The battlefield on Madara's side
The Uchiha jumped out of the tower and gently landed on the ground. Madara gave Schicksal's Valkyries a deadly glare as he stared at them with his Sharingan.
"Which of you want to die first?" Madara was not known as the Ghost of Uchiha for nothing. His statement made all Valkyries feel a chill running down their spines. They swallowed their saliva while sweat poured from their brow. In the end, no one dared to reply to his question.
The deadly silent atmosphere finally ended as Madara rushed into the Valkyries at an astonishing speed. However, none Valkyries could react to his immense velocity. As an inevitable consequence, the master of World Serpent started slaughtering them.
The first Valkyrie facing Madara was a scythe user, a member of the Immortal Blades. Unfortunately for her, she immediately turned into Madara's prime target by holding his symbolic weapon. Madara pierced her head with a sharp black rod and then obtained her scythe conveniently. Later, Madara wielded the scyther to slash multiple Valkyries on his way. He quickly took away their lives like a Grim Reaper. In just half a minute, the heads of 15 Valkyries were cut off from their bodies. With such high-speed movements, it was understandable that the Valkyries could not keep up with him.
Nonetheless, Madara did not have the upper hand for too long in this battle. As he once said before, nothing ever went as planned in this accursed world. Even as a genius, arrogance would cost him if he let his guard down. In a subjective moment, Madara made a mistake that he could never predict.
When a brave blonde-haired Valkyrie of Schicksal confronted him, she looked into his eyes directly without knowing their abilities. Madara smirked, this was the perfect condition to cast Genjutsu and make her fall for illusions. Following the instincts of an Uchiha, he tried to put her in a Genjutsu through their eye contact.
"What!?" Madara was stunned, nothing had happened! His Genjutsu did not work on his enemy once again. However, he did not have time to care about that. Before the Valkyrie could land a punch on him, Madara quickly switched his eyes to Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan and manifested a ribcage Susanoo covering himself. To his surprise, his defense was destroyed by the young blonde-haired woman, which only whose strength at Kage level could do. Her fist easily penetrated the Susanoo's skeletal structure and hit Madara with a powerful force. The impact made the Uchiha cough a bunch of blood and sent him dozens of meters away.
After a few seconds, Madara's wound got recovered with the healing powers of Hashirama's cells. But now the situation had been reversed. He could no longer overwhelm the Valkyries and take advantage of their fear. Leaving that aside, what concerned Madara more was the effectiveness of Genjutsu in this world.
"What's wrong with my Genjutsu? This has been the second time that my Genjutsu doesn't work in this world." He thought it was just his bad luck back when he failed to control the gigantic Honkai Beast in Tokyo. Now he realized there was a connection between both cases. These Valkyries and the Honkai Beast must share something in common that made them immune to Genjutsu.
"That's Master Durandal! Thank goodness, we're saved!" On the other hand, the fighting spirit of Valkyries was raised by the appearance of Durandal. By damaging and repelling their enemy, the blonde-haired Valkyrie had given hope to her comrades. She also had proven that the title of Schicksal's strongest Valkyrie was given to her for a reason.
"Keep your guard up, everyone! The enemy isn't defeated yet!" Durandal gravely commanded. All of a sudden, she heard clapping from the opposite side. It turned out the sound was made by her mysterious opponent, giving Durandal praise for her earlier assault.
"So you're Durandal? I have heard of you before. As expected of the strongest S-Rank Valkyrie, the power in your punch says it all. However, the battle has just begun, and I'm looking forward to your performance-" Before Madara could finish his statement, the blonde-haired Valkyrie interrupted him with an aggressive attitude.
"Shut up, you murderer! I don't have time to listen to your chatter!" Durandal then stabbed the lance she was holding into the ground. Using the power of the 6th Divine Key, countless huge climbing plants started growing swiftly from the ground. Moreover, they also rapidly approached Madara's position.
"Very well, then I guess the playtime is over. I won't hold back on you anymore."
"Fire Release: Majestic Destroyer Flame!" Madara later countered her blow with a literal sea of flames. The plants were engulfed in the sea of flames and burned to ashes within seconds.
On the other side, inside the laboratory
While Madara was busy buying time for his partner, Obito teleported into the lab using Kamui. He wanted to investigate the lab of Schicksal with a specific purpose. It was to collect Herrscher of the Void(Sirin)'s DNA for his secret plan, which may be used in the future.
Unlike his expectation, the lab was empty without even a shadow. There were no scientists to be found inside. However, Obito did learn from his mistake when he and Madara broke into Pfizer's laboratory in Tokyo before. With his experience, the security cameras had been prioritized to destroy first. Obito demolished them with several black rods shooting from his palm.
In the process, he did not encounter any obstacles, everything went smoothly as he wished. After getting what he wanted, the second Uchiha coincidentally discovered a damaged experiment pod with broken glass lying on the floor. It seemed Herrscher of the Void had taken over control of her vessel and escaped before he arrived.
"No wonder why.." While Obito was muttering, he suddenly heard the sound of a big explosion from outside. Herrscher of the Void must be causing troubles out there. It was time for him to execute his mission.
"Kamui!" Obito's shape twisted like a swirl with the air surrounding him. As always, he disappeared into thin air like a ghost.
Meanwhile
"Ah... hnnggh..." Fu Hua breathed heavily and hissed in pain. She had been defeated by Herrscher of the Void and now was being strangled by her opponent. The Herrscher gradually clenched her hand on Fu Hua's neck to make her victim short of breath.
"Unfortunately, you're just a human." Herrscher of the Void said in arrogance.
"I must admit, you are slightly different from yourself in the past. Odd! You didn't go all out against me... Why? You wield two Divine Keys, and yet you refuse to unleash the second one."
"..." Instead of answering her question, Fu Hua chose to keep silent. She was waiting for a chance to reverse the current situation. Would a miracle happen to save her?
"Why don't you use it? Perhaps you don't know how. Maybe it's... unusable? No matter, you can't change anything! Go meet your-" While the Herrscher was still speaking intently, a sharp black rod came from nowhere and pierced her hand.
Herrscher of the Void was shocked, she realized this tool and knew its capability. Having no hesitation, the Herrscher immediately released Fu Hua to remove the black metal stick on her hand. However, if she was attacked by this thing, it also meant... The Herrscher glanced beside her to see the one responsible for this sneak attack.
"Your executioner has come!" The mysterious masked man declared while pointing at the queen of Honkai. It turned out to be Obito, Madara's fellow in the previous encounter. To her surprise, his attire had changed completely compared to before. The current mask was white and revealed both his eyes. His right eye was red while the left one was purple with 6 concentric circles. Both shared a common feature of having 3 commas around their pupils.
"I remember you, human!" The Herrscher retorted but then realized her enemy arrived alone. She smiled slightly due to the absence of the man who had killed Wendy before. In Herrscher of the Void's eyes, Madara was considered as a real threat to her existence rather than Obito.
"Wait a second... Where is your friend? You really think you can defeat me yourself?" The Herrscher said in a mocking tone.
"You mean Madara? At the moment, he is busy playing with Schicksal's Valkyries. But I alone am enough to take you down." Obito stated in confidence.
"Tsk... You better know your place, human! That statement is ridiculous like you!" Herrscher of the Void snapped her fingers and created a field of time deceleration surrounding them. Except for the Herrscher herself, everything within the area was slowed down to just 2% of their actual speed.
Unfortunately, Obito had predicted this move before and devised a way to counter it. He simply just transferred himself into the Kamui's dimension. Although he was still visible, his real body was unaffected by the time deceleration.
The Herrscher later summoned several subspace lances and launched them at the Uchiha. However, her attempt to attack was in vain since he phased through them at ease. At this point, everything she threw at him was totally useless.
"That's all you have?" Obito mocked his opponent while waiting for something to happen. As he expected, the field of time deceleration had its time limit since Herrscher of the Void could not sustain it for a long time. After 10 seconds, its existence finally came to an end.
"Now it's my turn- Fire Release: Bomb Blast Dance!" Obito expelled from his mouth a large stream of fire. In addition, he used Kamui to draw out a whirlwind, aiding the formation of the fiery spiral. The blaze soon turned into a massive fire vortex and rushed toward the Herrscher. The strike moved in a spiral trajectory, making it impossible for his enemy to predict its way. Herrscher of the Void simply could not create a portal and redirect his attack back to him.
Suddenly, a large shadow passed over him and came toward the Herrscher. From above, a Judgment-class Honkai Beast called Benares landed beside its master. The giant draconic Honkai beast stretched its wings and used them as a shield to protect the Herrscher. Obito's fire vortex was eventually nullified as Benares's durable wings successfully blocked it.
"So this is your pet huh? But look like it hasn't gotten a leash yet!" Obito yelled while floating in the middle of the air. He unleashed multiple large-sized black rods from Kamui's dimension, piercing and pinning down the Void Queen's servant.
Moreover, some Chakra chains materialized between his hand and the black receivers on Benares. The Uchiha would like to see if all the powers of Six Paths were still useful in this world. The Rinnegan he received from Hagoromo granted him 6 unique abilities and he had tried 5 of them already. Up to this moment, the only power he had not used yet was the Preta Path. To Ghost's surprise, he was able to perform it. With Preta Path, Obito absorbed Benares's Honkai energy bit by bit and transferred it into his own Chakra. This would be good news for him and Madara since they both were Rinnegan users.
Benares eventually was conquered by the Ghost of World Serpent. The Honkai beast tried to break the oversized black stakes on its body. Yet, the Herrscher's servant felt powerless as the Honkai energy inside it was fading rapidly. When Obito was joyful with his discovery, countless lightning stroke down at his place. The Herrscher's attack left him no choice. Ghost was forced to dodge them since he couldn't use Kamui while draining Benares's Honkai reserves.
On the other hand, Herrscher of the Void was mad after seeing her most loyal servant defeated and tortured painfully. She thought it would be an easy win for her but reality had proved the opposite. From the beginning of this fight, Obito had been the one who had the upper hand. He was always one step ahead of her, negating all of her attacks with his intangibility. Unless she had a proper plan, she would lose to this sinister human. The earlier lightning she summoned with Gem of Conquest's power was to scout her opponent.
"I start to understand your ability, inferior insect!" The Herrscher finally found a weakness in her enemy's power. At least it was her belief for now. Obito could only get intangible while being defensive. The situation before had confirmed it when he didn't phase through the lightning but decided to dodge them instead. If she could exploit this weakness by tricking him into an offensive position, she may have a chance to win this battle.
However, she must free her beloved servant first. Using Gem of Serenity, Herrscher of the Void unleashed a black mist of deadly gas into the air. The fog started corroding the huge black rods on Benares along with the Chakra chains from Obito's hand. They evaporated into thin air within seconds. The dragon finally got rid of Obito's restraint as the black stakes stabbing it had ceased to exist.
"Leave this place, Bella." The Herrscher ordered her servant through their mind communication. Despite that, the dragon roared melancholy, refusing to abandon its queen.
"Thank you for protecting me earlier. But don't worry, your master will never lose to that pathetic mortal." Herrscher of the Void reassured it while acting tough. Yet deep inside, she was extremely nervous about the result of this battle. Those may become her last word for Bella. Benares eventually followed its queen's order and flew away from the battlefield.
"Chidori!" Lightning began to gather in Obito's right hand. Along with it was a sound reminiscent of many birds chirping produced by the high concentration of electricity. His right hand had turned into a perfect weapon to kill the Herrscher. He never thought there would be a day when he had to use Kakashi's technique. Ironically, this was the Jutsu he hated most because it took Rin's life.
"Come, human!" Herrscher of the Void provoked her opponent. The trap she prepared for him had been finished. The moment Obito attacked her without his guard on, his death would be guaranteed. As the Herrscher predicted, the Uchiha began charging at her with his hand enhanced by lightning. Several lightning struck down along his way pointlessly since he was still intangible.
As the distance between Obito and Herrscher of the Void got shortened, he slowly materialized his body. Though Herrscher of the Void continuously spammed lightning from the sky, it was not really a concern with his rapid speed while using Chidori. Once he had approached the Herrscher close enough, his body was fully transferred back to reality.
Herrscher of the Void suddenly had a satisfied smile on her face. Just waiting for that, the Herrscher once again released a black mist surrounding her with Gem of Serenity. Obito unfortunately had fallen into her trap. He was caught within the deadly gas's radius and was breathing it. As a consequence, the Uchiha fell down and was granted the death he deserved.
"It's your fault for underestimating your enemy, human." The Herrscher said with the confidence of the victor. She didn't know Obito still had a card up his sleeve. And thus, what happened later made Herrscher of the Void couldn't believe her eyes. Obito's corpse had disappeared, it was nowhere to be found.
"What!? But he is certainly..." While the Queen of Honkai was still confused about this unexplainable phenomenon, a familiar hand imbued with lightning stabbed her back from behind. It easily penetrated and came out from her chest.
"...Dead?" The one standing behind the Herrscher helped her finish the incomplete sentence. That person turned out to be Obito in the flesh.
"How are you still alive?" The Void Herrscher questioned in fear.
"Izanagi - A forbidden technique which allows me to rewrite reality." Ghost responded in a calm voice while his right eye was slowly closing. Nevertheless, Ghost instantly retracted his hand as he felt something solid and rough inside his palm. When Obito opened it up, he made a slight smile behind the mask. At least the reward he got was worth the sacrifice of his Mangekyou Sharingan. It was one of Sirin's Herrscher gems, Gem of Serenity. The gem itself was a flawless sapphire giving off an enchanting gorgeous blue light.
"It seems like I've gotten what I want."
In reverse, Herrscher of the Void coughed a bunch of blood from her mouth after receiving a fatal wound. After drawing his hand back, Obito's strike had left a big hole in her chest. Moreover, the loss of Gem of Serenity even made her regeneration slower than usual. This obviously was a total failure for the Queen of Honkai. In the end, she created a portal leading to the Imaginary Space and escaped through it.
"Let's see what my Rinnegan's unique ability is." Obito said after the Herrscher was gone. Each individual who awakened Rinnegan would have a distinctive ability for their eyes. Madara's Limbo could create invisible shadow clones while Sasuke's Amenotejikara allowed him to swap places with other objects.
"Takeminakata!" Obito activated his left eye's special ability by widening it. When it occurred, his right eye suddenly became clear again without the blindness of using Izanagi. His eyesight had recovered completely as if it had returned to its original status.
"Wow! Never expected my Rinnegan to have such a wonderful ability!" Obito exclaimed in happiness. "It's time to reunite with Madara! I wonder what's going on on his side."
"Kamui!"
Return to the battlefield on Madara's side
"Have you learned your lesson yet, Durandal? Your power is nowhere near my level!" Madara declared while standing upon a colossal wood golem. Meanwhile, Durandal and her comrades were surrounded by an army of humanoid Susanoo. Durandal herself could handle a few of them but 25 at once? She obviously would be beaten to death by their quantity.
All of a sudden, a small spiral manifested in the air beside Madara until a familiar figure walked out. The Uchiha saw his partner holding something in his hand. From the beginning, Madara had known this mission wouldn't make it difficult for his disciple. Therefore, he just turned away and asked whether Obito had done his job.
"Have you got it?"
"Yes! Although I just can take a gem from her, it still counts as a win for us!"
"Well done! Before we leave this place, I guess I should give these Valkyries a surprise gift." Madara switched his eyes to Rinnegan and formed a humanoid Susanoo covering himself. Both Madara and his Susanoo did three seals simultaneously between themselves. Once the process was finished, Madara kept his eyes on the sky while waiting for something.
After several seconds, a massive shadow was cast on the ground. Its mountainous size even overshadowed the giant wood golem where the two Uchihas were standing on the top. That thing finally revealed itself after bypassing the last clouds in the sky. The Valkyries widened their eyes in fear after seeing it. Some of them immediately dropped their weapons as their fighting spirit was broken. Some others started praying to Schicksal Saint named Kallen Kaslana, hoping a miracle would happen to save their life. Those behaviors were understandable since even Durandal herself was stunned and could not believe her eyes.
"Is this the power of a god?"
"This must be my worst nightmare!"
An enormous meteorite was falling toward them from the sky. Madara had pulled it down from the upper atmosphere with the power of Deva Path.
"Are you crazy? You gonna crush us too?" Obito yelled at Madara in confusion. He didn't know what kind of insane intention Madara had in his head.
"Of course, I am not. Our Perfect Susanoo could easily cut it in half. Let's see how these girls will deal with it." The Uchiha reassured his fellow. Even in the worst case, they could easily get rid of this mess with Obito's Kamui.
The strongest Valkyrie of Schicksal took a deep breath to calm herself. At this moment, she knew the fate of more than one hundred other Valyries were relying on her. Without hesitation, she used all power of the 6th Divine Key to save their life.
"Black Abyss White Flower- Unleash your full might!" A gigantic tree began to grow at an unimaginable speed from the ground. It rose rapidly like the Beanstalk in the fairy tale called Jack the Giant Slayer. It soon reached the altitude of Madara's meteor and embraced it. The tree eventually succeeded in stopping the meteorite from crushing the Valkiryes below.
"Yes, master Durandal did it!" The Valkyries were delighted. They currently were celebrating this small victory.
"That was pretty close! You almost destroy all of them, Madara! Anyways, we have achieved what Gray Serpent demanded. It's time to retreat." In the end, Obito and his partner vanished into thin air by using Kamui.
"I admit Durandal is a quite capable Valkyrie. But now, what's she going to do to stop the second one?" Madara said when they returned to World Serpent's headquarters. That day was truly a nightmare for Schicksal. With the second meteorite Madara summoned, Valkyries's death toll reached the number of 102 and was still increasing.
