"What the hell is that!?" Obito exclaimed in astonishment. In the blink of an eye, Madara created a behemoth thousand-handed Buddhist statue of wood. Thousands of hands from the statue's back were lined up in countless concentric rows, while its two main hands were clasped as if praying. Moreover, the size of the statue made him feel overwhelmed, it was ten times bigger compared to his Perfect Susanoo.
From the top of the towering statue's head, Madara could overlook the entire battlefield. Everything looked so small to him, even Obito's Perfect Susanoo was nothing compared to this statue.
"So this is what you saw at that time... Now watch over me, Hashirama!"As the colossal Buddha statue began to move, the ground also shook. Feeling the inevitable loss to Madara, the Honkai beast made a plan to retreat. However, Madra had foreseen this move and didn't give it a chance to get away.
"Don't think about escape! Sage Art: Gracious Deity Gates!"From above,several Torri gates fell down and pinned all of Kraken's eight tentacles to the ground, making it immobilized.
"Eight Seals!"
When the statue got close enough to Kraken, its thousand hands raised, ready for an attack that would take down the monster. Facing the irreversible situation, the gigantic Honkai Beast only knew to attack the statue in desperation.
As the statue continuously threw thousand of powerful fists toward it, Kraken instantly responded by shooting a Honkai energy beam from its mouth. However, no matter how many hands it destroyed, the strike still continued. Obviously, Kraken couldn't withstand the blow that once defeated Nine-Tails armored with Susanoo. Thousand of fists smashed its armored skin quickly like the way they did to Madara's Susanoo in the past. Kraken eventually was beaten up and caught by the main hands of the statue, looking as if a man held a small octopus with their bare hands.
"Not over yet!" Madara jumped out of the top of the statue's head and activated his Perfect Susanoo once again. This time, there was a kanji character upon the palm of his Susanoo.
"10th Edict on Enlightenment!" Madara claimed. As soon as the palm of Susanoo touched the Honkai Beast's head, Kraken's rage was suppressed. The Honkai Beast's eyes softened, it finally calmed down and stopped struggling between the statue's hands.
"Alright... I shall put this monster under my control!" To make Kraken his own pet, Madara cast a Genjutsu upon the Honkai Beast with his Rinnegan. However, nothing went as planned in this accursed world. No matter how he tried to manipulate its mind, he all failed in taking control of the Honkai Beast's mind.
In fact, the result disappointed Madara and ruined his pride. In the past, he did control the Nine-Tails with only the Sharingan. For some reason, he couldn't do the same thing even after obtaining the most powerful eye among the three great Doujutsu.
"Perhaps... this beast was already controlled by someone else?" Madara suspected. That question messed up his mind and made him curious to find out the answer. Nonetheless, there was only one way to know and thus, he entered Kraken's mindscape.
Within The Mind of Kraken
The first thing welcoming Madara when he came in was an empty space with only white color. Moreover, there was a white humanoid being with no features, who was praying in front of a cross.
All of a sudden, as if it was aware of his presence, the humanoid entity turned back face-to-face with him. That was when everything became weird, with every step toward Madara, the humanoid avatar's shape changed as well.
"Who are you?" He asked but didn't get any reply. To his terror, the unknown humanoid entity had transformed to have the same shape as him. Despite the emotionless face, it kept approaching the Uchiha and held out its hand. All of a sudden, Madara couldn't move or speak as if some force had taken the control of his body.
"Why I can't move? This situation is not good at all..." Madara thought in anxiety.
When there were only a few inches before it could reach Madara, an unknown voice spoke up.
"I won't let you kill that human." Another almighty entity had interrupted, cutting the connection between Madara and the Honkai Beast's mind. Thanks to this interference, Madara was saved narrowly and brought to another dimension.
In An Unknown Dimension
"Where am I?"
Madara found himself in a completely different place. At the moment, he was in the presence of an omnipotent entity. It was a giant humanoid entity, possessing blue skin with straight white lines running down the whole body. It had three light blue eyes, two eyes on the sides and one on the forehead.
However, what concerned Madara most was the space around him. There were countless widened light blue eyes staring at him from all sides. However, Madara wasn't afraid at all since he sensed this entity had no hostile intent toward him.
That entity was an Otsutsuki God, who used to be a member of the Otsutsuki clan in the past. After spending millions of years absorbing energy from his universe, he had evolved to become an omnipotent God beyond all beings and understanding. However, the price of becoming a supreme being was great as well. He had lost his physical body and was imprisoned within this space for eternity.
After a while, the Otsutsuki God finally kept an eye on Madara. With just a glance, he immediately recognized the powerful eyes Madara possessed and decided to have a conversation with him.
"Rinnegan?... Interesting! This is the first time I see another race possess them."
"Wait a minute... now I see. You are a descendant of a fellow in my clan, no wonder why you get those eyes." Without asking any questions, the Otsutsuki God already knew everything about Madara, including his mission of protecting humanity from the Honkai.
"Anyway, I have a question for you, Madara Uchiha. Do you know who is your true enemy?"
"You're kidding, right? Obviously, it's the Honkai and that's why I'm planning to kill all Herrschers." Replied to its question, the Uchiha just smirked and answered with his serious tone. After reading Wendy's memory, he had considered the Herrschers as the biggest threat to humanity. His and Obito's current goal was to hunt and slay all of them.
To his surprise, the Otsutsuki God just laughed aloud in satisfaction. After a few seconds, he calmed down a bit to explain to Madara.
"Hahaha... You're correct but also wrong, my dear Madara. Let me enlighten you a bit."
"The mysterious humanoid being you have encountered earlier is your true enemy, the Will of Honkai."
"What do you mean?" Madara raised his eyebrow since he got no clues about the mentioned entity. Seeing Madara's confusion, the Otsutsuki God began to reveal more information about the Will of Honkai to him.
"Hmph... Maybe I should explain in more detail. The Will of Honkai is an omnipotent entity that wants to destroy all civilizations."
"When a civilization becomes too advanced, the Will of Honkai will send its Herrschers to wipe out them."
"Basically, it can be seen as an examiner who tests the capability of civilizations."
" If the civilization can pass the Will of Honkai's test, it will be allowed to exist. Meanwhile, the failed one shall be exterminated."
"So why are you telling me this? Aren't the Herrschers just serving one goal to obliteratehumanity?" Madara questioned.
"Indeed, that's the point. However, they used to be humans like you. And thus, they still have humanity deep in their hearts. If somehow, you could arouse their conscience, they would be able to suppress the Herrscher personality."
"I will consider your advice as an option but just to remind you... Don't expect too much from me - Madara Uchiha is the kind of person that prefer crushing his opponents rather than dialoguing with them." Madara stated with confidence and a bit of self-arrogance in his words.
"Countless advanced civilizations have failed when trying to defeat all Herrschers. As I remember, only one civilization survived but they ironically became monsters that always desire Honkai energy..." Before the Otsutsuki God could reveal more details for Madara, his voice suddenly interrupted for no reason.
"What's happening?" Madara asked as he saw the Otsutsuki God's avatar fading away.
"... It seems the mental link between us... is becoming unstable to maintain..."
"And before we say goodbye... trust me, human... The key to winning Honkai... is to use its Herrschers against itself."
After telling Madara the way to defeat Honkai, the mind connection between the Uchiha and Otsutsuki God was completely cut down.
Return To Reality
As soon as Madara awoke in the real world, a serious headache immediately stroke him. The pain caused his head to throb and release him from his own Perfect Susanoo.
"Damn!... Why I'm out of Chakra at this moment?" Free falling at the height of over a hundred meters, Madara already believed that his death had come for him. Fortunately, a giant hand managed to catch him at the right time. It turned out Obito with his Perfect Susanoo had saved his life. If it wasn't for his partner then Madara would literally become "the Ghost of the Uchiha".
The Susanoo later put Madara inside its forehead, letting him stay beside its user.
"What's wrong with you? Just a few minutes ago, you performed like a god but now can't even sustain your Perfect Susanoo?... You have become old, Madara."
"...Shut up! You don't know the massive amount of Chakra it requires me for using Hashirama's Sage techniques!" Madara stated in annoyance. In fact, he had used up all of the Sage Chakra absorbed from Hashirama back then. From now on, he would have to learn Sage Art himself in order to use Sage Senjutsu again.
"Just kidding! Don't get mad like that!" Obito tried to comfort his partner. Until now, the relationship between him and Madara had improved pretty well. Putting their past aside, they actually trusted each other and became allies once more.
"Anyway, what's your plan for that giant Honkai Beast? Why don't we put it under a Genjutsu and make it our pet?" Obito suggested the same method they used on the Nine-Tails in the past. After being controlled by Sharingan, the beast would become a useful tool for their purpose. However, to his surprise, his idea was turned down by Madara instantly.
"I tried that already but failed in the end. The Genjutsu is useless since that Honkai Beast has been manipulated by the Will of Honkai."
"The Will of Honkai? What are you talking about, Madara?"
"Haiz... I will explain it to you later but we need to solve that Honkai Beast first. I believe you could use Planetary Devastation to seal it, right?" Madara asked him.
"Of course, just leave it to me!" Obito responded in excitement. Up to this point, he hadn't used the strongest ability of the Rinnegan yet, the Deva Path. Like the name, it was a destructive technique on a large scale since it could create terrible devastation on a vast land.
"I don't need this mask anymore!" The Uchiha took off his mask to reveal the 3 tomoe Rinnegan. Using all of his concentration, Obito widened his left eye and aimed at Kraken as the target.
"Planetary Devastation!" The ground surface began to shake and shatter when its countless fragments were dragged into the sky. Kraken basically became a giant magnet as it pulled all of the rubble in the vicinity toward it. After multiple layers of rubble formed covering the Honkai Beast, a large satellite was created in the sky.
"Well done... Your performance is quite impressive!" Madara gave Obito praise for his work. At the current, his comrade was sweating and breathing heavily since a significant amount of his Chakra was consumed by casting the technique.
"There's still one thing I have to do... Kamui!" Obito then teleported the whole artificial planet into his pocket dimension. Although Kraken was sealed inside the satellite, its presence may attach curiosity from the people and international organizations in the world. For the safety of Tokyo, it was better for him to keep it out of their sight.
Meanwhile, on a building from afar, an unknown person witnessed the entire battle between them and the gigantic Honkai Beast. It was a man wearing a black raincoat with a single-eyed white mask, only showing a shining red eye under his mask. He was none other than Grey Serpent, who had been finding someone that could replace Kevin Kaslana as the leader of World Serpent. After a long time of searching in desperation, fortune finally smiled on him today. Under his mask, Grey Serpent smiled in satisfaction since his patience had been rewarded.
"After all of those years... I finally have found an alternative candidate for him!"
