"Bijuu speaking"

AN: sorry for the delay, I've been so busy this past week with... things. there's also the fact that I had to do and submit projects that I haven't finished so I could pass. it's really a pain, but it's all good now. it took me a while to finish this chapter but here it is!

After dropping Naruto to the hospital, the clone then proceeded to head to the hokage's office to report everything that happened.

When he arrived he immediately told the hokage the situation and what he knew.

"Report" the hokage said, his back turned against the clone, facing the window.

"The original is injured and is currently on the way to the hospital, he looks pretty bloodied and he's also limping when I last saw him. "

"What exactly happened that led to him in that state?" The hokage asked.

" I suspect that he overdid what you asked him to do and it resulted in Naruto entering an enraged state. The original made me in the middle of their fight to catch Naruto off guard but that didn't happen so I just stayed underground and waited for a signal from the original. I was waiting when I suddenly received a weak distress signal from the original, when I arrived at the scene Naruto was giving a beat down to the original and the original couldn't do anything against it."

' how could Naruto possibly put kakashi in that state'. The hokage thought and raised an eyebrow.

He looked towards the clone and then asked. " how exactly was kakashi not able to defend against the strikes of Naruto, a child. The prospect of that just sounds outrageous to me. He's one of the most capable Shinobi I have, his strength only below jiraiya, shikaku and the ANBU commander. So how is a child able to give him a beating?"

The clone acknowledged the question and quickly gave the answer that would give Hiruzen a pause. "Naruto wields the adamantine sealing chains"

Hiruzen sighs before spinning his chair to look outside the window. " So he does. It seems that what we planned to lecture him has backfired." He took a puff from his pipe before asking the clone. "Is that all?"

"Yes sir" the clone simply answered.

"Then you may go, help the original get to the hospital and call inoichi to my office afterwards." The hokage ordered.

"May I ask why you need inoichi,hokage-sama?" The clone asked, curious about what the hokage is planning now.

"You do not need to worry about it" the hokage answered before dismissing him. "You may go now."

The clone didn't dig too much into it and just nodded before using shunshin to leave.

'This is the best time to see what other things the fox told Naruto. I know this is not the right way to go about this but it's the only way I have right now to find out whether Naruto's mind is being corrupted by the kyuubi.

The hokage and inoichi arrived at the hospital room Naruto's in. It's almost night time and Naruto is still sleeping peacefully. He should've woken up a couple of hours ago but he didn't. The doctors said there's nothing wrong with him and he's just sleeping because he's exhausted.

"Go ahead inoichi." The hokage ordered. Inoichi got close and performed the technique that allows him to go through people's memories. And the next second he was already in Naruto's mind.

…

He appeared in a well-lit hallway with vibrant orange painted walls with portraits hanging on the walls, the images on the portraits were moving and were playing what he thinks are Naruto's memories. There's one from what he observed to be the top of the fourth hokage, one from the swing in front of the academy and many more, all viewed from Naruto's perspective.

'this is strange, I haven't seen someone's mind manifest a place for the purpose of acting as a storage for memories.' he thought, clearly weirded out by the strange occurrence on Naruto's mind.

Normally a person's mind would store memories in a single place that is easy to access to someone from the yamanaka clan, but Naruto's mind seems to be an anomaly as it created a place for the sole purpose of storing memories. Making it time consuming to navigate and a pain to sort which is which for him.

He continued walking, seeing more portraits but nothing unusual with them. He walked forward for what seems to be hours not finding anything unusual in the memories. All of them either

consisting of Naruto exploring the village, training in the woods and goofing around the village, though He noticed that as he continued walking forward through the hallway, it gradually became dimmer and dimmer, and the walls became drained of the vibrant orange it previously had. Leaving it with a dark tint of orange with a little mix of crimson red in it. The portrait frames that were previously made of metal are now replaced by the dark color of old rotted wood.

He looked back to see if the previous part he was in was still the same and it wasn't. The previous part that he was in also turned gloomy and gained a depressing aura. He returned walking and observed more portraits.

The faces that appeared in the portraits then became distorted and horrifying. They would say words that would hurt Naruto and make him close his eyes causing the moving pictures within the portraits to turn black.

'is this how Naruto sees the villagers? As faceless monsters that only existed to haunt him and judge him at every step? A child should not think like this' even inoichi knows that what the villagers are doing was bad for Naruto but he didn't think it was this bad.

'It is possible that he hid his emotions too much and now they're starting to corrupt him, because so far I haven't seen a single aspect that suggests that the kyuubi is involved.' his first assumptions were wrong but no one was there to correct him.

After walking for a few more minutes, he reached what seems to be the end of the now dimly lit hallway. In front of him was a door made out of the same dark rotted wood on the portraits. He slowly walked towards it, the anticipation in him was notable. He gripped the knob and was about to turn it when suddenly… a voice was heard from behind him.

"You're wandering where you shouldn't be, Shinobi-san." The voice said, sounding awfully like Naruto but a little distorted and with malice alongside it.

Quickly turning around and going into a defensive position, he caught the silhouette of a kid as big as Naruto. Solidifying his belief that it's just Naruto. But he didn't let his guard down just yet.

The silhouette slowly walked forward revealing his appearance to the yamanaka. He looks exactly like Naruto except for a few differences. His hair is longer and has a few patches of red hair in it, his clothes were different from what Naruto usually wears. They consist of a black Shinobi pants, a grey shirt with long sleeves that reached his wrist and a dark blue coat with fur around its neck. His wrist was wrapped with red belt-like material that reached his elbows. And lastly, what scared inoichi was his eyes… His eyes were red and slitted like the kyuubi and his scleras were black like the night.

"You're not Naruto, who are you?!" He slowly backs away still holding his guard up.

"Answer this first Shinobi-san: why are you here?." The copy of Naruto slowly stalked towards him like a predator and although Inoichi knows that he could just leave the mindscape, he didn't do so because he still hasn't finished his task and the sudden appearance of the copy just adds to the list of things he's tasked to find out.

Their surroundings also started to change. The walls started to peel off and crumble alongside the portraits, revealing the scenery beyond the walls. They're inside a clearing with tall dead trees with no leaves in them. The light coming from above was dim and the atmosphere felt haunting. On one part of the clearing was a fairly large pond with an aisle on the middle housing the only tree with leaves, although the tree is also starting to look like the ones beyond the pond, he wondered why that is.

'What is he? A different personality that Naruto made? ,perhaps?' He kept his eyes on the copy of Naruto as it came closer. The Naruto copy then stopped right in front of him and just proceeded to stare at him with its emotionless red eyes.

It then tilted its head to the side before speaking again. Its face, gaining an expression of curiosity. "I'm waiting for an answer Shinobi-San"

'What should I do?' Inoichi is having a dilemma. On one hand he could tell the copy of Naruto what his objectives are and gain its trust enough to tell him what he needs and on the other he could lie and still get it by using his clan's techniques. Although he knows it could backfire if this copy's mind is connected to the original.

He made his choice, but before that he needs to know who or what exactly this copy of Naruto is, because based on his appearance alone he seems to be the complete opposite of Naruto. He doesn't smile, there are no other emotions on his face other than curiosity and also the way he dresses is a complete contrast to Naruto's sometimes bright colored clothing. And lastly his eyes, they're slitted like the kyuubi so there's the possibility that the kyuubi is really starting to influence Naruto.

"Before I tell you what my purpose here is… tell me what exactly you are?" He asked, pointing at the copy of Naruto. It blinked a couple of times before turning and started to walk towards the direction of the pond.

"You're not really in the position to make demands from me but, I'm gonna humor you just a bit."

With a raised eyebrow, Inoichi followed the copy and they both stopped at the edge of the pond. He saw the copy dip his toes on the water. Only now did he notice that the copy was walking barefoot. The copy then stepped on the surface of the water but instead of walking on top of it, he hovered and began floating towards the aisle in the middle.

Inoichi also stepped on the water and started walking towards the aisle. He saw the copy looking towards the slowly dying tree with no visible emotion but he could tell that the state of the tree upset it.

"What is this?" Inoichi asked. And the copy looked at him with a mischievous yet chilling smile that could make a lesser shinobi's blood run cold. "A tree, obviously. Haven't you seen one?" The clone answered sarcastically.

But Inoichi is not a lesser Shinobi, he's the clan head of the Yamanaka clan and he's also a jonin.

"I know it's a tree, what I mean is-" the yamanaka retorted, clearly annoyed by the sarcasm. But the copy interrupted him.

" These trees represent the state of our mind. Naruto's I mean." The copy walked closer to the tree before resting his hand on its trunk.

He turned his head to inoichi before continuing. " Earlier this day, this tree looked a little more healthier and vibrant but something happened outside and it affected Naruto's mind. So much anger and desperation affected this tree like the others. I couldn't prevent it from being affected but I successfully minimized that effect." He walked to the edge of the aisle and pointed towards the trees surrounding the mindscape.

"Most of the trees surrounding us already looked like that when I came to be… when Naruto created me. Well, he didn't really create me. I just appeared here and when I saw the state of this place, this mindscape. I started to try and prevent his emotions from affecting his or you could say our mind. I started taking all of his negative emotions and stored them in me so he won't have to endure it and continue using the cheerful persona that he was using, before it becomes permanent."

He turned to inoichi again and looked him straight in the eye. " And to answer your questions of what I am… I am the manifestation of all of his negative emotions. His hatred towards the villagers, his bitterness to the lies the hokage told him, his fear, his resentment, his frustration and lastly… I am his sadness… and sorrow"

"You could call me na-... No, call me N" N said. He was about to say a different name for himself but he caught himself at the last second. Something that Inoichi didn't miss. But he ignored it for now.

N sat down at the base of the tree and put both his hands on the ground to lean back, before speaking again. " It's your turn now, Shinobi-san. What is the purpose of your visit?"

" The hospital asked me to check whether or not you sustained any damage to your mind and see if you've been traumatized by the attack. That is it." he answered simply.

"Also, for someone who claims to be the manifestation of someone's negativity you seem pretty calm and collected. That brings the question whether what you just said to me were lies."

"Well first off, Naruto isn't really traumatized by the experience, if anything he just finds it annoying. Knowing him when he wakes up he's just probably gonna groan and blame it on his 'bullshit luck'."

" Second, who said I'm calm? I'm resisting the ultimate urge to grab your arms and legs with my chains before pulling you apart. " The clone slowly raised his right arm and pointed at Inoichi while projecting an incredible amount of negative emotions. Nine golden chains coated with malicious red chakra appeared behind him, swishing in the air as if they were threads underwater. His face regained the sinister smile as he did so. Inoichi also felt as if some menacing entity was glaring over him when Naruto pointed at him.

"And lastly, we both know that what you just told me… was a lie. So don't try to point fingers at me and accuse me of lying! Yamanaka!" N stated firmly.

"I know who you are, you know how? Naruto just happened to be in the same class as your daughter, and she can't let every opportunity she gets to brag about you. About how you have a 'high position on T ' even though she doesn't seem to know what that is and about how you 'serve directly under the hokage'. Let's just be honest here and get this over. I'm slowly losing my will and I'm beginning to think that ripping you to pieces is a good idea. And although I know I'm not on par with you, I can still make you feel pain, considering that we are on Naruto's mind and I got almost complete control over here.

Now. I am gonna guess the reason why you're here, please just agree or disagree.

You got sent here by the hokage to try and find out whether or not I'm being influenced by the fox and to try and find out what other things I know and how I came to know them. Am I right?"

The yamanaka sighed and just confirmed it. " You are correct." There is no other reason for him to retaliate to 'N' as he already got most of the things he's tasked.

"Thank you! " N exclaimed. Stopping the continuous wave of negative emotions, And also making the chains vanish into light particles."See! Things are better when we tell the truth. Now after you get out of here, please tell the hokage to not do anything rash that would push Naruto away even more, he's not really that mad at him, just extremely disappointed. He'll eventually lose all of that anger and forgive the old man. Just don't do anything stupid like asking someone to enter his mind. Don't misunderstand my intentions and think that I care about how Naruto feels towards the hokage, no, I just want the constant streams of negative emotions to stop because frankly, I'm getting kind of annoyed of dealing with it"

"You may go now, Yamanaka-san. I suspect that Naruto is about to wake up and it's better he doesn't see both of you when he does." N advised. His face then returned to the previous emotionless expression.

The yamanaka just nodded, weirded out by the sudden changes in N's emotions.

"Wait, show me Naruto first, I need to see that he's fine. It's one of the reasons I'm here."

N just groaned and relented "fiiiine". With that he transported the yamanaka to where Naruto's unconscious mind is… in front of the kyuubi's cage.

He snorted, taking enjoyment from his mean prank.

"Well at least he didn't see the future memories. It's a shame I wouldn't see his reactions when he finds himself in front of kyuubi's snarl." He leaned against the tree and sighed heavily.

His expression changed into pure seriousness as he thought of the effect that the fight had on Naruto.

'the seal has been loosened slightly when he was fighting the masked Shinobi. This could be annoying to deal with, thankfully I was quick to provide him with negative emotions enhanced chakra, things could have gone way worse had I not done so.' sighing heavily again, N decided that he's just gonna leave it for later.

"Ahhhh~ I played the deranged child act there pretty well. If I do say so myself, there's no audience though. Ahhhh what a shame-what a shame"

…

Inoichi appeared in a place that he can only describe as a 'clean sewer'. He looked around and immediately saw Naruto's unconscious form, laying on the shallow waters. He got close to see him clearly and sighed in relief. 'it seems like N was telling the truth.'

He prepared to leave the mindscape but before he could do so, he was stopped by a booming voice.

""WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? HUMAN?"" He felt a sense of deja Vu and remembered N's line earlier. He looked behind him and almost had a heart attack when he saw the snarling face of the kyuubi and its hateful eyes. He hurriedly got out of the mindscape then and there.

…

Inoichi's consciousness returned to his body and he began gasping for air.

"What's wrong ?, inoichi?!" The hokage asked, worried.

Inoichi took a few seconds to catch his breath before he answered. " Everything's alright, hokage-sama."

"Are you sure? You're quite winded"

"Hai, hokage-sama. We should leave now though, I suspect Naruto is about to wake up."

The hokage nodded and they both left the room. Leaving Naruto to rest.

When they arrived at the hokage's office, inoichi immediately began reporting everything that transpired in the mindscape. Starting from him arriving in a weird hallway with paintings that played Naruto's memories, to him encountering the kyuubi because of N's prank. The hokage asked questions every now and then but he mostly just listened to Inoichi's report.

" Thank you, inoichi. You are dismissed. The pay would be transferred to your account by tomorrow. You may go now." Inoichi nodded and left the room.

"It seems like Naruto's fine for the most part. But a copy of himself, truly interesting. Haaah" he took a puff off his pipe before glancing at the stacks of paper on top of his desk. " More paperwork, I should really assign these to the civilian council. They don't do much anyway"

Naruto groaned as he felt water splash on his face. He unconsciously raised his arms to his face to block it but he dropped it back to his sides. Water splashed on his face again, causing him to somewhat wake up.

He blinked a couple of times before closing his eyes again to go back to sleep.

Water splashed on him for the third time he just ultimately ignored it until a booming voice shouted. "" Wake up morsel!""

He sat up abruptly and blinked quickly. " I'm up!" When he finally came to his senses, he saw the face of the fox snarling at him from behind the bars. "Oh… it's just you" he yawned and stretched his arms.

"" You finally woke up. I have some questions and you better answer them truthfully, I'd know when you lie."" The fox ordered.

Naruto just blinked owlishly to it before he reluctantly agreed as He's not sure what the fox would ask. "Ooo-K shoot"

The fox, unfamiliar with the term, did not say anything . . .

"I thought you're going to ask me something?.. Oh you're unfamiliar with "shoot" it means ''ask away."

The fox grunted before it started asking. "" I am curious… what happened to me in the future that you're claiming you saw?""

" If you're asking about the far far future then the short answer is you died." He answered quickly. Causing the fox to exclaim.

"" Outrageous! Me dying?! That's a ludicrous thing you're claiming. "" The fox shouted.

"Do you… want me to continue?" He asked slowly, not wanting to get shouted at by the fox.

"" Continue, I want to hear what other ridiculous lies you're going to tell me.""

"Okay! So me and Sasuke along with my future son, Boruto, were fighting-" he stopped mid sentence as he remembered how he ended up in this sealscape in the first place.

" Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! I need to get out of here! I was fighting someone trying to abduct me!" He stood up abruptly and quickly tried to leave but the fox prevented him.

""Stop"" it stated simply but the tone of its voice and the chakra that it carried was enough to make Naruto stop on his tracks and turn around.

" Why?! I need to go! I may be in the process of being abducted! Heck I might have been abducted already and they're now already planning to extract you from me! I'm going now, don't worry I'll be back and I'll answer all your questions!" He sent the fox a smile before vanishing from the sealscape.

The fox just huffed in annoyance and rested its head on its paws before closing its eyes.

Naruto woke up and began gasping for air, as if he just ran a marathon. He sat up from his laying down position and shouted.

"I'm not going down without a fight Y'know!" He noticed that his verbal tic is back but he ignored it for now and instead began scanning his current surroundings.

The walls of the room he's in are painted white. It has a window that is currently open, letting flows of cold night air come in and cause the white curtains to flutter slightly. On his side is a desk with what he recognized as a heart rate monitor that is currently turned off.

He let out a sigh of relief. Thankful for the fact that he's not in an enemy territory… or at least there's no enemy if he's in one.

He recognized the design of the room to be similar to the ones that hospitals have.

He got out of bed and walked towards the open window to see if he was in konoha or not. He let out another sigh of relief when he saw the hokage monument and the familiar rooftops of the hidden leaf village."Thank fuck"

He closed his eyes to feel the cold breeze on his face.

He turned from the window and began inspecting the things in the room. The clock on The wall shows ten pm. He then walked to the door and opened it before taking a quick peek on the hallways outside. It was completely dark and the only lights visible were from the rooms that had people that were awake in them.

He quickly closed it shut and locked it. It seems that he's still afraid of ghosts and creepy places. It also doesn't help that Navi had a mild nyctophobia or fear of the dark, it's not extreme but he's going to have to somehow cure it.

Shaking his head, he walked back to his bed and laid down. ' I guess I worried for nothing. Welp, I might as well go back to the sealscape and answer the fox's questions.' With that, he closed his eyes and focused his mind and soon enough, he's back on the seal facing the walls that contained the kyuubi.

The kyuubi is reluctant to admit it, but it is anticipating the return of the blond that is its jailer. It wants to hear about the future that the blond seems to know. The kyuubi has concluded that the outlandish claim of the blond has some truth to it.

Though one thing has made the powerful being annoyed, It's the claim that it died or will die in the future. It also made the fox curious. With nothing else to do it just continued to lay down and enjoy the silence.

The accommodation on the blond's seal is much better compared to being restrained by chains and impaled on a rock by its previous jailers. And though being split in half and sealed inside a boy is not much different from the previous ones, there's really nothing the fox could do at the moment.

The fox continued waiting for the blond's return a little more while laying down. The fox didn't need to wait for long though as it heard splashes of water and tapping against one of the bars of its prison.

It opened its eyes and saw Naruto leaning against one of the bars with a smile on his face.

"Yo!" The blond greeted.

"Continue your story now" the fox ordered, not even bothering to return the greeting.

Naruto shook his head and sighed. " So impatient. Well anyways as I was saying, Me and Sasuke along with my future son and my adopted son were fighting this alien dude more powerful than kaguya and enhanced with the chakra of a ten tails and we were losing. I couldn't use ninjutsu and Sasuke's weapons are also useless as the guy we were fighting had the ability to absorb ninjutsu and shrink any inanimate object and even ninjutsu. Even Sasuke's rinnegan is useless against him."

The fox raised an eyebrow and asked. "" Rinnegan? ""

Naruto blinked a couple of times, confused about the fox's question before realizing that he hasn't told the fox anything about it so naturally the fox is gonna be confused about it. " Oh yeah I haven't told you about that yet. Basically super gramps, the sage of six paths, gave Sasuke and I half of his chakra and a seal on our palm to seal kaguya in case the seal holding her gets broken. Sasuke developed a rinnegan in one of 'his' eyes and I gained access to six paths chakra and six paths senjutsu, super gramps also apparently gave me truth seeking orbs but we're not gonna talk about that as I'm still annoyed that the future me lost them throughout their battle with kaguya and his fight with Sasuke.

Oh yeah, speaking of Sasuke, i believe that this is a parallel universe since Sasuke is a guy in the future that I saw but the Sasuke here is apparently a she, some of the things I'm going to tell you may not be accurate but it should be close."

" Now back to what I'm telling you. We were out of options and Sasuke already ran out of chakra, and then you spoke to the future me about this technique that you know that would basically be a suicide move. That baryon mode, it is called. You explained to me in the future that it's similar to nuclear fusion, where we'd collide our chakra to make a new form of energy. The energy that was then created by the technique had the ability to steal the opponent's lifeforce with every punch. It also grants speed, fast enough to blitz the Otsutsuki without him being able to react. Unrivaled strength, more powerful than anything that this world had seen. but the time I was able to use it was limited to how much chakra we got.. And like I said earlier it

was a suicide move as the chakra that was used to make the new energy would not be recovered and would essentially be gone forever."

Naruto pointed at the fox. " The me from the future was already expecting to die after the technique faded and I know this might be unbelievable for you but…" he paused, contemplating whether he should tell the fox or not. There's a chance of him angering the fox should he decide to tell it the truth, The same thing could also be said If he chose to lie. And if that happens all the chance for the fox to be cooperative would be almost impossible to achieve.

""Tell me"" the fox said calmly. The malice that its voice usually carries is gone.

Naruto sighed, he's going to tell the truth." You chose to sacrifice yourself, you chose to die in my future self's stead. He became your friend and you got close enough to him to even sacrifice yourself when there's no other options. You told him that he's the one that's going to die so he'd accept your offer. Because the version of you from the future knew that if you told him that you are the one dying, he'd refuse and would try to find another way even though it's the only option."

He looked to the fox's eyes and braced himself from the suffocating aura that would be sent his way but nothing came. The fox just stayed silent as if it was thinking.

" You pulled the me from the future to this sealscape, and bid your farewell. I do not know how he survived being an empty vessel but I suspect that it was also because of you."

"Well, I'm gonna leave you to your thoughts. Meanwhile I have many things I want to figure out." He prepared to leave but he remembered something.

"Oh I just remembered, are you the one responsible for my new ability? When I was fighting the Shinobi earlier, I remembered that I suddenly became able to use the negative emotions or at least the hatred I have to enhance my chakra. I know the chains didn't come from you but I figured that the other ability came from you because you seem to have an ability related to negative emotions. Negative emotions sensing if I'm not wrong."

The fox looked towards him and answered "" I have no involvement in your recent developments and new abilities. I am restricted by these walls and the only thing I am able to do is pull you inside here and communicate to you to a small degree.""

Naruto frowned slightly."Is that so? Well this is confusing. Thanks for answering my question"

He turned to leave but the voice of the fox stopped him."" Be sure to come back… I want to hear about the adventures and stories of your future self. I want to hear it from the beginning to the end.""

Naruto faced the fox and gave it a wide smile. "Sure"

Navi: welp, another chapter done! Now if only I have some food in my fridge.

Ian: It's your fault, you didn't buy any groceries because you're so busy with that.. what the f*ck were you playing again.

Navi: Don't you mean 'we'? Because if I remember correctly you were just as equally hooked to it as I am.

Ian: tch.

Navi: Now take this money and go buy us some food. * Throws money to his face*

Ian: ouch! Why the f*CK did you throw coins at me?! Are you so broke that you don't even have cash?!

Navi: *proceeds to throw even more coins at him, more violently this time.*

Ian: Fine! fine! I'll go! *Whispers*' I hope you stub your toes.'

Navi: I heard that!

Ian: I know!

Navi: the nerve of that guy! Anyways guys that would do it for today's chapter. Don't forget to follow and favorite so you wouldn't miss a chapter when I update.
