"Bijuu speaking"
Naruto sat down under the shade of a tree. He began subtly looking for where Hinata might be hiding.
Opening the lid of the container with his pizza, he began eating. Finding nothing else to do while eating, he opened his fuinjutsu book and began reading through it from the very beginning. He has already read through it for five times now but at the moment it was the only thing he has that's even remotely entertaining so he kept reading it over and over, making sure he memorized it cover to cover.
He wants to buy more books but he already spent most of his money to buy clothes and other essentials for his daily life. He could always ask more from the hokage but he doesn't want to be irresponsible with his money. He only has a little more than enough money to buy his food until the end of the month before the hokage gives him more.
'kurama, could you tell me where Hinata is hiding? ' he asked the fox.
It then replied quickly without even thinking about it. ""No"" the fox said plainly.
' eh, why not? ' Naruto asked.
"" I would help you if you're in a Life or Death situation but not with pointless things such as asking me for a child's location. Now leave me be, don't call me unless there's something interesting happening.""
' wording.' Naruto said with a sigh.
'How could Hinata hide from me? I'm more experienced in sneaking around so I should be able to find her easily. ' finished with his food, he stood up and subtly made a soundless smokeless clone behind the tree he was hiding.
He didn't need to tell the clone what to do as it already has the memories about what he previously thought of.
The clone, making barely any sound, began jumping from tree to tree, trying to find the hiding hyuuga. It circled around the parameter but made no progress whatsoever. It's as if the girl knew where exactly he would go and would quickly get away from her location before he could even get near it.
After making a few more rounds around the training ground, the clone dispelled. Transferring back all its memories to Naruto.
'Still nothing, huh.' he thought. The last few rounds the clone made bore the same results as the first one, absolutely nothing.
'has she perhaps already awakened her Byakugan? Possibly. This is just troublesome.' he just sat down and leaned back against the tree and stared at the cloudless noon sky.
He then heard a sigh from the fox and a question. "" Why do you even want to approach that girl anyways? It seems like she doesn't even want to talk to you.""
' she does want to talk to me. I caught her observing me multiple times in class. And the version of her from the memories is extremely infatuated with me to the point of obsession. The reasons line up perfectly too, her stalking started more than a year ago when I saved her from the bullies making fun of her and hurting her. It's the same as the memories.' He explained to the fox.
""You didn't answer why you wanted to approach her."" Kurama re-affirms.
'well..' Naruto trailed off trying to avoid the question.
"" Well what?""
' I want to have friends y'know. it's pretty boring not having someone to talk to whenever you want to. Someone you can tell your secrets and someone you can trust. I remember the feeling of having them through Navi's memories and it sucks because I couldn't have them. Everytime I would try to approach them they would just either run away from me or insult me. It sucks y'know.' he answered honestly. Sadness was eminent in his tone.
' Come to think of it, I just described you! I can talk to you whenever I want, you know my current deepest secret which is having memories of the future and I can trust you. We're also inseparable, literally, because if someone separates you from me, it would kill me, literally. And I don't mean it in a cheesy way y'know. hahahahaha.' Naruto then continued, unknowingly masking his sadness with another mask that fooled even himself and he finished with a mental laugh.
Kurama noticed the sudden change in Naruto and the fox wondered. " ' his emotions are different than what he's showing. It's just like before. He's wearing a mask to hide his true emotions, it's not as bad as before but it would still affect him mentally if this continues. ' "
' are we friends, kurama? ' Naruto asked seriously.
The fox stayed silent for a few seconds before answering. "" … No."
Naruto Chuckled. ' At least you're honest about it. It makes sense though. We've only met each other like three weeks ago. It would be quite suspicious if you say we're friends already… thanks for answering me honestly though.'
He stood up and stretched his limbs and rolled his shoulders. His clones already finished retrieving the kunai and shurikens that they threw earlier. He sealed them in his wrist seal alongside his food container and equipment for fuinjutsu.
'Last question, is Hinata still here?'
"" No, she left the moment your clone started searching for her. She's far away from here now. ""
' is that so? Thanks again '
He picked up his scarf and wrapped it around his neck. With everything done, he began walking home with his book in hand.
He went by the store that sells him items at regular prices and He bought some groceries. He also went to ichiraku and bought some to-go ramen, had a little chat with teuchi and ayame and then continued walking home.
He didn't get the feeling that he was being followed but he's not really sure anymore since Hinata managed to spy on him without him noticing, which he's still perplexed about.
His thoughts went back to earlier . He really wanted to have someone to talk to, to become friends and to spend time together.
'well, I can always talk to shikamaru. The guy might be lazy but he became one of my closest friends in the memories. There's choji too. I don't know about kiba. He despises me at the moment, well not exactly despise but more like 'annoyed' because I kept beating him in taijutsu and I also kept improving while his skills remained nearly the same. He doesn't really try to antagonize me anymore, there's still mild insults but it's more like friendly banter than actual insults since we both throw words and profanities at each other.
Sakura still thinks Sasuke is a guy and has a crush on her. Ino is the same as Sakura so there's really no chance of her being a friend. Speaking of Sasuke, I still don't know how I'm gonna approach her. I don't even know if she's really a girl or a guy.
The last would be Hinata who would probably faint if I talk to her at the moment.'
He finished listing the people who he could be friends with and he's left with only three. Shikamaru, choji and possibly kiba. But he feels like he's forgetting someone.
' I feel like I'm forgetting someone… oh right! Shino! The guy barely interacts with anyone in the class! I feel like he enjoys being alone since he never makes any effort in socializing. Haaah, it's times like this where being an introvert would be the best thing.' he released a big sigh of disappointment as he continued walking home.
Meanwhile the Fox on the seal observed Naruto with a scrutinizing expression without saying anything. It was as if the fox was trying to figure out something about Naruto.
It listened to Naruto's thoughts which he was unknowingly broadcasting to the fox.
After Naruto finished his thoughts. The fox just laid its head down and closed its eyes, seemingly in deep thought.
Monday - 5:34
Naruto stared outside his window, observing the empty street below. Rain was pouring down without end from the dark clouds above. The dark clouds completely covered all visible parts of the sky meaning the downpour would most likely continue for awhile.
He released a heavy sigh. Rainy days are always a hassle to him. The training grounds are all wet, the outside is damp which he doesn't like, and it's always difficult to go to the academy when it's cold. It always makes him want to stay in bed and lay down all day without doing anything. But alas, he couldn't afford to do it now. If he wants to graduate early he would need to be the best in his class.
Grumbling, he stood up and made his way to the kitchen and prepared his breakfast and the lunch he would bring, which is pizza.
After eating breakfast, he went to take a cold shower to completely rid himself of his sleepiness. He got dressed and packed all his things into his storage seal.
" I'm leaving! " He shouted inside his apartment. Finally, he picked up an umbrella and went on his way.
…
He was the first one to arrive at his class. He took a seat and unsealed his book and began reading, he had nothing else to do so he figured he might as well read.
It took a few more minutes before other students arrived, and like usual they avoided him like a plague, choosing to sit as far away from him as possible.
It didn't affect him though and he just chuckled and shook his head.
'Fools' he thought.
Soon the clan heirs also arrived. Shikamaru, like usual, immediately laid his head on the desk and snoozed. Choji who was sitting next to shikamaru and ino was already munching on some chips before he even arrived.
Kiba was playing with Akamaru, Shino was just… sitting, doing nothing. And lastly Hinata kept stealing nervous glances at him. She knows he knows that she's been spying on him.
Naruto just gave her a smile and her face immediately heated up and turned bright red before turning away.
Sakura also arrived and began looking around the moment she stepped inside the classroom. She gained a disappointed expression when she didn't see what or who she was looking for.
'if Sasuke really is a girl then she would be utterly disappointed.' Naruto noted.
The door then abruptly opened and nearly everyone in the room barring Naruto and shikamaru, who was sleeping, stopped what they're doing once they saw who was in the door.
It was Sasuke.
Everyone already heard about the tragedy that had struck the Uchiha clan. The first son of the clan head had gone rogue and slaughtered the entirety of the Uchiha clan, leaving only the second child of the clan head as its survivor.
According to the shinobis that responded to the situation, It all happened too fast and when the ANBU finally arrived at the scene, it was too late. Or at least that's what the majority of the masses knows. Naruto knew better.
He knows that Itachi was ordered by Danzo to kill the Uchiha clan. Originally, Danzo told Itachi that his clan is going to try to overthrow the village government, and must be stopped. The truth is later revealed that Danzo was more interested in obtaining the power of the Sharingan than he was protecting Konoha.
The hokage's original order to Itachi was to buy as much time as possible so he could deal with the situation without unnecessary bloodshed.
That doesn't mean though that the hokage was exempt. He was part of the reason why the Uchiha planned a coup. He allowed them to be relocated because of the distrust the kyuubi attack had brought. This mistrust and isolation from the rest of the village created feelings of ill-will amongst the Uchiha, and ultimately rekindled the hatred harbored towards the Senju-influenced government.
'Utter incompetence. He should have just retired and tried to find another successor after father died.' He sighed mentally and continued his reading. Not paying any attention to anything around him.
Sasuke
-EARLIER-
Sasuke woke up drenched in sweat and breathing heavily. Her eyes, full of fury and her whole body shaking in anger.
'it's that dream again!' she thought, snarling.
The dream or nightmare, was the memory that Itachi forced her to watch inside a genjutsu. She didn't know how many times she's seen it and frankly she doesn't care anymore.
Itachi made her watch it for what seemed like months! She was forced to watch it over and over again. She saw how itachi killed each and every single member of the Uchiha clan. It didn't matter if they were children, women or elderly. Itachi killed them all without a second thought. His blade, separating their heads from their shoulders.
The memory had become ingrained into her brain and every time she tried to sleep or even close her eyes for an extended period of time, she would see the… nightmare!
She couldn't remember how many times she asked herself why! why! why! why! why, itachi did it! In her eyes he was perfect! The best she could ask for. It didn't matter that her father always compared her to him. He was the best brother she could have asked for…
" I'm going to kill him! " She whispered. There's a certain glint of conviction in her eyes that tells that she's ready to do whatever it takes to kill her own brother.
Her shaking stopped and she took a few deep breaths to calm herself.
She got up from her bed and made her way to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. When she arrived, an image of her mother appeared in her mind.
She shook her head vigorously to get rid of the mental image her brain made. She scowled.
'why do they keep popping up inside my head?!'
She successfully made herself breakfast and she then proceeded to take a shower before dressing up and leaving.
She walks on the now empty streets of what used to be an Uchiha clan district. The mental image of children running around, parents walking home with their child and lively Uchiha clansmen didn't help with the perpetual scowl that's now plastered on her face. It only made it grow even more.
She quickened her pace to leave the area immediately so she wouldn't get any more of the mental image that her brain keeps showing.
Once she left the premise of the clan compound, the mental images stopped. But now she has to deal with the pitying looks the populace of konoha keeps sending her.
She heard their whispers, saw the faces they're making and even some 'comforting' words that didn't help even one bit.
A guy came up to her and proceeded to tell her how HE 'understands' how she feels since he just lost his mother last month.
She resisted the urge to yell at him and shove his face to the ground for his audacity. He only lost one person while SHE lost everything on a single night!.
The guy seemed to have realized that what he said brought the opposite of what he's trying to do so he just slowly moved out of her way and didn't speak anything anymore.
Then there's the whispers. The whispers that did the same thing the 'comforting' words of the previous guy did.
Fed up with all the pity and meaningless words that they keep telling her. She once again quickened her pace.
Finally, she arrived at the academy. She tried to remove the scowl that she has but she only managed to somehow do it as there's still a perpetual glare in her eyes that she didn't even bother trying to remove anymore.
As she opened the door and stepped inside the classroom, every student in the room stopped what they're doing and looked towards her.
And there it is again. The look of pity and sympathy.
They flocked to her and asked her many different questions regarding her situation.
' these insensitive fools. They don't understand a thing about what I'm feeling and they still make it seem like they do!'
Deciding that being aggressive to them wasn't the best option, she just pushed them aside and walked towards her seat.
There she saw the dead-last, sitting on the seat beside the window with his feet on the table, reading a book. He took a quick glance at her and then nodded.
She took a seat and just as she thought the noise and disturbance had subsided, ino alongside Sakura and other civilian girls had formed a crowd beside her and kept bothering her.
Sakura, seeing the empty seat beside her, quickly took it and gloated to Ino and the civilian girls about it.
Gnashing her teeth, Ino looked beside Sasuke and saw Naruto minding his own business. She went around their table and stood beside Naruto, glaring at him from above.
The blond sighed and closed his book before looking at Ino and asking. " Is something wrong? "
"Get up dead-last! I want to sit beside Sasuke-Kun and you're in the way!" She immediately shouted at Naruto.
Sasuke was about to click her tongue thinking that the blond would give up his spot and let another… banshee beside her and cause her more disturbance and annoyance. But she was relieved when Naruto denied the yamanaka.
"I missed the part where that's my problem. " Naruto replied while smiling at the Yamanaka girl.
The girl was fuming. Her face turned beet red from anger and she was about to yell at the blond again but the teacher walked into the class and stopped any more ruckus ensuing.
" Settle down, class."
The girl clicked her tongue and proceeded to head to her original seat. But not before glaring harshly at Naruto who just laughed it up and went back to his reading like nothing even happened.
She got curious and looked at the cover of the book the dead-last was reading. It says " introduction to fuinjutsu." The name of the author was covered by a piece of tape.
She lost interest and listened to the instructor.
Then came the last part of their class for the day, the taijutsu exercises.
Their instructor brought them to the field outside which was still wet due to the rain earlier. There were a lot of puddles and the surroundings were damp.
Beside her she heard the blond groaning, like he usually does when it's time for the taijutsu exercises. But this time it seems he's groaning for a different reason.
It's several matches later when the name of the blond had been called. It seems that he was matched with kiba.
"NEXT! NARUTO UZUMAKI AND KIBA INUZUKA! "
knowing the outcome of the fight, she turned away from it. Uninterested in seeing the pathetic display that the dead-last would make. She stared into the now sunny sky of konoha and watched the clouds slowly drift.
She became shocked though when a few seconds later, the winner was announced and she quickly panned her head towards the field.
" WINNER! UZUMAKI! "
Naruto stood in the middle with his legs still in the kicking position, at the same level of his face.
Meanwhile, Kiba was outside the circle. It looked like the blond's kick had pushed him out of the circle and He's laying in a puddle, holding his face in pain.
" You don't need to be surprised." She heard the usually asleep shikamaru speak beside her.
"What?" She asked, confused.
Shikamaru then reiterated. " Naruto, I mean. It's been three weeks since the guy first beat kiba in a spar. Since then their fights seemed to get more and more easier for Naruto. At the first few fights Kiba could still put up a decent fight before being defeated. But now it only takes Naruto more than a few seconds to beat kiba."
"Hn" Sasuke just grunted a response before turning towards the two.
Naruto walked up to the downed Inuzuka and offered his hand. Kiba looked at it for a few seconds before accepting it.
"Sorry about that, I got too carried away." Naruto apologized before laughing awkwardly.
" My face still hurts you asshole!" Kiba retorted, shaking his head vigorously. " How do you even manage to improve so fast?! "
"Lots of training? I guess? I don't really know to be honest."
"Fine, keep your secrets then. I swear one of these days I'm gonna beat you."
Naruto gave him a laugh before offering to do the seal of reconciliation. They then walked back to the side as the next batch of students was called.
"NEXT! SASUKE UCHIHA AND TACHIBANA TAJI!
She looked at her opponent and saw a civilian boy who was looking really pale and was visibly shaking from nervousness.
" L-let's-do our b-best" the boy said, his voice shaking. It seems like he really doesn't want to face Sasuke. Who would want to, actually? Sasuke is the best in their batch and as far as they know. 'HE' would definitely be the rookie of the year.
Sasuke didn't even bother replying and just did the seal of confrontation and the boy did the same.
" START!"
Their fight started and Sasuke wasted no time as she immediately charged forward, not even allowing the poor civilian boy to react.
When she reached him, she sent three consecutive punches to his stomach before she spun around and delivered a powerful kick to his chest that sent him out of bounds.
"WINNER, UCHIHA SASUKE!"

"WINNER, UCHIHA SASUKE!"
Naruto watched as Sasuke walked back to the side and she was instantly flocked by the fangirls.
"Kyaaaa! You're so cool Sasuke-Kun!"
"Hey! Hey! How did you do that?! You were like baam! Baam! And then your kick too!"
Ino and Sakura also joined the crowd and began praising Sasuke, thinking that they would be on 'his' good side and that 'he' would 'date' one of them if they do.
They couldn't be any more wrong though as Sasuke, instead of feeling thankful for their praises, instead got even more annoyed by their constant chittering and yapping. Her face began to gain a scowl that none of the fangirls noticed.
But Naruto did. He sighed and decided that he would help the Uchiha since letting her hurt their classmates would do more harm than good, not only to the fangirls but also Sasuke's.
" It's not that special though. Even * I * could probably do it!" He proclaimed loudly.
Nearly everyone near him got wide eyed the moment those words left his mouth. Kiba who was standing beside him grabbed him by the collar and shook him.
" You idiot! Do you not realize what you just did?! Whatever! You're on your own!" Kiba, knowing exactly what would happen next, got away from Naruto as fast as he could while akamaru was on top of his head.
By 'insulting' Sasuke, Naruto also inevitably brought the wrath of the fangirls upon himself.
The fangirls in question, quickly snapped their heads towards Naruto and ran to him. Soon enough, all of the fangirls that were previously on Sasuke were now on Naruto, shouting at him and berating him for insulting 'their' Sasuke-Kun. He just plugged both his ears with his index fingers and let the chaos happen.
Sasuke was about to retort to Naruto but upon realizing what the blond did, she just kept silent and walked to the side.
' I didn't ask for help, the idiot brought it upon himself.'
The teacher, getting quite tired of all the noise, quickly diffused the situation by calling the two most popular fangirls.
"NEXT! INO YAMANAKA AND SAKURA HARUNO!"
The commotion slowly died down and the fangirls left Naruto alone one by one.
After the chaos had subsided, Kiba went up to Naruto and told just how crazy he was. " You're stupid. why did you even say that? I would've been included in their ear breaking shouting if I hadn't ran."
Naruto just laughed and told Kiba a made up reason. " Their shouting was kinda annoying and it was starting to piss me off so I guess I just snapped. Hahaha."
Beside them was shikamaru who was just shaking his head. He too found the antics of Sasuke's fangirls to be quite annoying. But he didn't want to invoke their anger on him so he just ignored them.
Choji was also with him and was snacking on a large bag of potato chips.
Naruto turned to them and seemed to get an idea. " Oh hey shika! Choji! Do you guys have something to do after class?"
Choji shook his head and answered. " No, I'm free after this, but I don't know about shikamaru,why?"
Naruto grinned and lifted his right sleeve. They saw some sort of cloth with weird markings on it. The thing looks like a wobbly broken up circle with a big equally wobbly looking N at the middle with both its ends connected to the broken circle, there's also three squiggly lines outside the circle. One on top and two at the lower left and lower right, all of them pointing towards the N jn the middle of the circle.. They were about to ask Naruto what that was but they got interrupted by a small puff of smoke as a food container popped into existence in Naruto's hands.
"Whoa, how did you do that?!" Choji exclaimed.
"That's a storage scroll." It was shikamaru who answered. He got close and examined it, curious about the seal.
"How much did this cost you? From the looks of it, it looks personalized. I've seen the designs of the normal one's, my dad has a lot of them, but the design of this one is different from those."
Naruto smirked. "I made them." he answered simply.
" You made that?! That's impossible! " Kiba exclaimed. His eyes wide.
Naruto turned to him, still smirking, and then asked. " Don't believe me? "
"Of course I wouldn't believe you! Just less than three weeks ago you were the dead-last! Of course I wouldn't believe you unless you show us proof!"
Groaning, Naruto then took out a three piece of paper, a bottle of ink and a brush. He set them down on a bench and began working.
His hands swiftly and gracefully moved as he drew the same broken circle and the lines seen in his own seal, making all three of them look in awe. He finished each seal with the first letter of their names in the middle. C for choji, S for shikamaru and lastly K for kiba.
He picked up his equipment and put them back into the seal before giving the three their respective seals.
"Go on, try them out." Naruto urged them.
But seeing that they didn't even move, Naruto asked. "Do you not know how to use them?"
They all nodded and Naruto answered. He took a pen out of his pockets and demonstrated. " so, to use them just put whatever you want to seal on top of it and then insert a little chakra to activate the matrix." He rolled up his right sleeve and put the pen on top of the seal before pushing a small amount of chakra with his fingers causing the seal to activate and take the pen inside it. "See?"
Kiba was the first one to try it. He took a coin out of his pockets and laid it at the center of the seal. He did as Naruto instructed and pushed a small amount of chakra into it, similar to when he would use it in the leaf sticking exercise. The same thing happened and the coin was inserted into the seal. "whoa"
"That's cool but how do I take it out?" Kiba asked. Before he tried inserting chakra into the seal again and caused the coin to reappear. " Oh nevermind, I figured it out."
Shikamaru and choji then followed and did the same. Sealing and unsealing different items into the seal.
"But that's not the coolest part." He picked the food container he took out earlier and held it out to them.
"Feel it."
They did but the two of them got confused at what Naruto was trying to show them. It was just a food container with food inside. Granted the food inside was something they haven't seen before but there was nothing special in it.
Only choji was able to figure out what was special in it. "It's still warm?!"
"That's right! You can store food inside it and it will stay as it is and would not change at all! It's like stasis! I don't know the limit of exactly how long the food can stay inside the seal but It's very long."
Kiba was about to hand the paper to Naruto but Naruto stopped him. " No no, you can keep it. I have like three hundred of those at home. I've been making them as practice but I don't know what to do with them so they just get stockpiled at my apartment. I'd probably just sell them to cut the cost."
"Well, thanks. don't mind if I do then." Kiba shrugged, rolling the paper so he could put it in his pockets.
"They're a lesser version than the one I use because you won't be able to take out a specific item from them if you put different things. Making these ones on my wrist takes more time to make, The one I use can take a specific amount of chakra to only take out the things that I want. So I suggest you put only one kind of thing inside it, like foods or kunai for example."
"I've also made them durable. So you don't have to worry about it being torn. Anyways back to what I was asking earlier, do you guys wanna hang out after class?" Naruto asked.
Choji got excited and asked. " If you have food then sure!"
Kiba shrugged before replying. " Why not? I'm kind of hungry."
The only one left was shikamaru who was looking conflicted. His face was twisting and turning into different expressions, likely from comparing the pros and cons of going with them or doing whatever he wanted to do, which was most likely lazing around, laying on the grass and watching clouds.
" Come on, shika! Don't you want to try the food that Naruto made?! It looks good!" Choji shouted beside shikamaru's ear, causing him to hold it in pain.
" You're so loud. Haaaaa how troublesome. Sure why not." He answered.
"Great! Let's meet at the gate after class, I'll show you a great spot that I know for hanging out!" Naruto suggested and they all agreed.
"Sounds good to me, I need to change my clothes anyways since" someone" knocked me into a puddle! My mom's gonna kill me when I get home. Thanks idiot!" Kiba exclaimed, making Naruto and Choji laugh while Shikamaru just sighed at how loud they were.
They chat for a while, unaware of the hokage watching them with his mirror orb from the hokage office.
"Another sealing prodigy"
The sparring session continued. They watched as students fought but they didn't really see anything interesting or even fun.
Finally, the class finished and the instructor dismissed them. The students went on their way, leaving only a few in the building.
Shikamaru and Choji decided that they're just gonna wait for them at the gate while Naruto and Kiba went into the restroom for different reasons. Naruto wants to wash his face and fix his hair while Kiba wants to change his clothes as the ones he's currently wearing were drenched in muddy water from the puddle he fell down earlier.
They entered the restroom and Naruto went into the sink and washed his face, removing any grime and dirt into it.
Kiba went into a stall to change. Thankfully he always brings an extra pair of clothes on him or else he would have worn the drenched and dirty clothes all the way to his home and that would've been embarrassing.
Finished with his business, Naruto shouted at kiba." I'm just gonna wait for you outside!"
"Sure!" Kiba shouted back.
When Naruto stepped outside the restroom, He was greeted by Sasuke who was leaning on the wall beside the door.
" I wasn't asking for your help earlier. I could've dealt with it myself. You should mind your own business." Sasuke said coldly.
Naruto raised his eyebrow. ' what is up with her/him or whatever? I didn't even do anything bad.'
An idea popped into his head. Since it's been a while since he actually messed with anyone, this is the perfect chance for him to do it. Besides, Sasuke was asking for it when he or she or whatever decided to be petty and confront him from helping.
" Well that's a weird way of saying thank you ~ you're welcome though~ " he said, grinning like a Cheshire cat.
An annoyed expression appeared on Sasuke's face and her eyes began to twitch. The guy managed to get on her nerves with just one sentence. She knows for a fact that the previous Naruto wouldn't even dare to annoy her that much. Naruto was annoying but he wouldn't do anything that would force her to physically hurt him.
" You should stop your mocking now if you know what's good for you." Sasuke warned but it was ineffective as Naruto gained an even larger smirk than the one he previously wore.
" Oh no~ you get it wrong, I'm not mocking anyone~ I just said you're welcome since you personally came here to thank me~ isn't that the right thing to do?~"
Naruto continued throwing jokes at her until he saw that she started shaking from rage.
'i might have overdone it a ha ha ha.' he finished with an awkward laugh.
"What's wrong? You're shaking a lot, Sasuke-chan." That was the last straw. Sasuke's eyes widened for a second before she lunged to Naruto.
She threw two punches at him which he caught effortlessly. She was briefly shocked but quickly regained her composure. She realized that both her fists were still on Naruto's hand so she jumped and spun counterclockwise and delivered a kick to the left side of Naruto's head.
The blond's eyes widened and he quickly let go of her fists and raised his left arm to block the kick. But it was no use as the kick arrived faster than he could raise his arms.
He let out a small hiss as the kick connected to his left. He could've used his chains to block it but he chose not to as he didn't want to reveal anymore of his skills to anyone at the moment.
"Ugh, that hurts y'know!" He exclaimed, smiling widely. The way that her eyes widened slightly when he called her Sasuke chan earlier confirmed his suspicion.
" You could've just told me not to call you 'Sasuke-chan' if you hate it! What? Should I start calling you 'Sasuke-Kun~' then?" He said the last part with an annoyingly high pitched voice.
Sasuke's anger grew and a scowl was now present on her lips. She again proceeds to throw kicks and punches at Naruto but this time he was prepared and blocked all of them, though not without great difficulty.
Sasuke got close enough to him and grabbed his collar and shoved him into the wall. He could've freed himself but chose not to as he figured that he's messed with her enough.
" Do not call me anything! You understand?!" She stated firmly. Her glares boring into his eyes.
" Yes,yes I. Get it already. Please let go of my shirt, I spent quite a lot of money on it." He replied nonchalantly making Sasuke sneer even more but ultimately let him go.
She began walking away but stopped when she heard the blond say. " See you later 'Sasuke-chan' " in the same mocking voice. She didn't turn back and run to him this time but instead just balled her Fist and continued walking.
It's this time that Kiba, who was watching the whole time, decided to ask. ", What was that about, dude?"
Naruto laughed and answered. " Just annoying the guy. Apparently he hates it when you call him Sasuke-chan. I wouldn't suggest you do it though if you don't want to get hurt."
" Yeah, as if I have a death wish. Come on let's go meet the two."
Once they reached the gate, they saw choji and shikamaru waiting for them.
"Yo." Naruto greeted them.
"Come on, follow me. I'll show you a great spot."
They obliged and began following Naruto to the "great spot" he was referring to.
After a few minutes of walking, they became suspicious and began to think that the "spot" Naruto was talking about was actually a restricted area.
"Uhhh. hey Naruto, are you sure that this is the right place?" It was Choji who asked. It was then followed by Kiba who was actually feeling a little anxious. " We are at the back of the hokage tower, the "great spot" you were referring to wouldn't happen to be the hokage monument right?"
Naruto turned to them and they saw a giant smile plastered on his face. " That's right!"
"Wouldn't we get in trouble if- no when we get caught? My mom would nag at me endlessly if I get in trouble." Shikamaru said.
Naruto nonchalantly waved and replied. " Psshh we won't get punished for this. I come here all the time. As long as you don't vandalize the faces or try to destroy them you'll be fine. I know since I tried doing them once hahahahaha"
The three guys, including Akamaru, who just woke up on top of Kiba's head, sweatdropped. ' ' ' this guy's insane! ' ' ' was the thought that ran through their head.
They began climbing the stairs that lead to the hokage monument and after a few minutes, they reached the top. All of them were exhausted except for Naruto who doesn't even seem to sweat.
" You guys are already down? Man, you guys are weak, y'know"
Kiba retorted, saying that Naruto's the weird one since he wasn't even remotely tired after climbing that many steps.
"Anyways, this is not the spot I was talking about, let's go to the fourth's. The hair of his Statue has more flat surfaces that we can sit on than the first three."
They begrudgingly followed Naruto again and a little walking later, they reached the top of the fourth's head.
Naruto jumped up on one of the spikes of the fourth's hair and sat. His feet dangling on each side.
" Come on! The view here is great! " He urged them.
He took out the food container from his seal and handed them slices of pizza.
Their face lit up in delight as they took a bite from the pie.
"Where did you buy these, Naruto?!" Choji asked rather excitedly.
"I made them"
" You did? Man this Is amazing! My mom would love to hear about this. Do you think you can give me the recipe?" Choji asked.
"Well, the thing is I actually want to sell them because I'm kind of broke. so if I give the recipe to you, your parents would be the first to sell them and I wouldn't get as many customers because I know that your family has a restaurant business. Sorry."
Choji nodded in understanding and just waved. " That's fine. When would you sell these though? I like them alot."
Naruto thought for a second and answered. " I don't really know. Next month? Maybe? I'm not too sure."
They ate and sat in comfortable silence on top of the fourth hokage's hair, watching the village of hidden leaf from above.
They chatted and hung out for a bit more before they decided that they would get down now before they get caught.
They parted ways and went on their way home.

As Naruto was walking home, he saw something in the middle of the road. It was small. He could see the outline of its body from afar and concluded that it was a cat. A brown cat.
No, it's not just any brown cat! It was Tora! The elusive cat that gave Genin and even some Chunin trouble from the show!.

if you're wondering about the title. parallels. this chapter is meant to show the difference/parallels between Naruto and Sasuke.
the villagers attitude to both of them. with Naruto getting contemp and pure hatred whereas Sasuke gets sympathy and love from them.
and Naruto's desire to make friends while Sasuke tries to distance herself away from other by ignoring them.
the alternative title for this chapter would be " Yin and Yang" which they represent.
