. "Even your time here is short, it's a pleasure young master." The Ruler Servant commented, "We'll see each other soon."
Lucius steps forward, looking down at his Boss's Son. "Until then, Harry." He looks at Ritsuka, nodding at him.
The group went outside of the Outpost, and Mashu took Harry with her to the Outback.
Ritsuka turns to Lucius, seeing he has something else he wanted to talk about. "Lucius, what is it?" He asked the Magus from Astromancy Department.
"Director, this is something you must hear regarding Harry," Lucius stated, giving the seriousness of this topic. Ritsuka nodded, waiting for him to delve the information to him. "The Ministry is in a frantic state over the disappearance of your Son. In fact, a search for him is being organized by Albus Dumbledore."
Ritsuka covered his mouth, even if this is a serious situation the fact that Dumbledore was a funny name to him. "Sorry, sorry, I'm aware of the situation." He took a deep breath before getting serious. "Lucius, do you know this Dumbledore person?"
"Very, he's the Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. A well-underdeveloped school for Wizards and Witches," Lucius informed the Magus of the school and its Headmaster. "My Son is going there since we do have ties within the Community as Purebloods. Have to keep the appearance to hide the true motivation,"
"Anyways, Dumbledore is an extremist of 'Light Magic', he's also a devout follower of…(ahem) Merlin. He leads a group of like-minded people called the Order of the Phoenix against Voldemort," The Head of the Animusphere Family continued with the information. "In fact, Harry's Birthparents were once a part of the group."
Ritsuka nodded, taking the information in. "So does this Ministry approve of the group?" He asked,
"Not a chance, the Ministry basically ignores what these people do and only concern if Mystery is exposed to the public," Lucius answered Ritsuka's questions,
"Basically it's a vigilante group? Great," Ritsuka sighs, hearing how unpredictable those types of groups are, whether be it Mundanes or Magical.
Ritsuka got all he needed and appreciated Lucius for telling him this. "I trust you to keep tabs on the search, I don't want Harry to live in that kind of condition." He commented,
Lucius nodded before answering him back, "Just you are aware when Harry turns eleven, he'll automatically be on that year's roster." He further informed the director. "Like it or not, they will find him eventually, that's how things work in that school."
Ritsuka took that to heart, he then looked at Morgan. "Berserker, I want you to work with Lucius on this. I know you have your Proper Human History self's memories of those Wizards."
"Of course, my Husband. I'll meet your expectations." Morgan responded, gladly taking up the task set upon her.
With that, Ritsuka waved the British Outpost goodbye and enter the car.
Once they arrived at the British International Airport, they immediately drove up to their private hangar bay. The jet was raring to go once everyone and their luggage were loaded.
Things went smoothly once they took off, Harry was very excited to be on his first plane ride. Throughout the flight, Harry and Fou looked out the window and looked at the clouds.
"We're so high up!" Harry exclaims, seeing the clouds.
"Fou, Fou!" Fou commented, sitting on Harry's head, and looking at the windows.
Ritsuka and Mashu smile, watching Harry look out the window. On the other side of the plane, Koyanskaya was enjoying a cocktail with Moriarty and Holmes.
Mashu looks at Ritsuka, happy to see Harry enjoying the many things Children should enjoy when they're young. "Seems Harry-kun is enjoying the flight, Ritsuka." The former Demi-Servant commented,
Ritsuka chuckles, hearing their Son's exaggerated gasps when he saw the mountains they were flying over. "He sure is, I wonder what's his take when we land in Japan." He added,
The two chuckles, thinking of the wonder on Harry's face when they arrived at their destination.
After a few more hours of flying, the Chaldean Jet reached its destination. The land of the Rising Sun, Japan.
Once the jet landed, Harry walked out of the terminal seeing major differences between the British International Airport and the Japanese one,
"Harry-kun, don't run off now," Mashu called out to her Son, not wanting him to get lost.
"Okay!" Harry responded, looking around in awe at being in a foreign land. "Fou, look at this place, it's amazing!" He spoke to his little friend, still inside his hood.
Fou pops his head out from Harry's hood, looking at the Airport. "Fou, Fou!"
Ritsuka smiles, walking towards his Wife. "I knew it, Harry is excited to be here." He commented on his Son's happy face.
Mashu giggled, seeing her Husband was right. "Of course, Ritsuka."
"Okay, I talked to Hinako, and she said that someone is already here with a car taking us to the Outpost." Koyanskaya walks over to her master and the former Demi-Servant, placing her phone into her pocket.
Both Holmes and Moriarty joined in, standing behind their master. "Since it's going to be another hour or so to the Japanese Outpost, I presume we're heading to the hospital?" Holmes asked his master, knowing whenever he was in his homeland he tends to visit the Hospital.
Ritsuka gave a sad smile, "Well, yeah. I have to visit her,"
"Ritsuka," Mashu held onto her Husband's hand, knowing how difficult it was going to the Hospital for him.
Harry paused, turning around to his Parents as they spoke to the Servants. "What do you think they're saying Fou?" He asked the Fourth Beast of Calamity.
Fou tilts his head, unsure how to answer the young Boy. "Fou?"
"Fujimaru-dono!" A young female around the teens ran from the other side of the Airport. She has grey-blue eyes and black hair tied into a bun on the right side of her head and flowed down into a ponytail. She wore a tan sweater with a black skirt and black shoes with black leggings.
"Fujimaru-kun!" Another woman with dark brown hair and pink eyes waved at Ritsuka. She wore a blue shirt, dark jeans, and a yellow jacket with golden sandals.
Ritsuka blinks, seeing the two females heading over to them. "Caster, Rider, it's good to see you." He greeted his two Servants.
"Hello, Rider-san, Caster-san." Mashu greeted the two, happy to see them again. "How are things? It's been hectic since we've seen each other,"
Ushiwakamaru smiles, happy to be with their master again. "Things have been good so far, we've been getting many applicants for employment at Chaldea." She informed her master of the good news.
"Hinako is under a lot of paperwork because of that." Sanzang Xuanzang added, shrugging her shoulders. "If I have to guess, then it must be your name is well known in your neighborhood. We've gotten some people saying they were your friends when you were just a Child."
Ritsuka chuckles, "Well, I don't if everyone knows my name. I only had a few friends in school," He said, knowing that it must be from the incident years ago.
"Still, having those people around is not good to have for Chaldea," Mashu commented, seeing this might be a problem if left alone.
"I'll handle it," Koyanskaya spoke, taking out her tablet. "Though I need to do some background checking when we get to the Outpost." She commented before Holmes interjects.
"If I may, may I help you in your investigations, Koyanskaya? I am a Detective after all." Holmes offered his services as the Greatest Detective of his time.
Koyanskaya sighs, "Hmmm, why not. I could always use an extra hand for this if I'm going to tackle through those applicants." The Alter Ego stated, accepting the Ruler's aid in this matter.
"Speaking of kids," Ritsuka waved his hand to Harry, signaling him to come over.
Harry saw the signal, approached his Parents, and stood before the two Women. "Rider, Caster, this is Harry, he is our Son." Ritsuka introduced Harry to the Servants.
Harry shyly looks at the two, holding his arm. "H-Hello," He greeted them.
Ushiwakamaru looks at Sanzang before looking back at the Child. The Rider smiles, kneeling to his level. "Hello there, Harry-dono. It's a pleasure to meet you, I'm known as Rider a Servant that serves your Family." She introduced herself to the young Boy. "I also go by Usui Midoriko but call me Midoriko!"
Sanzang smiles, saluting the young master. "Kon'nichiwa, Harry-kun! Welcome to Japan," She greeted him. "I'm Caster, but please call me Onee-chan. We're going to have so much fun together while you're here."
Harry shyly smiles at the two, returning their greetings. "I-It's nice to meet you Miss Midoriko, Miss Onee-chan."
"Nope, no Miss, Harry-kun." Sanzang playfully scolded Harry for using Miss in the name. "Just Onee-chan, okay?" She smiles brightly.
"O-Okay, Onee-chan." Harry smiles, feeling like these two are nice people.
Ushiwaka stood up and looked at her Lord and friend. "Fujimaru-dono, Mashu-dono, Master Li is waiting at the pickup with the car ready," The Rider informed the group. "If we want to go to the Hospital before the traffic starts then we better get going."
"Right, let's head to the baggage station and get our luggage," Ritsuka said to the group,
Harry felt his hand grabbed by Sanzang, causing him to look at her. "Let's go, Harry-kun, this way to the baggage station!" He smiles, having the Caster's cheery personality around relaxes him.
"Okay!" Harry responded, making sure Fou doesn't fall off his shoulders.
