"Telepathy"
In the first 3 years of occupation, Norman was holding a sniper rifle as Cilan stepped out of a transport to speak to a crowd of protestors. Cilan ordered the Comet Empire soldiers to ready their weapons and was about to tell them to open fire when Norman pulled the trigger and got Cilan in a headshot. Leaving as alarms began to sound, Norman had a smile on his face. Back in the present, John and Ash were looking at their forces when a small squadron of Long range Comet Empire Fighters entered Kalos Airspace, their target: Kalos City with 500 Lbs Bombs. They were ready to drop their bombs when Charizard Squadron dove on them and took out 3 of their engines. The three Jets went down as the remaining ones broke off their attack as Charizard Squadron paired up and chased the remaining intruders.
Ash was informed and saw one Jet spin crash into the ground outside the city and saw the explosion from where he was. John walked up to him and said, "Charizard intercepted a squadron of Long range Comet Empire Fighters, looks like Lumiose City was their target." Ash nodded his head and said, "Good for them. We got good men piloting those fighters." Then John said, "We wouldn't have those fighters if we didn't buy them from the states" Ash nodded his head and said, "Yeah." He then looked at his watch and saw the date before he said, "It's been 2 months since the war started." John nodded his head and said, "Yeah, 2 months since I got my cybernetic."
"Two months since the Pikachu sank." Bonnie said as she joined her fellow Aura Users. Ash then said in Telepathy, "Yeah, and we have all the reason to take down the comet Empire." Then John said, "I couldn't agree more, Ash. I got some personal scores to settle" Ash placed a hand on John's shoulder and said, "I know my friend, I know." Bonnie then told them, "and I got word from Otron, another Pikachi-Class ship is in the works." Ash smiled as Pikachu hopped onto his shoulder and said, "About time too." Ash smiled as John chuckled and Bonnie petted Zygarde. Then Zygarde said, "Let's not forget that the loss of Charizard 3 before the Pikachu was sunk was one of our first casualties." Ash nodded his head and said, "We know Zygarde, we know."
Later on, John, Ash, and Bonnie were all told that the final pockets of resistance in Kalos have surrendered. Which meant Kalos was liberated. Ash smiled as John smiled too. Bonnie hugged Max when he came up to them. Max then said, "The troops are ready for the next phase of the plan." Ash nodded his head and said, "Good, I want our troops ready once we finish up here." Max nodded his head and held Bonnie's hand. Soon enough, the Comet Empire's Forces in Kalos surrendered and Kalos was liberated. The Kalos Resistance joined Kalos's Armed forces as the Kalos National Guard. Ash smiled as he was told Serena and Paul were able to escape.
"All according to plan." John said to his friend. Ash nodded his head and said, "indeed my friend. All according to plan." That was when Gary walked up to the two and said, "So what now?" Ash looked at him and said, "Next up is Unova, then Sinnoh, then Hoenn, then Johto, and finally Kanto… where this all started." Gary nodded his head and said, "I see. But like I said before, you two owe me big for keeping Paul's mission secret." Bonnie and Max looked at John and Ash as Bonnie asked, "What's Gary talking about?" John glared at Gary as Ash sighed and explained things to the two.
"That's why you ordered us to capture Paul alive and not kill him." Bonnie said as she crossed her arms. Ash nodded as Max asked, "Was he behind…" and John cut him off by saying, "My car? Yeah he was. It cemented his place there and Tracy is none the wiser." Max nodded his head When Bonnie asked in Telepath, "Do May and Shauna know?" Ash shook his head as did John, to which Bonnie said, "They are going to be mad once they find out the truth." Ash nodded his head and said, "We know, but it's to help us win this war." Then John said, "So far the only people who know Paul's true mission are us five and Serena since she defected to the Kalos Resistance."
"She did?" asked Bonnie. Ash nodded his head again and she said, "Huh, ok." They then all got a message on their phones that the troops were ready to go. Then John said, "Let's relax for at least a week, we need time to replenish our men's supplies and they pushed fast here in Kalos, we need to let the men rest." Ash nodded his head and sent the message out to all his men. For the next few days, the Alliance Army replenished their supplies and the wounded were sent back home to recover. Ash had Admiral Washington leave ships behind that were damaged to get them repaired to defend Kalos from any Comet Empire Counter attacks.
As the allied fleet made the drive to the Unova Region. Ash looked at the map for the landings and John said, "the shore lines on the outskirts of Castelia City can be used to land troops near the heart of Unova. Along with Nuvema Town and Route 17 on the east flank. We can land on Route 4 above Castelia City. In fact, if we can take the connections along the two main rivers, we can divide Unova into thirds while our fleet blockades to keep supplies from reaching Castelia City." Ash smiled and said, "I Like that idea… but remember that Unova is one of the Loyalists. I doubt there's any big resistance to them." Ash then continued to plan their strategy to assault Unova.
Meanwhile, in Castelia City, Burgh was walking down a street and into a restaurant where he ordered a special Item. the Chef nodded his head and pressed a button, opening the door to a secret hallway. When Burgh walked into the hallway, some people were talking in groups when he walked by and saluted him. Burgh saluted back and walked into the command room where he saw the other former Gym Leaders that refused to kneel to Tracy; Lenora, Clay, Skyla, and Drayden. Burgh sat in his seat and said, "Have we been able to contact the Alliance?" Clay leaned in his seat and said, "we've been trying, all non empire transmission outside the region have been blocked." Burgh sighed and said, "Well then, that will make things harder. Either way we need to help the alliance out as much as we can."
Back in the Alliance Fleet, they encountered a Comet Empire Submarine. The destroyers were able to take it down before it did any major damage. The sub had to surface and the crew was taken prisoner. Ash sighed as the crew was made up of men and women from the Kanto and Johto Regions. The crew spit at Ash as they were escorted past him. John walked up to him and said, "you ok? That had to be a lot of spit." Ash nodded his head and said, "Yeah well, I'm an evil man in the eyes of the Comet Empire." John nodded his head and patted his back. After a while, the alliance fleet arrived in Unova's waters. Ash had the aircraft carriers launch fighters and the battleships and cruisers fire at the shore line.
Back in the Unova Resistance headquarters, Air Raid Sirens could be heard as Clay checked the cameras and shouted, "THE ALLIANCE IS HERE!" Burgh and the others smiled and Burgh said, "Excellent, we must get their attention when they land their forces." the others nodded their heads. Back with the alliance forces. Ash looked at John and said, "Lead the landing forces." John nodded his head and said, "You got it man." Ash smiled as his second in command got on a landing craft to land in Castelia City. Ash walked back into his office and called May. she picked up and said, "Hello?" Ash smiled and said, "Hey baby." May smiled and said, "Ash baby! How are things?" Ash chuckled and said, "Good honey, we're about to start the invasion of Unova." May smiled and said, "Good to hear that. How's John?"
"Leading the landing forces like before." Ash told his wife. May smiled and said that she'll let Shauna know her husband was ok. Ash smiled and said, "Thanks honey. Well I got to go now, we're beginning the liberation of UNova now." May nodded her head. Then the two lovers said their goodbyes and hung up. Back in the landing craft, John was at the front with his robotic arm at the ready for when the ramp was down. That was when he heard more Explosions and Ash told John through a Telepathic message, "Um John… several Explosions are being reported but our fighters aren't the ones who made them. The battleships and Cruisers don't even have line of sight on them." John was shocked and replied, "Do you think there's a resistance in Unova?"
"I don't know, Unova was one of the Loyal regions to Tracy… find out will you my friend?" Ash said to John, who replied, "I will my friend." That was when the landing craft got to the shore and the ramp dropped. Leading the charge, John shot several Comet Empire soldiers as they tried to hold back the allied forces. He covered the men as they disembarked the landing crafts. Seeing a Comet Empire Tank, John pulled out his rocket and fired at the tank, destroying it. That was when he saw some soldiers opening fire at the Comet Empire forces as a few shouted, "FOR UNOVA! FOR THE ALLIANCE! FOR FREEDOM!" John took down more Comet Empire soldiers as he approached the group and asked them, "WHo do you represent?" and one soldier, a Staff Sergeant, saluted John and said, "Staff Sergeant O'Hara of the Unovan Resistance. We're here to help you liberate Unova. After the formation of the Comet Empire, we formed under the command of Gym leaders Burgh, Lenora, Clay, Skyla, and Drayden. WE FIGHT FOR THE ALLIANCE!"
"Well I'll be damned, Welcome to the alliance! Focus on protecting the Civilians!" John ordered the resistance fighters to do so. They nodded and ran to do just that while fighting Comet Empire forces. In Kanto, Emperor Tracy was shocked to hear that the alliance forces were already engaging his forces in Unova. He screamed and shouted, "SEND REINFORCEMENTS! NOW!" his subordinates nodded and sent reinforcements from the Kanto National guard to Unova. Back in Unova, Ash was told that they established a beachhead and could join them. So he took the first Helicopter out and landed on the beaches where John and Burgh walked up to him. John said, "Took some hits, 10 dead, 21 wounded, would have been worse if not for the Unova Resistance."
"There's a Unova Resistance here? And Let me guess, Burgh, you are one of the leaders." Ash said with a smile which grew as Burgh nodded his head. Ash then said, "Great to hear that man, who else?" Burgh said, "Besides me there's Lenora, Clay, Skyla, and Drayden." Ash chuckled and said, "of course those four… and that's all I guess?" Burgh nodded his head and said, "Yes, the rest swore loyalty to the comet Empire." Ash sighed as he knew some of them from his journey. But he pushed that aside and said, "What's the status of the city?" John told him, "We got the Comet Empire forces in retreat and the Resistance is keeping the civilians safe from harm while we do so. I also got word that the marines on the outskirts captured the bridges, meaning we've essentially have the enemy trapped here."
"Good, good, then things are going well." Said ash before a radioman ran up to them and said, "SIRS! We just got word from our spy network, Emperor Tracy has sent Unova Reinforcements from Kanto." Ash then said, "Get me admiral Washington and Charizard leader." The Radioman nodded his head. Few hours later, a flight of Comet Empire Transport planes entered Unova's Airspace when Charizard Squadron intercepted them. Charizard leader said, "Command, we have eyes on the transport jets, attempting to reroute." He then went to an open channel and said, "Transport planes, this is Charizard 01 of Charizard Squadron of the Alliance air fleet. Turn back or be forced down." The pilots of the transport planes looked at each other, knowing what would happen if they did turn back.
"We can't go back. We have to complete this mission." said one pilot to his co-pilot. The Co-pilot nodded his head and all the planes continued their course. Charizard leader got pissed and said, "Transport planes, this is Charizard 01 of Charizard Squadron of the Alliance air fleet. Turn back or be forced down. This is your second warning." Still, the transport planes stayed their course. Charizard 01 contacted his command and said, "they're not changing course, permission to force them down?" and Ash said, "Granted Charizard Leader. Do what you have to." Charizard 01 acknowledged his orders and told his squad to shoot the jet engines. The squadron obeyed, flew behind the transport planes and opened fire at the engines, making several go down. The pilots tried to land their planes on the soil but a few went down over the water, where the survivors were picked up by Alliance destroyers and cruisers. Those that managed to crash on the Ground, the crews stayed as the soldiers disembarked, only to be either captured or gunned down by Alliance forces.
"Well this is a bust for the Empire." One alliance soldier said as he stood over prisoners. The other Alliance Soldiers nodded their heads, their Morale high with the string of victories. Ash and John also smiled before they were told that Comet Empire Artillery opened fire at Castelia City. Ash then said, "Locate the Artillery and stop them!" The soldiers nodded their heads and ran to their vehicles. At the Artillery site, Iris watched the Artillery shells strike Castelia City. She smiled at the terror she was inflicting on them. That was when the Icirrus City Gym Leader, Brycen, walked up to her with his Beartic. Iris shivers and said, "Do you mind recalling him? I'm still not used to Ice types." Brycen nodded his head and recalled his Beartic. He then asked, "What is the status of Castelia City?" Iris looked and said, "It's taking our shells, but the Alliance will not win this day."
"Are you sure about that?" Said Max as he aimed his rifle at them with Alliance Special forces as helicopters fired rockets, disabling the artillery. Iris and Brycen growled and raised their hands in surrender. Two special forces soldiers grabbed their hands and cuffed the two as Max called Ash and said, "Artillery's been silenced, and we have two special prisoners, one of them a Traitor." Ash smiled and said, "Copy that Max, bring the traitor, send the other prisoner to the Castelia City Jail." Max acknowledged Ash and took Iris to their command Post as Brycen was taken away to be put in a jail cell.
At the Allied Command Center, Ash and John saw Max bring Iris in and sat her in a seat. Ash glared at her as John said, "Iris, should have known you'd be in a command spot in your home region." Iris glared at them as Ash said, "What's the comet Empire's plan with Unova Iris?" Iris still said nothing. That made John mad and slammed her face into the table and shouted, "WE'RE NOT PLAYING GAMES BITCH! TELL US WHAT WE NEED TO KNOW!" Ash pulled John off her and had Max take him out of the tent. Ash saw Iris's nose begin to bleed so he handed her a towel for her nose. Shocked at his kindness, Iris took the towel and put it to her nose.
"Why are you doing this? I betrayed you." Iris said as she held the towel to her nose. Ash sat down and said, "I realize now that my hatred against you guys wasn't against you, it's against Tracy. He's the mastermind behind it all. Besides I know you guys have a good side. Some not so much. Iris, you and I had a fun time here in Unova. We traveled for a long time and caught tons of Pokémon. So please, tell me the plans Tracy has." Iris sighed and said, "As far as I knew, he just wanted you gone. Once that was done he would have told us his master plan… Ash… I realize now… you were in the right and we were in the wrong… how's Axew?" Ash smiled and called out Axew. Axew saw Iris and stepped back.
"Axew… have I fallen too far to make my old pokémon fear me?" Iris said in shock. Ash then said, "Look Iris, it may take time, but he will trust you. However, you will need to answer for your crimes." Iris sighed and nodded her head, knowing that she needed to be tried. Iris then said, "I'll testify on your behalf Ash." Ash smiled and patted her shoulder. Outside, John and Max saw Iris get taken away as Ash came out of the tent. Ash then walked up to John and decked him in the nose. He then said, "That went too far John." John stumbled as he stood up and said, "Too far? TOO FAR?! WE'RE AT WAR ASH! WE NEED TO BE BRUTAL! BRUTALITY AGAINST BRUTALITY! YOU SAW WHAT THEY DID IN ALOLA! AND IN KALOS?! I SAW CIVILIANS HUNG ASH! LYNCHED!" Soon a group began to gather around the two as Ash said, "I know my friend, but we can't be brutal John. we can't be like them."
"LIKE THEM?! No, We are BETTER THAN THEM! THEY STARTED THIS WAR! THEY SUNK THE PIKACHU! THEY TOOK MY ARM! AND THAT DAMN TRAITOR PAUL BLEW UP MY CAR! If anything… they seem to want me dead more." John ended before walking off as he pushed soldiers out of his way. Later, John sat on a bench looking at the sea when Ash sat next to him and said, "Took it a little too far with that John." John sighed and said, "I guess I did take it too far after you punched me in my face." Ash nodded as the argument he and John had was an act to make the spies for Tracy think there's a division happening between them.
"I saw one person smile when I walked off. I think he's a spy." John said to Ash. Ash nodded his head and said, "Ok, did you use your aura?" This time it was John who nodded his head and said, "Yeah, he's a spy. Been a spy since he came on the plane from Kanto." Ash nodded his head and sighed as he was worried about the spies in his army.
